Ok. Just looked again and now the photos seem a little strange. The two guys seem to be in front of the same / similar type of door (the hotel?) but we see Jake photographed from two different sides. Did he like do a little catwalk parade back and forth for them? LOL I don't get it... but it's fun!

My online experience: it's a waste of time trying to turn homophobes into people who can see that gays are humans with different sexual orientation. It is possible for some of them to change their minds, to see they are wrong, but for that something big has to happen, like finding out that their sibling is gay.

I feel that way whenever I see the dozy embrace scene - I've seen it countless times and I bawl like a baby every time. Same with Maurice.
Maurice to me the most romantic, sensual, passionate love story I have ever seen - gay or straight. Sometimes I think it even rivals Brokeback for me. I was just stunned by it. The soundtrack is stunning, the time period, everything about it.
Should watch Maurice again.
It's so full of the mystery of what makes people fall in love. It's very beautiful.
Hugh Grant is very handsome in it - but it was James Wilby who I thought was utterly gorgeous - strawberry blond curly hair, and the most gorgous body and thighs (in pants and out of them too). :)

I said this before, and I also think that is one reason why the end just doesn't move me like it maybe should. After the divorce all we ever see is them sitting by some fire or the lake. There's no more hugging, no kissing, nothing at all. (The second sleeping scene maybe but that's just uh sleeping) Would it have killed them to show one more tender moment? Yes, the embrace by the fire (which could bring the tears but never quite achieves it *sigh*) is there but it's just not enough.
Guess that's why all the fanfiction works for me.. fills in all the blanks ;)
Oh and I should really watch Maurice. I own the book but haven't yet gotten round to reading it *sigh*

Agree. The DVD Menu loop is kind of a compressed version so a lot is missing (obviously) and there's more 'them' instead of 'wives etc' so it all has way more impact (on me) than the film. The first half of the film is just full on but then it goes into all the marriage, being apart etc and yes, I get it. That's how it must've been for them: long, boring, exhausting, depressing and what not BUT we see them meet up and they look nothing like what the reunion suggested they are to each other. That's what's so weird.
Anyway. It is an amazing film as it is, despite me wanting just one more scene showing closeness. ;)

I don't think so - the human struggle is still the same. Clive and Maurice also were not the aristocracy - they held jobs - Clive was a barrister and Maurice a stockbroker. They were not of the same class. Whether rich or poor, the struggles were the same if not very similar. Persecution and loss because of who you love.
Clive and Maurice struggled to survive also. They could have lost everything, careers, reputation, jailed and/or executed during that time.

Everything had me swooning about Brokeback, those first three chords at the beginning, Heath shrugging on Ennis' coat, Heath's legs walking, the landscape scenes, the first sight of Jack under that cowboy hat, right through the credits. I couldn't even move out of my seat, I was so stunned. Ennis and Jack are just as princely as Clive and Maurice to me. :)

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly dating a 26-year-old graduate student.
The Brokeback Mountain star was photographed walking arm-and-arm with a mystery woman in New York City on November 9 and she has since been identified by the National Enquirer as Iranian Mahsa Jafarian.
According to the publication, she is currently enrolled in a master's degree program at a college in the Big Apple and met the actor on a train in September - and they have been hanging out ever since.

GrahamNortonFan from Australia usually uploads Graham Norton episodes within a couple of day of it showing there onto You Tube... he has tonnes of past episodes. You could literally spend a week watching them all.

Er, what? I dunno what you're trying to say here. I don't think anyting i'm way too confused for that. All I know is that I don't quite believe the dating rumours based only in what I see in the photos and as to whether he's gay or not: I've read all of wft2 and while I'm still mainly confused by him NOW his past actions etc speak louder than his feeble, awkward interview answers ever could. That being said, I don't believe in Jaustin (nice thougt but no) and don't believe in BTs...

Following Jake since he has been a kid I have come to the conclusion that there are three things that are have had consistent presence and form the foundation of his life. Three things he relies on and that is his career, his family and Austin. Hasn't been hard to see at all.

That is not what I see at all. The fact is your statement would be correct if you said PG has been the one that did not want opinions that did not include the existence of multiple children posted on the blog. She has consistently called folks trolls who did not agree. That is not to say many were not posting just to get to PG. WFT was created with the assumption that Jake was gay and involved with another actor. Many have presumed the actor was Austin. What has happened in both of their lives is pure speculation from then to now. But was is a fact is that thy are still close and have spent much time together which is rare for two men their age. I can understand that someone would not believe what I think but I think they are still very much together.

Doesn't appear that Austin has spent much time in LA since Jake has left. The only time that we have heard that Austin was in LA was when Jake had been there recently also.
Jake does have other male friends like Chris and Adam but I see no pattern that would lead me to believe that those friendships are anything like the relationship he has with Austin. Just don't see it at all.

WFT2 could be a really great place for everyone who is interested in Jake if its sole purpose wasn't to bash OMG and the people who post there. I have seen a little of the better lately.
