I've read a lot of ignorant comments regarding Ricky's coming out that remind me that no matter how far we've come, there is a long, long way to go. So, thank you, Ricky, for knocking down one more brick.

I was pleasantly surprised about Ricky Martin's decision to get himself out in the open, since I thought he was one of those candidates who would stay in the closet forever. OK, I think no one was really surprised he is gay, but still. Granted, he did out himself in his own time, but it still was a big decision to make. To my mind he did the right thing for himself and those two boys of his, and I wish them all the best. So since there is a child involved as well, do you think that Toothy and Grey Goose took note and got to thinking a little? They can't keep up their charade forever, can they? Or do you think they are so deep in the closet already that there is no turning back?

Definite bravo to Ricky, but there is still a big difference between him and Toothy coming out. While I think there's definitely a chance T2 could come out sometime in the near future, I wouldn't expect Ricky's success to inspire Toothy to come sprinting out of his closet.

It's not the Industry people, per se, that would stop T2 and G2 from working: it's the general public. If the viewers find out Toothy and hubby's secret, certain groups may be less inclined to see their movies, which the studio folks do not want.

All true; however, it's not just how he pings (and he does! it's like he's really relaxed and just being himself) in these videos or the fact that Jake is soft, as you put it, that makes me believe he is gay. The list of reasons is long and it's not hard to connect all the dots.
His arms are folded and he is self-protecting. That is not a comfortable picture. I've seen happy pictures of them and that ain't happy.
I was thinking about it and concluded if it's true that Heath didn't want to pose, maybe he was being moody (he had a rep. for that)? And Michelle stepped in? She seemed very fond of Jake. I noticed that at the Toronto press conference, she put her hand on Jake's back when he embarrassed himself to reassure him.
That being said, I still doubt Heath refused to pose.

This is so true. It's surprising how many similarities are between them.
I think Ricky will open a lot of doors, not only for gay latinos and because he is a father, but because he is the first successful entertainer marketed as a sex-symbol to be out when he is still in his prime. He is talented, hot and very respected for his charity work. I know that in the USA it's perceived that his career is in decline, but he has a lot of success internationally. He is still huge in Latin-America, Europe and Asia. His decision to come out is wonderful. I think he will influence change.

Maggie Gyllenhaal was at The Darker Side of Green Climate Change Debate in New York yesterday. Am all over this blouse. Love it. And she looks LONG. Because she is long. I had to crank my head up at her at the Spirit Awards a few weeks ago in LA on the carpet. Most celebrities are smaller than you think they are. Almost always. Maggie is tall. She looks extra tall here. That’s a lot of leg.
Maggie can currently be seen in theatres in the UK in Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang. She apparently delivers a flawless accent. Said co-star Rhys Ifans:
"It was amazing. I didn't realise she was a Yank until about three weeks in. She kept it going the whole time, even in the make-up trailer, this pristine period English accent. I almost wanted to spill hot coffee on her to see what it would take to get this girl to do (an) American (voice). She was that good."

And when it comes down to it, I don't think the accent will have anything to do with the movie's success or lack of success. Most of the people going to see this movie won't really care one way or another.

What Are Blind Items Articles
A blind item is an article about a particularly shocking habit (usually sex or drug-related) of a movie or TV celebrity. To protect the identity of the star and to protect the author of the article from possible lawsuits, the name of the celebrity is omitted from the text and replaced with a nickname. This nickname, along with other well-hidden clues throughout the article, can help readers identity the true identity of the star.
Other websites benefit from blind items by running forums or groups where readers can find out the most popular guesses for the true identity of each celebrity mentioned in the blind section of the gossip sites.
Toothy Tile and the Blind Items Stars
Blind items have created an interesting phenomenon where some of the nicknames used in those columns are now almost as famous as the stars behind them.
One such moniker is Toothy Tile. This moniker, used by Ted Casablanca in his Awful Truth column on E!online, has been the star of many articles. In those, details about the star's hidden homosexual life and his relationship with another male actor nicknamed Grey Goose are told in details. Because of the number of clues given throughout the years by Mr Casablanca, most of his readers have now guessed the true identity of Toothy Tile, creating an interesting phenomenon where a male star still poses with gorgeous women in magazines while details of his gay relationship are now posted on many popular Internet websites.
The Impact of Blind Items on the Movie Industry

Lending their musical talents to Disney films has scored hits and awards for artists like Randy Newman, Elton John, Christina Aguilara and Sting. Now Alanis Morissette has teamed with the entertainment giant, writing 'I Remain' for the upcoming film 'Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.'
The movie, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley and Gemma Arterton, was a natural vehicle for Morissette, who penned the song about Arterton's princess character. 'I Remain' -- co-written with Mike Elizondo, who worked with Morissette on 'Wunderkind,' her track from 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' -- brings a Middle Eastern flavor and a soft backbeat to a dark and enigmatic flavor. A new strategy, currently considered by some studio executives, would be to simply allow their stars to be much more open about their true private lives. For example, gay stars could be encouraged to come out, therefore ending the rumor mill. Since at least half of the blind items are about closeted celebrities, this could at least take care of a major part of the issue.

Summary: A socially awkward small-town receptionist has a nail accidentally shot into her head by a clumsy workman, eliciting wild sexual urges. Going on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured, she meets an immoral congressman who takes advantage of her sex drive and her own career plans.
Analysis: No production in this entire guide has gone through more reported trouble than this David O. Russell-directed political comedy which filmed in early-mid 2008. From alleged prima donna behaviour from cast members you wouldn't expect, to cast and crew walkouts, and most visibly financing problems leading to numerous production shutdowns.
The $25 million indie didn't so much wrap as limp to the finish line in June 2008 with a few crucial scenes, including the key one where Biel's character gets the nail in her head, apparently going unfilmed. Biel herself in an interview in May confirmed that the film is sitting around unfinished but hopes it will come out some day.
Unfortunately no-one else related to the production has gone on record about its fate so finding out what state the film is in at this juncture and whether a working cut can be released is almost impossible. Russell himself has moved on and despite recent talk that the film could be on offer for sale in Cannes at May, "Nailed" has essentially become like the 2005 Matt Damon-drama "Margaret" - one of those lost projects that may never see the light of day.

I've heard the trailer and Jake's accent. I've also heard Jake's voice many times. I'm not convinced it is Jake doing the trailer, or most of it anyway. Rumor was they had to bring someone in to redub the film because his voice did not work. It is not the voice in that POP interview. Let's see how it sounds when the film is actually released.

There is one pic of Austin wearing a pinky ring at a concert a few months bac with Sophia and he has one on during a photoshoot. The one pic of Austin wearing a ring on a chain was over 2 years ago at that music festival in Austin wear he was shirtless and to me it looked too big for a pinky ring. He has been wear a gold ring, not a band on his right finger lately.
The pinky ring that Jake is wearing is an old ring given to him by his mother according to an interview, it say Carpe Diem on it. He also ised to wear a gold plain pinky ring and a pinky ring with a black diamond, all worn on his left pinky. He also used to wear a silver band. The interview videos were taped in late January or early February whrn he started wearing them again. Recent pics, he is not.

This happened about 4 years ago and Ive always been curious who this person was because frankly I tell the story and it was hilarious and I feel like an idiot.
About 4 years ago I was up late studying in my house on campus at The University of Illinois. There were 7 of us who lived there in probably the shittiest house on campus. In order to furnish our house we borrowed lots of random furniture from people and between the 7 of us who knows who got whatever from wherever.
At about 3 am some girl who (dont remember her name) is about 120 lbs and obviously drunk/high knocks on my door and says she came here to get Jake's lazy boy back. I said Jake who? and she replied Jake Gyllenhaal. The name ringed a bell and I asked her if he was a football player (we borrowed some furniture from some football players too) and she replied "yes". I said Oh, Ok, which is his? Then we went to the living room and she pointed to the nicest lazy boy we had (which is pretty fucking big). I thought it was unusual this Jake Gyllenhaal guy wanted his furniture back at 3 am and sent a little girl to come get it but, whatever. Then she wants to carry it home, I help her load this lazy boy onto her shoulders and then she walks out of the house carrying the lazy boy on her freaking shoulders down the street until I cant see her anymore.
The next day my roommates all asked where the hell the lazy boy went, I replied Jake Gyllenhaal wanted it back and some girl came to get it at 3am last night. They all just looked at me like I was half retarded and couldn't help but laugh. I was confused until they told me who he was. Little did I know Jake Gyllenhaal is a famous actor. The lazy boy was actually my roommates own chair.
Essentially, Some little half drunk/high girl came into our house probably after the bars, (I didnt know who Jake Gyllenhaal was but it "rang a bell") She convinced me that he needed his lazy boy back, and this little girl walked out of our house with my roommate's lazy boy. Then proceeded down the street with a big ass lazy boy on her back. In hind sight it was pretty funny and stupid on my part. I got duped bad.
To this day I cant help but think how some girl tells her friends this story of how she walked into a random house after the bars and told some guy Jake Gyllenhaal needs his chair back and walked out carrying a big ass lazy boy down the street.
If anyone knows who this person is I would like to just meet and congratulate her. Its a pretty funny story. Thats all.

My cousin is a close friend of one of Ricky's closest friends, and it was well known that the girlfriend was for public use only, although she was a close friend. He kept a condo for his then boyfriend in San Juan. This was in the late 90s/early 2000s. Today Ricky Martin dropped a crazy truth bomb on the world and acknowledged he is a "homosexual man." Yeah, duh! But he's not the only public figure still hiding—unsuccessfully—in the glass closet.
All of these people really need to come out because it is so painfully obvious to the world that they are gay that when and if they finally announce it, we're probably going to be laughing at them. (See Sean Hayes for another recent example of this.) Coming out should be an occasion for joy, not for a bunch of people snickering about how they saw it coming for years. It's already too late for many of these people, but how about standing up and being counted now and not making it worse by waiting?

Trying to explain to the dumb as a box of rocks that post here that these interviews are NOT new. He wore the plain pink ring on 2/10, afterwards he wore the Carpe Diem band. Some of us think Jake and Austin have matching and/or very similar rings that may be symbols of their relationship. Jake didn't wear any rings on his fingers when he was with bitchface, but he was caught wearing a ring on a chain around his neck when it peeked out between two buttons of his shirt.

He did it for himself, and for his sons to have a role model who claimed his truth, not a father living as someone he's not.
Then there's the nearly polar opposite outing by the press of the marriage and family-pulverizing lies of Tiger and Jesse. "Why?", everyone is asking. It all seems so pointless.
