Phonyspoon

Dear Ted:
Thanks for the update on Jake and Reese (and I think it's Gyllenspoon instead of Githerspoon, though you know best!). But why are you the only one out there reporting that these two are a sham? Elsewhere, all we hear about are engagement rumors.
Suzy
Chattanooga, Tenn.

Dear Let's Spoon:
Who says it's a sham, darling? They truly are adorably, terribly close. Just like sisters!

Maggie Gyllenhaal Blasts Media's 'Disrespect' After Heath Ledger's Death

MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL has hit out at the media for their reporting tactics after the death of fellow actor HEATH LEDGER - branding the industry "disrespectful".

The Secretary star blasted journalists for their style of reporting after the tragic death of the Australian actor, insisting she was "shocked" by the way they tackled the sensitive issue.

Gyllenhaal starred opposite Ledger in his final full film, The Dark Knight, in which he stars as Batman's nemesis, The Joker. And the actress - whose brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, featured alongside Ledger in 2005's Brokeback Mountain - reveals her co-star and friend's untimely death has taken its toll on her.

She tells Britain's Empire magazine, "It's hard to talk about how it's (Ledger's death) affected me personally. It's been really hard for me."

"(And) the media has shocked me with the way that they've been disrespectful in some ways."

Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment in January (08). Toxicology reports released a month later (Feb08) state he was killed by an accidental overdose of prescribed medication.

Sienna sleeps in Heath Ledger's pyjamas

SIENNA Miller has revealed she still wears a pair of Heath Ledger's pyjamas, gifted to her by Ledger's father after the actor tragically died in January this year.

Miller, who starred alongside the Aussie in 2005 flick Casanova, told Britain's Telegraph magazine she keeps Ledger alive in her heart through the blue chequered nightwear.

"Heath and I had this amazing night out in Venice with my mother," Miller told the Telegraph. "It had been pouring with rain. Heath ran out in the middle of St. Mark's square and we were running around, and I slipped over. "We all ran back to his (apartment) and he gave me these dry pyjamas to get home in," she said.

Miller returned the pyjamas to Ledger two years later when he visited her complaining that he was having trouble sleeping. "I gave them back, to help him sleep, " the actress revealed. "(But after he died,) I was so sad that I didn't have these stupid pyjamas anymore, so his father found them to give to me." Miller told the Telegraph she had the pyjamas with her in Prague during the filming of her upcoming movie, G.I. Joe.

She recently told Elle magazine Ledger's death had given her a newfound appreciation for life. "It hit me badly. I was so shocked. He was an amazing guy. I went to his funeral and just felt how terrible it was that his life turned out that way. It made me aware of how wonderful life is and how lucky I am.

Sienna once said Heath was like a brother. I think he was the kind of guy who had plenty of platonic girl-friends.
I'm glad she appreciates her life, it is a very priviledged life.

I was thinking the same thing, it's easy to blast the media NOW, but where was she when they trashed him? I like her but she’s being a hypocrite here.

I truly appreciate people like his family, DDL, Sean Penn, PSH... who despite the early nasty rumors payed tribute to Heath.
All this actors now mentioning him while doing promotional work is not the same.

This is not "blasting the media", what DDL did a couple of weeks after Heath's death was blasting the media. This is talking 5 months after her possibly future Oscar nominated co-star's death in a magazine. How terribly nice of her! /sarcasm

Here's a thought. Maybe nobody asked Maggie about it before this. Here's another thought. Magazine articles are usually done well in advance of when they hit the street.

I don't think that interview is that old though.

No, just that Jake and Reese are girlfriends.

Maggie's no better than Jake. She's promoting her new movie and trying to make excuses for Jake. By saying how hard it's been for her she's laying the groundwork for how much more devastating it must have been for Jake. What a bunch of phonies.

Anonymous said...

Agreed

Anonymous said...

No, I don't believe for a second that Jake and Maggie are inhuman.

Anonymous said...

When Jake speaks in December while promoting his movie, most people will be content. Or he'll tell journalists not to ask him questions about Heath, but I don't think that'll happen.

The average Joe/Jane thinks he was very low profile and completely devastated his BEST friend died. They don't follow Jake like some of us do. And when he talks they won't realize it's because he's promoting a movie.
We're just smarter than the average people. ;)

Anonymous said...

No, I don't believe for a second that Jake and Maggie are inhuman.

They are not inhuman, but very cautious. There are people who feel a responsibility when a friend who can't defend himself is dissed to step in and defend him, but then there are other people who think "I'll better stay out of it".

Anonymous said...

Maybe "cautious" should be replaced with "cowards"! ;)

Feelings are personal.
They are the most personal thing in the world.

Anonymous said...

When Jake promotes his movie nobody will care. The average person has no interest in Jake other than the fact that he's Reese's revenge for Ryan's cheating. Most don't even know his name. They are not going to be interested in his movie or in his movie promotion or in his comments or lack thereof concerning Heath. Jake is bland and boring now. He'll never recapture the excitement and interest that surrounded him following BBM.

Anonymous said...

"Or he'll tell journalists not to ask him questions about Heath, but I don't think that'll happen."

I think it will, unless talking about Heath serves him for something which I doubt.

Of course they are personal, I doubt there are any people who's feelings for Heath were more personal like his parent's and sister's feelings or maybe even Heath's babymama's, they still payed tribute in those difficult times.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps with PoP?

Anonymous said...

Perhaps with PoP?

No. I think most of the excitement surrounding him was due to the fact that BBM was such a groudbreaking and beautiful movie and because there was so much speculation surrounding Jake's sexuality, speculation which he worked hard to keep alive if you ask me.

Anonymous said...

Are you saying that people shouldn't talk about Heath?

Anonymous said...

"ITA 9:57PM, but I'm betting that when he does Brother promos, he'll have it pre-stated no questions about Heath, like he did with the no questions about Reese with Redition promos. Also, every single person who worked with Heath gave a comment about him, even if Jake would have said something minimal-great guy, good friend,etc-no one would have paid him any mind at all. By staying silent, he's bringing more attention to himself."

ITA with that comment.

No. I think most of the excitement surrounding him was due to the fact that BBM was such a groudbreaking and beautiful movie and because there was so much speculation surrounding Jake's sexuality, speculation which he worked hard to keep alive if you ask me.

I'd agree with that. His ambiguous comments regarding his sexuality made him interesting and exiting to the gay fans. His looks and willingness/his open mind to portray a gay man made him intersting to the straight fangirls.
This "is he gay", "is he straight" "is he bi", keeps him intersting and is still a loved discussion topic in different blogs/gossip sites like here.
IDK if he'll ever have as much success as he had with BBM, but he's still young, there'll be some good and some bad movies in his filmography.

Anonymous said...

Are you saying that people shouldn't talk about Heath?

No, of course not, but it was much more meaningful when people payed tribute when Heath name was dragged through the mud.

Anonymous said...

This "is he gay", "is he straight" "is he bi", keeps him intersting and is still a loved discussion topic in different blogs/gossip sites like here.

I don't think most people care any more. Jake now comes across as a media whore and a sidekick to Reese. He's just not interesting. I'm only interested to see how far they'll carry on the sham. I don't respect him and I don't like him.

Anonymous said...

I don't think most people care any more.

Not so sure about that, take a look at DL or OMG. They're still pretty much interested.

On sites like famousmales there are many picture posts about him, he's still hot to many, otherwise he wouldn't have won that AE hottest poll.

The fangirls voted on the AE hottest poll. If you read the comments you'll see that most were baffled by Jake's win.

I don't think it was only the fangirls. You could pick your top 10 and vote just once, you also have to be a registered member.
I think most of the votes he got from gay men and some from straight women, who shouldn't have voted anyway.

Those are TBs which are not many and anyway they'd be interested in Jake, TT and Ted no matter what. The rest of the internet just doesn't care, look at ONTD, Dlisted, etc.

Exactly. If a man can't defend a friend, how can you count on him to fight for anything? Feelings are only personal until your friend (or, to push the point, your loved one, your family, your country) gets trashed. That is when the good people stand up. Bravo Ang, Chris Nolan, DDL...and the others.

I like Maggie, and it's true she didn't have an official outlet for a statement before (as some did at awards shows), but words from her NOW over how Heath was treated ring very hollow. Where was she when the disrespect was going on?

I agree with the person who said she is helping lay the ground for Jake. Note how she makes it about herself..."it's been really hard for me." This will be Jake's line. Trust.

In Ted's column today the list of featured celebrities includes Jake and Reese, but I don't see any mention of them (unless you count the letter from someone named Jake in Boston???).

Does Ted list them because he mentioned them in the newsletter, even if they're not in the column?

Anonymous said...

11:17, exactly. To complain about how the media disrespected Heath following his death is hollow and disingenuous coming from a public figure (which Maggie is, as a well known film actress). If she truly was offended, then WHY didn't she say something to defend Heath--the way some others did? Ditto for Jake.

I remember Jake's silence after Heath's passing was continuously discussed (and argued about) on the DC forum. In one thread, a moderator (I forgot who it was) finally stepped in and said something that I thought was truly brave for that forum given how notoriously Jake-biased it's been.

He said that this would be his final statement on it but it was clear to him that Jake and Heath had not been close at the time of his death--that was apparent by Jake's silence. Because if they were indeed good friends and you're allowing your good friend's name to be dredged through the mud and you're not saying anything to defend that person, then clearly they were not close at the time of his death. Because real good friends don't do that--especially when the other can no longer defend himself (because he's dead).

I thought that was smart and on the money.

Anonymous said...

... and you're allowing your good friend's name to be dredged through the mud and you're not saying anything to defend that person...

Defend from what? Drug accusations?

Anonymous said...

Defend from what? Drug accusations?

One doesn't allow a friend's memory and reputation be sullied by anyone, in public or private. You defend your friends to naysayers, no matter what or how it affects you, IF you have the balls and integrity. Of which Jake obviously has neither.

Anonymous said...

Did anyone defend Heath?

I don't remember anyone talking about Heath's problems. Did I miss it?

Anonymous said...

Your willingness to come forward and comment on what made that person special when they were alive is a defense against naysayers. Your silence is like a tacit agreement.

Anonymous said...

Although I agree with the general idea here, I think this is another one of those let's change the subject attempts, I see nothing brave about what the mod said.

I ask you this, you think Heath Ledger was close to Ang Lee? Were they best friends? I doubt it. Yet Ang Lee did the right thing.

Not only Jake showed that he had no balls by staying silent, he proved to be very insensitive and disrespectful to Heath and his tragic death by not even showing his face at one of his memorials but posing for photo ops, a few days after Heath’s death and shopping with his beard close to the place where Heath was found.

It doesn't take a close friend to know this is in very poor taste and insensitive, maybe they weren't close, but to use that as an excuse to explain and defend Jake's behavior is utter bullshit. Sorry.

Anonymous said...

It's not about talking about his problems, it's about his friends and family making sure that everyone knew that Heath was more than just a supposed drug problem. There is no proof he had a "problem" only that he made the mistake of taking a mixture that unfortunately killed him. That's not proof of a problem (even though he may very well have had one). That's still not the point. Heath was so much more than that; He was talented, he was a devoted father, he was genuine and generous to those around him by all accounts. And THAT is what he should be remembered for. And THAT is how he should be defended.

Anonymous said...

@12:31

we basically made the same point, I just didn't see it before I posted mine. :)

I don't like what Jake did, I agree with THAT is what he should be remembered for, but don't agree that Heath needs defending.

I think Heath had a drug problem and people who knew him or worked with him knew about it.

I only wish he got arrested for it like Robert Downey Jr - he might be still alive.

From towerload.com

Well I wouldn't job to conclusions yet people...theres gonna be alot more to this story in the next couple of days. I live at 419 Broome and needless to say that I could have smelled something like this coming. And when I say "smelled" it wasn't an accuracy the NY Post printed a few days ago when Heath Ledger was spotted on in the subway station with his daughter, balling, and smelling of rot and filth. His PR people Buxbaum media really did a good job keeping this one quiet, but needless to say, those of us who would see him stumbling around SoHo(and vomiting on my front stoop at 6am)will won't be surprised when the autopsy reports come in.

Posted by: The Truth Hurts | Jan 23, 2008 1:04:42 AM

And I might add that PR did a good job of keeping a lid on it, nothing really came out. BTW, Heath was cremated in NY, I know someone that worked at the funeral home. You don't think that his family had the body in that casket for almost two weeks from NY, LA for both memorial services? They were ashes.

Anonymous said...

2:36, I thought the vomitig on stairs was in Brooklyn, now it's in Soho?
Yes, he looked mostly sad and not clean months and weeks before his death, but since he took anti depressants/anxiety meds, he probably had heavy depressions.

Anonymous said...

If Heath was such a heavy illegal drugs user, why were only legal prescription medications found in his system? How long does illegal stuff stay in your system? Does anyone know?

Anonymous said...

11:41, interesting what the moderator said, thanks.

Before we move on from this topic, I just want to say that if Jake and Heath were distant at the time of Heath's death, Jake doesn't then have the excuse for his silence of being personally devastated.

If they were only colleagues, it's still sad that he didn't have the fortitude or the heart to step up and defend a colleague.

This holds whether Heath was drugged out (on prescription pills) or not. Are people going to decline to pay homage to Paul Newman (life-long smoker, now dying of lung cancer) because he smoked, when a hundred health warnings said Smoking Kills? Heath's weaknesses don't negate all his achievements. They don't make him deserving of nothing but disrespect. But that's what was happening in the media, as Maggie says.

If the media hadn't dragged Heath through the mud, I wouldn't have expected anyone (or Jake) to say anything. But I separate grieving, a private matter, with the defense of those who can no longer speak on their own, a public act of respect for the dead.

Even those who dislike Heath have to admit the media framing of him as a drug-addled fuck-up was completely overshadowing any of his accomplishments as an actor and the larger good he did with his portrayal of Ennis. In a world where gays are still often presented as caricatures, he gave us a real person, a full human being. People like Daniel Day Lewis reminded us of this, and brought some balance back into the picture of Heath that we all carry.

Close or not personally, Jake, who worked closely with Heath in a truly fine movie, wasn't able to add anything to that picture. And that's sad.

Anonymous said...

Presciption drugs are the drugs of choice now for many people. If you watch TV at all you'll notice that there are many public service announcements about the misuse of prescription drugs. I had a family member who used to put himself in harm's way just so that he could get more painkillers. Whatever the circumstances of Heath's death it still doesn't excuse Jake's behavior following Heath's death.

Anonymous said...

But he didn't use any of the pills in excess. It was the mix that proved lethal. Why didn't he ask someone in the know before doing such a stupid thing?

" I agree with the person who said she is helping lay the ground for Jake. Note how she makes it about herself..."it's been really hard for me." This will be Jake's line. Trust."

I completely agree. This is one big set-up. Maggie doesn't have many new projects on the horizon. Until the TDK promotions begin in the fall, she's going to use Heath's death the way Jake used Reeke when Rendition tanked, Nailed started to go south, the Moon movie stalled and his career started to come apart : to keep herself in the news.

His movies and stories from those who knew him is all we have left.

Heath was not stupid. Would you take several different prescription drugs at the same time without making sure if it was Ok to do so first? He knew he had received the drugs from several different doctors. I wouldn't take an aspirin and ibuprofen at the same time unless I checked first to see if it was OK. In this day and age of the internet information about everything is at your fingertips. Even a simple call to your pharmacist will give you the answers you need about drug combinations.

Anonymous said...

3:39, did he really take them all at the same time? I read somewhere that he didn't take them at the same time. Maybe he took the anxiety meds in the morning, during the day the painkillers and before going to bed the sleeping pills?

So if we're all so convinced that it was an accident and that Heath did not have a drug problem, then why are some people blaming MK Olsen for not doing enough? The insinuation has been that she knew of his drug use and was somehow a party to it. Poor girl had no way of knowing that he had accidently combined prescribed drugs. Why would she even think that drugs were involved?

Empire, UK July - transcript of the article from the scans:

...
"This isn't an origin story for The Joker," insists Nolan. "Out Joker - Heath's interpretation of The Joker - has always been the absolute extreme of anarchy and chaos. And what makes him terrifying is not to humanise him in narrative terms. We didn't want to show what made him do the things he's doing, because then he becomes less threatening. If you look at Hannibal Lecter or someone like that, the more you explain where he comes from, the less interesting he is. so for us it was very much a question of not so much dealing with the origins of The Joker, so much as the rise of The Joker. He doesn't have a character arc as such. I like to say he cuts through the movie the way the shark does in Jaws. He just kind of comes and goes and causes complete mayhem."

He certainly poses a whole new challenge for Batman. "It's a funny meeting of these two characters," reflects Bale. "Batman I always kind of view as having this slight urge towards sadism and having to control himself in that, but the fact is, he's got an opponent who's a sadist and a masochist. Batman can punch The Joker all he wants and he knows he's actually giving him a great deal of pleasure! So he's a new kind of opponent. It's been very good and entertaining for me to do those scenes with Heath."

Even in reference to his performance as The Joker, the subject of Ledger, who died from an accidental prescription-drugs overdose on January 22, is understandably a sensitive one for his colleagues on The Dark Knight.

"It's so fresh in my mind, I'm not comfortable talking publicly about what has happened to him," says Bale.

"It was devastating. It's still unbelievable. It's difficult for me to talk about heath in the past tense," offers Aaron Eckhart.

"It's so hard to talk about how it's affected me personally," explains Maggie Gyllenhall. "It's been really hard for me. And the media has shocked me with the way that they've been disrespectful in some ways."

She's referring, at least in part, to the speculation in both the press and the blogosphere that taking on the vicious, twisted role of The Joker might have somehow pushes a troubled Ledger over the edge. This is unlikely. It ignores the fact that this was a role Ledger had long since finished with (The Dark Knight wrapped in November), as well as one which, by most accounts, he enjoyed.

Indeed, when Empire met Ledger at the LaSalle Street production base back in August, he had this to say about The Joker; "It's the most fun I've had playing a role. I'm really surprised Chris knew I could do it, or thought that I had something in me like this. And I don't know how he came to cast me. but, yeh, it's the bomb. Definitely the most fun I've had, and the most freedom."

Christian Bale tells one story that certainly bears this out. He recalls their first scene together, in which Batman interrogates The Joker down at Gotham P. D.. "It was wonderful," Bale says, chuckling slightly, "because you're doing it, and you're into it, and someone in the crew will have a question and it pulls you right out, and you turn around, and they have these two-way mirrors, so everywhere we looked we were looking at ourselves, and you suddenly see what you're looking like to everybody else. And we were just a couple of freaks!" He laughs loudly. "I'm standing there in the suit and he's there, you know, with his Chelsea smile, and it was just a couple of complete nutters. We both couldn't stop laughing!

"He was very good company, Heath," continues Bale. "I really enjoy it when somebody is pushing the work as much as he did. You can see how much he loved it."

Nolan, meanwhile speaks of his own "huge sense of responsibility to make sure that the film is as good as Heath's performance", and confirms that The Dark Knight will be dedicated to Ledger. He stops shy of predicting that this will stand as Ledger's greatest performance, though. "I think that Heath has some pretty amazing performances under his belt. Certainly, his performance in Brokeback Mountain was that most impressed me of what he'd done. Monster's Ball as well. This performance is completely different from anything he'd ever done before. I just don't think that people will even recognise him. He's a completely different guy: the voice, the movements, what's going on in his eyes... It's completely different. i think it's his most iconic performance. In taking on The Joker I suppose that's inevitable, but the fact that he pulls it of... I think it's a pretty stunning piece of work. Honestly." Back on LaSalle Street, given all this talk of The Joker as entropy incarnate, you'd expect to find the Clown Prince Of Crime at the heart of Nolan's organised chaos. Instead, the film's key player - although not instigator - is Harvey Dent, played by Aaron Eckhart. Dressed in black suit and tie, he strides purposely through the screaming throng, jaw set, eyes flaring with anger. More gunshots go off and the crowd scatters, policemen crouching low to the ground, firearms raised. But Eckhart - Dent - doesn't even react. He just walks on, determined.

What did the toxicology report say?

In a statement Ellen Borakave, spokesperson for Office of Chief Medical Examiner, confirms:

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine. We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications."

4:07 that is not what anyone is saying at all...scroll back and read s-l-o-w-e-r. The gist of this discussion is that Heath was a good man, had enormous talent and yes he did screw up. That doesn't make him any less worthy of the praise or adoration of his fans and anyone else who would take the time to see what he contributed to his chosen profession and to the people around him. There is a reason why this issue won't die down, a reason why so many were shocked and heartbroken over his untimely passing.
As far as MKO, she wasn't even in the same city when he died. Wasn't she in LA or wherever? That's another post altogether, and one I don't care to get into.

4:07, I don't think anyone is blaming MK for Heath's prescription pills use. I think some fans still wonder why the housekeeper called MK a few times before 911 and why MK didn't tell her the first time she called to call 911 or why she didn't do it herself. As I understan it Heath had MK on his speed dial. I don't know how close they were.

Paul Newman Reportedly Battling Terminal Cancer

NEW YORK -- Legendary actor and director Paul Newman is reportedly battling terminal lung cancer.

The 83-year old actor is said to have been diagnosed at New York's Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he is currently receiving outpatient treatment and is under the care of a leading New York oncologist.

Rumors of the actor's grave condition grew after he cancelled several recent appearances.

He has also pulled out of his latest project. He was slated to direct a screen-adaptation of John Steinbeck's book 'Of Mice And Men.'

As well as being an award winning actor, Newman is also the founder of Newman's Own, which offers spaghetti sauce and salad dressing.

The company donates all its earning to charity, with earnings reaching more than $100 million since its creation.

Newman has made major contributions to those less fortunate, including being on the board of directors for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, an organization that creates camps for terminally ill children.

No confirmation from the hospital or from Newman's camp.

Honestly, that is a rough list. Somebody's doctors should have been more careful.

I was on just temazepam once for just a few days, had dinner with friends and shared the wine that we ordered for the table - no other alcohol and I never do drugs. Just that alone - I went unconscious.

That stuff is dangerous. And taking6 different kinds at once - probably getting it from 6 different doctors so none of them knew about the others.

I wonder if we need a more carefully scrutinized system to make help prevent people from doing this to themselves. Most people may not know how dangerous it is.

I agree with that!

Some of Heath's tabletts were prescribed by different docs in the US and I heard others in Europe, probably during filming.

Miller returned the pyjamas to Ledger two years later when he visited her complaining that he was having trouble sleeping. "I gave them back, to help him sleep, " the actress revealed. "(But after he died,) I was so sad that I didn't have these stupid pyjamas anymore, so his father found them to give to me."

What a sweet story!

Yes, this is exactly what I feel. And interesting that the "poor girl" is in rehab. Don't ask me to shed any tears for that scrawny assed, fur-wearing twit - she's still alive and Heath is not. When asked about him, she could at least say something positive, yet private, instead of clamming up entirely.

I dont know why most of the comments are about Heath today when we have such a juicy confirmtion from Ted that Reeke are just girlfriends. I guess everyone here is so sure of that already there is nothing left to discuss.

I think Heath probably took that combo before with no problems. But this time he was coming off a cold or flu and was jet lagged. Different result, unfortunately. I think the report specifically said no alcohol in his system. Even if he had used illegal drugs at one time, it seemed pretty clear he had not been using them recently.

As for the stories like this, there is no way if they were true that the tabloids wouldn't have got hold of them and ran them. No way. The tabloids would have been after all the dirt on Heath they could find, yet this stuff was somehow kept quite? Please.

Close or not personally, Jake, who worked closely with Heath in a truly fine movie, wasn't able to add anything to that picture. And that's sad.

Exactly. Jake was Heath's most famous co-star and his colleague and yet he couldn't even bring himself to honour his memory, when people who didn't even know Heath could.

"I'm really just so very shocked," she said. "He was an incredibly sweet, kind-hearted and enthusiastic person.

"And, you know, he loved his daughter - I mean, that was like the light of his life. It's just a terrible loss."

Heath's character is what made him who he was whether or not he had a problem with depression or drugs.

Sarah Larson is telling friends she’s the one who dumped George Clooney

Both the National Enquirer and Star Magazine have stories this week that 29 year-old Sarah Larson is telling friends that she’s the one who broke it off with Oscar-winning actor George Clooney, not the other way around. Earlier stories had Clooney, 47, surprising Larson with the split, leaving her heartbroken as she packed up her stuff and moved out of his LA mansion and back to Vegas.

Now Larson supposedly claims that she got sick of Clooney’s on-again off-again affections and that she’s the one who chose to end it. As if that sounds believable: “She’s claiming that she broke up with him because his love was so inconsistent,” says one source. “She said he was hot and cold with her, and she just couldn’t tolerate it anymore.”

But it seems former Fear Factor winner Sarah, 29, may just be trying to put out her own version of the story because, according to multiple other sources, George dumped her. “She tends to get too attached to her boyfriends,” says a play of Sarah. “She was getting too clingy, and George just had enough. She was demanding too much attention, and it was driving him away. They had been on the rocks since April, and this was just the final straw for George.”

I do not at all believe Jake is straight and I do think him and Austin were more than just friends. I hesitate to say he's gay, but I think he is bi at least. But I'm also not sure if Heath's one and only homosexual experience was with Jake (in the movie), I wouldn't be surprised if he experimented with the same sex as well. Frankly I think most stars in the entertainment industry have same sex experiences.

Hollywood is full of beautiful, employed young actors, but beauty is not enough (Brandon Routh?). One example - October Sky, Jake's first big role - good movie and good acting. That counts for something.

My point - there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, but trying to be objective isn't wrong either.
