Friends and Allies

Kris Allen on his frustration with Christians who wouldn't accept Adam Lambert:

"There [were all these rumors] about how all the conservative, Christian people that would vote for me hate Adam and never want him to win because of who he is. Oh, it was so frustrating — really bad, because we are really good friends. Why can't everyone get along? It never made any sense for me to judge anyone, who they are. It frustrates me that people can't get along with people because of their differences. And I'll tell you what, especially Christians.

Christians have a hard time accepting people like Adam — liberal, from L.A., looks different, maybe acts a certain way. He's a great, great guy. They don't even give him a chance. And it's frustrating because I come from that. A lot of my friends are not that way, which I appreciate, but a lot of people in Arkansas or in the South or wherever are that way. We really hope that our relationship can be an inspiration to people. I could go on about that forever."

^^
Is not exactly
like that, rags print
hook up /engagement/wedding news making it pass as "sources" information, as if the reporters really did some kind of research.

Not everybody stop to think that it's PR people who actually slip this information.

All Ree$e has to do is
frow and claim respect to her privacy....... that little faker

Anonymous said...

If there is ever an annoucement of an engagement, it will be in People.

And rags make up filler stories all of the time.

Anonymous said...

While I think that the In Touch wedding dress story is BS, I do find it interesting that it's been a while since we've had a "Jake proposed again and Reese said no" story. Last proposal story we had said Reese was finally considering getting married again. Wonder if Reeke PR is slowly building up to an engagement for real or slowly building up to a breakup-Reese wasn't ready for second marriage and it broke them apart sceanario.

So what if Reeke break up? I hope you all know that after Reese he'll get himself another beard?
Maybe she'll be even worse.

No, no beard can be worse than Reese.

SSadly you're probably right about another beard around the corner, but maybe we'll get a year or two of his being too heartbroken to date anyone. And maybe Jake will grow a pair and at least have the courage not to beard. Which doesn't mean he'll come out, don't see that happeening anytime soon, The General woud probably have him taken out if she got wind of it.

Anonymous said...

I know a lot of people are mad at Jake and are quite hostile but he has never said anything about Reese. If she is a beard than he is doing minimum.

Anonymous said...

What?!

Promoting Reese and the fauxmance for the last 18 months is "doing minimum"?!? LMAO!

Anonymous said...

(Un)luckily for Jake, since the bearding began his career has been in such a slump that he's never had to be asked anything, that is he's never been in a position to be asked about Reese during the promotion of any film. (because, for the past 18 months he hasn't has a film to promote).

It will be interesting to see what happens when the promotion for brothers starts. Now that is several months of, so hopefully Reese will be by then be consigned to the dustbin (trash can?) where she truly belongs. If not, we'll then see if Jakey's up to professing undying love for the Brentwood gnome or not.

Anonymous said...

Not true.
Jake was asked about Reese during Rendition promotion.

4:58.. yes, but he wasn't openly bearding then, so it was all that coy, 'are they, aren't they' crap. It will be a bi more difficult to act coy when you've been on 10,000 coffee runs and have one rather uncomfortable anal probing session on video.

Anonymous said...

No, it will be much easier this time because Reeke isn't news any more.

'Are they, aren't they' Reeke crap was much more interesting than Reeke after 18 months of drinking coffee and shopping.

Anonymous said...

5:11.. ITA, I wonder what it feels like to have thought that you were going to be part of America's next golden couple and to find that very few people actually care, and most that do care can't stand the idea. Maybe Jake and Reese are so divorced from reality that they don't even realise.

Reality is that Jake is Reese's best marketing tool ever, she doesn't have a better option. Reese needs tabloids and gossip - she has crapy cosmetics and crapy romcoms to sell.

You can't force people to like you, but you can sell, sell, sell. And that's what Reeke is doing - selling and pushing fake images.

"seemingly they couldn't care less"

I'm fairly sure that when Reese was collecting her oscar she didn't imagine that 3 years down the line she's be bearding, still stuck in rom-com purgatory, and having to flog cheap crap for Avon.

Yes, is well paid work, but its hardly, shacked up with Brad, turning down offers from top flight directors and a contract with Chanel is it.

Sure the same could be said for Jake as well (except he hasn't even got a the Avon gig).

A positive thing to come out of the economic crisis we're all living through is that alot of people are realising that shopping and mindless consumerism don't bring you happiness, just credit cards bills you can't pay. All these mindless shopping trips just make Reeke look shallow and stupid. If you're going to spend money, at least spend it on something with worth it, like Brad and his $1 million art. Shoes and handbags don't buy you happiness.

11.06pm is one of the frustated former Jake fans.

Jake will be doing fine during promotion for "Brothers", those Lettermann, Conan and other interviews are never very serious. Perhaps Ellen will be asking a question or making a comment.

Jake has also not discussed Kirsten during interviews. Sometimes he made some comments about his parents but thats it.

I would be surprised if he mentions Reese.

BTW it looks like the fake Reese twitter is gone.

JEREMY Piven won't let us forget about his bout with "extreme mercury toxicity." The hard-partying actor is in town this week for arbitration over his defection from the Broadway play "Speed-the-Plow," which he blamed on his sushi-rich diet. He tells Michigan Avenue magazine, "The Obama administration came out and said the No. 1 chemical problem in the world is mercury . . . there will be a lot of documentaries coming out showing what happens when you have too much mercury in your system." Still, even Piven seems to realize how absurd his claim seemed to some people: "It sounds like some crazy rich man's disease."

Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Pattinson, Chris Pine Battle for Lance Armstrong Biopic said...

Jake Gyllenhaal and Matthew McConaughey were both rumored to become BFF’s with Lance Armstrong to score the lead role in the cyclist’s biopic. The threesome were constantly photographed together in what appeared to be a bromance involving spandex and beach workouts. The project had momentum in 2006 and Jake was said to have scored the role of Lance. Suddenly Matthew was kicked out of their workout club. Reps and even Gyllenhaal himself danced around questions asked about his involvement with the film.

The biopic never got off the ground and steam behind the press train vanished. However, E! is reheating the rumor and throwing more names into the ring. Chris Pine and Robert Pattinson are said to be in the running after their recent rise to fame. Risky Business Blog also states that Matt Damon is interested in the role.

Lance Biopic said...

It looks like the Lance Armstrong biopic is finally pedaling forward.

The long-gestating Columbia project has brought on a writer well-versed in sports comeback stories and could shoot as early as next year, according to producer Frank Marshall.

Gary Ross, who wrote and directed multiple-Oscar nominee “Seabiscuit,” has been hired to pen the Armstrong script. “We knew Gary well from is work on ‘Seabiscuit’ and thought he’d be perfect for this,” said Marshall, who also produced the Depression-era tale with producing partner Kathleen Kennedy.

The story of Armstrong’s improbable comeback from illness to win seven consecutive Tour de France titles — and his capturing of the American imagination in doing so — carries echoes of “Seabiscuit,” which told of a long-shot racehorse’s unlikely victories and the manner in which they inspired the country.

The pic is based on Armstrong’s first book, the 2000 tome he wrote with Sally Jenkins titled “It’s Not About the Bike,” which traces his story from his difficult Texas upbringing, his cancer diagnosis in 1996, his relationship to first wife Kristin, the birth of their child and his remarkable comeback from illness that saw him first win the Tour de France in 1999. (He also founded the Live Strong foundation, became the subject of unproven doping allegations, etc, though much of that happened later.)
...
(Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly was interested and even spent time with Armstrong to research the role but did not wind up coming aboard.)

Matt Damon is the latest actor to have been mentioned as a possible Armstrong, though there remains no official casting on the pic.

Chastity Bono -- Becoming a Man said...

Chastity Bono, civil rights advocate, journalist, author and musician, is in the early stages of changing his gender -- transitioning from female to male, TMZ has learned.

Bono, the child of legendary entertainers Sonny and Cher, began the process earlier this year, shortly after his 40th birthday.

"Yes, it's true -- Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity," confirmed Bono's publicist, Howard Bragman. "He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones. It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his 'coming out' did nearly 20 years ago.

We ask that the media respect Chaz's privacy during this long process as he will not be doing any interviews at this time."

I have to stop now. This is depressing me. Damn, Heath (it still hurts).

The audience started laughing and gasping, and it wasn't a funny scene," a witness at the Public Theater production at the Delacorte told us. "Then the raccoon wandered off, but the girls had no idea what had happened until later."

Lou Diamond Phillips: "Do not apologize for who you are" said...

I'm not watching I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! but one of our helpful readers (who was none too proud of the fact that he had seen it, either!) tipped us off that in last night's "opening up" session, actor Lou Diamond Phillips revealed that the moment that changed his life forever was when a closeted gay friend died of AIDS without ever having allowed himself to pursue happiness as an out gay man.

First off, that's a very powerful and touching message for Phillips to share. But it's all the more poignant when you take a few other factors into consideration...

One, Phillips was notably married to Julie Cypher, who divorced him in 2000 to have a relationship with lesbian rocker Melissa Etheridge, and it's encouraging to see that he is still vocally supportive of LGBT concerns. And for another, with Phillips on the show is outspoken born-again Christian Stephen Baldwin, who seems to soak in what Phillips has to say about being proud of what and who God made you. (He even gives his hand a supportive squeeze after.)

Top 50 Hottest Young Actors- TOP 10 said...

07 June 2009

10 - James McAvoy
9 - Ryan Gosling
8 - Louis Garrel

# 7 -Jake Gyllenhaal: He puts on a woman's dress to prove a point. He slams a camera into a vulture's head to prove another. But this young man who made love to Ennis del Mar has earned more than an Oscar nomination, he has proven himself more than capable of becoming an on-screen hero.

Movie lovers easily recognize Jake for his intensity and dedication to his roles. Not easily blinded by the glitz and glamour of being a celebrity, he remains true to his craft and continues to play challenging and interesting roles. Says Jake:

"Some movies you fall a step behind and some you stay in the same place, make the same choices. And then sometimes there are people who know more than you but show you, and that's the maximum you can hope for - doing that with someone who says, "I like you for what you are, and I want you to be in my picture." I didn't have to fake it or put on a mask - all the resources I had inside me were more than adequate. I don't want to pretend to be something ... I'm not pretending any more to fit somebody's mold. That's a long-winded statement but - why not do what you really think, even if it's a mistake?"

Why a #7 ranking: With a talent and instinct beyond his years, Jake Gyllenhaal proves an actor can be both a media celebrity and a critically acclaimed actor. Known for his antics on TV talk shows, Gyllenhaal has charmed his way into the hearts of American audiences. But the guy has international appeal and a following that could rival today’s biggest stars. His role as the disturbed teen Donnie Darko and as gulf war veteran Anthony Swofford in Sam Mendes’ Jarhead. But most famous for his role in Brokeback Mountain as the passionate and idealistic Jack Twist opposite Heath Ledger.

He'll next be seen with Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire in the highly-anticipated feature called Brothers.

2nd October 2002

Rising stars Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal are still single - they're not dating according to the man himself. The 21-year old The Good Girl actor is fed up with reports he is dating the Star Wars beauty and wants to set the record straight. He insists, "We're just friends. You know, when you sit next to someone while you're out to dinner with friends and reporters are there, 'sitting next to each other' becomes 'snogging' very quickly. She's a buddy."

Join Natalie Portman's World said...

Almost two months after going live, the Web site Making Of—which provides an insider’s perspective on filmmaking thanks to exclusive interviews, mini masterclasses, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and the involvement of Natalie Portman—is launching a social component, called the “Community.” If Making Of is a virtual film school, the Community is both its bulletin board and its common room. Or facebook, without all those extraneous non-film people. According to this morning’s press release,

Having Portman as the face of the site allows filmmakers to let their guards down and speak candidly. Trolling through the site, one finds handfuls of eyebrow-raising tidbits—Darren Aronofsky admitting that Ellen Burstyn wasn’t his first choice for Requiem for a Dream, for example, and that the actors he wants regularly turn him down. Or Jim Sheridan telling Portman to her face that she, to some extent, and Jake Gyllenhaal, to a much greater extent, are reluctant to shoot scenes in which they don’t come off as “cool.” (Both videos below)

Says banning gay marriage is good for the federal budget.

"Government currently provides an array of material and other benefits to married couples in an effort to promote, protect, and prefer the institution of marriage. . . . If [a State] were to permit homosexuals to marry, these marital benefits would, absent some legislative response, presumably have to be made available to homosexual couples and surviving spouses of homosexual marriages on the same terms as they are now available to opposite-sex married couples and spouses. To deny federal recognition to same-sex marriages will thus preserve scarce government resources, surely a legitimate government purpose."

Cuntara makes news! said...

Literary Editor Has a Bone to Pick with the Gyllenhaals /

Canatara Christopher—who runs the small book imprint that published a book of poems by Stephen Gyllenhaal, dad of Jake and Maggie—no longer seems to worship her famous friend. She sent an email around, revealing family secrets.

In an email titled "The Secret History of the Gyllenhaals" that was sent out to friends and colleagues, Christopher, who before she turned to a life of letters was a performer in 70s skin-flicks like The Insatiable Sadie the Whore, reveals anecdotes about the famous dad that, if not exactly scandalous, certainly hint at some strange behavior on both parties' parts.

It begins bizarrely:
"Through all that's been happening with Michael and me since last December (the crooked lawsuit that resulted in the freezing of every penny of our personal assets, the threat to our income, the botched operation that threatened my life, the loss of our home, our new temporary digs in the mountains with the widow of Philip K. Dick) there's been one subject that has simply refused to quit my mind. And that, of course, is: What the Fuck Is Up with the Gyllenhaals Anyway?"

Cuntara makes news! said...

What the fuck indeed. Also, what the fuck is up with Cantara? Her tiny imprint Cantarabooks published Gyllenhaal's 2006 collection of poems Claptrap: Notes from Hollywood, and she seems to have become close with him during their work together. Her Facebook page lists some of her favorite films as "anything directed by my beloved Stephen Gyllenhaal." But those lovely sentiments seem to have soured, and now she's contemplating putting together this tell-all. Anyway, she presses on:

"A Google check of the phrases "my beloved Stephen Gyllenhaal" and "my beloved manchild Stephen Gyllenhaal" will also alert even the most casual onlooker to just how deeply Stephen got under my skin. Also, of all my postings on my blog, the ones labeled "Stephen Gyllenhaal" are the most numerous (although the Susan Boyle postings get the most hits).

As I said, the subject of the Gyllenhaals, despite our pressing troubles, has never been far from my mind. It's seeping into my writing and isn't giving me a lot of breathing room. I'm even unable to write about them fictionally because even fictional treatment can barely disguise them — a mysterious contemporary Hollywood family consisting of a manque director father, manipulative screenwriter mother and two emotionally confused movie-star children might be the stuff of Harold Robbins, except it's all real, it's happening now, and four years ago this July it got dumped in my lap. I have to deal with this material some way or another, or I will go nuts.

So this is what I'm gonna do. I started what's going to be a longish essay called "A Poet from Hollywood: The Secret History of the Gyllenhaals" and I'm going to privately circulate it, in parts, by email. While this multi-part essay should not at this time be considered ready for general publication, please feel free to share this and the other upcoming emails with anyone you think might be interested."

Cuntara makes news! said...

So, OK! Maybe you're interested? Here are some of her tales of Gyllenhaal:

"Item: October 2006. Stephen's granddaughter Ramona Sarsgaard is born, several days later he gives a reading at the Zinc Bar in Soho, and what is now known in Jake Gyllenhaal fan circles as "Babygate" transpires.

[The blog linked to above is an obsessive Gyllenhaal stalking blog, which might suggest that Christopher is nothing more than a crazed, jilted fan...]

Item: December 2006. A freak fire in Northern California completely wipes out the luxury guest lodge where the entire Gyllenhaal family are staying for the holidays, resulting in Stephen running out of the lodge at three in the morning barefoot and sans underwear, but carrying out the single most important item to him in the room — not the twenty thousand dollar Rolex watch given to him by his wife for their anniversary, but his laptop containing the only copy of his first novel.

Item: February 2007. Stephen is scheduled to host a viewing of one of his films and read his poetry for a long-standing reading series at Colorado U, Boulder. A reception is organized for him in the Paleontology Department of the university. All the guests are already there but Stephen is nowhere to be found. I ask the coordinator where he is. She points to a closed door. "He's in the cloak room on his cell phone, talking to his analyst."

Item: March 2007. Huntington Beach, California. Stephen, tired from a day of shooting a TV show, reads his poetry for a local reading series. At this time he reveals his secret desire to stab Naomi to death with a kitchen knife, not only to the stunned crowd of seniors but to Naomi's father, who is in the audience.

Item: August 2007. Stephen begins his research into the problems of the homeless by neglecting to shave for two days and sleeping on the streets of LA's Skid Row."

Christopher also mentions our April post about Gyllenhaal's bizarre Madoff-defending blog rant, and the fact that the elder Gyllenhaal's divorce proceedings revealed them to be mostly broke.

Sigh. We were sorta hoping for gossip like "Oh yeah, and Jake's totally gay," but alas, no such luck yet.

So whose side are we to fall on here? The odd, idiosyncratic Gyllenhaal, now being curiously maligned? Or the crazy-seeming Cantara Christopher, a former performer in a "Swedish Erotica series" who does seem to have some credible access to the Gyllenhaal clan, even if it was gained by creepy stalkerish behavior?

Well, until we know just what supposedly caused this apparent falling out (from beloved to be-gossiped), we're going to hold off judgment on both camps.

Let's just hope no one gets stabbed with a kitchen knife before that happens.

However, being a hypocrite, I am curious as to what she means by both children being "emotionally confused," especially since she has denied that Jake is gay. So, what else could she be referencing?

"Same reason some of us wanna trash Jake. Our beloved isn't behaving as we wish"

I trash him because of the bearding, i don't think is wrong if he chose it but i just don't like it.
But the way he looks as a persian prince and the way he behave when Heath died, it is wrong by itself

Anonymous said...

Actually Jake looks like the video game character, the original character.

As for his behavior during the week following Heath's death, I don't know what was going on in his head or heart. I am inclined to leave his grief alone. It is possible to be very much manipulated when you are hurting; I have experienced this.

Anonymous said...

Speaking of Heath's death, I just remembered how some gossip sites were talking about how Reese was such a support to Jake at that time and how the relationship was taken to the "next level" at this time.

Is it possible that some of this blather may be partly true in that Reese et al. could have taken advantage of this particularly emotinally vulnerable moment in Jake's life (esp. if there is any truth to any of the rag reports that he was emotinally shut down for some time) and really got their hooks in and convinced him that he needs someone like Reese, not just professionally, but personally, keep him anchored?

Just a theory, but might explain some of his subservience.

Anonymous said...

^^I had a similar theory 1:18. Maybe Reese really was there for him in this difficult time and now he feels like he ows her?

I just wish Jake and her would have avoided photo ops at the time, arranged or not. We've seen oftentimes that when they don't want to be paped we hardly get any pics of them. It was in bad taste in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

"Just a theory, but might explain some of his subservience."

Bullshit blather, in my view.

We'll never know. Nor do we know how "subservient" he is.

But it's an interesting theory.

My own is that he had the shit scared out of him because he was getting alot of thrill out of jeopardizing his career with Heath lovin' and cross dressing (cf picture of Heath in prison cell on Brothers set and SNL)

But now his best bet, to save his own ass was to go to ground. Which he did.

Poor sod, didnt even have the opportunity and freedom to grieve a fellow actor.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure Heath's death was a real shock to Jake, but it's not like his life changed or something.
He lost a friend an a collegue, not a family member or an everyday person in his life. I don't think Heath tragedy hit him in such a devastated way that he was left weak and easy to manipulate.
It was a sad event in his life but nothing that time couldn't cure

Anonymous said...

I do remember that people (tab outlets and entertainment shows) were actually asking where was Jake because he hadn't been seen or heard from from during that Tuesday through Thursday period. I remember wondering where he was too since I knew he left the set that Tuesday. So maybe the photos were supposed to be some kind of pr way to let people know both that he was okay (at least physically) and of course, that his wonderful girlfriend was taking care of him.

Why did he go along with that? Who really knows? Maybe, this one time, he didn't call the paps. You may think this silly, but it's possible that Reese suggested they get out and get some air, he just went along, and of course, she made sure the paps were called. I think this is possible because she wasn't with him, comforting him, but was in front with her children.

I actually felt bad for him. He just looked like he was all alone and lost back there, just trailing along. I was really surprised that she didn't at least try to put on more of a show of support for the paps. All I kept thinking was, damn, if that's how she is in private, I hope he's got someone to help him. You know, maybe he really doesn't, and that's why he seems so adrift.

I resent he didn't pay respects to Heath's memory as so many other collegues did. A few words, a condlolence to Heath's family and that would be it. He brought more attention to himself by being silent.

I don't care if he kept working, visiting friends or
doing the already scheduled Reeke photo- ops. It is his life and his job, it has nothing to do with Heath's passing.

A few words would have been nice and correct, that's all.

The whole Gyllenhaal family have been in and out of therapy for years, no secret. Maggie talked about it during Sherrybaby PR, the Mother has talked about it as well.

The father is addicted to it and yes you can be addicted to shrinks, some feel like they can't take a shit with out calling their shrink.

It's kind of sad what has happened to the prents, they were once very successful in HW, now almost broke and nuttier than a bag of bats.

Cantara is a piece of shit.

Anonymous said...

Wow, sounds like the Gyllenhaal family were having serious problems for a long time. Both Stephen and Cantara sound crazy.

Might explain why Jake chose to start bearding so heavily.

Anonymous said...

Let's just be real for a sec. Jake knew Heath how long? 3 years? That's not a long time. They didn't see each other on an every day basis, probably rarely in the last year of Heath's life. There's no comparison with how the closest to Heath must have felt and still feel. I agree that he was shocked and that Reese probably was a support at the time.
I honestly didn't have a problem with Jake not paying tribute, it's just the almost daily Reeke pics we got to see that left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure it could have been avoided.

There were no daily Reeke pictures. Heath died on a Tuesday. The only Reeke picture that surfaced were only the one taken days later of them in the park. In the pictures the following day of Jake getting coffee, he was alone.

I think people's memories are getting a little blurred. I think Ava walking beside Jake underscores his isolation, not lessens it.

The depth of someone's friendship, or the impact a person may have on you cannot, be measured in the amount of time that two people have actually known each other.

Silence can speak louder than words.

Unfortunately the problem with silence is that it is open to interpretation. Some take Jake's silence as indifference. I don't believe that the same man who communicated such obvious admiration/lust for Heath would be/could be indiffent to his death.

I think the boy was a mess of feelings and could put them into words. Maybe he couldn't say what he really felt, and didn't want to say anything less. Maybe he didn't want to deal with it. Just woke up everyday, and hoped it was just a bad dream.

As much as I want to find blame with Jake, you should have people who really love you step up in these situations and help you out. It doesn't look like anyone did.

Or maybe he just shut everyone out. I am talking about emotionally.

I agree-no matter how shocked or traumatized he was, SOMEBODY in his PR camp should have done it on his behalf. They should have known better than be the obvious, fawning, servile minions that they are. Heath was NOT just another co-star, no matter how hard Jake and his PR camp/management want the public to think. He and Jake were part of a groundbreaking, seminal film that was a cultural phenomenon. Jake was also (according to Heath and Michelle) Matilda's godfather. So he was more than just a mere co-star to Jake. Again, Jake's sycophants should have known better.

Anonymous said...

If Michelle could do it in such a classy and respectful way, i'm sure Jake could have done it as well.

There was so much praise for the lovely Naomi Watts for paying so great tributes to Heath, but because the other ex, Michelle, is the mother of Heath's kid, everyone took it for granted that she payed tribute. I think it's not, she didn't have to do it. It's great that she did though. She was a class act. Actually Spike Jonze is a classy guy to, cause he stayed in the backround and that's good.

I always thought they did try to get him to make a statement but he refused for whatever reason. Maybe he was devastated --but as Heath's most well known co-star and supposedly good friend (and godfather to Matilda), he should have done it. That would have been a decent thing to do. But I guess he didn't want to be associated with a druggie who might have overdosed. Wouldn't have done well for the trying to be squeaky clean image.

Jake has been desparately trying to run from the gay for two years now, and that includes not reminding people that he got f**cked in the *ss by Heath in BBM, so no, Jake wasn't going to say a word about Heath. This weeks In Touch Weekly "story":

She may not be officially engaged yet, but Reese Witherspoon has already decided on the dress.

“Reese has picked out the gown she’s going to wear when she and Jake [Gyllenhaal] finally get married,” says a pal of the actress’. “It’s an unconventional color just like Gwen Stefani’s, and her daughter, Ava, will wear an identical dress.”

Ava, 9, loves matching her mom and already has about 50 identical outfits, says the friend, so she’s very excited to walk down the aisle as the flower girl, wearing a miniature version of Reese’s gown.

Jake and Reese have been together since 2007, and as previously reported by In Touch, he is so smitten by Reese that he has proposed numerous times, as recently as their last trip to Italy, but Reese was hesitant to say yes after her failed marriage to Ryan Phillippe.

But it seems that she is finally ready to make things official. In addition to the gown, Reese is already planning an intimate ceremony at her Ojai, California home.

She’s also content that Ava and son Deacon, 5, adore Jake.

“He not only wants to be her husband, he wants to take responsibility for her children,” says his pal. “they’re in a good place.
