I also think that this PR job didn't do any favour to her if they wanted to justify the situation:

The evening of back-to-back monologue plays by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne, respectively, debuts on Broadway following a sold-out run at the Public Theater downtown.
Directed by Carrie Cracknell, Sea Wall / A Life explore the joys and pain of both love and loss as the men recall past events involving those they love. Previously seen Off-Broadway, the show began previews on Broadway July 26 for a limited run through September 29.
Stephens' Sea Wall finds Sturridge, in his third collaboration with the Tony- and Olivier Award-winning playwright (Heisenberg, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) in an exploration of the human need to know the unknowable. In A Life, Gyllenhaal continues his collaboration with Olivier Award-nominated playwright Payne (Constellations, If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet) for an emotional examination of how sons become fathers and the transformative power of love.

Happy 9th birthday to Baby Tile Leadville today. And while Broadway plays semi-regularly open on a Thursday, they also open on other days of the week. It just is too coincidental that his play would "open" AGAIN on his son's birthday.
But, but, but. As M&M pointed out these words of wisdom, this is not any different from many kids who have birthdays during the school year and are sent off to school for the day to be with their classmates, then can celebrate at home in the evening with their family.
Couldn't a celebration be held during the day today and then in the late afternoon, Jakers tells his son "Daddy's got to go to work, BT."
Of course he wouldn't call him "BT". LOL! Remember the post we did where we speculated on what we believe this particular Baby Tile is named? Busy's cake said it all.

Stan is in a play that Nine Stories is producing, along with Holland and Robert Pattinson. Holland has already said he will be attending so there will be alot of "husband" chatter with that appearance. And no doubt, Pattinson will be attending a show as well.

I couldn’t love Jake Gyllenhaal more even if I tried
The actor, 38, has no wife, no child and two living parents, TV director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner. He doesn’t even really, he says, have a home. “I don’t know if I would necessarily say I’ve settled anywhere,” says Gyllenhaal, sitting in his dressing room a few hours before the second preview of the show. “I feel like I’m constantly moving.” But he recoils at the idea that he’s in unfamiliar terrain when taking on such visceral human transitions as the death and birth of family. “I have lost a lot of people that I love.
