It's all great to see pics. But knowing Reeke are we even sure the pics are from Ojay and the dates are correct? I'll put nothing past these two PR whores.
How many pap pics are there of actors and their kids on 12/25? Give me a break, even Jake and Reese aren't that dumb. I've seen pics of celebs the day before and the after for the most part but not of them on the actual day which one would assume took polace behind closed doors like mortal folk.

Remember, people. Jake's family is disintegrating and his career is in a semi-stall. If he hadn't gotten PoP, he'd be in a world of professional trouble right now.
This showmance exists because there are much bigger problems in Jake's life, and until those problems disappear, the showmance will go on. That's why CAA and Disney need to keep him isolated, frightened, away from the respectable press and on guard all the time. If he has time to think about the rest of his life, what little there is, he'll lose his composure, and there goes the PoP franchise.
The showmance will continue because he has very little else to lean on emotionally or professionally. Since Oct. 2007, Jake has been looking for a port in the storm, and until the storm passes, he's going to cling -desperately - to what is familiar and safe. It might be boring, staggeringly mendacious and require a great deal of support from his right hand (ie. the gay crank-bank when he's alone), but it's familiar and safe.

Hey, hey! I believe that this showmance is bullshit too, but it exists for a reason. It's not just money or homophobic self-loathing. His personal life is also a mess, and his professional situation is still unstable.
And the fact that his parents have been on the edge for years means nothing. Dealing with fighting parents is one thing, but an actual divorce is more traumatic.
If I had my way, I'd crack him upside the head, get his sorry ass on a plane to NY to deal with his family situation face-to-face, and get him a new agent, but that isn't going to happen.
This pathetic showmance is not going to end until the rest of his life stabilizes. He's probably thinking that *anything* is better than the mess he had early this year with Nailed and last year with two films that bombed.
He can convince himself to be 'happy' and upbeat considering the alternative. A pack of stable lies is preferable to complete chaos, especially when there is notone in your immediate life who will leave you if the lies continue.
I don't believe that there is any great gay love in Jake's life, no one who is going to leave him if he stays in the closet. I really think that he just lives day to day, dealing with professional responsibilities and his own private demons.

Couldn't have said it better - I really, really do hope things get better for him, or once PoP is completely done, or whatever it is that is making him feel he has to go through with this. For those of us who have been following him for awhile now, it really is quite obvious that he's not with his family and friends anymore, even Chris, and the Downey get-together seemm like a way to make up for that, as is the faux-family with Reese. Only this time, the kids were with their real Dad, it seems. It's shocking to me that there are those who think it's great that Jake isn't with his own family much anymore, and prefer him to be in the situation he is currently in.

If this is a fauxmance I don't think he needed it. There are gay rumors floating around for years about Keanu Reeves, George Clooney etc., but they never felt the need to beard with an A-Lister who has very young children, to drag them into such a mess. I do think he's unhappy in most of the recent pictures. I think he's not happy with this relationship and disappointed about his parent's emabrassing divorce, making so many things public. Add to that Heath's death and how much he had been working. I don't think he's in a good place.
It would have been nice to see him (or hear about him being) with his old friends, family and his Goddaughter. But it seems it's all about Reese at the moment and maybe he's just too weak to break it up, considering everything what's going on in his life.

I suspect he know that film was going to be bad, and didn't want there to any question that the film bombed because of the rumors. Funny thing lately is I think he has responded a time or two to things that have been said here or elsewhere on the net.
