If you do look at the pic closely though, you will notice that there was another person with them at the table but isn't in the shot. There is a coffee cup on the oppisite side of the table in front of Adam and Adam is sitting next to Jake. If it was just the 2 of them, wouldn't Adam have sat across from Jake so they could talk. He would have only sat next to him if there was another person with them and that person sat across from them as the other coffee cup suggests. No saying it's Austin (personally I think whatever that had has been over for awhile), but there was someone else joining them for lunch that wasn't caught in the pic.

Someone's civil rights are another matter, and are protected (or should be) under the law. People have a right to their beliefs as long as they don't impose on someone else's rights.
Jackie, thanks for deleting. I would ask you to consider deleting the posts at 4:15 and 5:00 also, because it is unfair to single out one group when there are other religious groups who believe the same. Dec 12, 2011 -- In light of the extensive media coverage concerning the attitude of Orthodox Judaism towards homosexuality, the Rabbinical Council of America, the largest Rabbinical group within Orthodox Judaism, has decided to issue the following clarifications:
1. The Torah and Jewish tradition, in the clearest of terms, prohibit the practice of homosexuality. Same-sex unions are against both the letter and the spirit of Jewish law, which sanctions only the union of a man and a woman in matrimony.
2. Attempts to ritualize or celebrate same-sex unions are antithetical to Jewish law. Any clergyman who performs or celebrates a same-sex union cannot claim the mantle of Orthodox Judaism.
3. While homosexual behavior is prohibited, individuals with homosexual inclinations should be treated with the care and concern appropriate to all human beings. As Rabbis we recognize the acute and painful challenges faced by homosexual Jews in their quest to remain connected and faithful to God and tradition. We urge those Orthodox Jews with homosexual tendencies to seek counsel from their Rabbis. Equally, we urge all Rabbis to show compassion to all those who approach them.
4. On the subject of reparative therapy, it is our view that, as Rabbis, we can neither endorse nor reject any therapy or method that is intended to assist those who are struggling with same-sex attraction. We insist, however, that therapy of any type be performed only by licensed, trained practitioners. In addition, we maintain that no individual should be coerced to participate in a therapeutic course with which he or she is acutely uncomfortable.
5. We pray that God will ease the way for all who struggle with a full heart to feel His presence in their lives.

And no, there is no need to post about other religions and their views about homosexuality at the same time, no need to make that statement less bad.
That's not the issue - the issue is they are not the only ones with that opinion. You need to hightlight all of them, not just one, because most every religion has the same opinion.
FYI, I don't really have a religious affiliation (I was raised a Congregationalist Protestant UCC, so perhaps that is why I have such encompassing views, I believe in them all, and I don't let others tell me what to believe, nor do I let organized religion dictate to me who I or other should love or marry. I know what I feel in my heart about God and spirituality.

I think there were plenty of arguments if you had scrolled through to read them. You need to become familiar with culture and religion, and the differences between them. Maybe whoever posted isn't quite a bigot, but they do seem to be quite ignorant of certain things.
For example, just because Jake is Jewish on his mother's side does not mean he's Orthodox, nor does it mean he's responsible for the Rabbinical Council of America's standing on certain issues (even tho he's served on a few cinematical review boards, go figure!) - he's not responsibile for or complicit in the views of entire religion, as far as I know. He may or may not be a practicing Jewish person, and has said he is Buddhist as well. They don't have to be mutually exclusive of course, but I don't know what Jake's religious beliefs are.
At any rate, I think if you have grievances about certain religion's views that's your right, but try to take the high road and be respectful around holidays, if you would like respect in return.
