Must Watch: First Trailer for Jim Sheridan's Brothers said...

This is aiming for one of those five extra Best Picture nomination spots. I can already tell. The first trailer for Jim Sheridan's Brothers has finally showed up on YouTube (via The Playlist) courtesy of ET even though it's already showing in theaters in front of Public Enemies. Brothers stars Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Tobey Maguire and is yet another Iraq / Afghanistan movie like every other one we've seen come and go in the last few years.

Sure, it looks emotional, it looks like a tough story for many reasons, and it has a good cast, but is it going to actually be any good? We'll find out in December whether it is or not.

I will never understand why movie studios allow for their trailers to debut on "Entertainment Tonight" with that shoddy logo slathered on the video and an ugly bootlegged version of it showing up online, but that's what we have here when it comes to our first look at Jim Sheridan's Brothers, which stars Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman and is set to be released by Lionsgate on December 4.

The film was expected to be a potential Oscar contender last year, but didn't make it to theaters and will, instead, make an awards season run this year. The film is a remake of Susan Bier's Danish-language war drama centering on a man (Maguire) who is sent to fight in Afghanistan while his black-sheep brother (Gyllenhaal) cares for his wife and child.

Check out that trailer below and stay tuned as I will add an official version to the site once it becomes available.

It makes me not afraid to share certain things."

Gene Simmons: Adam Lambert 'Killed His Career' by Coming Out

In a mid-June interview with FOX Philadelphia, Gene Simmons said that Adam Lambert should stop talking about his sexuality.

Said Simmons: ""Mostly he should shut up about his sexual preferences. We, America, the rest of the world, really don’t care. I mean, if the story becomes ‘I prefer farm animals to,’ you know, who cares? Be quiet about what it is you do indoors and go out there and sing."

In a more recent interview, AOL asked Simmons why he was "talking smack" about Lambert:

"I don't think I've been talking smack at all. In fact, if anything, I've been soft-peddling. He's enormously talented, best talent 'American Idol' has had, but I think he killed his career because now the conversation is not about his talent but about his sexual preference. He's done. You're forcing people to deal with issues they may not be interested in. Life is unfair, and the masses don't all live in L.A. They live in Wisconsin and Nebraska, and you're on crack if you think the same rules apply there. My advice is still the same, shut the f*** up, just sing and let people say whatever they want. But I do wish him the best because he's got all the talent in the world. If only the world was not homophobic, but it is. I would be the first one to vote for equal rights for gay women and men, and get the church and the state to stop telling everybody how to lead their lives, but do I think he's killed his career? Oh, in an instant. I hope I'm completely wrong. I hope he becomes the next Beatles and proves me wrong."

I'm guessing the internet junkie is John Mayer. He blogs and didn't it leak out that he was always on the net rather than with Anniston, making her mad. He also swings both ways, so slash fiction fits.

Austin writes. It would be so cool if he did slash. Love that thought, but agree with whoever said gay males probably prefer video porn. Men are visual. There are a few guys writing BBM slash but I am guessing 98% are female. You can tell the difference right away. Romance heavy if female, graphic sex when male. Slow build up and delayed consumation if female, quick sex if male. Both have their charms.

Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhall are Brothers said...

The last time Tobey Maguire was in an acting movie was Seabiscuit -- and that wasn't so much an actor's film as well. Likewise, I also dont remember a good Jake Gyllenhaal film (apart from Brokeback Mountain). So you can say I'm delightedly surprised that his next film shows off how talented people think of him.

The film centers on a soldier's wife played Natalie Portman coping with her husbands passing (Maguire) and falling in love for his brother (Gyllenhaal). You have strong personalities in the roles... and I think you got yourself a worthy movie.

Nonetheless, it's another thing to say Spiderman and Prince of Persia fans are gonna root for this movie considering how drama has failed to attract viewers the same way as fiction movies have. But acting-wise, this one's a likely tear-jerker.

H'WOOD HAS AGE OBSESSION

CARLA Gugino isn't thrilled about the way Hollywood treats its aging actresses. She tells Moves magazine, "It is bizarre, certainly in Hollywood, when you hit 23 [and] people start to ask you, 'How does it feel to get older?' It is absolutely surreal because, as a woman, when you hit your 30s it's just the beginning of owning yourself and being in your own body." She said a friend of hers was told by a dermatologist, "Your face is very expressive -- let me know if you want me to do something about that." Gugino said, "I mean, wait a minute -- isn't an expressive face a good thing?"

Heath Ledger family's pain revived by Michael Jackson's death said...

THE death of Michael Jackson has opened some old wounds for the family of Heath Ledger, especially his father Kim, who has admitted there is no one else to blame for his son's death than the actor himself.

Just days after his friends and colleagues came forward in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine to claim a combination of prescription medication, insomnia and the split with Michelle Williams caused the Dark Knight star to "snap", Ledger's Perth-based dad has revealed Jackson's drug-related death has hit too close to home.

Still grieving for his son every day, Kim said the similarities between Heath and Jackson's death had left his family reeling.

"On the day Michael died I spoke to my daughters and former wife Sally and we all had such a down day," he told Woman's Day, which is out today.

"At the end of the day we're all responsible for what goes into us and I blame Heath for not being responsible."

It is the first time he has spoken so bluntly about his son's passing, and is a strong contrast to the emotive acceptance speech he gave at last year's Oscars, where he accepted the award for Best Supporting Actor on behalf of Heath.

While the publicity-hating star combined drugs from a trio of doctors across three different countries, it has been claimed that Jackson had up to eight prescription and narcotic-based drugs in his system at the time of his death on June 25.

It seems Bond babe Gemma Arterton has managed to bag a 007 of her own. Her mystery fella is an Italian known only as Stefano and was Daniel Craig’s body double in Quantum Of Solace.

The couple met on the set of the movie and are said to have been attracted to each other immediately. Last month we revealed that the 23-year-old beauty had accepted her man’s proposal at the Download Festival.

And now it seems the couple are going public as they celebrated their engagement with a night out with friends and family at a London restaurant. The happy pair were snapped leaving the same eatery, although were careful not to be pictured together.

Gemma showed off her sparkling diamond engagement ring and had a big smile to match.

November 13, 2008

Several celebrities will be cutting short their snow-frolicking at the Sundance Film Festival to watch the swearing in of President-Elect Barack Obama, while others will simply descend from their thrones on Olympus for a few hours of patriotic revelry. Exactly which 30 Rock actress is expected to be in the VIP section when Barack Obama swears on the Bible on Jan. 20, 2009? Well…

Not Tina Fey, sorry. At least, she isn’t confirmed yet. But Jane Krakowski sure is, along with Anne Hathaway, Maggie Gyllenhaal, her man Peter Sarsgaard, Spike Lee, Kerry Washington, Josh Lucas and a whole bunch of others.

The stars are being rounded up by the Creative Coalition, an organization created to bring Hollywood together with political and social causes. And just in case you were wondering, these particular stars aren’t just bandwagon fans who clamored for tickets once Obama won.

“Anne, Josh, Susan [Sarandon] and Spike were all with us at the Democratic National Convention as well,” a publicity rep for the Creative Coalition told me. “Maggie and Peter are a recent addition to the group who joined us at our pre-Hofstra debates event on Long Island.

That wasn't a WH visit, that was an invitation to the swearing in ceremony in the VIP section. I doubt that any of those stars went back to the WH after that.

I read the VF article and thought it was a tacky way to promote the movie. It was really an article about the movie and the director and Heath was used as a marketing tool (and, didn't they spend a lot of time saying how he hated that).

A few Heath things. (I'm not anti-Heath so don't get too upset.)

1. It sounded like he hated all the promotion and marketing, especially for the awards. But, they way they said it was hard for him to see someone else win over and over again made me feel like he cared more than he wanted to.

2. Heath (like Jake) grew up wealthy and seemed to not to want for things (except a father figure). He seemed to able to get things at will. He also seemed to be very smart and picked up skills and people easily. That's wonderful, but I think it could also be a downfall (sadly, it lead to his death).

A. He and Michelle did have one thing in common. They both left home young to start a career and life. That's a big thing. I have a feeling Michelle was the first woman who ever said, no, you can't do that. I bet his other girlfriends thought he was so sweet and cute that he got away with a lot. Michelle probably was like that at the beginning, but after Matilda (born around the promotion-where it was said the problems started). I don't think it is wrong for a new mother to demand things from her partner. Heath may have been willing, but he wouldn't like to be told.

B. I think because he was skilled, smart and given things (he also worked), he also got bored easily. Sleeping issues and boredom can cause a lot of problems. I sometimes wonder if he was manic/depressive, it would explain a lot.

C. I think it was interesting that they mentioned his need for a father figure. Says a lot about his realtionship with his own. I think Gilliam was stroking his own ego, but I bet he was somewhat truthful.

I think poor Heath was sick, heartbroken, tired and unlucky. I think he thought he could handle everything and he couldn't and his body gave out. It is sad. The worst is for his child. You never recover from losing a parent. Never. I hope that the people that love her make her childhood the best it can be now. Writing articles about how her parents fought about her isn't a good thing. No one would claim her parents didn't love her, so stop the he said, she said.

Okay, thought too much about this and now back to Jake.

I hope the movie is good, but i really can't stand Portman. Overrated. Met her once (for a few hours), she is a cool customer. Tough cookie, nothing sweet about her. Mr. Seabiscut seemed to deepen his voice so that may help. I think if Jake pulls this off it will be good for him. It's a small film, but he could get some respect for it.

I remember different people mentioning Heath and his discomfort about movie promotion and marketing, long before Brokeback Mountain (Spiderman offer, A Knight's Tale).

I believe Heath hated that part of the job, so "it was hard for him to see someone else win over and over again" doesn't make sense.

Passion, freedom and Pride . . . I love gay films said...

by Ken Russell

Like many people, I was born gay. Since I never heard the word at home and led an intensely preoccupied life of the imagination, I was unable to know it. It manifested primarily in an attachment to my little toy diver and a desire to be a dancing sailor. But by the time I was 8 or 9 my fears of monsters, my fascination with abstract art and women — and my squeamishness towards intimacy — had turned me straight.

However, my artistic engagement with the world of psyche and libido would be on the same frontier as the gay movement — knocking down taboos against creative passion, celebrating ingenuity and portraying romantic transgressions. I was somewhat excluded by a naive and apolitical agenda that, to my surprise, registered to the public as alternately respectful and disrespectful of all relationships. What I had was a firm grip on the imagery of emotions and a knack for putting my foot in it. This would not get me far in the world of sex, but it was great for film-making.

Now with the expanding code of what constitutes “proper” behaviour, I can indulge my fondness for freedom and my solidarity with the outsider by seeing gay films. I can see attractive and talented people of both sexes in sometimes good, sometimes inspirational and sometimes mediocre films. The sense of risk-taking in the gay community is very developed, so the scripts are often wildly imaginative, unique and interesting. And it’s good to participate in the sense of permission and inclusion that permeates a gay film festival — the gay world is a markedly tolerant one. Being among gays, lesbians and trannies can appeal to certain straights such as me, just as staying out after curfew might — it’s delirious relief and a chance to observe human nature in bold relief.

Which is why I invite you to attend the Pout Film Festival of “queer cinema” at the ICA and Curzon Soho cinemas during London Pride Week, until Monday. Classic historical documentaries such as Before Stonewall and The Celluloid Closet, which examines the subtext of more than 100 Hollywood images, take their controversial place beside British cult classics such as The Killing of Sister George , as dramatic and camp with time’s passage as Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Dream Boy stars young Max Roeg, the son of my old pals Nic Roeg and Teresa Russell. Greek Pete is a docudrama about London rent boys. Hustler White, about the “seedy and needy” of LA, is an old-fashioned love story about a country singer, a masochist, a dominatrix and an amputee fetishist. There’s the German Summerstorm, the French wartime drama A Love to Hide, the Cannes sensation Tropical Malady from Thailand and the Oscar- winning documentary The Times of Harvey Milk, on whose facts the recent Sean Penn film was based.

Passion, freedom and Pride . . . I love gay films said...

As a tribute to the Pout Festival, I put on my own mini DVD festival of “queer” films (men, women, transsexuals and transvestites). A random selection, but isn’t it accepted wisdom that film preference is not a lifestyle choice, but in the DNA?

To Die For (or Heaven’s a Drag) — utter trash, but a British cult classic. A man haunts his male lover by interrupting any new affairs. Lots of bitching but a good comic premise.

Longtime Companion — a classic by Craig Lucas, moving, powerful and as good as film-making gets; it won Bruce Davison an Oscar nomination and puts a discerning and human face on the Aids tragedy.

Chuck and Buck — this tale of the divergent life paths of boyhood friends is full of surprises. It starts off with some unpleasant stalking behaviour, but holds the attention with fantastic performances and writing. Buck’s play-within-a-movie is sublime comedy.

Almost Normal — gay professor gets transported back in time to his youthful high-school self, except that it’s an alternate reality where everyone is gay — his mum, dad, the teens and teachers, except for a few deviants derided as “breeders” and “hole-punchers”. Our young gay hero captures the teen athlete of his dreams but finds himself unexpectedly sexually attracted to a woman. The plot twists keep coming.

After Stonewall — an eloquent documentary, the sequel to Before Stonewall, showing at Pout. It clarifies the transformations in the gay pride movement in the decades since the 1969 riots in Greenwich Village that began it all.

The Lost Language of Cranes — moving, flawless, painful portrait of a marriage in breakdown and a son’s coming out. Exquisite writing. The brilliant actors Brian Cox and Eileen Atkins shine. The director John Schlesinger makes a distinguished cameo.

Flawless — Robert DeNiro and Philip Seymour Hoffman in an inspiring, well-acted tragicomic tale about a homophobic ex-cop forced by a stroke to accept therapeutic singing lessons from his outrageous drag-queen neighbour.

How are gays portrayed in cinema? I’ve seen an ocean of lisping and limp wrists between the early Boys in the Band and the stoic studs of Brokeback Mountain. There have been knife-wielding lesbian killers such as Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct and sensitive young men in need of a “cure”, as in Tea and Sympathy. There have been compassionate, transcendent portrayals in great movies such as Midnight Cowboy and Boys Don’t Cry. There have been exquisite comic turns, as in Torch Song Trilogy and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

My favourite “gay-friendly” films will always be my own, of course: The Music Lovers, Women in Love, The Rainbow. It’s a heart thing. Love — it’s so gay.

Five actors who could be the new Superman said...

News website Omelete recently caught up with Superman Returns star Brandon Routh on the set of Scott Pilgrim Versus The World to talk about a possible sequel to Bryan Singer’s comic book flop. The one-time Kryptonian, however, was less than sure about whether or not he would be filling the red boots again. In the interview Routh stated, “I do not know of anything. I am sure that Warner Brothers is moving there, but everything is uncertain. Really, I do not know anything. The term contract has expired. But if they call me, I would suit up without thinking twice about it.”

In light of this we’ve decided to get our thinking caps on and decide who could don the cape for the inevitable sequel. Here are our totally irrelevant, based-on-nothing-at-all, semi-serious picks at who should takeover from Routh:

Zachary Quinto
Sssss. That’s the noise you hear when you touch Mr Quinto’s skin. After playing Sylar in Heroes and a certain Vulcan in Star Trek this guy is hot property and as a result has the stature to bear the burden of the ‘S’. Crucially, there’s a touch of the lonely outsider about him as well, which is something Brandon Routh carried off well in Superman Returns. He’s relatively tall too. In fact, the more we think about this, the more we like it.

Tom Welling
By the time the sequel rolls around Smallville might be ready to make the jump to the big screen, bringing Tom Welling with it. Let’s be clear, though: Welling is about as talented an actor as trees are talkative. Seeing him in the costume would go down poorly with more than a few fans.

Sam Worthington
He didn’t exactly shine in Terminator Salvation but he certainly had presence – an increasingly rare quality on Hollywood casting couches and an important one for potential Supermen. If he worked on the accent, dyed his hair black and chucked some contacts in, this could really work (although as we’ve already cast him as Captain America for the upcoming movie, which will almost certainly come true, he could be in danger of being typecast).

Jim Caviezel
Few actors do wide-eyed innocence quite like Jim Cavaziel and after playing another saviour of mankind in Mel Gibson’s The Passion Of The Christ he has the experience too. Plus, he was dead cool in the cruelly overlooked The Count Of Monte Cristo so we’d like to see him get another shot at the A-list. Much will ride on the success of the upcoming Prisoner remake.

Christopher Reeve
It might be a bit soon for this in terms of the technology required but there is little question that Mr Reeve had the look of the Last Son Of Krypton nailed, so a computer-generated version of him would at the very least tick one of the more important boxes. (Insulting emails to the usual address).

JAKE GYL BANGS DEAD BROTHER’S WIFE said...

Brothers is a Jim Sheridan-directed remake of the 2004 Danish film Brødre. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a hot dude whose brother Tobey Maguire is presumed dead after a tour in Afghanistan. He comforts his dead brother’s wife, Natalie Portman, first with kind words but later with his penis and washboard abs. And that’s when Tobey Maguire shows up - he wasn’t dead after all! Drama! It opens December 4th, and Spike Lee is going to be rightly pissed when he finds out they made a movie called Brothers without a single black dude in it. And it’s got Tobey Maguire instead, which is just adding insult to injury. Tobey Maguire is to being white as Djimon Hounsou is to being black.

Heath Ledger's cousin Luke Ledger entering acting industry said...

WHEN it comes to acting and you hear the Ledger name, you immediately think of Heath, but another young Ledger the late actor's cousin is trying to make a name for himself in the industry.

Luke Ledger, 16, was in Melbourne this week filming as an extra on Neighbours, a role he won through a competition in Dolly magazine.

The young actor from Perth will not talk directly about his relationship with Heath, but does understand his surname will attract attention. "It's just a name," Ledger said. "We all are who we are, if that makes any sense. "I think you've just got to run with it and be proud of it."

Ledger did acknowledge that he looked up to his cousin as an actor when it came to the craft. "Yeah, he was a great role model. But no more so than many other actors," he said. "I was watching Blackhawk Down the other week and I was really inspired by Eric Bana. "I'm inspired by a lot of other Australian actors. I think this country has unique talent."

Ledger, who at 16 seems natural and accomplished, is finishing his final year of school in Perth and hopes to move into acting or film and television production, including directing.

Like his older cousin, whose first major role was on Home and Away, Ledger would not say no to a soap offer. He just wants to work in the field. "If something pops up I would take it and run with it," he said. "I would be absolutely stoked if I was to get a role. I love performing in front of a live audience as well.

"It's a great rush and a great feeling. I think the best thing about acting is that you're learning more about other people, you have to dig deep."

Adam Lambert, Kris Allen Hit the Stage Again as American Idols Live Tour Kicks Off in Portland said...

Goth kids, soccer moms and diehard Idol junkies — including one superfan with Clay Aiken’s autograph tattooed on her shoulder — packed Portland, Oregon’s Rose Garden last night for the inaugural performance of American Idol’s summer tour.

The two biggest stars of the show — winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert — embraced what endeared them to millions of fans throughout Season Eight. “Glambert” was out in full force, with tight pants, his otherworldly wail and a tribute to the original rock androgyne, David Bowie. Wrapped in a plaid shirt and a pair of jeans, Allen kept it simple and real, embracing the stripped-down soul sound that elevated him from dark horse to worthy champion.

...
In true Robert Plant style, Lambert made his arrival known, punctuating his three-octave howl on “Whole Lotta Love” with pelvic
thrusts and microphone straddling. Dressed to the rock-god nines in ripped and studded leather and denim, Lambert switched gears from hot to cool, soaring on Muse’s “Starlight” against a moody backdrop of twinkling lights. In an intimate and memorable moment, the gifted goth took a seat for the haunting “Mad World,” showing off his crystalline falsetto as smoke rose around him. After reprising “Slow Ride,” his energetic duet with “little sister” Iraheta, Lambert closed his set with a medley of David Bowie songs — including an ethereal “Life on Mars,” backed by a glowing graphic of the red planet — then sunk down into the stage, all too soon, to the loudest cheers of the night.

Whats the tagline? “Hoes before Bros”?

It’s a love scatterplot. Tobey Maguire wants to bang Natalie Portman, Natalie Portman wants to bang Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jake Gyllenhaal wants to bang guys.

In this movie, Natalie Portman’s philosophy is “Mo’s before G.I. Joes”

This movie has a strict don’t ask, don’t tell policy.

I’m all for suspending reality for the sake of enjoying a movie, but “Jake Gyllenhaal as a hot dude”? Come ON.

It’d be more believable if it were Jake Gyllenhaal fucking his wife’s brother.

If we have to be honest, Jake doesn't play "hot dude" in his movies

DONNIE DARKO: an odd boy more than a hottie

HIGHWAY: again an odd dude and with a sexual confussion problem

THE GOOD GIRL: odd isn't enough to describe him on this one. His appeal was more about being young, but looking at Aniston's
husband in the movie I think she would have bang any guy

BROKEBACK: I know everybody fell for Jack Twist but his character wasn't exactly the "hot man who can have anyone he wants" in fact, he was kind of a loser in some aspects of his life

ZODIAC: Neither of the male characters were thinked as hot guys

TDAT and BUBBLE B.: Not hot at all.

Maybe in PROOF he had to put up with some sexy poses but, at the end, he never really plays hottie

My run in with a closeted gay actor.

Recently I ran into a closeted gay actor and took him home to fuck him. While fucking him senseless, he revealed the most interesting things, of which I will reveal only one of those things, and that is, that he is not gay.

With my cock deeply implanted in his ass, I asked him to go on. He said that he doesn't do gay things, has no interest in ever pursuing anything gay, and most importantly, that he was a very popular jock in high school, and that his favorite thing to watch on TV is ESPN. Oh, and he has a "girlfriend".

Now, I will admit he wouldn't trigger anyone's gaydar right away, but he has an insatiable appetite for men and he wants to get together again.

I responded...only if you bring your gf along this time, to which he replied, that she's not really into guys and would not be interested.

He also implied that more actors and models than not, are totally into guys...never using the "gay" word.

I translate that to mean there is absolutely NO reason for actors to come out. They've got all the cock they could ever want at their disposal and as long as they don't identify as gay, and keep up some sort of heterosexual front, they are not gay in their own twisted little minds.

Anonymous said...

If true, that is just pathetic.

If true, that is very convenient.

Crowds may be wise, but they're not necessarily savvy. Witness this online poll, where the first 2,500 respondents have deemed Mario Lopez flamingly gay, while Kevin Spacey and Vin Diesel get loads of votes as straight.

Lopez might act in a Broadway musical and take off his shirt a lot, but that doesn't make him gay. At least they got Zachary Quinto, who doesn't keep his personal life much of a secret, correct. How about a do-over with just the people who got Spacey right? Or you can just have at it in the comments.

Considering the way they fought Summit for the chance to be together, it's obviously about more than sex with these two.

Never said it was only about sex with Robsten. Just that people forget they are young, superhorny people. It's not going to be a boring Gyllenspoon-type courtship. Isn't that why we love them, and love them together? The fiery relationships are always the best.

Dear Ted:

I'm not in love with R.Pattz or anything like that, I just think people want them to be a couple for all the wrong reasons. People are confusing real life and fantasy. Longtime Mass. Senator Comes Out Gay said...

In a move being called “courageous,” Massachusetts State Senator Stanley C. Rosenberg has come out gay.

In a guest column about liberty published in the July 4 edition of the Daily Hampshire Gazette, Rosenberg described himself as a gay man, MassLive.com reported. “I rarely discuss these facets of my character because I don't practice identity politics. I practice policy politics,” Rosenberg wrote in a column titled The Bay State's Road To Equality. “Five years ago, Massachusetts stood alone as the birthplace of marriage equality in America. Today, five states have joined us in providing full marriage equality.”

“I am proud to have been a member of the Legislature that helped start this national movement, not just because it marks the beginning of the eventual end to another form of injustice, but because it marks what I consider to be another milestone on our road to freedom – the eventual end to identity politics. As a foster child who grew up as a ward of the state, as a gay man, as a Jew, I understand what it's like to be cast as 'the other'.”

John S. Baick, a history professor at Western New England College, told the paper that while out politicians risk political retribution from conservatives, making such statements shows “personal and political courage.”

Rosenberg, the president pro tempore of the Senate, was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 1986. During the state's 2004 fight for gay marriage, he backed granting gay and lesbian couples the right to marry. The senator has declined questions on the issue.

I’m not saying this because I want him to or anything like that.

I understand the fact that when you lose someone close to you, it’s not something to be taken lightly, and the press is truly cruel for trying to force celebrities to talk about things as deep as that publicly. Heath Ledger was an inspiration to me and I didn’t even know him, so I can’t imagine how much his family and close friends must be hurting.

I was simply wondering if Jake has made a statement or not. Either way, I respect him in his mourning. But I’m curious: Has he said anything?

is Ted saying the 2 real-life gay couples are so domesticated, and possibly so worn out from doing all the bearding and raising young'uns that not only are they boring but they're ultra-tired?

Ted said: "Dear Double Date: They'd all probably go get coffee and fall asleep in the middle of ordering."

Ted is talking about two boring and bored fauxmance couples.

Why Christian Bale needs an ass-kicking said...

With Christian Bale pissing and moaning, it reminds me of all these actors who have sweet gigs and complain about them...this is my response.

I dunno if any of you remember a little bitch named Tobey Maguire, who looked kinda like a girl and cried a lot in his movies? Yeah, he gets the break of a lifetime and headlines "Spiderman" in '02 which essentially puts him on the mainstream map AND I'm sure lines his wallet with some cabbage. Then, number two comes around and suddenly, his ovaries begin to hurt...oh wait, I mean his "back" begins to hurt. Either way, he starts acting like a punk about doing a sequel and suddenly, Sony says "Screw you, we'll get Jake Gyllenhaal to take your place because you guys look alike AND...he's not a bitch!" That brings little Tobey around in a hurry tho, doesn't it?

Then you've got Christian Bale...honestly, I wanted to defend this guy for a while, but lets face it boys and girls, the guy is a pompous asshole. He just is. There's no two ways about it. Put it to you like this: If I chewed someone out at MY job like he did to that poor camera guy...I'd be fired...AND whoever I chewed out would sock me in the kisser. Can't do that to Bitch-Boy Bale though, can you? See, this is what I don't like about him: He acts like it's some kind of CHORE to play Batman. He acts like it's an inconvenience. Though, he really only had a shitty Indy film career prior, right? And it's not like he wants to go back to his little Indy roots, cause he opted to start another franchise (which failed, possibly because everyone heard Bitch-Bale's bitchboy rant). I think I heard he demanded his role to be expanded too, cause Christian Bitchboy Bale won't give up the starlight he's a "professional". I do admit, I could be wrong about that last one, but he's still a bitch.
