There are so many old-fashioned ways of looking at things, and if we want to be a progressive society, we have to start thinking in a different way. There's the old industry idea that you should just make sexuality a non-issue, just say your private life's your private life, and not talk about it. But that's bullshit, because private lives don't exist anymore for celebrities: they just don't.
I don't want to be looking over my shoulder all the time, thinking I have to hide, being scared of being found out, putting on a front, having a beard, going down the red carpet with some chick who is posing as my girlfriend.
That's not cool, that's not being a rock star. I can't do that.

Today is my day to work from home, so I put the TV on in the background, and flipped the channel guide a few times. Up turned Josh and Sam, a Jake movie I had never seen and just starting to boot, so I watched. Granted he was 12 or 13 at most when he made it, and it's a very small part, but the interesting thing is that most of his role was to harass his step brother for possibly being a homosexual. What a message to learn so early. By that age he would have been aware of his own attraction to males.
Interesting, I wish I could watch "Josh and Sam".
Naomi and Stephen aren't perfect, but I think they were OK with Jake's gayness from the start.
Just saw The View clip with Anne - she looks just adorable as a boy in Twelfth Night. Loved the Oscar clip of her singing with Hugh Jackman, she's got a great voice and is going to be a knockout as Judy Garland. There's even a good facial resemblance in the side-by-side pic they showed of Judy next to Anne. Can't wait! Love a good film about a musician. :)

I actually think it's may be more complicated for her. It is possible that it started out as a way to get revenge on Ryan, and fix her image in the public as the hot mom with a stud boyfriend.
But people it's been going on for a long time. I think it is just possible that Reese wants this relationship. If she thinks, or believes, that Jake is bi, not gay, then she could convince herself that this arrangement has become the real thing (at least for her).
For Reese, this may be the jackpot. She got a young man who treats her and her children well, is willing to participate in her pr stuff and will fuck her. There is no reason for her to let this go.

why is it so difficult for some of you to understand that it is possible for Jake to be a gay man and chose to have sex with Reese because it does provide some sexual release for him, and she may also expect him to fuck her, especially if she has somehow convinced herself that they could have a real relationship.
He does the photo ops and fucks her occassionally to placate her, and he gets the public relationship he wants. Meanwhile, he does his creeping on the downlow.

5:11 PM, there was a discussion about it on another blog. Most people concluded Jake and Heath were close at the time and Jake was nice to Michelle (saying she did the best job in BBM, pulling her mic to her, bringing her pillows...) because he liked Heath. Jake wouldn't have given Michelle the time of day (even less than he gave Anne) if it weren't for Heath.
