Blind Vice Friday! Closeted Stars Are Dummies!
This is just great. Not only is Crotch Uh-Lastic, whom you all met last week—-and whom I could have sworn it would be at least a few weeks before we all said hullo to again—really does have his brains stuffed deep inside his paramours’ overly tight swimsuits. See, the big-screen idol, whose pics make all kinds of bucks because their themes are all so brilliantly multiplatform, is doing things just like Toothy Tile. Now that word’s just beginning to get out that Crotch loves to lure "straight" men back to his Hollywood pad and have them don all sorts of skimpy swimwear (just so CUL can slowly take it right off), Crotchy-poo’s pullin’ an emergency Toothy!
Suddenly, Crotch's rarely seen (female) significant other is out at events more. Suddenly, the S.O.'s mentioned in media interviews. Suddenly, the S.O., who’s more East Coast based, is in Hell-Ay! None of this happened until more than just days prior to last week's baddy Blind, believe me. Oh, and then—quite the opposite—gone missing are Mr. U.L.’s previously very homo-friendly statements to the press. It’s all so Rock Hudson, really. Or Toothy Tile, as I said before. Now, a word to the surreptitious swim fan: T2, even though a surprisingly large amount of folks are buying this ersatz domesticity you're pulling off so well in the tabloids and such, it ain’t gonna work with you, bro. At least, not while you’re having nooky delivered to your house in limos. At least Tooth keeps it somewhat discreet with the BF!

There's some speculation he could be snubbed. Academy usually prefers the performances in Oscar baity films. In the next 4 months plenty of the so called Oscar baity films will be released.

YOU really sound Jealous, Really.. Lets get this right. BBM was a milestone for Heath and Jake. I guess you don't realize this, huh? If it was not a milestone for Jake and he did not do as well as Heath, most people would not be here now, including YOU. Some of us think he did just as well. Most poster here now never paid attention to Jake until BBM.
Jake also won an Award, a BAFTA, to be exact for his performance in BBM and it was well deserved IMO. Heath should have won one also or something, but
P.S. Hoffman was sure to win all awards in Heath's category that year. Although IMO Toby Jones's Capote (Infamous) was much better.

I thought Rendition was OK. Friends I went to see it with really liked Reese's performance. No, they are not into TT, Ted C., GG, Reeke etc. Don't even know of this world. Funny, they thought Jake was miscast. They thought a stronger lead male would have been better, or should I say stronger camanding voice lead male.
I thought all of the Middle eastern actors were brilliant. They moved me the most.

I think Jake is as competitive as any other young actor in HW,nothing wrong with that.
Remember: There are more actors than roles in that industry and a little of sane competition isn't hurtful.I'm sure actors compare each others careers all the time.

When the movie first came out, some fans noticed the spit string and thought it was in the script. LOL. But how can you create a spit string on purpose? I think Ang was just lucky they gave each other a wet kiss.

I think Heath was aware, that Jake was not aware that his (bi or gay) attraction could easily be seen, even though he is not effeminine. This kind of bugged me at times. Heath was aware of Jake sexual vibe or chemistry when they were in the spotlight (interviews, media).

I think way before Rendition, Jake expected Jarhead to be a big hit/make him a star, but it did not happen. When Rendition failed as well, he got scared.
Reese was totally wrong for Rendition. She generated no sympathy at all and that screeching voice - I could not even enjoy the trailer let alone the film.

The Sun [uk tabloid] announced a remarkable U-turn in its attitude towards homosexuals by declaring it would not out gay men and women just for the sake of exposing them. They don't WATCH all the films. EW are advertising what's coming up, that's all. These are not film reviews, just previews; the mag gets some on-set interviews, clips/trailers, and they use film synopsis, "buzz" and other stuff to flesh out their story.
Promo for Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio's upcoming drama "Revolutionary Road" is already gathering steam. Odd that Brothers wasn't mentioned. I can only conclude that it's so good the studio doesn't need to publicize it.

After Brothers screening they all looked quite content. I think the movie will be well received.
Of course they make all the fuss about Revolutionary Road, it's a new Leo DiCaprio movie. He'll either be nominated for this or for Body of Lies. Award voters love him.
My feeling about Brothers is that the acting from Tobey and Jake will be strong, maybe one of them will even get a nomination, but I doubt Natalie will be anything special in this. Harvard B.A. in psychology does not a great actress make.

I'm gonna say it, good thing not many read this blog (I think). But only blind people can't see the attraction between Jake and Heath. Not saying they ever acted on it, but I think they were attracted to each other. You don't need "screen tests" to see that. LOL.

Wasn't it known that Chris has/had girlfriend? Now he has escaped the city and his priority seems to be the family farm. Jake and Chris seem to have gone in opposite directions of late. I've seen this a number of times and this was before I knew who Chris was. When Jake was with Kirsten and Chris out and about, on many occasions my senses where that he and Chris's maganetism was first and foremost, and Chris was there whether he wanted to be or not (the look on Chris's face).
Sorry, that's what I read into those first glances of those pictures years ago. I know the (he's Jake's best friend Mafia) will flood the post with attacks, but none of us (none of us) know if they were more than friends and if would not make any difference to me one way or the other.

Jake and Chris are childhood friends, from vineyard summer community. G family seems to have sort of adopted Chris when Chris's mother died, of cancer, a couple of years ago.

A film may get positive reviews but the studio also assesses what kind of box office its going to draw, the comeptition etc. So even if Brothers is a good film, they may not give it a lot of promo or effort if they dont think the subject matter will entice an audience. It's all about the money afterall.
My 6th sense says Jake and Chris fooled around in their youth and may still be occassional f--k buddies, but the heat is long gone and it's just friendship remaining. The heat is reserved for Austin, punctuated by lust for Heath, cute blonds in the park, trainers etc. Jake's face does reveal all. The publisher of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal - who dumped his wife, Jane, of 28 years for pretty-boy fashion designer Nye in 1995 - has been spotted around town with Neal Boulton, the editor-in-chief of Men's Fitness magazine. Boulton is married, to a woman, with kids.
Wenner and Boulton "have been seeing each other for a number of weeks," our source said. Most recently, the two were spotted brashly embracing and kissing each other outside the Time Warner Center, at Columbus Circle, last week. The publishing pooh-bahs only ended their clinch when a by-stander started snapping their picture. The two then quickly hopped into Wenner's Mercedes and sped off, our source added.
Wenner's first relationship melted down in 1995 when he walked out on Jane Schindelheim, the mother of his three kids, to take up with Nye, who is 19 years his junior.
