Everything with Heath and Jake is looking increasingly misty, like it happened fifty years ago, not five. I'd forgotten most of that Oprah appearance. They were incredibly cute together on her show. I watched the Inception interviews and it's revealing to compare them to the Oprah one. There are some nice interactions among the Inception cast but nothing like Jake and Heath. Jake and Heath looked at each other a lot -- eyechecks all the time -- and had a quiet communication shorthand between them. Different from the backslapping you usually see with actor pals on pr junkets.

I think this has to do with them being opposites (personality and looks wise) that strangely fit. Both are handsome men but have their share of physical flaws(?), like Jake's head is too big, his eyes are often too bulgy, Heath's head and eyes were too small, yet optically they made an almost perfect pair which IMO didn't happen with either of them and their SO's, Jake still has time though. Ang sure struck gold with them.

Senior District Judge Vaughn Walker's office said late Wednesday afternoon that he will rule on his stay in the Proposition 8 case on Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon California time.
Last week, Walker declared that the voter-approved amendment to the state constitution that barred same-sex marriages in California is unconstitutional. He said it violates the U.S. Constitution’s guarantees of equal protection and due process. He also issued a temporary “stay” – or delay of the enforcement of his decision.
Walker could issue a more extended stay or he could lift the stay and allow same-sex marriages to resume in California.

Exclusive: Fox Searchlight Circling Anne Hathaway's 'Lola Versus'
Fox Searchlight is in talks to distribute "Lola Versus," a romantic comedy from director Daryl Wein, and Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway is negotiating to star, individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
Wein co-wrote the script with his "Breaking Upwards" collaborator Zoe Lister-Jones, who will also co-star.
Hathaway recently starred in "Valentine's Day" and "Alice in Wonderland," and is currently filming the romantic comedy "One Day" with Jim Sturgess. The "Rachel Getting Married" star has been earning awards buzz for her next movie, Ed Zwick's "Love and Other Drugs," a Fox 2000/New Regency romantic dramedy that pairs the talented young actress with Jake Gyllenhaal.
I find it strange that there are so few tweets about LAOD after yesterday's screener on the Fox lot.

Thomas Hardy. What I like is that he can be a bad-ass motherfreaker in one film and a sweet and tender beauty in the next. That's the kind of range Heath had; it makes an actor irresistible to me. TH was recently in a play in Chicago that was written for him and directed by (FoH) Philip Seymour Hoffman. And he waved his dick around on stage. (Tom, not cuddlebear PSH.)

Couldn't agree more. I can't think of any good reason for actors and actresses showing their genitalia in movies (other than porn) or theatre.
I see nothing wrong with full nudity unless it is done purely for exploitation.
Besides, I took the dick waiving to be a metaphor for Jake's need to take a risk on something, in his work or life, instead of playing it so straight and safe. And I mean straight in every sense of the word, not just his sexual image.
Total nudity isn't wrong, just unnecessary.

Federal Judge Vaughn Walker ruled today to remove the temporary stay on his Prop 8 ruling, which means same-sex couples in California can start getting married again. It's 2008 all over again!
CAN GAYS GET MARRIED NOW? Yes, after August 18 when Walker's ruling formally takes effect. In his original Prop 8 ruling, Walker said California officials cannot deny marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Then came the temporary stay, but that's gone now.
ARE GAYS GETTING MARRIED NOW? Have you seen the lines? Los Angeles and San Francisco were among the places letting same-sex couples fill out paperwork in anticipation of the ruling. Now they get to formally submit it. But they'll have to wait until Aug. 18 to secure their marriage licenses.
WHAT ABOUT YES ON 8'S APPEAL? That's still moving forward to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which will initially be reviewed by a small panel of judges before moving to an en banc review (though in the Ninth Circuit, given its size, that doesn't include all judges on the circuit). But in the meantime, Walker's initial ruling is the law of the land.

We seriously don't have time to run down the what-ifs of this extensive list only to say Ryan Reynolds is apparently the front-runner for the gig (how many times have we heard that someone was a "frontrunner"); that Chris Pine's involvement may depend on his schedule for the forthcoming Jack Ryan reboot "Moscow," which is shooting later this year, and that Zac Efron may actually be a more likely candidate than we suspect given that his production shingle (yes, he has one) snagged the remake rights for "Snabba Cash" earlier this year.
The last time we saw this many young actors was for the casting of Marc Webb's "Spider-Man" and for Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".....oh yeah, what's going with that anyway?
