I did read some of them during BBM release, and I am aware of her praise for Heath. Heath gave an outstanding performance in BBM, but still, Jake's performance (did)it for ME. Not a debate, just commenting on how his character's constant wanting and needing to be free TOUCHED ME. And Jake played it Well I must say.

It's great his performance touched you so much and you wanted to follow Jake ever since you saw the movie. :)

I also felt I was watchin more than acting from Jake.

Hm, me too. ;)

Jake's character resonated with me completely because he played a post-Stonewall gay man tragically trapped in a backwards world. And Jake did this from his imagination.
blah blah blah...
Mr. Ledger, who refused to play Jack because Twist was too gay LOL
took the most daring, courageous part in the most controversial film in a generation, and he deserved an Academy Award. LOL

This statement is hilarious on so many levels.
Jake played Jack from his imagination? Have you read Annie Proulx's story? Jake played Jack as better-looking, more mama's boy, and more upper class than he was written. This is not playing from imagination. This is called playing yourself.
I'm not saying Jake wasn't very fine as Jack, but I would credit Ang Lee with shaping Jake's limited range into something that worked very well against Heath's Ennis. Heath played Ennis as written, and what he did was acting.
Pointless to debate who was better because people here have iron-clad prejudices, so I'll just say they needed each other to shine. But Jake certainly did not deserve an Academy Award, unless it's for being willing to Walk Close to the Brink by playing a Not Gay playing Gay while being Ambiguous. Titillating!
As for Mr Ledger refusing to play Twist because Twist was too gay, that's the funniest thing I've heard in ages. Yeah, Heath knew he could not have carried off all that mincing and lisping Jake had to do in the role.
Get a grip, you Heath hater. Trying to knock Heath and elevate Jake by suggesting Jake's acting is some kind of "post-Stonewall" political creation rather than a character portrayal actually denigrates Jake's acting ability.
I suspect Jake would very much dislike what you had to say.

Will Heath Ledger become the River Phoenix of his generation? Do anyone remember River, he was an awesome actor.

8:52 PM Nice try but we'll talk Heath here as much as we like, with or without your blessing. So quit pretending you care about what Heath deserves when it's crystal clear all you want is for him to no longer be discussed on WFT2. Not gonna happen.

I think Heath deserves to be discussed and talked about where his real fans are ...

Wow! Just watched the Ted vid and he ends the Jake section with the ironic sign-off "Good for you, Jake, you..dude-shafter"! It's a play on words about "shafting dudes" because Jake wants a female PA but it's obvious what it means.
Could Ted get any closer to calling Jake gay?????

I have no respect for anyone who would treat they're fellow actors like that. Texting on your blackberrys while people are trying to give a preformance?!

They both deserved a kick in the butt for this.

And what are those things? "Some of them are run-of-the-mill," explains the source. "He has to take off his shoes when he's in the house; trash must be taken out when the can is 3/4 full, and no feet on the coffee table."

Star magazine crap makes them both look retarded. lol

Ted and Lisa's Excellent Adventure - A day with Jake Gyllenhaal

No doubt many of us remember the ACLU auction last year - well, now we reap the rewards. At the end of April, two special people had the opportunity to spend a day with Jake Gyllenhaal, hairpiece and all, on the set of Nailed in Columbia - Ted and Lisa. Ted had the dubious pleasure of watching Brokeback Mountain next to me in Oxford, and no doubt suffered bruises from being gripped by me through every emotional scene - and this is a movie with a lot of emotional scenes. I'll never forget it. Through him, and all through Jake, I have had the chance to get to know another friend, Lisa.

I was just thrilled this evening when Lisa sent me the photos of herself, Ted and Jake from their day, along with a link to their Excellent Adventure. You have to leave a comment to be befriended and then you can read all 70-odd pages of the encounter. I'm now reading it myself and will be back to discuss - Good job I have the day off tomorrow!

Not true and Jake is probably not gay, maybe bi. The thing with Reese is real.

Real? Then poor Jake has some emotional dependency issues.

Dating a woman who is a control freak, not sexy, older, with 2 kids...shows a desire for a mother figure.

I guess everyone needs a mother figure to turn to in a time of crisis.

And a man or woman who struggles with same-sex attraction may have an even greater need to connect emotionally with an authority figure who offers a refuge from their inner conflict.

Jake might be straight but even that wouldn't make it real. Nothing is real about the PR campaign called Phonyspoon.

Chris Carter film is covert operation

'X-Files' creator quietly working on a dark drama

Chris Carter, the creator of "The X-Files," knows a thing or two about secrets. So it's no surprise that he has managed to keep his latest film project under wraps for so long. Carter is in the midst of directing "Fencewalker," a dark drama starring several up-and-comers, including "The Tudors" star Natalie Dormer; David Cassidy's daughter, Katie Cassidy; rapper-turned-actor Xzibit; and Derek Magyar and Mehcad Brooks.

Neither Carter's reps at ICM nor the actors' reps would confirm that the film is shooting, but the story is essentially a coming-of-age semiautobiographical character piece with no supernatural elements. (After "X-Files," Carter created the similarly spooky series "Millennium," which ran for three seasons on Fox.)

The feature is shooting in the Los Angeles area, including in Carter's hometown of Bellflower.

Carter wrote the script for what is thought to be his passion project some time ago and raised the financing himself. The film has a modest budget and no distributor at this point. Dormer appeared in 2005's "Casanova," while Cassidy was a regular on TV's "Supernatural." Xzibit appears in Carter's upcoming "The X-Files: I Want to Believe," while Magyar is in post on the horror thriller "Train."

The veil of secrecy surrounding "Fencewalker" is not only in keeping with Carter's persona but also reminiscent of the shroud that surrounded J.J. Abrams' "Cloverfield."

Very interesting.

I will mention just one thing: "... he [Jake] always talked about Heath in the present tense, never using the words was or were, always is and are".

Looks like Reese is telling Deacon and Jake what clothes to wear. Both boys have on matching shirts. And, ever notice how whenever there are shots of Reeke lately, Jake never cracks a smile with her, but if he's talking to someone else or walking away by himself he smiles? Must be the relief of having someone take away the Chin's attention from him.

Agreed. Look at pictures of Heath, this combo seemed to be his favourite style.

Well at least now the babblers won't be able to claim that they were never friends - Jake said “He is one of my best friends...”; “We are very close...“.

Regarding the issue of being Matilda's godfather or not - "(guy's name) said to Jake, “and aren’t you her Godfather?” Jake responded in the affirmative".

Isn't it a well known fact he is her godfather anyway? He confirmed it officially a few years ago.

I still think he isn't seeing her too much because he's busy with his new "family".

Just putting it out there, could this be damage control on Jake's part after the anger at Jake's silence after Heath's death? Be all nice about Heath to some blogger so it will get reported in his LJ? Would n't be the least surprised....

10:11 no.1 But the babblers and the apologists keep claiming that they weren't friends ever, only simple co-stars and Jake was just Matilda's celebrity godfather at best so why should he say anything if Sienna Miller and Matt Damon didn't?

Now Jake, whether honest or not, said they are best friends and very close and he is M's godfather. That's my point, people won't be able to make the same excuses for him because these things are from the horse's mouth.

Blinded By the Slight

Since Tobey Maguire has been such a queenly douche butt, we're foregoing the standard Monday ayem Pissed List and devoting a whole capsulized version to Spidey himself. Here's why: T.M. got quite pissy himself last week while leaving Madeo in WeHo. Seems the pap's flashes were meddling with the diminutive dude's action-hero powers as he was leaving the restaurant, so he therefore dropped ef bombs left ‘n' right while yelling quite aggressively to his archenemies. Such duplicitous behavior. First off, if you choose to be famous, just get friggin' used to being followed by cameras. Or at least take some meditation classes so we don't have to hear your bitching. And secondly, don't go to stalkarazzi hangs if you don't feel like being captured. Sheesh.

I know it's weird but they really are slash fans, you should see how they bitch that usually Heath tops and Jake bottoms in stories. That really gets their dander up, it's downright hilarious.

Regarding the new pictures of them in the park on IHJ, I would be very uncomfortable with a man I was dating picking up my daughter the way Jake is doing to Ava. It's inappropriate. Sorry but that is not the way you handle a prepubescent child that does not belong to you.

Anonymous said...

Hm... Is it OK when the man is gay?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

It's perfectly innocent. You should be ashamed of yourself for implying otherwise, simply because of hatefulness.

Anonymous said...

I don't think little girls should be manhandled by their mother's boyfriends. I would not allow it. I think it's a personal space issue and Jake is certainly not a pedo but it's inappropriate. I don't hate Jake at all but Ava is not three or four and there are differences when you are dealing with an opposite sex child who is nine. Jake doesn't have kids and he may not be attuned to things like that.

Anonymous said...

So glad that Brokeback is #39 in this great list of films.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, #31.

I'd hardly call it manhandling. Lots of dads and stepdads pick up their daughters and stepdaughters, let them ride on their shoulders. You are suggesting that he can never go near her because she's female, and only Deacon? I thought she was only eight. There's an argument for what you are saying either way, and it's an evil implication. Just because someone is male doesn't mean they have bad intentions toward a child, and innocent affection should be encouraged - Dads have been left out of parenting for far too long. If he wasn't close to the family, I might agree with you, but it appears now that he has become so.

Anonymous said...

Just let it go guys. Ava didn't seem uncomfortable and Reese always makes a sour face it's not because Jake is picking up Ava.

'I never thought I would stand up for the cause'

Handsome, charming and openly gay, actor and presenter John Barrowman has become one of the best-loved faces on British television. But, as he explains to Alice Wignall, success has brought unexpected responsibilities

John Barrowman thinks that I fancy him. I'm not sure why - I said something complimentary about the male characters in Doctor Who, the series in which he makes occasional scene-stealing appearances as Captain Jack Harkness, and he appropriated it for himself, because he's gorgeous and used to people fancying him. Now we're talking about the fluid nature of sexuality and attraction. "You could find Captain Jack attractive. Hey, you could find John attractive," he says, twinkling away at me like a rope of promenade lights on a gusty night, "and I could find you attractive. But that doesn't mean that anything's going to happen." I am suddenly hotly aware of the close confines of the dressing room buried beneath the BBC's Television Centre in which we are cocooned. "Right?" he says.

Too right - not least because of the new BBC1 show he's here to talk about. The Making of Me asked three celebrities to use scientific testing, psychology, brain science and genetics to investigate the origins of their defining characteristics, each in their own show. Vanessa Mae asks why she is musical, Colin Jackson wonders why he is fast, and Barrowman finds out why he is gay: a fact which I think is going to stand in the way of our blossoming mutual attraction. The results of the programme - is it nature, is it nurture? - are a closely guarded secret, though Barrowman has always been convinced that sexuality is not a choice. "I've always known who I am," he says. "That's what I believe. I feel I was born this way. I've never questioned that."

Until now, of course, and the issues that the programme addresses do raise one potentially uncomfortable point: if the conclusion is that homosexuality is a choice, learned behaviour or the result of a particular experience at a certain time, does that mean that gay people can choose again, or unlearn their preferences? Could he? "It's not going to change who I am," he replies, instantly. "I always said, if the outcome is you're born this way, I'm going to be ecstatic. If the outcome is that it's something that happens to you, a trauma or it's your choice, I will have to reflect and think about that, but it's not going to change who I am because I like who I am." If it is a choice, it's a choice he'd make again.

And why wouldn't he? As he tells it, Barrowman's experience of life as a gay man has been overwhelmingly positive. At 41, he has a supportive and devoted family, a 15-year relationship with his partner, Scott Gill, and a successful career (before starring in Doctor Who and its spin-off series, Torchwood, and graduating from there to appearances as a judge on the find-me-a-star reality shows Any Dream Will Do, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? and I'd Do Anything, he enjoyed a long and happy period as a leading man in the West End, mainly in musical theatre).

He mentions interviewing a Seventh Day Adventist "ex-gay" man while filming The Making Of Me, who believed that homosexuality was incompatible with a fulfilling life. "His idea was that you had to have the white picket fence and the farm and he was talking about it like it was something that I could never have," says Barrowman. "And I actually said to him, 'Yeah, but Ron, I have a partner, I have a dog, I have really nice cars, I have a beautiful home, I have a home by the sea and the beach. You can have that and be gay.' But he just couldn't see that."

Barrowman can see it. He and Gill are thinking about having children. "We're building a house in Cardiff on the beach. We're going to have six bedrooms in it and we feel like we've got a lot to offer." He says that from talking to different families for the show - both accepting of homosexuality and not - he learned that "a family unit is what you make a family unit".

Almost the first thing Barrowman does when he starts talking about the programme is insist that he's not a campaigner. "I never thought I would be like this," he says. "I never thought I'd be someone who would stand up for 'the cause'. I don't want to be a militant gay, because that's not me." But it's clear that he is naturally possessed of strong opinions. Since he and Gill became civil partners in 2006, Barrowman has always been adamant that it's not a "marriage". "I don't call it 'marriage' for my own reasons - and I would suggest to gay men and women that they don't call it a marriage, because it connotes religious organisations that don't like them, and why do we want to take that on board?"

But the recent escalation of his fame has put him in a position where he senses an obligation to do more. "I have to put it this way," he says. "There are some days that I sign, like, 400 pictures, autographs and stuff. And among those I generally get a bunch of, say, four, five emails and some written letters from young men and women who are struggling to come out of the closet and they don't know who to turn to because they're afraid of their family's reaction and they're afraid of their community's reaction. So when they approached me to do this [The Making of Me], I thought, 'Yeah, you know, I really kinda have to do it.' I do think I've got a responsibility to help change perceived attitudes or try to change them."

It's all a bit at odds with Barrowman's popular image, which starts with his showman's grin, an expert line in saucy banter and a reported fondness for showing everyone (especially co-stars who are trying to film a scene) his penis. His autobiography - Anything Goes, of course - tells stories of a carefree life in the limelight, hanging out with Claudia Schiffer on Valentino's yacht and having affairs with Spanish flamenco dancers called Paco. It's not that Showbiz John is a character that Barrowman plays for the public. Though he's clearly a born performer, there's no hint of concealed anguish beneath. It seems that he really is this upbeat, this positive, this happy, all the time. In TV appearances, he throws himself into the job with force: always eager to get the joke, make the joke, be the joke. It looks like uncontainable exuberance; sometimes it looks like he is having so much fun he may burst.

There is, actually, something slightly comic about Barrowman. He's so absurdly good looking, for one thing, and in such an obvious way: the teeth, the hair, the wide cheekbones and the blue, blue eyes. His American accent is almost too reassuringly warm (though he is able to segue into a broad Scottish brogue in seconds, a legacy of the first nine years of his childhood spent in Glasgow before moving with his family to Illinois, which is incredibly disconcerting; like being dragged across the Atlantic by your ears. He says both accents are his "natural" one) and his speech is peppered with phrases that, looking back, seem like fortune-cookie clichés: "I don't ask that you like me. I just ask that you respect me," is a favourite.

But at the time, and on him, it all works, because it's so patently sincere. He is just instinctively polite - waiting for me to turn over the tape in my Dictaphone before continuing a point, which hardly anyone ever does - and conscientious, diligently checking his notes from the programme to make sure he's getting it right. He is thoughtful and articulate, talking in long, seamless sentences, with passion and certainty. He might employ a hackneyed phrase every now and again, but it's because he believes them. And he has a natural solidity. You can see why he works on stage: he's tall and broad and booming; he's sure of what he's saying, and of himself.

In that, he's similar to his Doctor Who/Torchwood character, Captain Jack, who first appeared as a wayward interplanetary scoundrel who found friendship and redemption in the company of the timelord. On the one hand, he's cookie-cutter, old-school hero, all jutting jaw and big guns. On the other, he's a cheeky pan-sexual adventurer ("so many species, so little time") who landed a kiss on Christopher Eccleston's Doctor in the concluding storyline of the first series.

But - and this seems to be very Barrowman, too - Jack feels no tension or conflict about who he is. He lives in the confident expectation that the universe will order itself around him. Which it does. Captain Jack is one the best-loved of the returning characters - Torchwood was created pretty much to keep him on our screens - and his unapologetic eye for the gents as much as the ladies seems only to add to his appeal.

"I was doing a signing at a convention," Barrowman says, "and this father brought his son over and he said, 'Do you want Captain Jack's autograph?' and the kid said, 'Yeah, Dad, I don't care if he likes boys, he's still my hero.' And I thought, 'That's why I'm doing this.'

"I'd love to be a hero and that's why I love playing him, because he is a hero. But then, funnily enough, people have written to me and said I am their 'hero'" - he says the word with self-deprecating verbal air quotes - "because of standing up for what I believe in".

John Barrowman - The Making of Me is on BBC1, July 24

Gay sex scandal politician dropped from McCain website

Alabama Attorney General Troy King found himself in the midst of a gay sex scandal last week after reports began to circulate that he was busted having sex with a male assistant by his wife, Paige King, in the couple’s own bed.

Now to add fuel to the fire, King, the chairman of John McCain’s Alabama Leadership Team, has been removed from the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee's website. Last week, reports began hitting the news wires that Troy King, a conservative Christian Republican who has called homosexuality the "downfall of society," may be on the way to resigning his post as Alabama Attorney General over a gay sex scandal.

After being caught having sex with his male aide by his wife, Troy King was reportedly banished from his home in Montgomery by his infuriated spouse, according to PerezHilton.com. So far, King's office has denied the rumours of the affair and state the Alabama Attorney General has no plans to resign from his post. King is a long-time supporter of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain and his name has been tossed about as a possible candidate for Alabama governor in 2010. King was previously listed as the chairman of John McCain’s Alabama Leadership Team on the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee's website.

However, King now appears to have been wiped off the site, leading some media sources to speculate that the rumours of King's impending resignation over a gay sex scandal may indeed be true. According to Pensito Review, a press release featuring King on McCain's site was removed after the reports about the rumoured gay affair began to circulate. As detailed by EDGEBoston.com, Pensito Review was investigating the connections between King and McCain when they came across the press release about Alabama politicians working as part of the Senator's 'leadership team' in the state. After publishing a story that linked to the press release, Pensito Review was notified by a reader a few minutes later that the press release had vanished.

A blank page came up instead, leading Pensito Review to speculate the press release had been "scrubbed" from McCain's site. No mention of King or the missing press release can now be found on the site.

As a law student at the University of Alabama, King wrote frequent editorials for The Crimson White in condemnation of gays, affirmative action and abortion. In his editorials for the student newspaper, King called homosexuality the ‘downfall of society’ and said AIDS could be cleansed from America if "this nation’s current purveyors of perversion would refrain from committing sodomy."

Maggie Gyllenhaal - “Marie Claire” August 2008

Maggie Gyllenhaal (in Peter Som) dishes to Marie Claire in their August 2008 issue, on newsstands nationwide July 15.

The 30-year-old Dark Knight actress opens up about the highs – and surprising lows – of blockbuster-size fame and being a mom. Maggie also shares how she keeps her edge, her adjustment to motherhood, and dealing with the heart-wrenching death of neighbor, friend and costar Heath Ledger.

On her younger brother Jake Gyllenhaal: “We lived with him in Los Angeles when [my fiance Peter Sarsgaard] and Jake were making Rendition. Jake has a beautiful house, much nicer than a hotel. He’s great with kids - it comes naturally to him. He really has that touch.”

On the death of Heath Ledger: “We live pretty close to them. [But] it was disgusting. I had journalists call me on my cell phone. There were these two shy girls sent from some rag magazine to camp in front of my house. I came home with [my daughter] Ramona and I was so shocked and angry. These poor girls (Michelle Williams and daugther Matilda), it wasn’t their fault. They were out of their element.”

On turning the big 3-0: “I’m not the youngest person at the table anymore. I’m not the young precocious one. I feel like I’m engaging with people in a different way now. I am a woman. I’m treated with respect, as an equal.”

To read the full interview, visit MarieClaire.com. There’s also behind-the-scenes photos from her cover shoot here. Bigger cover pic inside…

I'm sad, I don't find Jake attractive anymore. He lost the softness and cuteness in his face. And he's too wimpy when he's with Reese. :( Come back old Jake!!!

Even more new pictures on IHJ, Jake smiling with Reese and Reese forcing a smile. I'm starting to think they are together, but he's kind of more into her than she into him. Maybe she misses the daddy of her children?
I'm not trying to sell Reeke, I don't like them btw.

Give me a break! lol

Looks like Jake was amused by the driver.

The 'Dark Knight' New York premiere has a black carpet

Word from tonight's "The Dark Knight" premiere in New York - starting in about two hours - is that the red carpet is a funereal black.

Even the publicists and most of journalists lining the arrivals line are wearing the somber hue. Which, to be honest, is fairly normal for a big film premiere.

It's also the first cloudy day in weeks in the Big Apple, with the last rays breaking through at the day's end. But it's far from a sad night. There are hundreds of people lined up already, and there's a festive mood.

The rampant carpet rumor is that Heath Ledger's "Brokeback Mountain" costar and friend Jake Gyllenhaal might show up with his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and her husband, Jake's pal, Peter Sarsgaard.

I kind of doubt it. Doesn't sound like the kind of appearance Jake would make. But you never know. Ledger's family reportedly has flown in for the world premiere as well.

More as it happens! In the meantime, check out the final "Dark Knight" trailer.

How can Jake attend when he's in Paris? Some people aren't up to date, or maybe they just aren't as Jake obsessed as we are to follow his every step.

Anonymous said...

Any guesses how much of a cut reese is getting from the PoP contract. I say she is getting at least 40%. Great job actually for her. She doesn't have to date because she is still in love with Ryan. She gets to spend time with the kids because she doesn't have to be on location filming. Plus what the heck else does she have to do?

Well, after the limp wrist fiasco did you really not expect to be Reeked left, right and center? C'mon!

"Even more new pictures on IHJ, Jake smiling with Reese and Reese forcing a smile. I"

When Jake smiles (ie. when he's not morose, drunk, brooding alone or exhibiting his outer homo) it's because he's clear about the relationship and she isn't. He's gay, lonely and loving the companionship; she's smitten, bored and sexually frustrated.

Once again, Will and Grace aren't seeing eye to eye.

BBM fansites have threads dedicated to Heath and there is his imdb board. I think afte TDK there'll be 1 or 2 fan blogs too, which he hasn't at the moment.

I hope Heath will not be reduced to the ignominy of a fan blog. Nothing against this one, which I enjoy, but fan blogs are for actors who are celebs or heart throbs. Heath didn't want to be either.

Most serious actors hate fan blogs (though of course they love attention - that's the contradiction of actor egos).

Heath's family attends the NY premiere. By the way, Heath's stepmother's name is Emma, not Ines. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20212519,00.html

During the meeting with Jake, Ted and Lisa, she asks him to autograph her favorite picture. It's of Jake and Heath, laughing, looking at each other with huge smiles. Jake related the story that they shot 4 scenes that evening. One being the one with all the meat hanging from the elk. They broke up laughing all night thinking about the homo-erotic image conveyed by the large display of meat, including that moment caught on camera. I really liked learning what was behind the photo.

Ted and Lisa's Excellent Adventure - A day with Jake Gyllenhaal:
"... we can say the old Jake that many people feel is now gone, is still alive and kicking, as we hope many of you picked up from our story"

I'm sure parts of the old Jake are still there, and Jake may see himself as a good friend of Heath's, but actions speak louder than words.

This was a PR-sanctioned encounter (no fan gets time with a star otherwise). Jake was presenting himself to BBM-loving, slash-writing (!) (did Jake realize!?) fanatics - people he didn't know from Adam but who he was certainly conscious would talk about the meeting. What's he going to say, "Heath stinks"?

Image is important for an actor and you can bet that Jake is very, very conscious of how he appears.

Now, Jake may sincerely believe everything he told these fans. And even given the calculation of his camp's damage-control PR leaks after Heath died, there was no doubt that Jake was strongly affected by the death. People who said he and Heath weren't friends didn't have a clue what they were talking about. Jake never wallowed in places where Heath wallowed, but he has always been a Heath fanboi. Trust.

My beef is that this actor I quite like never lifted a finger to defend his pal when the wolves were circling.

Most people will forget about all this as the memory of Heath fades, TDK moves on into the next installment, etc. And Jake will talk about Heath eventually. But timing is all. The man who says after the lynching, "well, he was actually quite a good guy," has nothing on the one who steps into the seething crowd and says, "stop - this person does not deserve this treatment."

Some said it was just a (in my opinion, misjudged) desire to stay above the fray, but then the whole Reeke thing came along, with all its sly image-making, and you realize, PR rules Jake's world.

Ah, fame.

As for Paris images, no way TeamJG was going to allow even the slightest hint that Jake was moping alone while TDK [etc etc CUT]
Xcuse the verbiage.
You all know that.

"They were out of their element." I like Maggie, but this strikes me as condescending. Michelle as some hick who can't deal with Heath, the media, the situation. Michelle dealt well enough.

Michelle and Matilda? That doesn't make sense - I think Maggie was referring to the rag girls.

I read that the same way. She shouldn't talk about Michelle when she, as his co-star, avoided everything relating Heath for six months and only talked about him now to promote her movie.
