Could be because since BBM I’ve watched a lot of gay-themed films with more sensual sex scenes, but I found the love scenes in BBM to be too "straight" and cold on a recent re-watch. Like a gay movie trying to not be so gay, if it makes sense. A little tenderness at least between the characters wouldn’t have hurt. It wouldn't have made them less manly.

The director - best known for 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' and 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' - expressed frustration at Hollywood's obsession with CGI-filled blockbusters and big name stars, saying he fell into the same trap with his Jake Gyllenhaal-fronted fantasy flick.
He told The Telegraph newspaper: ''I think Hollywood has screwed itself - and they know it. They've said that the only way they can sell to the world is to make [blockbusters]. I've done one of them, for God's sake - 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' - which is one huge CGI sequence after another. I tried to make it like a Jerry Bruckheimer film and I was wrong; it didn't do well.''
He later backtracked, claiming it was a ''foolish'' comment to make about Hollywood and said the most important thing in a blockbuster are killer action sequences.
Mike explained: ''You don't need the actors to be fantastic in those films; you need action sequences to knock you dead. You have to think really hard about whether you change your slot as a director, and my slot is that I never want to be without quality writing.''
The filmmaker's latest film is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' 'Great Expectations', starring Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes.
He said: ''This time I was desperate to make a 'word' work instead, something where the dialogue mattered.''
The 70-year-old added he may return to his television roots in future because he is fed up of typecasting in films.

'Jake Gyllenhaal goes out of his way to make people feel comfortable,' says co-star Anna Kendrick
Jake Gyllenhaal may be an Oscar nominee and one of the hottest men in Hollywood, but despite his status, he is actually rather lovely. When we caught up with Jake's current co-star, Anna Kendrick, she told Marie Claire online that he’s ‘incredibly sensitive’ and makes everyone ‘feel comfortable.’
We spoke to Twilight alumni, Anna as she promoted her latest film End of Watch where she plays the girlfriend of Jake’s character. The film is a gritty insight into life as an LA policeman where arresting one man leads to dangerous repercussions.
Speaking about working closely with Jake, Anna told us: ‘He is amazing, he is incredibly sensitive to people around him and really puts other people’s performances ahead of his own.
‘He really goes out of his way to make people open up and feel comfortable.
With a highly charged storyline and five different cameras, shooting the film wasn’t always easy, but again, Anna could only praise Jake’s professionalism.
She added: ‘We were filming on five different cameras and you’d be in character for 12 hours a day. We all got really close really quickly which was lovely and Jake was always running around set making sure that everyone was ok. That was really impressive!’

I'd say maybe not 'the most' but yeah, I think he's underrated.
