A man and a woman have been jailed for abusing a high-profile feminist campaigner over a social media website.
Westminster Magistrates' Court heard the tweets that Isabella Sorley, 23, and John Nimmo, 25, posted to Caroline Criado-Perez on Twitter.
Sentencing Ms Sorley, of Akenside Hill, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to 12 weeks in prison and Mr Nimmo, of South Shields, Tyne and Wear, to eight weeks, Judge Howard Riddle said it was "hard to imagine more extreme threats".
Among the tweets Ms Sorely directed towards campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez was: "die you worthless piece of crap". Tweets posted by Mr Nimmo included: "I will find you :) ".
On 7 January, Mr Nimmo and Ms Sorley pleaded guilty to sending the tweets, admitting they were among the users of 86 separate Twitter accounts from which Ms Criado-Perez had received abusive messages.
The pair bombarded Ms Criado-Perez with the abusive messages on separate Twitter accounts last year after she used social media to lead a successful campaign for a female figure to appear on a Bank of England note.

Exclusive Media has come aboard to handle international rights, and will launch the project to foreign buyers at Berlin’s upcoming European Film Market.
Adams will play Iris, who, emotionally fragile after the loss of her husband, runs a boarding house to get by and provide for her spirited son, Joel. They reside in a small town overrun by religious fervor, and their lives are forever changed when she begins to fall in love with Ezekiel Moss (Gyllenhaal), a mysterious drifter who has the divine ability to channel and physically inhabit the spirits of the dead.

Yesterday we showed you the great poster for Enemy, the second film from the director/actor pair of Denis Villeneuve and Jake Gyllenhall. (They also made Prisoners together.) Now we’ve got the film’s trailer, and it’s a terrific piece of work. Gyllenhaal plays a teacher who finds a man who seems to be his exact double. But tracking him down doesn’t lead to quite the sort of interaction the teacher expects.
The film looks like a small thriller, and a very moody one. Visually, it is oppressive, and feels completely different from Prisoners. This looks like a chance for Gyllenhaal to take some of his Zodiac impulses and push them into new territory. Check out the trailer below.

Based on those few photos of Jake and Putana Miller with Naomi, and with Maggie, I would conclude that they know Putana (or her family?) from before the showmance. I guess they hoped for a win-win situation (beard for Jake, publicity for Putana), but no one gave shit about her or that off looking "couple". And it is obvious that Jake couldn't force himself to spend any time around Putana, not even enough to take her out for a nice dinner or lunch.
