More than likely he\'ll be presenting because he has a movie to promote - Brothers. the golden globes aren\'t like the Academy Awards - the presenters at the GGs are presenting because they have something to promote and not because they won in that category the year before.

They are a reality and are part of the flow of life, with feet on the ground. Taking Someone to a formal event, right by your side, like anywhere, means a lot more than a few pics at a coffee shop or on vacation spots. They're telling the world they definitely are a couple. ^^ I may be he only one on this board who feels this way but here it goes. Friends who saw TDK and myself were not impressed with that movie. IMO the movie was more Hype than anything. Now I'm a Heath fan and loved him in his roles since Monsters Ball, so don't start the Heath hate thing. I also went to see Heath in BBM, but became a Jake fan too, or MORE! The same friends and myself discussed the movie after watching it this past summer and we all thought that not only did this batman movie not match up to Batman Begins, but we also thought Heath had done better in other roles. I know Heath was good and out of charactor , I also though Aaron Echart was good too. IMO Heath's best performances were in BBM and Candy. I was very impressed with he and Abbie in this movie. He was very good in Brothers Grimm although the movie was so so.

Yes, absolutely. You know that they haven't said anything directly about being together - she's sort of started to, although the word supportive sounds more like a good friend, and he's said nothing.
I can't help it, the Joker mesmerized me as well. He took an iconic, comic book character, a very sinister character, and put his own personal stamp on it. He made him frightening instead of comic. He made him drop-dead sexy instead of silly. When he yells "Look at me!" it's terrifying. I will never, ever be able to see any other actor, before or since, who played the Joker like that. And the way he and Christian Bale interact is incredible. I'm crushed that we won't get to see the two of them interact in other Batman sequels. Heath's Joker is tremendous. He is the Joker for me. When he takes of his mask in the first scenes, he's amazing. :)

Since I've bought the DVD of TDK, there are so many subtleties to Heath's performance - when one of the mobsters asks him if he's crazy - he says with an unblinking stare "no.I.am.not.crazy." And the scenes with Christian - the things Heath does with his voice I found so interesting "These civilized people, they'll eat each other. They'll cast you out, like a leper." I would have loved to see how Heath would have explored this character in sequels.

^^I like it tho - to me it doesn't have any of the qualities you describe - I find it masculine and sexy in a soothing way. His accent almost sounds a little like a Chicago accent to me. I like when he says Red Sox, or a Sox game. I tend to like voices. I loved Heath's too - and it's so different in TDK.

Heath and Jake both said that they became friends. Heath and Jake have both been very good at living most of their life in private. So, I don't get why the idea that they were friends, even very close friends ( as they would chose to define this) would be such an issue, or even threatening for some people.

Alas, someone decided that the lone-wolf Transporter was too open to interpretation, so the new movie gives him a love scene with a hostage played by Natalya Rudakova. It begins with her calling all the shots — she's holding his car keys — but he seems to be at least fairly into it by the time it's over.
It's something of a letdown for gay fans, of course, but we'll always have our first two Transporter DVDs ready for study and reflection. And maybe Gore Vidal could be brought in to bring some Ben-Hur–style subtext to the next sequel?
