Jake Gyllenhaal has strongly dismissed claims he has had relationships with a number of his co-stars.
Gyllenhaal was promoting his new film Everest in Los Angeles earlier this week and, like many high profile male and female actors, soon found himself being probed about his private life.
The 34-year-old is often at the centre of tabloid speculation about relationships with his female co-stars and reportedly “bristled” at a suggestion made by a journalist from News.au that his work with female actresses had “on occasion parlayed to relationships off-screen as well”.
“No. I haven’t done that," he replied. "You should check your facts. There are obviously many extraordinary, charismatic and beautiful people in the business of entertainment and that’s inevitable. I am guilty of a number of things but that is not one of them.”
His Southpaw co-star Rachel McAdams was forced to deny the pair were in a relationship when she faced a similar line of questioning while promoting the film in July.
The exchange comes after Tom Hardy cut off a reporter from an LGBT news site who questioned his sexuality at the Toronto Film Festival. The journalist from the Canadian Daily Xtra site told the Legend actor his sexuality appeared “ambiguous” because of comments he reportedly made to Attitude magazine and asked if Hardy found it difficult for celebrities to talk to the media about their sexuality.
An incredulous Hardy responded: “What on earth are you on about?”

Tom Hardy is known for many things: His lead roles in Inception and Mad Max: Fury Road; his embrace of feminism; his intense love for dogs; his shape-shifting beard; his pillowy lips. But among his (many) gay fans, the 37-year-old British actor is perhaps best known for something very different: Admitting, and later denying he admitted, that he used to have sex with men.
In 2008—ancient Hollywood history—Hardy posed for the December cover of the gay British magazine Attitude as part of a publicity tour for the “crime comedy” RocknRolla, in which Hardy played a closeted London gangster named Handsome Bob. Now, it’s not uncommon for ostensibly straight men to pose for gay publications in Britain; Daniel Radcliffe, for example, has graced the cover of Attitude at least twice. But in an accompanying interview with Attitude’s Simon Gage, Hardy let on that he wasn’t always one thousand percent heterosexual.
Here’s the relevant part:

To me it just doesn’t compute now I’m into my 30s and it doesn’t do it for me and I’m done experimenting.

Not all but I can imagine. We’ve all got an arsehole and I can imagine. It just doesn’t do it for me, sex with another man. But there’s plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life. A lot of gay men get my thing for shoes. I don’t think I’m metrosexual but I’m definitely my mother’s son. I have definite feminine qualities and a lot of gay men are incredibly masculine."
There’s enough text and subtext here to fill several doctoral dissertations in queer theory. Indeed, Hardy is presenting a fairly nuanced view of how sexual behavior transforms within particular social settings, and how desire itself can be tricky to make sense of: “I love the form and the physicality but the gay sex bit does nothing for me.” Still, it seems clear Hardy formed these views from some amount of personal experience: “I’m into my 30s and it doesn’t do it for me and I’m done experimenting.”
In 2008, Hardy was not exactly an A-list actor—his most prominent credit at the time was a minor role in the 2001 film Black Hawk Down—so the interview went mostly unnoticed. A few years later, however, Hardy drew worldwide attention for his role as Eames, a professional impersonator, in the Christopher Nolan thriller Inception. Two weeks after Inception’s worldwide debut in July 2010, the Attitude interview resurfaced in the small British tabloid NOW (which did not credit Attitude), then in the much larger Daily Mail (which credited NOW).
Very suddenly, Hardy’s comments were everywhere. While mainstream entertainment outlets treated the interview as breaking news, gay blogs happily highlighted the candor of the actor’s remarks.
But did Hardy actually say he had sex with men? Well, it sure seemed like it. Nevertheless, people from Hardy’s camp began throwing cold water on the “context” of the interview. An unnamed source eventually approached Entertainment Weekly’s Ted Casablanca with an explanation. But it wasn’t very convincing:

Nobody alleged Hardy had physically penetrated another man, or had been penetrated himself. In the original Attitude interview, Hardy himself seemed to deny being penetrated. When the interviewer asked if he had “done it all,” the actor responded: “Not all but I can imagine. We’ve all got an arsehole and I can imagine.” Besides, plenty of gay men do not practice anal sex. Not having engaged in it does not necessarily mean Hardy has never had sex with men.
It is possible, of course, that Hardy was using penetration as a metonym for being gay, treating this particular behavior as the defining act of gay men. But his Attitude interview suggests he is more than capable of understanding how silly this argument sounds. It also suggests Hardy would apprehend his own statement’s subtext: By emphasizing he was never fucked—i.e., taken on a submissive role—he was trying to reaffirm his heterosexual masculinity.

So Amy Schumer did a bit on The Late Show about renting Jake's place.
And you got the impression she was talking about somewhere in NYC. And that's odd because she talked about her "walk up ass" because she has a four floor walk up with no elevator.
While she was in "Jake's Place" she said that she found an old cake in the freezer and drunk ate some.

The film, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin and Jason Clarke, posted No. 1 openings in Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Iceland, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, South Africa and Taiwan.

After watching the movie 'Southpaw', I would have to say Jake Gyllenhaal for Oscar. Sorry Di Carpio, till the next one.
Everest pulled me onto the edge of my seat in this intense, emotional and incredible film.
The film has an amazing cast, including Jason Clarke, Emily Watson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sam Worthington and Josh Brolin. The actors gave an outstanding performance.
Everest's visuals were beautiful. The film included wonderful shots of the snowy and stunning mountain. It's unbelievable that Everest is based on a true story, it has a fantastic mix of an adventure, drama and documentary film.
The main problem with Everest is that I found the beginning of the film a bit boring. The story progressed and became more interesting later on.
Everest is definitely worth seeing. I recommend watching Everest in IMAX and 3D, because it's a better experience.

Most of the regulars around here left over the last few years for - two reasons .
- with no Toothy / Gray Goose together there was no common goal for a community. OMG kept their common goal in the face a the same facts we had but chose to lie to keep their community together. So they fabricate things to pretnd Tooth and Goose are still together with lots of kids. They lost a lot of people over there too (like Wicked) but kept enough core people to continue to exist for the time being. People here faced facts and left in large numbers.
- as this community WFT2 got smaller and less focusd people started calling out OMG for their lies which were increasing in order to keep up their community glue. Austin + Jake + kids is the glue of OMG. Without it there is no OMG. As this happened more people left here because making fun of PG and pointing out the mountains of evidence how Austin is not gay was not a good enuf reason to stick around so they left. Like all online communities this is a self selected group where people come and go over time. So the people who are left here and Jackie are happy to spend time making fun of PG and exposing her lies.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Benedict Cumberbatch are in talks to play George Westinghouse and Thomas Edison in the Weinstein Company’s “The Current War.”
Alfonso Gomez-Rejon is in talks to direct the film written by Michael Mitnick.
The movie takes place in the late 1880s and revolves around power titans Edison and Westinghouse’s battle over the supply of electricity. Edison championed the use of a direct current for electric power distribution over an alternating current, which was backed by several European companies and Westinghouse Electric.
TWC will finance and distribute the film.
Timur Bekmambetov, who was originally eyed to direct the movie, will produce alongside Film Rites’ Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch.
Gyllenhaal is currently shooting Tom Ford’s “Nocturnal Animals,” Cumberbatch is about to start filming Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” and Gomez-Rejon is working on “Collateral Beauty.” Gyllenhaal also has the Boston Marathon bombing pic “Stronger” on his slate.
Gyllenhaal is coming off a strong festival season after “Everest” and “Demolition” premiered at the Venice and Toronto film festivals, respectively. Gyllenhaal, who is repped by WME, most recently worked with with Weinstein Co. on the boxing drama “Southpaw.”
