New Showmance - It’s Official
December 1, 2010
With movie Love and Other Drugs and new album promotion still on, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift officially started showmance promotion by posing for Us Weekly.
Actually David, he is. He's (James Franco) pretty open about it amongst friends and people he works with. When he was in Toronto shooting, he hit on pretty much every hot guy under 30 within a ten mile radius, including a close friend of mine who worked at the hotel Franco was staying at. He even had his b/f with him for half the shoot, and they were quite affectionate at the wrap party.

On the way back from Mexico to New York he jumped off the boat. But even on that boat ride, he hit on some guy. LOL!
And, good news: Franco told us he’ll have a gay sex scene in the film ("Yeah!"), but when we pressed for details, he joked, “You don’t get that exclusive.” :)
Weird that there aren't more rumors about Anne Hathaway, because, according to a female friend of mine who slept with her, she is gay. Meaning both hosts of this year's Oscars are closeted.
Carrie Fisher may not really have the power to turn men gay, but she does have a gift for turning gay lemons into lemonade in Wishful Drinking, her autobiographical solo show that’s been filmed for a new HBO special. By Brandon Voss
In a 2004 interview with The Advocate, actress-author Carrie Fisher recalled her teenage crushes on the gay men who danced backup for her mother, Debbie Reynolds. “They were gorgeous and kind and fun and interested in me,” she said. “That was who I started smoking dope with and who I wanted to fit in with.” As we discover in Wishful Drinking — her 2008 memoir and subsequent solo act about her family drama, bipolar disorder, and Pez dispenser–friendly past as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise — her relationship with gay men only got stronger and stranger. Directed by World of Wonder’s Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, the gay partners behind Party Monster and The Eyes of Tammy Faye, a live taping of Wishful Drinking premieres Sunday, December 12, on HBO. We caught up with the 54-year-old firecracker to discuss her gay ex-husband, her gay poltergeist, and John Travolta’s latest sex scandal.
The Advocate: It’s one thing to air out your dirty laundry in a book, and it’s quite another to tell your story to a crowd of 1,000 people a night on Broadway. But how does it feel to now have your most personal, intimate struggles captured on film for the ages? Carrie Fisher: Sometimes I don’t think of what it is I’m doing. That’s how I do things — by pretending it’s not happening.
The audiences at your Broadway show were always packed with gay fans. Were you at all surprised by that support? Oh, no. You guys better be supportive because I’ve spent my life with you. My mother’s whole nightclub act had gay backup dancers. When I was 13 and started doing my mother’s show, I was with them all the time. I got my first kiss from a gay man. And second. And third.
At each performance, you picked someone from the audience to come join you on stage to play with a life-size Princess Leia doll. From what I hear, it was very often a gay guy. Was that just a coincidence, or has your gaydar sharpened in recent years? Well, I think gay guys feel a little more comfortable with me. They could decide whether they wanted to come up or not, but gay people are a little more open to doing weird things.
Gay male fans must be a breath of fresh air for you. So many straight guys and lesbians worship Princess Leia as an object of young lust, but I couldn’t really care less about Star Wars. Sure, I’ll play with your doll, but I’m pretty confident that I’m not the only gay man who would much rather talk about Soapdish and your attendance at Madonna’s wedding to Sean Penn. [Laughs] Yeah, that’s true. Star Wars isn’t a very fertile area for me and gay men to discuss. I didn’t have a good enough costume for a drag Leia. Gay men really respond to any of the goofy stuff I’ve done — even fucking Under the Rainbow. Anything that’s incredibly stupid. Wasn’t the joke in Soapdish that I had some young stud in my office? That was good.
And the younger gays now have Sorority Row, so the campy cycle continues. Oh, I know! And that was a gay director [Stewart Hendler] too, and I got along great with him.
When The Advocate last spoke to you, we discussed your 2004 novel The Best Awful, a fictionalized account of your husband, CAA superagent Bryan Lourd, leaving you for another man. You continued to explore that particular subject in Wishful Drinking on a much more personal level. Is that something you continue to work through, or, after talking about the subject for so many years, have you finally made peace with it? Yeah, I mean, initially I obviously wasn’t thrilled, but I’m mostly at peace with it now. From the beginning, we coparented our daughter, Billie, and took our vacations together. Fairly recently, we all went to Costa Rica together. So I’m in constant contact with Bryan. It’s been dealt with well, so we’ve gotten through most of the mess.
Considering all of the salacious stuff you talk about in Wishful Drinking — the Hollywood family gossip, the drug abuse, the mental health issues — it’s interesting that your failed marriage to a gay man seems to get so much attention. Maybe it’s because Bryan’s in the paper sometimes now. It’s a funny anecdote, but I don’t really think people care that much about that kind of thing anymore, do you?
Well, Fran Drescher made headlines earlier this year when she revealed that her ex-husband was gay. Oh, has Fran Drescher come out and said that? You know, sometimes, after a certain age, you marry your friend. Frequently, gay men are much better friends to women than other women.
You must’ve gotten this all the time: “How did you not know?” Is that a fair question or an ignorant one? Both. But I didn’t know because I didn’t want to know. I wanted to believe whatever he told me, and I didn’t want to question it. I was in love with him.
When explaining that your ex-husband once blamed your codeine abuse on pushing him toward other men, you joke in Wishful Drinking that you have the power to turn men gay. These are funny quips, but they’ve also turned into headlines that some readers may take seriously. So just to clarify for those who believe that being gay is a choice, do you and Bryan know that he was always gay and that you had nothing to do with it? Well, we don’t talk about it much, but yes, I should think that he was always gay and probably always knew it. I can only really talk about my part of it, up to a point, but he’s been a very good father — and mother — to Billie.
All joking aside, was there a time when you truly thought that his being gay was your fault? Yes, I did. [Laughs] Yes, I did.
You must’ve had gay friends telling you that it wasn’t possible. Of course, but I was devastated at that time. I didn’t know what to think, quite honestly. Look, smart people are not always as smart as they’d like to be. I don’t know if I blamed myself for his turning gay, but I believed I drove him away. And what’s more painful — making him gay or driving him away? It’s similar.
How does Bryan feel about the spotlight that your show puts on him? Does he like the attention? I don’t think he probably likes it that much. I try to keep it down to a dull roar, but some of that material like the stuff about not reading that part of the warning on the label — “I thought it said heavy machinery, not homosexuality!” — it’s just too good. But I try to leave him alone as best I can, and I did offer him the choice of my taking that stuff out.
In the September 2009 issue of Out, you participated in its monthly Can I Be Blunt? column by sharing 10 things that gay men should know about straight women. One of those things was, “We don’t really care that John Travolta is gay.” I know you and Travolta go way back, so let’s get really blunt here: Does his legal team have any business demanding Gawker remove a recent post suggesting that he’s given blow jobs?
Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.
Well, Fran Drescher made headlines earlier this year when she revealed that her ex-husband was gay. Oh, has Fran Drescher come out and said that? You know, sometimes, after a certain age, you marry your friend. Frequently, gay men are much better friends to women than other women.
Two myths dispelled. Babblers insisted that Jake had sold his home when he supposedly moved in with Reese. Now confirmed that he did not. Others here insisted Jake and Heath were not really friends after Brokeback. Im more sure than ever that Jake had a huge crush on him. How could he not. The man was sex walking.
Now that LAOD is pretty much over its time to do a post mortum on the failed marketing campaign. Did they really think the option of seeing Jake and Anne naked would entice us. Did they forget that we had already seen Annes boobs in BBM and Jake frontal and rear in Jarhead. Yeah the frontal was blurred but digitally enhanced versions are out there. And as for the booty in Jarhead not only did we see it but he shakes it enticingly for us. Need to see it again? Thats what the internet is for and in the privacy of your own home.
I won’t just be scrapping for the next job. Maybe I’ll create something for myself.
Jake, you know about that important advice for all writers? Write about something you know! So I expect your first script about gay cook real soon! Looking forward to it!
Atticus do you remember the German Shepherd who was almost starved to death and ate rocks and dirt for 5 weeks to survive? He has a message for you. ♥♥♥
About the LAOD marketing, I thought the emphasis on nudity got a little silly. It's an R-rated movie, stop making such a bfd out of Anne's boobs and Jake's ass. The same way all the emphasis on Jake's abs looked silly for PoP. Hopefully, for Source Code he can talk about the actual movie and get people excited about that.
"(disclaimer: I'm pretty no1curr about Jake and I like TSwift's albums, sue me) Even if Swiftenhoolahay is real, if they have only been dating for a few weeks there would be no reason for them to go public, and there would most certainly be no reason for tacky photo ops with Maggie's kids or for "inside sources" suggesting Gwyneth set them up. It's all so totally fake (not fake as in untrue, fake as in ~Hollywood~)"
Why go forward with a fake relationship? Jake and Taylor benefit from all these news stories on their "relationship":
1. Jake wants to perpetuate this idea that he is a bachelor on a quest to find the woman he can finally settle down with. By doing this he will continue to get cast for certain roles, can demand a certain paycheck. He likes being famous. He wants to remain famous, even if it means selling himself down the river.
2. People were starting to question his past relationship with Reese Witherspoon. How could they be together so long and they never got serious? Reports were that he was pushing her to get more serious but she was not ready. Notice how she met someone right away? They live together, are apparently going to marry, and she talks openly of her interest in having more kids. It doesn't mesh.
3. Taylor has a new album to sell.
4. According to Chicago Sun-Times reporter Bill Zwecker she wants to move into acting. After a small cameo in the box-office bomb Valentine's Day she is looking for opportunities to star in movies.
5. Jake has long been considered as the answer to the Toothy Tile blind items.
Lastly, do you think a 29-year old man would have interest in a serious relationship with a 20-year old girl who writes songs about boys at school? Their outings together involve apple picking, giggling over lattes in random coffee shops, and getting scoops of ice cream.
Fake Love: The Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift Cover Story
Let's discuss US Weekly's cover story last week on the Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift love story. Between the incredible details of their Thanksgiving holiday together and the exclusive picture of Taylor walking with his sister Maggie and his niece, there could be no bigger example of a staged relationship. Let's walk through this together, shall we?
Let me start by explaining the role of a celebrity publicist. Their job is to continuously contact magazine editors to suggest story angles on their client. Their job is to keep the tabloids and all the entertainment shows consistently interested in the celebrity paying their salary. They are salesman and their single mission is to get the entertainment trades to write the story they exhaustively push. The Editors of Entertainment Weekly, for example, do not choose Taylor Swift as the entertainer of the year out of nowhere. Her publicist lobbies the editors. They are getting lobbied 24/7.
Let's get back to the magazine. In this case their publicists obviously provided all the cheesy quotes...The magazine said there were about a dozen people at a Thanksgiving dinner at Maggie's house in New York. Between Maggie, her husband Peter, Jake, Taylor, his niece, his parents, and a few random friends or relatives there was at least one source willing to call US Weekly and report back that Taylor was stirring pots on the stove? Add to this US Weekly was the only outlet with access to an exclusive photo of her walking with Maggie and her daughter through New York City? This means a publicist agreed to give this specific magazine an exclusive interview. I am sure the added value was photo "proof" of her visit.
The Editors of Entertainment Weekly, for example, do not choose Taylor Swift as the entertainer of the year out of nowhere. Her publicist lobbies the editors. They are getting lobbied 24/7.
Duh! Taylor Swift entertaining? LOL, not on this planet!
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader $25,000,000 $25,000,000 The Tourist $18,000,000 $18,000,000 Tangled $14,500,000 $115,563,873 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I $8,700,000 $257,888,405 Unstoppable (2010) $3,800,000 $74,321,942 Burlesque $3,400,000 $32,774,167 Black Swan $3,300,000 $5,579,174 Love and Other Drugs $3,000,000 $27,648,427 Due Date $2,700,000 $95,038,503 Megamind $2,400,000 $140,092,138
In a 2004 interview with The Advocate, actress-author Carrie Fisher recalled her teenage crushes on the gay men who danced backup for her mother, Debbie Reynolds.
Man, that AmoreMagazine article really laid it out there. It was like a "PR Showmances for Dummies" book. Even babblers and fangirls should be able to understand it, lol.
Ugh. IA. What happened to all that stuff about not talking about about Heath because it was no one's business and how Heath would be "rolling his eyes" if he talked about him.
What makes people roll their eyes is listening to his crap about "intimacy" while he's staging photo ops and feeding tabloids stories about his showmance.
"PoP did well overseas whereas underperformed at home."
Yes, POP made money overseas. I wonder if they are going to give it another chance and make a sequel.I just hope it won0t make it in a 3,4 or 5 episode like Harry Potter, though. That wouldn't be good for Jake. But 1 movie or 2 more could give Jake enough money to not be worried about possible future flops.
I also think that Jake's comments about Heath and the BBM filming time are vomit inducing. Heath wasn't a convenient subject to talk about when he died surronded by drugs and the memory of the sex scenes in the tent were fresh, but now, long time after the Oscar and the cease of the gossips, he starts to speak about him in the most crangy way? It seems Jake is only able to share intimate thought only when time suits him. I don't think he is lying and that in reality he didn't really liked Heath but... it seems all very calculated,IMO
You are all to hard on Jake. He was always very supportive of BBM and talked about Heath in interviews admiringly even before Heath died. I think he is now more comfortable to talk about him than shortly after his death. Heath, otoh, after BBM not once mentioned him and rarely BBM. If you all read their post BBM interviews you all know it. If everything Jake does bothers you, then stop following what he does and him. Simple.
and the exclusive picture of Taylor walking with his sister Maggie and his niece, there could be no bigger example of a staged relationship.
Tell us about it. They did one person with two different people in three different poses and a wardrobe addition so quick we didn't even get to turn and show them our better sides.
Note that in LAOD interviews PoP wasn't mentioned while Jake's other films were. That's not by accident. It was a misstep to take that role, and clearly Jake and his people want to move on and not dwell on it.
-adjective, Acronym for "PHOtoshopped Beyond All Recognition." A play on the the more popular acronym FUBAR: "Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition," PHOBAR refers to an image, usually a photo of a person, that has been retouched and airbrushed with digital image manipulation software on a computer so significantly, that the person in the photo is barely recognizable.
Did you notice Jake only talks about Heath in relation to BBM? Every time he talks about him it's either about filming or promoting with him, like there're no things to share other than work and no, I don't think it's because Jake is a private person. Jake and Heath's friendship was and continues to be exaggerated by the media, had Heath lived this would've become clear to fans.
"Bearding Beyond All Recognition." When a talented valued actor has been closeted and is bearding so significantly and obviously that his former self is barely recognizable.
But if it did well in mumbers after all, why it won't be a sequel? Money is money in America in the rest of the world
If you look at b.o. mojo, it did well overseas. But I read it does have a negative effect on possible sequels because it underperformed at home. IDK why. Lara Croft got a sequel and the whole numbers were less than for PoP, I'm talking about the final whole sum. Check box office mojo.
Why would you say that, could have been 100 - 200 marketing. you don't know so please do not compare, BTW LAOD is the closest film in the top ten to making it's production cost back in the least amount of screens + it's R rated, not what I would call a flop.
All I am saying is you don't know so why compare, also PoP was the highest grossing video game movie ever, I know it wasn't profitable but not the total flop you seem to imply.
Gotta give it to Natalie Portman, the Box Office numbers for Swan are incredible. Carrying the film on her shoulders so successfully is grand. Who'd have thought?
LAOD will open wide internationally pretty soon and it'll probably make around 50 million dollars + do decently on dvd sales. So, it's ok for a movie that received mostly bad reviews and is Rrated on top. I mean, c'mon.
If you read the LAOD thread in Oscarwatch, you'll see that most praise Jake's and Anne's performances but find the movie pretty average and wonder why the actors signed on, how they could like the script.
I think Jake saw Blood Diamond and was desperate to work with Zwick and probably underrated the flaws. And Anne came along because Zwick and Jake begged as we now know.
Actually if you read the reviews they are not that bad (you should read some of the reviews for The Tourist now they are bad) and 90% of the reviewers though Jake and Anne done a good job. There were a couple that didn't like Jake and a couple that didn't Anne but tht happens with almost every film.
So, PoP and LAOD were hits after all. Waisted time reeking and jayloring, then?
Hits? Stop being sarcastic! All I'm saying is, is that PoP did underperform OBVIOUSL, but wasn't a total flop like some claim. And LAOD even though the reviews weren't as bad as The Tourist are still a 43% on RT, people take a look and say, maybe I'll wait for the dvd. And many know about RT to check it out. It doesn't matter that Anne and Jake did good jobs. The film's also R rated. Nude- and sex scenes are another turn off for many. I guess despite all that it could still have done better, but if it got mostly raves I bet the box office numbers would be better.
Bottom Line: No, Jake's not a real box office draw. In his case good reviews would help a lot.
PoP was a huge disappointment to Disney, to Bruckheimer and obviously to Jake since he and his publicists are pretending it never happened. idk get all this talk about maybe it broke even with DVD sales or it was the highest grossing video game (no one cares about that, not even gamers). PoP was a mistake for Jake, he knows it and everyone should be glad there won't be a sequel.
According to estimates, the Mike Newell directed film starring Jake Gyllenhaal took in $15.05 million worth of revenue from DVD and Blu-Ray sales for the week ending September 19th, 2010, following its release on September 14th, 2010.
The good news is that Jerry Bruckheimer produced action epic was a much bigger hit overseas, and DVD sales of "Persia" should be able to easily surpass $100 million worldwide, of which, only about $28-$36 million will come from domestic revenue.
Whether PoP was a total flop or not ot whether it made or lost money doesn't matter. It did nothing to help Jake's career. If anything it hurt. Most likely it is the reason we are watching the charade that is taking place now.
Anonymous said... “You’re always wondering how long this will last,” he said. “It’s a piece of being an actor. There’s always someone more talented or younger than you. “But I also like to write. In years to come, I think that will expand. I won’t just be scrapping for the next job. Maybe I’ll create something for myself.”
Ryan Gosling has compared his new film to his most famous performance in the 2004 romance The Notebook.
Blue Valentine stars Gosling opposite Michelle Williams and tells the story of a couple's marriage over a number of years.
"I think that Blue Valentine is a nice companion piece to The Notebook, because I feel like both are true," Gosling explained to MTV News. "That they're both possible, and the truth is somewhere in the middle.
"But I feel like Blue Valentine kind of picks up where The Notebook leaves off," the actor revealed.
Gosling added that his new film shows a different side to romance and instead depicts what happens after people find love.
If anything it hurt. Most likely it is the reason we are watching the charade that is taking place now.
Jersey Tom you have and will continue to equate every up and down of Jake's career, be it a movie that should do well but don't, or choosing a bad role or a bad movie to say it's because he's bearding. And you continue to take all of it as a personal attack against you. You are not a good person to make a good register of thing according to Jake. It's too personal for you. You will only have positive things to say or look at his situation as the cup half full half empty, only if he comes out as gay.
Then everythings alright for you. Your assesments of his life and Career is too Bias.
Regardless of the worldwide box office, Jake became a joke in Hollywood due to POP. If it did poorly in the US market the first time, it will only do worse at sequel time. No financier in his right mind would fund a 2nd one. As for LAOD, movies are not made to just break even. They are made to earn a profit. Lots of profit. And it did not rejuvenate Jake's career or redeem him post POP, which he surely needs.
Flop or not, embarassing to Jake or not, IF there is a Pop Sequel, Jake is contractually bound to do it.
OT: Saw 2 movies this weekend, 'The King's Speech' all 3 leads were outstanding, this is going to win Best Picture for sure. Colin, Geoffrey and Helena are all going to get nominations, an absolutely brilliant movie.
Saw Black Swan, the story was absolutely cheesey I thought but Natalie Portman was an absolute BLAST as Nina. She's gonna get nominated for sure
That's why he probably learned how to carry babies the right way.
Ramona is his niece; she has parents who take care of her, Jake is not her dad. I have nieces and nephews that I've held and believe me, unless someone has a baby or works with them like a nurse they don't look as comfortable or easily able to hold their hands behind the butt and between the legs like Jake does. Just sayin.

Some of you will write anything to fit your storyline. Any idiot who has held a kid for more than five minutes knows how to hold a kid in many positions.
You should also note the kid has tubes so there was a limited ways to hold the child and he was probably told how to hold it.
You can tell she doesn't have kids, she doesn't know what to do with it!
Not quite. Here is Anne with another baby: holding right"
I think she may have been scared to hold little Payton (?) because that baby had a few operations behind her. Jake was more courageous. I think he's a natural born talent with kids. Doesn't mean he is hiding his own somewhere imo.
7:38 You are so full of shit it aitn't even funny. I have nieces and nephews and been around them since birth and i handle babies in the same matter.
Remember in early '07 when Jake was promoting Zodiac? He mentioned being around Ramona a lot and joked about asking Maggie to hand over the baby when she became a little nervous holding her, he also mention Ramona spit up on him and that her pooped looked and smelled like carrots because she was eating organic baby food.
So yeah he and I have normal interactions with our nieces and nephews unlike you who suspect that you have neither.
Jake said he doesn't have kids, his quotes were talked about on your sister site, OMG, LOL!!!
My friends who had a baby always bathed the baby together, because the mother once almost dropped the baby and was so insecure since then, so the dad had to be around all the time, he was somehow more capable. Both were first time parents, but he did it all more confidentaly.
Troll's getting upset again. Can't spell, writing is frantic and laughs at their own jokes ("LOL!!!"). Troll: Take your meds but most of all respect other people's posts.
I'm waiting for this weeks tabloid covers for the fairytale live story on Jake celebrating his true loves 21st birthday. The story will start off about how terribly they missed each other while Jake was in Australia and he made sure his private plane had her waiting for him in LA when his private plane got in. Then the story will tell us that Jake planned the ultimate party that was romantic, fun, family oriented, close famous friends, cool and unusual now that she is legal. The will be perfect couple and try to have a multi aged fan friendly image. It's just become so much fun to just watch Jake helping himself looking like laughingstock For every gushing story about them in People or Just Jared, there are 2 to 3 stories and a million comments that are negative about them.
Jealous that Jake not only has a niece but has cousins in Brooklyn/PA with kids, something you will never have.
You are the one that needs meds, pissed that Jake actually said he doesn't have kids and proudly displays the silly bandtz bracelet that his niece gave him and yes he conirms it is from her.
I believe the word is confirms.
Anyway, I'm afraid I don't take Jake's every word as gospel truth.
Politicians, business executives, athletes and celebrities who have something to hide all have something in common.
They can find it within themselves to lie. It's part of self-preservation.
Sometimes vague statements are made that can have several different meanings; I think this is done to ease the conscience and pacify themselves.
It is common knowledge that the Golden Globes are bought and paid for. Remember the stink during Brothers when Toby got one and it came out that all the nominating committee members got gifts from him. They had to give them back. It would be better for Jake if he is not nominated for a GG. It will be just one more staged PR item to add to the stink pile.
Troll is upset because articles are being written about what a piss poor job Jake's PR did this time. So staged they will be used in classes to teach PR how not to do things. All they have accomplished is to convince the remaining few non believers that Jake is gay.
UV is "sick" of James Franco - no wonder, seeing other actors in Jakes age getting rave reviews, awards and not being interested in playing the HW game of being a "Movie star" parading around their "girlfriends".
^ Oh gawd. Just went over to GiggleBabble to see what UV is snorting about these days. It is truly a nauseating experience to spend more than 60 seconds reading that crap.
Although it's comedy gold to see all the sycophantic brown nosers endlessly gushing/agreeing/fawning/complimenting UV (who seems to think her sh*t doesn't stink).
The will be perfect couple and try to have a multi aged fan friendly image.
Yeah, Swifty is trying to expand her fan base and make herself look more "adult." I don't know what Jake thinks he's accomplishing other than to look desperate for hetero publicity while making a fool of himself.
So staged they will be used in classes to teach PR how not to do things.
god, it's unbelievable how obviously staged this whole thing is, isn't it?
Aww, your job sucks, doesn't it? Have you finished writing the copy for TayTay's Christmas-themed every little girl's dream 21st birthday party yet? Will she be wearing a crown? Will the fairytale couple dance while their admiring "close friends" and "unnamed source" and "insiders" circle them in a symbolic hug of good wishes while showering them with rose petals?
I bet you in about 15-20 years time there'll be revelations about the BBM cast, H, J, A, M. Their relationships (with each other) and individual stories. Before that I hope M, A and our very own famewhore will have decent careers that we can follow.
Personally I'm debating whether, according to his PR/People/tabloids, Jake for Christmas will get her a frilly heart-shaped diamond engagement ring or a promise ring, like in high school.
TayTay's Christmas-themed every little girl's dream 21st birthday party..wearing a crown..the fairytale couple dance..circle them in a symbolic hug of good wishes while showering them with rose petals
I bet Jake will take her out to dinner and they'll sit next to a clean window with no other patrons in the way of the secret pap or mob of paps (pick one) clear shots. This of course will be on the night or two nights before her birthday. On her actual birthday it'll be a party that Jake attended (no pics) and paid a great deal of attention towards her, according to sources.
I feel sorry for Jake. I hope he grows up real soon and that the turning point will have as little pain as possible. I do like him, after all.
Sad troll. You don't fit in anywhere! I suggest you go hang out at in the Just Jared comments section - you can 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' all day long.
There is so much wrong with what you wrote, R, that all I'll say is this: Jake and Tay are definitely friendly. The twosome may not be getting as hot as that coffee they love so much—yet, at least—but there's chemistry.
Is that you UV? your shit does stink...we can smell in from over here
I thought I smelled something. Thought it was a dead animal or a skunk. Pheww.... Times like these make me wish I can't smell things five football fields away.
Dear Ted: You mentioned that Toothy's sexual preference is very well-known in the business and that he is also very well-known for having famous beards. If the mags and gossip columns (including yours) know these facts, why do they continue to print stories about his current and/or past romances knowing that they are totally fake? «Oldest ‹Older 1401 – 1600 of 2137 Newer› Newest»Actually David, he is.

LOL!
And, good news: Franco told us he’ll have a gay sex scene in the film ("Yeah!"), but when we pressed for details, he joked, “You don’t get that exclusive.”
:)
Weird that there aren't more rumors about Anne Hathaway, because, according to a female friend of mine who slept with her, she is gay. Meaning both hosts of this year's Oscars are closeted.
Maybe I’ll create something for myself.
Jake, I hope you'll hang out with Anne and Franco.
Just because Anne allegedly had sex with a woman doesn't mean she is closeted gay. She could be bi or just was bi curious.
Jake, I hope you'll hang out with Anne and Franco.
Jake doesn't need to be like Anne or James. He needs to be himself, sans the latent wish for famewhoring.
Hanging out with nice, talented and ambitious colleagues has nothing to do with "Jake not being himself".
I'm sure Jake is hanging out with Anne. :)
^^Fisher Priceless
But why marry? That part is so sad.

Awww, poor babblers :)
Im more sure than ever that Jake had a huge crush on him.
Duh!
The man was sex walking.
And now we got him!
Let's hope so :)
Jake frontal and rear in Jarhead.
*yawn* I see Daddy's junk every day. It's useless if I can't eat it, chew it or chase it.
Ouch, ouch, ouch! Silly dog!

It would be funny if Ryan and Jake were in a movie together because a gosling is a baby goose and a jake is a teenage male turkey.

Awwww, there is nothing better than a real life happy end story :)

Didn't he tell GQ that he was kind of "enamored with Heath." I know I read that.
Interesting comment at ONTD. Even people who don't necessarily think Jake is gay can spot obvious PR stunts.

Fake Love: The Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift Cover Story
AmoreMagazine
Let's see how long this absurd charade goes on.

I'm curious how it'll do overseas. PoP did well overseas whereas underperformed at home.

'There was an intimacy that we all shared on that film - I'd never experienced anything like it.
Just shut up, Jake.
Man, that AmoreMagazine article really laid it out there. It was like a "PR Showmances for Dummies" book. Even babblers and fangirls should be able to understand it, lol.
Just shut up, Jake.
Ugh.
Simple.
I wonder if they are going to give it another chance and make a sequel.
PoP is a flop, why would they consider a sequel?
10:59 AM - if talking freely and sincerely about Jake bothers you, then GB and IHJ are right places for you. Simple.
and the exclusive picture of Taylor walking with his sister Maggie and his niece, there could be no bigger example of a staged relationship.
Tell us about it. They did one person with two different people in three different poses and a wardrobe addition so quick we didn't even get to turn and show them our better sides.
LOL 11:16 AM, I'm 100 percent sure you don't mean it. You're just a transparent stirrer. Busted!
PoP is a flop, why would they consider a sequel?
It underperformed domestically, but did well internationally. That said, because it underperformed in North A. there definitely won't be a sequel.
the celebrity paying their salary.
Oh my god, Jake pays his PR for this fake-ass bearding shit??!
Note that in LAOD interviews PoP wasn't mentioned while Jake's other films were. That's not by accident. It was a misstep to take that role, and clearly Jake and his people want to move on and not dwell on it.
Pathetic troll is frustrated and trying to stir up shit again.
Urban Dictionary Word of the Day
December 12: PHOBAR
-adjective, Acronym for "PHOtoshopped Beyond All Recognition." A play on the the more popular acronym FUBAR: "Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition," PHOBAR refers to an image, usually a photo of a person, that has been retouched and airbrushed with digital image manipulation software on a computer so significantly, that the person in the photo is barely recognizable.
"Pathetic troll is frustrated and trying to stir up shit again."
Yeah, wouldn't be the first time.
Oh my god, Jake pays his PR for this fake-ass bearding shit??!
We would do it for free!!
Jake and Heath's friendship was and continues to be exaggerated by the media, had Heath lived this would've become clear to fans.
Bullshit.
JAKE TALKED and talks about his friendship with Heath, media has nothing to do with that - as you know.
I don't think it's because Jake is a private person
Duh!!
FAUXBAR:
"Bearding Beyond All Recognition." When a talented valued actor has been closeted and is bearding so significantly and obviously that his former self is barely recognizable.
"It underperformed domestically, but did well internationally. That said, because it underperformed in North A. there definitely won't be a sequel"
But if it did well in mumbers after all, why it won't be a sequel? Money is money in America in the rest of the world
We would do it for free!!
And the results would be costly!
But if it did well in mumbers after all, why it won't be a sequel?
PoP = flop = studio lost money on PoP.
FAUXBAR: Bearding Beyond All Recognition.
*cough*
But if it did well in mumbers after all, why it won't be a sequel? Money is money in America in the rest of the world
If you look at b.o. mojo, it did well overseas. But I read it does have a negative effect on possible sequels because it underperformed at home. IDK why. Lara Croft got a sequel and the whole numbers were less than for PoP, I'm talking about the final whole sum. Check box office mojo.
No one bother me. My bf Courage and me are sleeping in.
Domestic: $90,759,676 27.1%
+ Foreign: $244,394,962 72.9%
= Worldwide Gross: $335,154,638
Studio gets 55-60% = 200 millions
Cost:
200 million for production
100 million for marketing
= 300 million
200 - 300 = 100 million loss
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Domestic: $131,168,070 47.7%

Studio gets 55-60% = 164 million
Production Budget: $115 million
164 - 115 = 49 million profit - x million for marketing = small profit?
Tomb Raider = making cost= 115 million dollars.

^^Not that much of a diffrence in profit if you ask me. Or am I wrong
12:21 - I haven't seen your post.
PoP = 100 million loss
Tomb Raider = break even or small profit
Difference in profit is 100 million
How much were Tomb Raider's marketing costs?
Can't find info, but I would say 50 million or less.
Why would you say that, could have been 100 - 200 marketing. you don't know so please do not compare, BTW LAOD is the closest film in the top ten to making it's production cost back in the least amount of screens + it's R rated, not what I would call a flop.
Production budget was $115 million - there is no way they spent 100 or more millions on marketing.
BTW LAOD is the closest film in the top ten to making it's production cost back in the least amount of screens
That has zero importance, only profit matters.
All I am saying is you don't know so why compare, also PoP was the highest grossing video game movie ever, I know it wasn't profitable but not the total flop you seem to imply.
Love and Other Drugs 27,648,427
LOAD made 16,2 million so far.
1:06 Well I am sure by next week it will be in profit in the US and then it opens worldwide so...
Gotta give it to Natalie Portman, the Box Office numbers for Swan are incredible. Carrying the film on her shoulders so successfully is grand. Who'd have thought?
I know it wasn't profitable but not the total flop you seem to imply.
What do you call $100 million loss? Small flop?
Oh I am sure Disney made most it's money back with DVD sales and other things.
LAOD will open wide internationally pretty soon and it'll probably make around 50 million dollars + do decently on dvd sales. So, it's ok for a movie that received mostly bad reviews and is Rrated on top. I mean, c'mon.
Oh I am sure Disney made most it's money back with DVD sales and other things.
Not likely.
Weren't hits after all.
See 1:26 thats why a dislike commenting on this blog, you cannot have a decent discussion without people turning to the same old same old.
^^Weren't hits after all.
Sorry, I didn't realize it was a typo.
All I'm saying is, is that PoP did underperform OBVIOUSL, but wasn't a total flop like some claim.
PoP was a total flop - 100 million loss after cinema release is a total flop.
Oh I am sure Disney made most it's money back with DVD sales and other things.
Not likely.
Not likely? Do you happen to know PoP dvd sales numbers?
Doesn't matter anyway, it's water under the brigde now.
10.000.000 DVDs x $10 = $100 million
I'm sure PoP won't sell nowhere near 10.000.000 copies and studio will make less than $10 per copy.
Bon appetit, troll!

“You’re always wondering how long this will last,” he said. “It’s a piece of being an actor. There’s always someone more talented or younger than you. “But I also like to write. In years to come, I think that will expand. I won’t just be scrapping for the next job. Maybe I’ll create something for myself.”
At this point he certainly may have to.
"...Maybe I’ll create something for myself...”
He is already doing that.Isn't Jaylor some kind of fan-fiction?
It did nothing to help Jake's career.
Tom, I'm pretty sure no one's arguing with that.
LOL!!!!
Duncan Jones doesn't soud too enthusiastic about Source Code.
Hmm :(
^^^^ PoP and Source Code - Indiana Jones AGAIN?
Gosling: 'New film is companion to Notebook'

OT: James Franco wins NY Film Critics Awards for Best Actor for 127 Hours--Natalie Portman wins for Best Actress.
Congratulations! :)
Your assesments of his life and Career is too Bias.
Could be, but even you have NOTHING GOOD to say about Jake's current career and "private life".
^5:21pm just got pwned LOL!!
I'm hungry! Somebody buy me a steak!
Jack, Lureen and Bobby
That baby is adorable. It has the same beautiful blue eyes like Jake.
Jake holds that baby like a pro. Just saying.
I'm hungry! Somebody buy me a steak!
No wonder Jake can't afford new clothes! lol
Jake holds that baby like a pro. Just saying.
I'll kick daddy where it hurts! Just saying.
Jake and Anne will probably get GG noms for LAOD, and LAOD will probably get one too
Flop or not, embarassing to Jake or not, IF there is a Pop Sequel, Jake is contractually bound to do it.
Jake holds that baby like a pro. Just saying.
^^
He has a niece he's very close to. That's why he probably learned how to carry babies the right way.
Anne held the baby's hand and foot like a pro. ;)
Just sayin.
Anne held the baby's hand and foot like a pro.
LOL. You can tell she doesn't have kids, she doesn't know what to do with it!
I was cupping the foot so it wouldn't leave a print anywhere.

^^confidently
You are so full of shit
Troll's getting upset again. Can't spell, writing is frantic and laughs at their own jokes ("LOL!!!"). Troll: Take your meds but most of all respect other people's posts.
My mom would get sick at the sight and smell of our baby shit so my dad had to change all of us!
IF there is a Pop Sequel, Jake is contractually bound to do it.
I don't understand why you think there would be a PoP sequel. I haven't heard any talk of one.
Politicians, business executives, athletes and celebrities who have something to hide all have something in common.
Actually, this can apply to anyone. But what I'm referring to is lying in the print or video media.
Trolly, I'm jealous of your awesome intelligence. Please display it some more.
YAY! I knew you could do it trolly. You have exceeded all expectations by displaying more of your soopa intelligence.
BTW, how come no one here bothered to comment that Jake and Anne may be nominated for GG awards
umm, trolly try and read posts other than your own (it helps prevent you looking like a fool):
Jake and Anne will probably get GG noms for LAOD, and LAOD will probably get one too

Poor trolly, too busy frantically typing our tard responses full of errors and mistakes, while laughing at their own lame "jokes".
All they have accomplished is to convince the remaining few non believers that Jake is gay.
laughing at their own lame "jokes".
Aww they can't help it. The self-laughtrack is standard equipment included in a trolly's hearingvoices package.
UV is "sick" of James Franco
Duh! :)
Jake's PR said...
*sulking*
Aww, your job sucks, doesn't it? Have you finished writing the copy for TayTay's Christmas-themed every little girl's dream 21st birthday party yet? Will she be wearing a crown? Will the fairytale couple dance while their admiring "close friends" and "unnamed source" and "insiders" circle them in a symbolic hug of good wishes while showering them with rose petals?
I bet you in about 15-20 years time there'll be revelations about the BBM cast, H, J, A, M. Their relationships (with each other) and individual stories.
Before that I hope M, A and our very own famewhore will have decent careers that we can follow.
the fairytale couple
Personally I'm debating whether, according to his PR/People/tabloids, Jake for Christmas will get her a frilly heart-shaped diamond engagement ring or a promise ring, like in high school.
TayTay's Christmas-themed every little girl's dream 21st birthday party..wearing a crown..the fairytale couple dance..circle them in a symbolic hug of good wishes while showering them with rose petals
I ♥ it! ♥ ♥ ♥ It's like ♥ ♥ ♥ Heaven!♥ ♥ ♥
Will the fairytale couple dance while their admiring "close friends" and "unnamed source" and "insiders" circle them
LMAO. A source close to the couple will surely let us know via US Weekly!
When you feel sorry for Jake just remember his words: "It bothers me a little that there is so much interest", and you'll wish to kick his ass :)
Trolly, keep your day job. Comprehension (of all kinds), spelling, grammar, debate, and evaluating people are not your strong point.
Does that mean you are leaving trolly? We'll miss your ADHD inspired rants!
Sad troll. You don't fit in anywhere! I suggest you go hang out at in the Just Jared comments section - you can 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' all day long.
Poor trolly, his head will EXPLODE because no one likes Jake and his new beard! LMAO
There is so much wrong with what you wrote, R, that all I'll say is this: Jake and Tay are definitely friendly. The twosome may not be getting as hot as that coffee they love so much—yet, at least—but there's chemistry.
Huh?!
"Tooth's team would never ask him to come out, that would be PR all right but it would also end his career."
Yep, troll's head will explode soon! :)
Trolly, don't you have a big "file" of emails that you claim are from/to Ted and that you were going to put up on your own blog. LOL!!
Send us the link soon, darlin'
lol
Is that you UV? your shit does stink...we can smell in from over here
I still say Jake should date Octomom. He could throw BT into the herd and no one would notice.
So Jake and Taylor have chemistry, like he would fucking know. He sure is pushing them the tool.
And TT isn't coming out, duh!
Is that you UV? your shit does stink...we can smell in from over here
I thought I smelled something. Thought it was a dead animal or a skunk. Pheww.... Times like these make me wish I can't smell things five football fields away.
From Friday's Bitch Back:
Dear Ted:
You mentioned that Toothy's sexual preference is very well-known in the business and that he is also very well-known for having famous beards. If the mags and gossip columns (including yours) know these facts, why do they continue to print stories about his current and/or past romances knowing that they are totally fake? Do you and others get paid to publish these or is it a way of keeping his legal team off your back while you continue to out him albeit through his B.V.?
—Totally in to TT, Gay or Straight
Dear Too Technical:
Because, speaking for Team Truth, we love T2 so much we're willing to throw him a bone or two when it comes to whichever gal is by his side that week. It's goss, after all, and that's what the Awful Truth is. We've got no plans to out the dude. That's his own biz.
