Dear Ted: Has Cristiano Ronaldo he ever been a B.V.? He isn't really a household name in the U.S, but after the World Cup, he's getting there. Plus, this new revelation of a "secret child" is causing me to raise an eyebrow. —DoubleUM
Dear Futball Fella: While there have been some famous sports folks who have been B.V.s (not to mention some British hotties, of course), Cristiano ain't one of them. But now that he's making headlines across the pond, who knows what the future holds. As for now his dirty laundry is pretty much out there.
Dear Ted: Chace Crawford was recently on vacation with his sister and Tony Romo. This being his second vacation of the year being the third wheel, I think it's time his agents set him up with a nice girlfriend. He obviously can't find one on his own. What is the hold-up? —G
Dear Flying Solo: Uh, not sure where you've been but Chace has bigger problems to worry about than finding a new gal-pal to fool around with. Didn't you see La Lohan's court date? Judges are cracking down on celebs, and that was in T-town. Texas is so much tougher.

Teen Girls Discover Brutal Honesty + Cattiness of Gay Best Friends
said...
Hollywood has long known gays make perfect "walkers": arm candy for a girl in need of a red carpet date. And now high schoolers have discovered the value of a Gay Best Friend, according to a riveting new column in Teen Vogue!
"A few years ago, all the popular, pretty girls were walking hand in hand with a preppy jock," says some random teen the magazine quotes. "Now you'll see them in hallways with a Mulberry bag on one arm and a Johnny Weir look-alike on the other." They all want Chris Colfer to be their GBF!
But beware, ladies. Having a gay in your lives might destroy your chances to meeting Mr. Right (whatever that means inside high school dating circles), according to the subliminal message I took away from this:
Maggie,* a seventeen-year-old Bostonian, found that since becoming so close to her GBF, she spends less time with her straight guy friends. "It's nice because I don't have to stress about Kevin* developing feelings for me," she says. "Pretty much every time I've formed a bond with a straight guy, he ended up being attracted to me, and I would wind up hurting him when he found out I didn't feel the same way."
She has even noticed that she's been dating less and less. "At this point in my life, I've realized that I'm not that interested in having a serious romantic relationship with a guy. I'm too young, and I just want to have fun." Maggie also appreciates Kevin's honesty, adding: "I can always count on him to tell me the truth, even when he knows that I don't want to hear it." In her case, that includes dispensing both fashion guidance (like telling her that she doesn't actually look cute in that orange Marc by Marc Jacobs poncho) and serious life advice (he was the only one who had the courage to tell her she looked too thin a year ago).
Gay best friends: The new Polly Pocket?
Just remember the ultimate rule of GBFs, tween and teen gals: There will come a time when you're going to have to start asking about their romantic interests and their sex lives. And there will also come a time where, no, we cannot go to the movies with you because we have a frickin' hot date and, yes, it's with your ex-boyfriend.

Can openly gay actors convincingly play straight characters?
That question was raised in a controversial article published by Newsweek in April, which referenced "Glee" star Chris Colfer and Broadway actor Sean Hayes. Now, the issue is being tackled at this year's 28th Outfest, the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, which begins on Thursday and runs through July 18.
On July 17, the festival will host a panel titled "Coming Out in Hollywood." Veteran publicist Howard Bragman will discuss the subject with "Family Ties" actress Meredith Baxter and other industry insiders.
"We thought it was important to try and bring the conversation further along," said executive festival director Kirsten Schaffer. "I happily welcome the debate, because I think it's through conversation that we can actually make some headway and make some change happen, because if we don't talk about it, then no change happens."
Indeed, Bragman's panel was also triggered by remarks made at last year's festival, when Todd Holland, an openly gay Emmy-winning director, told an audience that he believed young, gay male actors should "stay in the closet." A few days later, Holland issued a statement apologizing for his "poorly chosen words at Outfest." Also at the 2009 festival, gay writer-director Don Roos ("The Opposite of Sex") said that he thought gay actors should not come out because it can distract from the characters they play on-screen.
It's an idea that Bragman hopes to challenge in a meaningful way. "Since Meredith came out last Thanksgiving, more celebrities have come out than at any time in history," said Bragman, citing Hayes, Ricky Martin and Chely Wright as examples. "We're also at a time when we have people like Neil Patrick Harris and Cheyenne Jackson, out gay men, playing heterosexual men with great credibility."
The panel is one of more than a dozen the festival will host, in addition to the 147 films — 60 features and 87 shorts — that it will screen. Schaffer says that Outfest — which was founded in 1982 by a group of students at UCLA who "felt like they weren't seeing images of themselves reflected on-screen" — is the perfect venue for intelligent discussion. The audience that the festival attracts, according to head of programming Kim Yutani, is "predominantly male" and "industry oriented." Last year, around 40,000 people attended the 11-day event.
On Thursday, the festival will open with the L.A. premiere of "Howl," a movie about poet Allen Ginsberg starring James Franco.
"I'm sure J&A believers will find a way to turn that into Jake and Austin are married, have kids and use Internet to hide the fact that they are spending all their time together" uh, where have you been. That is exactly what we think. Except substitute the word twitter for internet.
I see. Austin tweets smoke and mirrors while he's with Jake, BTs and Atticus visiting uncle Chris. What a cunning plan!
Yes, that's why he has so much time to think up his tweets - he has to hide inside the house with BT(s) while Daddy Jake and Atticus and Uncle Chris get to run around the island, lol.

It is only for Mass now. If they appeal, it then goes up a step -circuit (adds other states) and if it gets appealed again then it goes to the Supreme court.
You WANT it appealed if you want the laws to expand outside the state. And, with the 4 libs and Kennedy this ruling would stand.
I do not have enough faith in Kennedy and the Supreme Court to do the right thing. The prop 8 case will make it there anyway, although it involves different issues.
Marriage is only legal in 5 states, and courts in those states could follow Mass if they want. Or not, I know.
If Obama appeals it will mean he has no interest in ending DOMA.
Zac Efron and Taylor Lautner would be director Randal Kleiser’s choice to star in a gay remake of his blockbuster musical Grease.
In an interview with Gay.com, Kleiser, who has been out as a gay man most of his career, also says that out actors Sean Hayes and Neil Patrick Harris “are the role models of today, and probably the next generation will find more, because I think less and less people are getting uptight about being gay.”
A sing-along version of Kleiser’s 1978 hit musical romance that starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John will be shown Friday night at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and open in select theaters nationwide July 8.
OT: "The Kids Are All Right" is getting GREAT critical raves. So far, it's 94% positive rating on rottentomatoes. And the critics are talking Oscar for Annette Bening.
By the way, the main couple in the movie is a lesbian couple played by Bening and Julianne Moore.

NBC has agreed to change the rules of a "Today" show wedding contest after receiving complaints from gay activists slamming the annual event as discriminatory.
The morning show's "Modern Day Wedding" contest will be opened to allow same-sex couples after network executives met with Thursday with representatives from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
The contest, which got underway last week, has aired for 11 years and allows viewers to vote on which couple will win a wedding that is telecast live on the air.
NBC initially argued that it was excluding same-sex couples because "the couple must be able to be legally married in New York, which is where the wedding will take place."
GLAAD countered that New York State legally recognizes same-sex marriages licensed in other states.
"NBC mistakenly equated the marriage license with the wedding celebration," GLAAD said in a statement.
"We're thrilled that 'Today Show's 'Modern Wedding Contest' now recognizes what most fair-minded Americans have already concluded - a wedding celebrates love and commitment, whether the spouses are straight or gay," said Jarrett Barrios, president of GLAAD. "NBC heard GLAAD and the thousands of viewers who contacted them. And they have moved to make their contest a truly modern wedding where any couple can share their story ... we encourage qualified same-sex couples to submit their applications."
In a statement, NBC said the network received "considerable response" regarding the controversy.
"Our intent was not to be discriminatory or exclusive," the network said. "In 2005 when the wedding took place outside of New York, the application process was open to same-sex couples. We have listened to every voicemail and read every email. We take this feedback seriously, and we will change our application process. Moving forward, we ensure that our future wedding contests will be inclusive of all couples."
I am so lucky. I will be seeing the Philadelphia premiere of "Howl" Sunday at the 16th annual Qfest(Philadelphia Gay Film Festival. I love James Franco and am looking ofrward to it. I also volunteer every year with my friend to usher for several of the movies. It is a lot of fun. Qfest is a two week film festival. Qfest will be honoring Kelly McGillis this year with the Artistic Acheivement Award for Acting.

He's in L.A.? I wonder if the sighting is credible? If it is, it's great timing, cause it seems Michelle is in L.A. too, I read a sighting. So, maybe Jake will spend a litte time with Matilda? Though I'm not sure the tweet is credible. I feel he's still on MV. Maggie and Ramona are there too, so him going to L.A. is not logical.
After two-plus years together, have Clay Aiken and Broadway actor (and sometimes clothes-taker-off-er) Reed Kelly split?
So says Kelly's MySpace profile, which a tipster points out was changed to "single." And what song is he listening to? Christina Aguilera's ""You Lost Me," which goes "She has won / Now its no fun / We've lost it all / The love is gone. And we had magic / And this is tragic / You couldn't keep your hands to yourself. I feel like our world's been infected / And somehow you left me neglected." Should we infer that's an accusation of cheating? Should we assume Clay will turn this all into a power ballad?
~~~~~~~ lol@ONTD comment, which was my first thought too: "Wait, hold on here! Are you kidding me?!
Wait a minute, Clay dumped / cheated on Kelly? This Reed Kelly (the guy on the right)?
CG: ... Someone that you obviously work really well with is your partner, Jane Wagner [right]. Especially coming from just being out at The Dinah there seem to be a lot of women in the lesbian community who own businesses or are in entertainment that work with their partners. And for you it’s obviously worked very well. What would you say is the secret to your success in working together and maintaining that balance?
LT: Oh God… well it’s hard. The strength of it is probably that Jane is not a performer and I am not anywhere near as good of a writer as she is. So we really have our place. But our sensibility is so similar and we just – in terms of like choosing and being, I don’t think that’s so difficult because we are so in tune and have the same kind of aesthetic desires and choices. What’s hard is sometimes just all the pressure. Especially if you are working on something that a lot is on the line for and then you’re both out there with your heads sticking out. And it’s tough because I don’t want her to be hurt or in any way have criticism that is too much to bear and I’m sure she feels the same about me. So I think that’s kind of almost the biggest risk is that when you are doing it together you’re both out there, so it’s not like one can retreat into a safer place. But maybe it makes us stronger too, being able to deal with it.
~~~~
CG: Finally, in reading more and more about you I learned that it wasn’t until around 2001 that the press started to write about your sexuality, but that you never denied it in any way – that you always spoke about Jane as your partner. A lot of the comedians that we feature on our site talk about the big decision that they had to make in deciding whether or not to be out on stage and in their careers. How did that work for you? Why do you think it was that it never seemed to be a big deal in your career?
LT: Well, I think first of all because I was around so long. You know, from the 1970’s, literally, and it just wasn’t done in those days. The press wouldn’t write about anything personal, certainly nothing gay, nothing homosexual. In many ways I think they think they were protecting you, you know, from the public and from opinion. And especially if you are on a big national television show with a hugely middle American audience… I often site a time in 1973 when I was on Johnny Carson - and Johnny knew very well that I was gay - but he said, “You don’t have any children, do you?” (laughs) And I said “No,” and you could hear the audience just gets galvanized... like you could hear a pin drop. And this was the days of heavy feminism too so the idea was that he wouldn’t ask a guy “Don’t you want children?” But for a woman to say, even at that time –as recent as that is – that you didn’t want to have children and weren’t interested in having children it was like, well what’s wrong with her? And so when Johnny said that I said “Do you mean do I want to bear a child biologically?” I said “No, I don’t.” And the audience just laughed and I can’t remember everything else I said but I said to Johnny, “By the way, who has custody of yours?” And so I am only using that as an example of what the public was attuned to. And so I even have had a writer on the staff of a special we were producing say to me, “You know, I think you and Jane should come to work in separate cars.” (laughs) And stuff like that. There was still just a lot of taboo and homophobia around it - around publishing anything about your private life.
'First of all, I am in the Broadway community and I know Reed personally. I know a huge majority aren't going to like what I have to say but here goes.
If Clay Aiken had done to me what he did to Reed after all of the devotion that boy put forth to both that relationship, to Clay's son and even more to that man, I would be doing more than adding a song or two to my myspace.
Reed is a very classy and "high-road" type of guy and I give him credit for doing such a minor thing after Clay embarrassed Reed the way he did with his actions. They weren't just private things either. We knew what was going down throughout the BWay community, but Reed stuck by him and loved him regardless.
Those of us on the inside know what really went down, so easy with getting your claws out at Reed when he was truly the one who was constantly standing up for Clay and trying to make it work again and again through all of Clay's habitual indiscretions.
Clay is a great guy, but I don't feel he is ready nor yet does he deserve someone as special as Reed at this time. I think someday he will be though and I will be happy for him when he finally gets there.
(Now I'm not looking forward to hear the screeching that is going to follow when I click submit, but I HAD to say somehing)'
Not 8:07 but I think I know what they meant (and agree tbh). That the first thing 7:45 thought about when seeing a tweet that Jake might be back in LA is "So, maybe Jake will spend a litte time with Matilda?" Oh God is right. Let me add an eye-roll to it too. Idc if 7:45 saw a Michelle-LA sighting; who the hell keeps track of where she is? And anyway why wouldn't the first thought be something like "I wonder/hope Jake and Michelle will see each other" not Matilda blah blah blah. Someone here i.e. 7:45 is obsessed with Matilda. It's been over five years since the godfather thing and when they worked together. Give it a rest.
Clay, Tiger, Jesse.... all high school nerds who never got any. So when they grew up, got famous and got money, they make up for lost time and lost lays. So typical.
10:38 AM, I understand what you saying, but 7:45 AM has a point - if Jake is back in LA then the possibility of spending some time with Michelle and Matilda is the most interesting thing about his return home.
No with Matilda, with Jake/Michelle. They mention Jake seing Matilda to make it less obvious because this is a JIG blog and it wouldn't fare well with the posters. A posters here(7:45 PM?) always tries to find ties between Jake and Michelle. Keep dreaming, lol.
I'm not paranoid at all. They's an obsessed poster who thinks Jake and Michelle dated when they were young and keeps saying Michelle asked Jake to be Matilda's godfather. She forgets Jake ignored Michelle whenever Heath (a guy!!) was around.
Jake is gay, he proved it with Reeke fauxmance. And even though I don't see off screen chemistry with Anne, they have great chemistry on screen. But it will be fun to see the nervous break down of some posters when LAOD is released and all the Anne/Jake shipping starts, when for some clingy, slutty MW is already such a threat. If some posters like the idea of Jake keeping in touch with his godchild, it doesn't mean they want to see him with MW. Beyond ridiculous.
"We kept putting him back because we had four cats, but he wasn't having any of it. One day, he slipped into the cat basket, and the cats just ignored him."
I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you, there won't be much shipping. Michelle is no thread because we know Jake is gay but silly posts are annoying.
he and his mate, Mrs. Pooh, have learned to rap on the patio door until one of the humans gets up to put out bowls of cat food, which the birds eat and also feed their young.
That Time True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard Got All Up In a Dude's Butt

Lest you think that Sam-and-Bill scene is the gayest thing to come out of True Blood, then there's this video featuring Alexander Skarsgard (Eric) with Rhys Thomas, his co-star in Beyond The Pole (yes, seriously, though it's about going to the North Pole, not smoking them), in what appears to be footage fit for DVD extras.
The men appear to be drunk. They also appear to be enjoying themselves.
Clay, Tiger, Jesse.... all high school nerds who never got any. So when they grew up, got famous and got money, they make up for lost time and lost lays.
I prefer his looks when he was younger and I liked his acting better back then. But he's one of the most watchable actors right now. I think he's lucky to star in real cool films.
I do, too :) And he's getting great reviews for Inception. And, tbh, Ellen Page is cute, but she looks 15 years old sometimes, so a lot of people probably look like her father, lol.
The difference between Jake and Leo is that while Jake is very charismatic irl (Leo strikes me as not so much), Leo is in front of the camera. Leo connects with his intensity and charisma as actor with the audience. Jake has a charismatic and fun real life persona, but ofen comes off as bland on screen. That's why Leo has such a long-lasting, successful career. I'm not sure how Jake will fare in the long-term. As a fan, I hope Jake will stay up there a respectable amount of years. We'll see.
It's been over five years since the godfather thing and when they worked together. Give it a rest.
I think the attack on 7:45 AM is completely unwarranted. (And no, I'm not 7:45 AM.)
Why should 7:45 AM have to give anything a rest? It was mild, legit speculation. The other few people on this site post all the fffin time about their own personal obsessions and their stuff is much less connected to Jake. Matilda has more links to Jake than Matt Bomer, for example. She has some personal relevance, even if it's only for public show. Yet we get lots of Bomer and 10:38 AM does not say "give it a rest."
I'm interested in who Jake spends time with, and that includes Matilda. If I can put up with Bomer and Austin's mouth turds, 10:38, you can put up with a little girl.
I don't mind talk about Matilda or Michelle or anything else for that matter - I'm perfectly capable of scrolling by posts that don't interest me. But - who and what has relevance or a "connection" with Jake and this blog is a matter of opinion. Matt Bomer is a gay actor who seems to have found a good balance between publicly stating "I'm gay" and living a pretty open life with his partner all while maintaining growing popularity, fame, and a successful career. I think that's actually very relevant to this blog.
What's sad about hoping Jake is doing the right thing and is part of Matilda's life?
Right thing according to who? For all we know Jake's her celebrity godfather, nowadays godfather tittle is more symbolic than anything else anyway. Some posters have a maudlin notion about the whole thing it's funny. I wonder how many times Jake saw Matilda while Heath was alive.
1:36PM, I don't think anyone who posts anonymously on a site like this should call anyone else here "sad." You could argue that others are wrong in their obsessions, but everyone here is equally "sad." We all obsess over something because don't have interesting enough lives of our own.
We are gossiping about actor Jake Gyllenhaal and everything connected with him and sometimes go off topic. A simple, but entertaining gossip blog about Mr. G. That's all.

Obsessing over whether Jake sees a little girl or not and obsessing over Jake being in a committed relationship and having a baby with someone he seems to spend little time with isn't sad? Okay then. Maybe I'm sad for obsessing over Jake being gay but the posters I'm talking about are much, much sadder.

Matt is an actor, Jake is an actor. Matt is in the closet, Jake is in the closet. Matt deals with gay rumors, Jake deals with gay rumors. Matt has a partner who has kids, Jake is rumored to have a partner and kid(s).

I think the whole WFT 2 blog will make a happy dance when Jake comes out with Austin and reveals his (possible) BT(s). All the waiting makes people a bit touchy. ;)
The right thing according to everyone capable of empathy.
Please.
Why please? Can you explain? That girl's a half-orphan. And all of Heath's friends seem to make an effort to keep in touch and Jake seems too. If so, great for him.
The right thing according to everyone capable of empathy. Please.
Please what? Are you going to use "no one takes godfather thing seriously so why should Jake?" argument again? Is it OK to be rude because the world is full of rude people?
Bomer is good looking and he is good in his show but he is a TV actor and can “get away” with a lot more than a movie actor.
His character reminds me of Remington Steele. A straight, super thin, cultured, manscaped, Cary Grant type man that if they didn’t keep putting a woman into the script you could easily think the character was gay. I wouldn’t believe it if they had the character playing frisbee in the park, but I do believe that Bomer plays frisbee. Could I see the actor who plays the FBI dude and him switch places with him, no. The FBI dude doesn’t have the face. Bomer could be the FBI guy, but he would need less tailored suits and different manner.
Oh give it a rest. If he looked like Nathan Lane, you'd never post about him again.
LOL. Geez, why such touchy about Bomer? It's no secret that some of us think he's good looking. That's hardly a secret or something that we're trying to hide. It's been mentioned a time or two, lol. But everything else I said about him is true and for some reason that makes some people touchy and defensive. It's like you're pissed off that he's not bearding and hiding. And, btw, if Jake looked like Nathan Lane, I doubt you'd be on this blog or care about anything he did, including seeing Matilda :)
You forgot about the $$$ Heath left her, about his family and friends, that she has a mother and her family. She'll grow up just fine. I'm not a believer in the Jake/Heath friendship post-BBM, I would like to know how many times Jake saw Matilda when Heath was alive.

All of Heath's family and most of his friends live in Australia. Jake and Heath were friends, he is Matilda's godfather, he makes an effort to keep in touch (as does her godmother). Deal with it!
Please. What a ridiculous comparison. Matt is barely in a glass closet and goes out publicly with his partner and kids. Jake bearded for 2-1/2 years and is so deep in the closet he spouts nonsense about every man needing to find the right woman in life.
Matt deals with gay rumors, Jake deals with gay rumors.
Matt simply says his private life has brought him incredible happiness and wants to keep it private. He doesn't lie. I think we've seen how Jake deals with gay rumors.
Matt has a partner who has kids, Jake is rumored to have a partner and kid(s).
Please don't compare Matt and Simon Hall and Simon's kids, who actually exist and actually walk around in public, with the J&A and BT stuff.
DiCaprio keeps in touch with goddaughter Ruby Maguire, Aniston keeps in touch with goddaughter Coco Arquette. Spielberg still keeps in touch and supports Drew Barrymore at premieres and she is a grown up.
Yes, he also said he went to Heath's memorial, he also said every man should find the right woman, he also said he's straight. And those things are all true. Definitely.
2:34 PM - even if Jake wasn't her godfather, I'm 100% convinced he'd keep in touch. He's a good guy. I'm sure if he wasn't in that business where you can earn millions and millions of dollars for little work, he'd be out a long time ago. Despite all that, he's still a nice guy, I'm convinced.
I’m crazy about Oscar. I’m addicted to him. Totally hooked. I’ve read books on him, written (too many?) blog posts about him, followed his every move, spent countless hours trying to predict what he’ll do next. I’m like a stalker who just can’t get enough. And still, I just don’t get him. Neither, so far, has Leonardo DiCaprio. But it’s not completely DiCaprio’s fault. Sure he’s never given that runaway, undeniable Academy Award-caliber performance. He’s never even been a frontrunner. But sometimes Oscar has such terrible taste in actors and actresses. He’ll go home with Hilary Swank (twice) but not with Peter O’Toole or Glenn Close or Julianne Moore or Ed Harris or Johnny Depp or Sigourney Weaver or Annette Bening or Laura Linney or Ralph Fiennes or Edward Norton or Jude Law. He’ll flirt with them, but he won’t go all the way. I swear, that guy is such a tease.
But if the early buzz on Inception holds up, next year he just might be ready to give in to DiCaprio.
It certainly would have taken him long enough. The star of Titanic, formerly the highest-grossing film of all time, has been Academy Award-nominated three times (for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Aviator and Blood Diamond). He’s toplined two Best Picture winners (Titanic and The Departed) and starred in two others (The Gangs of New York and The Aviator). He’s a rarity in Hollywood: an actor and a movie star, capable of carrying films that earn money and excellent reviews.
I can’t remember any DiCaprio film since Titanic with as much pre-release hype (the good kind) as Inception. The Christopher Nolan-directed sci-fi action thriller opens on July 16, and already it’s getting some of the best reviews of the careers of everyone involved. And when you consider Nolan’s credits (which include Memento and The Dark Knight) as well as DiCaprio’s Oscar-nominated-and/or-winning supporting cast — Ken Watanabe, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Berenger, Pete Postlethwaite and Michael Caine — that’s no minor accomplishment.
The film, whose confusing plot involves a thief of subconscious ideas looking for redemption, has a 100% rating so far on Rotten Tomatoes, based on eight reviews (as of July 6). Though biggies like the New York Times and Roger Ebert have yet to weigh in, Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers has, and he’s breathless in his enthusiasm.
The mind-blowing movie event of the summer arrives just in time to hold back the flow of Hollywood sputum that’s been sliming the multiplex. Inception…will be called many things, starting with ‘James Bond Meets The Matrix.’ You can feel the vibe of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner in it, and Nolan’s own Memento and The Dark Knight. But Inception glows with a blue-flame intensity all its own. Nolan creates a dream world that he wants us to fill with our own secrets. I can’t think of a better goal for any filmmaker.”
Will others concur? Probably. New raves seem to come in every day. And Oscar? The film’s sci-fi bent might hurt its Academy Award chances more than its mid-summer release date. No sci-fi film has ever won Best Picture (though Avatar presumably came close), but as The Hurt Locker, which was released in June of 2009, proved in March, it’s possible to launch a Best Picture frontrunner — and eventual winner — before December.
As for DiCaprio, what can I say? Depp and O’Toole aside, no other previously nominated actor is more deserving of Oscar’s company. He already has the momentum of having starred in an early 2010 hit, the Martin Scorcese-directed Shutter Island. And if Sandra Bullock can score for a middling effort like The Blind Side, winning for a unaninimously acclaimed film directed by the guy who got Heath Ledger a posthumous prize should be a cinch.
See, if someone like Leo came out as gay, now that'd make an impact. Bomer or even Jake are peanuts in comparison. Nobody really cares about some lightweigt like Bomer. Although he is miles ahead looks wise from Leo and even Jake.

Wow, one of the stupidest things I've read in a while. This guy is either dumb or wants hits from DiCaprio/Nolan fanboys.
Well, that's that then, lol. The pronouncement has been made by 3:07PM.
Did you read the Inception reviews? Most say he's good but only a couple mention Oscar nomination. This early he needs REALLY strong reviews which he's not getting so far to stay with the critics till the awards season. Nevermind that SciFi films are not known for getting acting nominations. Special Effects, Best Picture, Directing, Screenplay, Score etc is a sure bet for Inception though. A lot of Oscar-baity movies with Oscar- baity performances will be out come fall.
"If Obama appeals it will mean he has no interest in ending DOMA."
If Obama thinks that opposing the repeal of DOMA will help him get re-elected, he'll appeal the Mass federal court ruling. And he won't give a damn what you think.
Leo & Oscar nod - if the fall/winter line up is weak, Leo could very well end up getting a nod for Inception. I think he's more likely to get a nod for Inception than Shutter Island.
Yes, he also said he went to Heath's memorial, he also said every man should find the right woman, he also said he's straight. And those things are all true. Definitely.
Please don't play dumb, just because closted gays lie about their sexuality doesn't mean they are pathological liars.
I think he's more likely to get a nod for Inception than Shutter Island.
I disagree. If it were Supporting Actor category and Inception wasn't a SciFi thriller his odds at a nom would look better. Inglorious Basterds, for example, came out last year roughly the same time Inception will but Christoph Waltz got very, very strong critics compared to Leo.
"The film stars DiCaprio, in a career-best performance..."
I've been reading Inception reviews and interviews and this ONTD comment sums it up: "I’m struck by how well DiCaprio choses projects and directors to work with. He thoroughly knows his craft and is dedicated to it."
I'm not a big Leo fan but he is GOOD. At acting, environmental causes, choosing his projects, playing the pr game. In the past few years, Jake, with all his Hollywood savvy and connections and determination to show "range" and not take himself so seriously (if that's what PoP was), is not.
I can't imagine Leo saying that he wants to take himself less seriously. He wouldn't have to say such a thing. He doesn't need to reinvent himself. Why does Jake think he has to?
Leo is serious and he doesn't apologize for it. He's in the big leagues. Chris Nolan is Big League. Nolan does original, nuanced work. Inception is an original. Even the cast...brilliant. This is the world I wish Jake was in. Not in a world of flaccid bandwagon movies (Rendition), pointless remakes (Brothers) and just-out-to-make-a-buck video game videos (PoP is not a film). Maybe LAOD and SC will be good, but... Leo is playing JEHoover next. With a (((Dustin Lance Black))) screenplay. That's on a different level.
Inglorious Basterds, for example, came out last year roughly the same time Inception will but Christoph Waltz got very, very strong critics compared to Leo.
Waltz is an amazing talent and I'm sure Leo's performance in I. won't even come close to Waltz's in IB, even though he probably did a very good job. I still think, if he gets a nod, it'll be for I. rather than SI.
Jake is a better actor than him IMO. Leo doesn't have much range (Jake hasn't shown a lot of it either yet), is not good with accents and overracts (Jake has a natural subtlety, I love that about him), but he's a household name, chooses his project wisely and is serious about acting.
4:03 PM, I'm not talking about talent, I'm talking about critical acclaim i.e. buzz. Waltz had a lot of buzz and his role was Oscar-baity, Leo doesn't and his role isn't. My opinion is he won't get nominated for Inception, I would even bet you. ;)
I'm not a big Leo fan but he is GOOD. At acting, environmental causes, choosing his projects, playing the pr game.
Absolutely. He learned to play the game well.
I remember shortly after Titanic when I read shit like him and his friends making fun of a poor woman who had a disability. Kate Winslet said in one of her recent interviews that she was proud of Leo, because he grew up so much. According to her he didn't even know what the word "charity" meant (literally) back then.
My opinion is he won't get nominated for Inception, I would even bet you. ;)
Alright, if we both still post here come award season 2010/11 and if Leo gets a nod for Inception, I'll write "I told you so". You'll know I mean you. ;)
Jake is a better actor than him IMO. Leo doesn't have much range (Jake hasn't shown a lot of it either yet), is not good with accents and overracts (Jake has a natural subtlety, I love that about him), but he's a household name, chooses his project wisely and is serious about acting.
Jake did a good English accent in PoP. Generally he is good with accents. He just needs to take acting more seriously again and start choosing his projects a bit better again.
4:17 PM, if I'm still around it will be me with the "I told you so". ;)
I find it funny that posters here cheer for Anne to get a nom for LAOD, Leo for Inception but no one says they hope Jake will get one for LAOD. This is a Jake site, is it not? LOL

I wish Jake would get Oscar buzz for LAOD, but so far all the buzz is for Anne and who knows if Anne will continue to get buzz when the film is seen by more critics.
From the upcoming fall and winter releases "The Kids Are All Right" with Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo and "Blue Valentine" with Michelle and Gosling are getting much early buzz.
I find it funny that posters here cheer for Anne to get a nom for LAOD, Leo for Inception but no one says they hope Jake will get one for LAOD. This is a Jake site, is it not? LOL
Oh, good grief. The only reason people were talking Oscar for Anne was because some very early reviews mentioned it. No one just pulled it out of the air to be anti-Jake. And the reason we're talking possible Oscar for Leo is because his movie comes out next week, it's getting rave reviews and there was an article posted about a possible nomination. No one pulled that out of the air to be anti-Jake, either.
4:27 is right - there hasn't been Oscar buzz for Jake yet. Maybe he will get it. It's really too early to tell. It was probably too early for that reviewer to talk Oscar for Anne. I'm sure we'll hear more about LAOD and Jake's Oscar chances closer to release date. Just because there is talk about Leo and his current movie doesn't mean it's a put-down of Jake. And no one is stopping you from saying that you hope Jake gets an Oscar nom for LAOD. Go ahead!
Matt is in the closet, Jake is in the closet. Please. What a ridiculous comparison.
What comparison? They are both in the closet, you can't deny that, and that is one of the reasons why I'm interesed in Bomer, to learn how different actors deal with fake straight image.
Please don't play dumb, just because closted gays lie about their sexuality doesn't mean they are pathological liars.
Did I say he was a pathological liar? No, I didn't and I don't believe he is but I believe he lies like any other human being when he feels he has to or when when it's in his interest. Like lying to those fans about going to Heath's memorial which has nothing to do with Jake being closeted. Maybe he had good reasons, I'm not judging and I don't care, still not telling the truth is not telling the truth, you can spin as you wish.
You implied it. BTW, please don't try to present your opinion as fact ("lying to those fans about going to Heath's memorial").
No, I didn't imply it. I gave examples of Jake lying to show he's capable of lying because apparently some people think he isn't. Btw, it's not my opinion, I know he didn't go. But I don't care about convincing you or anyone else so if it makes you feel better to think he went go ahead.
Whenever LAOD is screened there are raves about Anne but barely a mention of Jake. Strange. As noted his personal charisma does not seem to transfer to the big screen. He needs to try HBO or Showtime. Lots of stars are doing it. And its odd that there were not twitters re Source Codes screening. Especially from a regular twitterer like Duncan Jones.
Yeah, playing dumb. Like being there would be the only way of knowing he didn't attend? It's like saying I don't know Jake is gay because I haven't seen him have sex with a man with my own eyes. Luckily people in the know talk sometimes, that's how we get good, juicy gossip. This isn't any different, and this source is trustworthy. Anyway, the point is Jake lies like the rest of us mortals. Shocking, I know.
I agree Bomer is in a glass closet, but please, he is hardly projecting a fake straight image. No beard, no every man needs to find a woman, no swinging bachelor out with the models.....
Bomer is relevant because he is a leading man make the girls swoon kind of actor. He is not a character or theater actor where it does not matter as much.
I also have faith he will cross over to movies--or I should say do more than the few he has.
"Yeah, playing dumb. Like being there would be the only way of knowing he didn't attend? It's like saying I don't know Jake is gay because I haven't seen him have sex with a man with my own eyes. IA with you that Jake has been caught in lies before. IA also that there are times that people in the know gossip. Was your source involved with the event and didn't see Jake there or do they know personally and know for a fact he wasn't there? I'm curious because if it is someone that knows Jake personally, would they or have they said he's gay? Because there are a few people who have claimed they know for a fact Jake is gay and have seen him with a boyfriend/date.
FYI Michelle is not in LA. She filming in Toronto and spent the long week-end with Matilda at Algonquin Park. A woman and her family met them and takes photos of Matilda. I'm not a Michelle-fan but I'm happy to read this: http://asprayson.wordpress.com/2010/07/07/just-a-mom-2/
What comparison? They are both in the closet, you can't deny that, and that is one of the reasons why I'm interesed in Bomer, to learn how different actors deal with fake straight image.
I'm interested in Bomer, too. That's why I post about him :) But their "closets" are not at all the same and Bomer doesn't attempt to put on a "fake straight image" with regard to his personal life, i.e., he doesn't beard and he doesn't talk about finding a woman to be his soul-mate, etc.
Nice looks but he's one-dimensional as an actor. Jake is much more interesting.
That's fine, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not Bomer is relevant to this blog and the discussion of gay actors dealing with the public.
4:36 PM, it was a simple observation. I guess it got under your skin.
LOL. "Simple observation." Nice try. It's obvious that any positive talk about anyone except Jake gets under your skin. Yep, I was irritated at how petty and paranoid that came across to me.
We went to Algonquin Park during the long weekend in July. My cousin and her family go every year for the long weekend, and we joined them in the wilderness this year.
Who we met made our visit even a little more special…
And it was easy. Because, she (Michelle) was there as a mom. And as a mom, it’s not a difficult task to connect with other moms. So, we all spent the day together. Our three families, playing, talking, hiking, sharing. It was wonderful to meet such a sweet, quiet, lovely woman, who just happened to be an accomplished actress, and a newly single mom, struggling with so many of the same issues that anyone, with a much smaller life struggles with.
She talked about Matilda’s daddy. With fondness and with love. She worries about her daughter and enjoys all the little things that every mother enjoys. She finds joy in her little girl’s accomplishments and faces the same fears and hopes that any mother does.
And she is doing such a wonderful job as a mom. Matilda is expressive and lovely. She is caring and empathetic. She enjoyed every moment of being surrounded by little boys. In some ways, the life ahead of her will be more challenging than what other children go through. Looking at her though, she has a doting mom and, I’m sure a proud dad who watches her from somewhere.
And Michelle has a great reminder of Matilda’s daddy, because he beams from his little girl.
But their "closets" are not at all the same and Bomer doesn't attempt to put on a "fake straight image" with regard to his personal life, i.e., he doesn't beard and he doesn't talk about finding a woman to be his soul-mate, etc.
Every person is different, every Hollywood closet is different, but the reason for the closet is the same: fake straight image.

LOL. Or maybe they hired look-alikes and fake Austin was posing with Sophia while the real Austin was in MV (but hiding inside since there are no sightings of him there). Or maybe the fake Jake has been in MV all this time while the real Jake stayed at home while Austin ran around town with Sophia. Or maybe the real J&A are off on a deserted island somewhere with BT and the fake J&A are in MV and L.A.

Dear Ted:
Has Cristiano Ronaldo he ever been a B.V.? He isn't really a household name in the U.S, but after the World Cup, he's getting there. Plus, this new revelation of a "secret child" is causing me to raise an eyebrow.
—DoubleUM
Dear Futball Fella:
While there have been some famous sports folks who have been B.V.s (not to mention some British hotties, of course), Cristiano ain't one of them. But now that he's making headlines across the pond, who knows what the future holds. As for now his dirty laundry is pretty much out there.
Dear Ted:
Chace Crawford was recently on vacation with his sister and Tony Romo. This being his second vacation of the year being the third wheel, I think it's time his agents set him up with a nice girlfriend. He obviously can't find one on his own. What is the hold-up?
—G
Dear Flying Solo:
Uh, not sure where you've been but Chace has bigger problems to worry about than finding a new gal-pal to fool around with. Didn't you see La Lohan's court date? Judges are cracking down on celebs, and that was in T-town. Texas is so much tougher.
Bitch-Back! Will Grutz Ever Happen?
Cristiano Ronaldo..."secret child"
Oh, goody! A playmate! Let's make a playdate!! Maybe my daddy and Baby Ronaldo's daddy can play, too!

It's pretty strong evidence that Austin looks at OMG; bet he also looks at WFT2.
Fuck. So he knows I'm having webcam sex with strangers and chatting away about Daddy on Jake blogs instead of sleeping? Shit!
I see. Austin tweets smoke and mirrors while he's with Jake, BTs and Atticus visiting uncle Chris. What a cunning plan!

Good news. We need more Judge Tauros.
Wow, that is great about the DOMA ruling.
If Obama appeals it he will be dead to me.
*cough*
If Obama appeals it he will be dead to me.
HELLO:
It is only for Mass now. If they appeal, it then goes up a step -circuit (adds other states) and if it gets appealed again then it goes to the Supreme court.
You WANT it appealed if you want the laws to expand outside the state. And, with the 4 libs and Kennedy this ruling would stand.
No appeal, it stops in Mass.
ONTD - Maggie Gyllenhaal For Vibrator Movie
I do not have enough faith in Kennedy and the Supreme Court to do the right thing. The prop 8 case will make it there anyway, although it involves different issues.
Marriage is only legal in 5 states, and courts in those states could follow Mass if they want. Or not, I know.
If Obama appeals it will mean he has no interest in ending DOMA.
If Obama appeals it will mean he has no interest in ending DOMA.
Or, he is doing an end run around the congress.
Efron, Lautner: Dream Cast for Gay Grease Remake
Wow, that would be great! :)

Yeah nobody cares about lesbians on WFT. Even lesbians that post here don't care about lesbian themes or movies.

NBC to Change 'Today' Wedding Contest After Protests
Kudos to NBC and the "Today Show".
Also out actor Ian McKellen has been nominated for an Emmy for Best Actor in a TV movie/Miniseries("The Prisoner").
Also Lilly Tomlin has been nominated for Best Actress in a guest appearance drama.

Though I'm not sure the tweet is credible. I feel he's still on MV. Maggie and Ramona are there too, so him going to L.A. is not logical.

Have Clay Aiken + boyfriend split?

I talked about The Kids are Alright here and OMG. It came up in Bomer posts, so people who are not interested in him probably scrolled by.
Can't wait to see it, I've been hearing about it for ages. NYT gave it a rave review today.
Lily Tomlin is so talented and awesome in every way. She and her partner Jane Wagner have been together a long time.

No.
Have Clay Aiken + boyfriend split?
:(
Jersey Tom's profile picture = Brazilian Hottie
Et tu, Tom?
So says Kelly's MySpace profile, which a tipster points out was changed to "single." And what song is he listening to? Christina Aguilera's ""You Lost Me," ... And this is tragic / You couldn't keep your hands to yourself...
Wait a minute, Clay dumped / cheated on Kelly? This Reed Kelly (the guy on the right)?
Cherry Grrl Interview: Lily Tomlin, April 12, 2010
Excerpts:
CG: ... Someone that you obviously work really well with is your partner, Jane Wagner [right]. Especially coming from just being out at The Dinah there seem to be a lot of women in the lesbian community who own businesses or are in entertainment that work with their partners. And for you it’s obviously worked very well. What would you say is the secret to your success in working together and maintaining that balance?
LT: Oh God… well it’s hard. The strength of it is probably that Jane is not a performer and I am not anywhere near as good of a writer as she is. So we really have our place. But our sensibility is so similar and we just – in terms of like choosing and being, I don’t think that’s so difficult because we are so in tune and have the same kind of aesthetic desires and choices. What’s hard is sometimes just all the pressure. Especially if you are working on something that a lot is on the line for and then you’re both out there with your heads sticking out. And it’s tough because I don’t want her to be hurt or in any way have criticism that is too much to bear and I’m sure she feels the same about me. So I think that’s kind of almost the biggest risk is that when you are doing it together you’re both out there, so it’s not like one can retreat into a safer place. But maybe it makes us stronger too, being able to deal with it.
~~~~
CG: Finally, in reading more and more about you I learned that it wasn’t until around 2001 that the press started to write about your sexuality, but that you never denied it in any way – that you always spoke about Jane as your partner. A lot of the comedians that we feature on our site talk about the big decision that they had to make in deciding whether or not to be out on stage and in their careers. How did that work for you? Why do you think it was that it never seemed to be a big deal in your career?
LT: Well, I think first of all because I was around so long. You know, from the 1970’s, literally, and it just wasn’t done in those days. The press wouldn’t write about anything personal, certainly nothing gay, nothing homosexual. In many ways I think they think they were protecting you, you know, from the public and from opinion. And especially if you are on a big national television show with a hugely middle American audience… I often site a time in 1973 when I was on Johnny Carson - and Johnny knew very well that I was gay - but he said, “You don’t have any children, do you?” (laughs) And I said “No,” and you could hear the audience just gets galvanized... like you could hear a pin drop. And this was the days of heavy feminism too so the idea was that he wouldn’t ask a guy “Don’t you want children?” But for a woman to say, even at that time –as recent as that is – that you didn’t want to have children and weren’t interested in having children it was like, well what’s wrong with her? And so when Johnny said that I said “Do you mean do I want to bear a child biologically?” I said “No, I don’t.” And the audience just laughed and I can’t remember everything else I said but I said to Johnny, “By the way, who has custody of yours?” And so I am only using that as an example of what the public was attuned to. And so I even have had a writer on the staff of a special we were producing say to me, “You know, I think you and Jane should come to work in separate cars.” (laughs) And stuff like that. There was still just a lot of taboo and homophobia around it - around publishing anything about your private life.
Clay Aiken + Reed Kelly Split, According to MySpace Relationship Status
One of the comments:
'First of all, I am in the Broadway community and I know Reed personally. I know a huge majority aren't going to like what I have to say but here goes.
If Clay Aiken had done to me what he did to Reed after all of the devotion that boy put forth to both that relationship, to Clay's son and even more to that man, I would be doing more than adding a song or two to my myspace.
Reed is a very classy and "high-road" type of guy and I give him credit for doing such a minor thing after Clay embarrassed Reed the way he did with his actions. They weren't just private things either. We knew what was going down throughout the BWay community, but Reed stuck by him and loved him regardless.
Those of us on the inside know what really went down, so easy with getting your claws out at Reed when he was truly the one who was constantly standing up for Clay and trying to make it work again and again through all of Clay's habitual indiscretions.
Clay is a great guy, but I don't feel he is ready nor yet does he deserve someone as special as Reed at this time. I think someday he will be though and I will be happy for him when he finally gets there.
(Now I'm not looking forward to hear the screeching that is going to follow when I click submit, but I HAD to say somehing)'
I often site a time in 1973 when I was on Johnny Carson - and Johnny knew very well that I was gay...
Thanks 10:25 AM!
Oh God...
Not 8:07 but I think I know what they meant (and agree tbh). That the first thing 7:45 thought about when seeing a tweet that Jake might be back in LA is "So, maybe Jake will spend a litte time with Matilda?" Oh God is right. Let me add an eye-roll to it too. Idc if 7:45 saw a Michelle-LA sighting; who the hell keeps track of where she is? And anyway why wouldn't the first thought be something like "I wonder/hope Jake and Michelle will see each other" not Matilda blah blah blah. Someone here i.e. 7:45 is obsessed with Matilda. It's been over five years since the godfather thing and when they worked together. Give it a rest.
Clay's habitual indiscretions
Clay, Tiger, Jesse.... all high school nerds who never got any. So when they grew up, got famous and got money, they make up for lost time and lost lays. So typical.
10:38 AM, I understand what you saying, but 7:45 AM has a point - if Jake is back in LA then the possibility of spending some time with Michelle and Matilda is the most interesting thing about his return home.
Someone here i.e. 7:45 is obsessed with Matilda.
No with Matilda, with Jake/Michelle. They mention Jake seing Matilda to make it less obvious because this is a JIG blog and it wouldn't fare well with the posters. A posters here(7:45 PM?) always tries to find ties between Jake and Michelle. Keep dreaming, lol.
Thanks 10:25 AM!
You're welcome :)
Some posters are truly paranoid.
Some posters are truly paranoid.
I'm not paranoid at all. They's an obsessed poster who thinks Jake and Michelle dated when they were young and keeps saying Michelle asked Jake to be Matilda's godfather. She forgets Jake ignored Michelle whenever Heath (a guy!!) was around.
Jake is gay, he proved it with Reeke fauxmance. And even though I don't see off screen chemistry with Anne, they have great chemistry on screen. But it will be fun to see the nervous break down of some posters when LAOD is released and all the Anne/Jake shipping starts, when for some clingy, slutty MW is already such a threat. If some posters like the idea of Jake keeping in touch with his godchild, it doesn't mean they want to see him with MW. Beyond ridiculous.
And I thought my family was confused.
"We kept putting him back because we had four cats, but he wasn't having any of it. One day, he slipped into the cat basket, and the cats just ignored him."
Seagull thinks he's a cat
Anne/Jake shipping starts
I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you, there won't be much shipping. Michelle is no thread because we know Jake is gay but silly posts are annoying.
he and his mate, Mrs. Pooh, have learned to rap on the patio door until one of the humans gets up to put out bowls of cat food, which the birds eat and also feed their young.
Inception UK premiere. Leo, Ellen Page and Marion Cottilard.
JJ
All the Dark Knight and Nolan fanboys will line up for the opening w/e. I think the movie will be a b.o. smash. The reviews are great.
Leo is aging badly. At 36 he looks like he could be Ellen Page's father.
How about the Nolan fangirls? :)
INCEPTION MEGA POST
Thanks. :)
Leo is aging badly.
Yeah, but he's a very successful actor. That's what counts in the end.
I love Leo's looks now. :)
Lest you think that Sam-and-Bill scene is the gayest thing to come out of True Blood, then there's this video featuring Alexander Skarsgard (Eric) with Rhys Thomas, his co-star in Beyond The Pole (yes, seriously, though it's about going to the North Pole, not smoking them), in what appears to be footage fit for DVD extras.
The men appear to be drunk. They also appear to be enjoying themselves.
Queerty
Clay, Tiger, Jesse.... all high school nerds who never got any. So when they grew up, got famous and got money, they make up for lost time and lost lays.
*cough*
I love Leo's looks now. :)
I prefer his looks when he was younger and I liked his acting better back then. But he's one of the most watchable actors right now. I think he's lucky to star in real cool films.
I love Leo's looks now. :)
I do, too :) And he's getting great reviews for Inception. And, tbh, Ellen Page is cute, but she looks 15 years old sometimes, so a lot of people probably look like her father, lol.
I think he's lucky to star in real cool films.
Well, that brings up an interesting question. Is it just luck that he gets good roles in cool films?
Leo in his Titanic days looked the most attractive. His body was never nice though, except in a few recent movies.
Titanic Leo
Well, that brings up an interesting question. Is it just luck that he gets good roles in cool films?
Hm... maybe not so much luck, rather the combo of him being so watchable and a audience draw that good film-makers choose him as the star?
Leo was such a classically good looking guy and for many he still is.
Leo
Forget Leo and JGL, Tom Hardy is the hot one in the Inception cast, and a talented actor to boot. Yum!
The difference between Jake and Leo is that while Jake is very charismatic irl (Leo strikes me as not so much), Leo is in front of the camera. Leo connects with his intensity and charisma as actor with the audience. Jake has a charismatic and fun real life persona, but ofen comes off as bland on screen. That's why Leo has such a long-lasting, successful career. I'm not sure how Jake will fare in the long-term. As a fan, I hope Jake will stay up there a respectable amount of years. We'll see.
Leo in his Titanic days looked the most attractive.
Leo is getting older, but still has a baby face :)
Tom Hardy is the hot one in the Inception cast
Nice nipples!
Austin and Sophia @ Darker Side Of Green Debate: JJB
Austin looks happy to be there. LOL.
It's been over five years since the godfather thing and when they worked together. Give it a rest.
I think the attack on 7:45 AM is completely unwarranted. (And no, I'm not 7:45 AM.)
Why should 7:45 AM have to give anything a rest? It was mild, legit speculation. The other few people on this site post all the fffin time about their own personal obsessions and their stuff is much less connected to Jake. Matilda has more links to Jake than Matt Bomer, for example. She has some personal relevance, even if it's only for public show. Yet we get lots of Bomer and 10:38 AM does not say "give it a rest."
I'm interested in who Jake spends time with, and that includes Matilda. If I can put up with Bomer and Austin's mouth turds, 10:38, you can put up with a little girl.
Austin and Sophia @ Darker Side Of Green Debate
Ha! So we did get Sophia's birthday pictures.
It's been over five years since the godfather thing and when they worked together. Give it a rest.
Ok, I'll cut all ties with the two.
The posters who obsess with Jake seeing Matilda are just as sad as some J/A believers.
What's sad about hoping Jake is doing the right thing and is part of Matilda's life?
Jake needs to be seen with a hot guy again and making googly eyes at him. Give us something Jake!!!
I don't mind talk about Matilda or Michelle or anything else for that matter - I'm perfectly capable of scrolling by posts that don't interest me. But - who and what has relevance or a "connection" with Jake and this blog is a matter of opinion. Matt Bomer is a gay actor who seems to have found a good balance between publicly stating "I'm gay" and living a pretty open life with his partner all while maintaining growing popularity, fame, and a successful career. I think that's actually very relevant to this blog.
Shut up!
Jake needs to be seen with a hot guy again and making googly eyes at him.
Shut up!
What's sad about hoping Jake is doing the right thing and is part of Matilda's life?
Right thing according to who? For all we know Jake's her celebrity godfather, nowadays godfather tittle is more symbolic than anything else anyway. Some posters have a maudlin notion about the whole thing it's funny. I wonder how many times Jake saw Matilda while Heath was alive.
1:36PM, I don't think anyone who posts anonymously on a site like this should call anyone else here "sad." You could argue that others are wrong in their obsessions, but everyone here is equally "sad." We all obsess over something because don't have interesting enough lives of our own.
We are gossiping about actor Jake Gyllenhaal and everything connected with him and sometimes go off topic. A simple, but entertaining gossip blog about Mr. G. That's all.
Oh give it a rest. If he looked like Nathan Lane, you'd never post about him again.
Touche!
If that's so, why is the Matilda "off-topic" not allowed?
What's sad about hoping Jake is doing the right thing and is part of Matilda's life?
Right thing according to who?
The right thing according to everyone capable of empathy.
If that's so, why is the Matilda "off-topic" not allowed?
I can't read minds. What do I know why some have a problem with this post.
So much ado about nothing. Oy!
Oh give it a rest. If he looked like Nathan Lane, you'd never post about him again.
LOL. You have to admit, Bomer is a nice piece of ass. Even nicer than Jakey Poo.
1:36PM, I don't think anyone who posts anonymously on a site like this should call anyone else here "sad."
Obsessing over whether Jake sees a little girl or not and obsessing over Jake being in a committed relationship and having a baby with someone he seems to spend little time with isn't sad? Okay then. Maybe I'm sad for obsessing over Jake being gay but the posters I'm talking about are much, much sadder.
The right thing according to everyone capable of empathy.
Please.
Oh give it a rest. If he looked like Nathan Lane, you'd never post about him again.
Matt is an actor, Jake is an actor. Matt is in the closet, Jake is in the closet. Matt deals with gay rumors, Jake deals with gay rumors. Matt has a partner who has kids, Jake is rumored to have a partner and kid(s).
obsessing over Jake being in a committed relationship and having a baby with someone he seems to spend little time with isn't sad?
I think the whole WFT 2 blog will make a happy dance when Jake comes out with Austin and reveals his (possible) BT(s). All the waiting makes people a bit touchy. ;)
The right thing according to everyone capable of empathy.
Please.
Why please? Can you explain?
That girl's a half-orphan. And all of Heath's friends seem to make an effort to keep in touch and Jake seems too. If so, great for him.
The right thing according to everyone capable of empathy.
Please.
Please what? Are you going to use "no one takes godfather thing seriously so why should Jake?" argument again? Is it OK to be rude because the world is full of rude people?
Bomer is good looking and he is good in his show but he is a TV actor and can “get away” with a lot more than a movie actor.
His character reminds me of Remington Steele. A straight, super thin, cultured, manscaped, Cary Grant type man that if they didn’t keep putting a woman into the script you could easily think the character was gay. I wouldn’t believe it if they had the character playing frisbee in the park, but I do believe that Bomer plays frisbee. Could I see the actor who plays the FBI dude and him switch places with him, no. The FBI dude doesn’t have the face. Bomer could be the FBI guy, but he would need less tailored suits and different manner.
He would make a great Superman/Clark Kent.
OK. I’ve bored myself.
LOL. Geez, why such touchy about Bomer? It's no secret that some of us think he's good looking. That's hardly a secret or something that we're trying to hide. It's been mentioned a time or two, lol. But everything else I said about him is true and for some reason that makes some people touchy and defensive. It's like you're pissed off that he's not bearding and hiding. And, btw, if Jake looked like Nathan Lane, I doubt you'd be on this blog or care about anything he did, including seeing Matilda :)
That girl's a half-orphan.
You forgot about the $$$ Heath left her, about his family and friends, that she has a mother and her family. She'll grow up just fine. I'm not a believer in the Jake/Heath friendship post-BBM, I would like to know how many times Jake saw Matilda when Heath was alive.
All of Heath's family and most of his friends live in Australia. Jake and Heath were friends, he is Matilda's godfather, he makes an effort to keep in touch (as does her godmother). Deal with it!
No Tweets about Source Code?
Unfortunately not yet.
Matt is an actor, Jake is an actor.
True.
Matt is in the closet, Jake is in the closet.
Please. What a ridiculous comparison. Matt is barely in a glass closet and goes out publicly with his partner and kids. Jake bearded for 2-1/2 years and is so deep in the closet he spouts nonsense about every man needing to find the right woman in life.
Matt deals with gay rumors, Jake deals with gay rumors.
Matt simply says his private life has brought him incredible happiness and wants to keep it private. He doesn't lie. I think we've seen how Jake deals with gay rumors.
Matt has a partner who has kids, Jake is rumored to have a partner and kid(s).
Please don't compare Matt and Simon Hall and Simon's kids, who actually exist and actually walk around in public, with the J&A and BT stuff.
Deal with it!
LOL! You have presented your opinion, not facts. Mine is just as valid as yours.
DiCaprio keeps in touch with goddaughter Ruby Maguire, Aniston keeps in touch with goddaughter Coco Arquette. Spielberg still keeps in touch and supports Drew Barrymore at premieres and she is a grown up.
DiCaprio and Maguire are BFFs, Aniston and Arquette are BFFS, Spielberg and Barrymore were always close. So what's your point?
So what's your point?
My point is they all keep in touch with their godchildren, so why shouldn't Jake? But he said he does and I believe him.
But he said he does and I believe him.
Yes, he also said he went to Heath's memorial, he also said every man should find the right woman, he also said he's straight. And those things are all true. Definitely.
2:34 PM - even if Jake wasn't her godfather, I'm 100% convinced he'd keep in touch. He's a good guy. I'm sure if he wasn't in that business where you can earn millions and millions of dollars for little work, he'd be out a long time ago. Despite all that, he's still a nice guy, I'm convinced.
I'm sure if he wasn't in that business where you can earn millions and millions of dollars for little work, he'd be out a long time ago
You know it can be just as hard for the "regular" person to worry about losing their $40,000/year job if they come out (and, yeah, it still happens).
I googled Leo DiCaprio and little Ruby. Cute
I wonder if one of his beards/model gf's will be his baby mom. If it was for the crazy Leo/Kate fanatics, Kate would be his babyma. LOL.
Will ‘Inception’ finally get Leonardo DiCaprio and Oscar past first base?
Article by Jeremy Helligar
I’m crazy about Oscar. I’m addicted to him. Totally hooked. I’ve read books on him, written (too many?) blog posts about him, followed his every move, spent countless hours trying to predict what he’ll do next. I’m like a stalker who just can’t get enough. And still, I just don’t get him.
Neither, so far, has Leonardo DiCaprio. But it’s not completely DiCaprio’s fault. Sure he’s never given that runaway, undeniable Academy Award-caliber performance. He’s never even been a frontrunner. But sometimes Oscar has such terrible taste in actors and actresses. He’ll go home with Hilary Swank (twice) but not with Peter O’Toole or Glenn Close or Julianne Moore or Ed Harris or Johnny Depp or Sigourney Weaver or Annette Bening or Laura Linney or Ralph Fiennes or Edward Norton or Jude Law. He’ll flirt with them, but he won’t go all the way. I swear, that guy is such a tease.
But if the early buzz on Inception holds up, next year he just might be ready to give in to DiCaprio.
It certainly would have taken him long enough. The star of Titanic, formerly the highest-grossing film of all time, has been Academy Award-nominated three times (for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Aviator and Blood Diamond). He’s toplined two Best Picture winners (Titanic and The Departed) and starred in two others (The Gangs of New York and The Aviator). He’s a rarity in Hollywood: an actor and a movie star, capable of carrying films that earn money and excellent reviews.
I can’t remember any DiCaprio film since Titanic with as much pre-release hype (the good kind) as Inception. The Christopher Nolan-directed sci-fi action thriller opens on July 16, and already it’s getting some of the best reviews of the careers of everyone involved. And when you consider Nolan’s credits (which include Memento and The Dark Knight) as well as DiCaprio’s Oscar-nominated-and/or-winning supporting cast — Ken Watanabe, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Berenger, Pete Postlethwaite and Michael Caine — that’s no minor accomplishment.
The film, whose confusing plot involves a thief of subconscious ideas looking for redemption, has a 100% rating so far on Rotten Tomatoes, based on eight reviews (as of July 6). Though biggies like the New York Times and Roger Ebert have yet to weigh in, Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers has, and he’s breathless in his enthusiasm.
The mind-blowing movie event of the summer arrives just in time to hold back the flow of Hollywood sputum that’s been sliming the multiplex. Inception…will be called many things, starting with ‘James Bond Meets The Matrix.’ You can feel the vibe of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner in it, and Nolan’s own Memento and The Dark Knight. But Inception glows with a blue-flame intensity all its own. Nolan creates a dream world that he wants us to fill with our own secrets. I can’t think of a better goal for any filmmaker.”
Will others concur? Probably. New raves seem to come in every day. And Oscar? The film’s sci-fi bent might hurt its Academy Award chances more than its mid-summer release date. No sci-fi film has ever won Best Picture (though Avatar presumably came close), but as The Hurt Locker, which was released in June of 2009, proved in March, it’s possible to launch a Best Picture frontrunner — and eventual winner — before December.
As for DiCaprio, what can I say? Depp and O’Toole aside, no other previously nominated actor is more deserving of Oscar’s company. He already has the momentum of having starred in an early 2010 hit, the Martin Scorcese-directed Shutter Island. And if Sandra Bullock can score for a middling effort like The Blind Side, winning for a unaninimously acclaimed film directed by the guy who got Heath Ledger a posthumous prize should be a cinch.
The Oscar race officially begins July 16.
Another Oscar nod is sure in store for Leo.
See, if someone like Leo came out as gay, now that'd make an impact. Bomer or even Jake are peanuts in comparison. Nobody really cares about some lightweigt like Bomer. Although he is miles ahead looks wise from Leo and even Jake.
Wow, one of the stupidest things I've read in a while. This guy is either dumb or wants hits from DiCaprio/Nolan fanboys.
Another Oscar nod is sure in store for Leo.
He won't be nominated for Inception, Shutter Island is more likely but a long shot.
Well, that's that then, lol. The pronouncement has been made by 3:07PM.
Well, that's that then, lol. The pronouncement has been made by 3:07PM.
Did you read the Inception reviews? Most say he's good but only a couple mention Oscar nomination. This early he needs REALLY strong reviews which he's not getting so far to stay with the critics till the awards season. Nevermind that SciFi films are not known for getting acting nominations. Special Effects, Best Picture, Directing, Screenplay, Score etc is a sure bet for Inception though. A lot of Oscar-baity movies with Oscar- baity performances will be out come fall.
"If Obama appeals it will mean he has no interest in ending DOMA."
If Obama thinks that opposing the repeal of DOMA will help him get re-elected, he'll appeal the Mass federal court ruling. And he won't give a damn what you think.
Deal with it!
LOL! You have presented your opinion, not facts. Mine is just as valid as yours.
Wrong. Jake said he's in contact with Michele and Matilda, that's more than just someone's opinion.
Leo & Oscar nod - if the fall/winter line up is weak, Leo could very well end up getting a nod for Inception. I think he's more likely to get a nod for Inception than Shutter Island.
Yes, he also said he went to Heath's memorial, he also said every man should find the right woman, he also said he's straight. And those things are all true. Definitely.
Please don't play dumb, just because closted gays lie about their sexuality doesn't mean they are pathological liars.
Please don't play dumb, just because closted gays lie about their sexuality doesn't mean they are pathological liars.
LOL. IA.
I think he's more likely to get a nod for Inception than Shutter Island.
I disagree. If it were Supporting Actor category and Inception wasn't a SciFi thriller his odds at a nom would look better. Inglorious Basterds, for example, came out last year roughly the same time Inception will but Christoph Waltz got very, very strong critics compared to Leo.
"The film stars DiCaprio, in a career-best performance..."
I've been reading Inception reviews and interviews and this ONTD comment sums it up: "I’m struck by how well DiCaprio choses projects and directors to work with. He thoroughly knows his craft and is dedicated to it."
I'm not a big Leo fan but he is GOOD. At acting, environmental causes, choosing his projects, playing the pr game. In the past few years, Jake, with all his Hollywood savvy and connections and determination to show "range" and not take himself so seriously (if that's what PoP was), is not.
I can't imagine Leo saying that he wants to take himself less seriously. He wouldn't have to say such a thing. He doesn't need to reinvent himself. Why does Jake think he has to?
Leo is serious and he doesn't apologize for it. He's in the big leagues. Chris Nolan is Big League. Nolan does original, nuanced work. Inception is an original. Even the cast...brilliant. This is the world I wish Jake was in. Not in a world of flaccid bandwagon movies (Rendition), pointless remakes (Brothers) and just-out-to-make-a-buck video game videos (PoP is not a film). Maybe LAOD and SC will be good, but... Leo is playing JEHoover next. With a (((Dustin Lance Black))) screenplay. That's on a different level.
Inglorious Basterds, for example, came out last year roughly the same time Inception will but Christoph Waltz got very, very strong critics compared to Leo.
Waltz is an amazing talent and I'm sure Leo's performance in I. won't even come close to Waltz's in IB, even though he probably did a very good job. I still think, if he gets a nod, it'll be for I. rather than SI.
I'm not a big Leo fan but he is GOOD.
Jake is a better actor than him IMO. Leo doesn't have much range (Jake hasn't shown a lot of it either yet), is not good with accents and overracts (Jake has a natural subtlety, I love that about him), but he's a household name, chooses his project wisely and is serious about acting.
4:03 PM, I'm not talking about talent, I'm talking about critical acclaim i.e. buzz. Waltz had a lot of buzz and his role was Oscar-baity, Leo doesn't and his role isn't. My opinion is he won't get nominated for Inception, I would even bet you. ;)
I'm not a big Leo fan but he is GOOD. At acting, environmental causes, choosing his projects, playing the pr game.
Absolutely. He learned to play the game well.
I remember shortly after Titanic when I read shit like him and his friends making fun of a poor woman who had a disability. Kate Winslet said in one of her recent interviews that she was proud of Leo, because he grew up so much. According to her he didn't even know what the word "charity" meant (literally) back then.
Leo has come a long way.
My opinion is he won't get nominated for Inception, I would even bet you. ;)
Alright, if we both still post here come award season 2010/11 and if Leo gets a nod for Inception, I'll write "I told you so". You'll know I mean you. ;)
Jake is a better actor than him IMO. Leo doesn't have much range (Jake hasn't shown a lot of it either yet), is not good with accents and overracts (Jake has a natural subtlety, I love that about him), but he's a household name, chooses his project wisely and is serious about acting.
Jake did a good English accent in PoP. Generally he is good with accents. He just needs to take acting more seriously again and start choosing his projects a bit better again.
I'll write "I told you so". You'll know I mean you.
LOL :)
Chris Nolan is Big League.
ITA. A really, really smart guy. And his cast is brilliant because he won't settle for less and because gifted actors want to work with him.
4:17 PM, if I'm still around it will be me with the "I told you so". ;)
I find it funny that posters here cheer for Anne to get a nom for LAOD, Leo for Inception but no one says they hope Jake will get one for LAOD. This is a Jake site, is it not? LOL
I wish Jake would get Oscar buzz for LAOD, but so far all the buzz is for Anne and who knows if Anne will continue to get buzz when the film is seen by more critics.
From the upcoming fall and winter releases "The Kids Are All Right" with Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo and "Blue Valentine" with Michelle and Gosling are getting much early buzz.
Oh, good grief. The only reason people were talking Oscar for Anne was because some very early reviews mentioned it. No one just pulled it out of the air to be anti-Jake. And the reason we're talking possible Oscar for Leo is because his movie comes out next week, it's getting rave reviews and there was an article posted about a possible nomination. No one pulled that out of the air to be anti-Jake, either.
4:27 is right - there hasn't been Oscar buzz for Jake yet. Maybe he will get it. It's really too early to tell. It was probably too early for that reviewer to talk Oscar for Anne. I'm sure we'll hear more about LAOD and Jake's Oscar chances closer to release date. Just because there is talk about Leo and his current movie doesn't mean it's a put-down of Jake. And no one is stopping you from saying that you hope Jake gets an Oscar nom for LAOD. Go ahead!
4:36 PM, it was a simple observation. I guess it got under your skin.
Maybe LAOD and SC will be good, but... Leo is playing JEHoover next. With a (((Dustin Lance Black))) screenplay.
Cool, but is this confirmed?
Matt is in the closet, Jake is in the closet.
Please. What a ridiculous comparison.
What comparison? They are both in the closet, you can't deny that, and that is one of the reasons why I'm interesed in Bomer, to learn how different actors deal with fake straight image.
Please don't play dumb, just because closted gays lie about their sexuality doesn't mean they are pathological liars.
Did I say he was a pathological liar? No, I didn't and I don't believe he is but I believe he lies like any other human being when he feels he has to or when when it's in his interest. Like lying to those fans about going to Heath's memorial which has nothing to do with Jake being closeted. Maybe he had good reasons, I'm not judging and I don't care, still not telling the truth is not telling the truth, you can spin as you wish.
FYI, I'm not a J/M shipper. I saw both sightings and voiced my opinion. The Jake sighting is probably not credible anyway.
Did I say he was a pathological liar?
You implied it. BTW, please don't try to present your opinion as fact ("lying to those fans about going to Heath's memorial").
You implied it. BTW, please don't try to present your opinion as fact ("lying to those fans about going to Heath's memorial").
No, I didn't imply it. I gave examples of Jake lying to show he's capable of lying because apparently some people think he isn't. Btw, it's not my opinion, I know he didn't go. But I don't care about convincing you or anyone else so if it makes you feel better to think he went go ahead.
Btw, it's not my opinion, I know he didn't go.
Of course you don't know what Jake did or didn't do, and I'm sure you didn't attend all Heath's memorials.
Of course you don't know what Jake did or didn't do, and I'm sure you didn't attend all Heath's memorials.
Now who's playing dumb? If one day Jake writes a memoir or someone close to Jake or Heath talks about this, you'll see.
Playing dumb??? I'm just stating the obvious - you and the rest of us do NOT know what Jake did or didn't do.
Whenever LAOD is screened there are raves about Anne but barely a mention of Jake. Strange. As noted his personal charisma does not seem to transfer to the big screen. He needs to try HBO or Showtime. Lots of stars are doing it. And its odd that there were not twitters re Source Codes screening. Especially from a regular twitterer like Duncan Jones.
True. It's odd.
Playing dumb???
Yeah, playing dumb. Like being there would be the only way of knowing he didn't attend? It's like saying I don't know Jake is gay because I haven't seen him have sex with a man with my own eyes. Luckily people in the know talk sometimes, that's how we get good, juicy gossip. This isn't any different, and this source is trustworthy. Anyway, the point is Jake lies like the rest of us mortals. Shocking, I know.
February 11, 2009 - Out For Coffee With Peter In NYC
^^Aww with Peter. :)
I think Peter and Maggie are such lovely, talented and cool people.
On top of all that, Maggie has a great career. Good for her.
I agree Bomer is in a glass closet, but please, he is hardly projecting a fake straight image. No beard, no every man needs to find a woman, no swinging bachelor out with the models.....
Bomer is relevant because he is a leading man make the girls swoon kind of actor. He is not a character or theater actor where it does not matter as much.
I also have faith he will cross over to movies--or I should say do more than the few he has.
The cast of Inception is a dream cast - every last one of them I love.
IA with you that Jake has been caught in lies before. IA also that there are times that people in the know gossip. Was your source involved with the event and didn't see Jake there or do they know personally and know for a fact he wasn't there? I'm curious because if it is someone that knows Jake personally, would they or have they said he's gay? Because there are a few people who have claimed they know for a fact Jake is gay and have seen him with a boyfriend/date.
Bomer is relevant because he is a leading man make the girls swoon kind of actor.
Nice looks but he's one-dimensional as an actor. Jake is much more interesting.
Have you actually watched White Collar??
Don't think Jake is all that interesting as an actor, I'd call him "serviceable" and a decent actor.
FYI Michelle is not in LA.
She filming in Toronto and spent the long week-end with Matilda at Algonquin Park. A woman and her family met them and takes photos of Matilda. I'm not a Michelle-fan but I'm happy to read this: http://asprayson.wordpress.com/2010/07/07/just-a-mom-2/
I'm interested in Bomer, too. That's why I post about him :) But their "closets" are not at all the same and Bomer doesn't attempt to put on a "fake straight image" with regard to his personal life, i.e., he doesn't beard and he doesn't talk about finding a woman to be his soul-mate, etc.
Nice looks but he's one-dimensional as an actor. Jake is much more interesting.
That's fine, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not Bomer is relevant to this blog and the discussion of gay actors dealing with the public.
This isn't any different, and this source is trustworthy.
It is completely different, we have 10.000 showmance photographs, not some "trustworthy source" bullshit.
4:36 PM, it was a simple observation. I guess it got under your skin.
LOL. "Simple observation." Nice try. It's obvious that any positive talk about anyone except Jake gets under your skin. Yep, I was irritated at how petty and paranoid that came across to me.
Thanks Davide!
We went to Algonquin Park during the long weekend in July. My cousin and her family go every year for the long weekend, and we joined them in the wilderness this year.
Who we met made our visit even a little more special…
just a mom.
I'm not a Michelle-fan but I'm happy to read this
...
And it was easy. Because, she (Michelle) was there as a mom. And as a mom, it’s not a difficult task to connect with other moms. So, we all spent the day together. Our three families, playing, talking, hiking, sharing. It was wonderful to meet such a sweet, quiet, lovely woman, who just happened to be an accomplished actress, and a newly single mom, struggling with so many of the same issues that anyone, with a much smaller life struggles with.
She talked about Matilda’s daddy. With fondness and with love. She worries about her daughter and enjoys all the little things that every mother enjoys. She finds joy in her little girl’s accomplishments and faces the same fears and hopes that any mother does.
And she is doing such a wonderful job as a mom. Matilda is expressive and lovely. She is caring and empathetic. She enjoyed every moment of being surrounded by little boys. In some ways, the life ahead of her will be more challenging than what other children go through. Looking at her though, she has a doting mom and, I’m sure a proud dad who watches her from somewhere.
And Michelle has a great reminder of Matilda’s daddy, because he beams from his little girl.
just a mom.
Thank you, Davide, for bringing this to our attention. It's an honest and touching piece.
Every person is different, every Hollywood closet is different, but the reason for the closet is the same: fake straight image.
Wow, that was a beautiful piece about Michelle and Matilda. Thank you, Davide. :)
Jake still in MV
So Austin was back in LA just to do a photo op with Sophia? Or Austin and Jake are in LA all the time and PR is arranging Jake's MV tweets and photo(s)?
Posh Spice is just like us: "I am a gay man in woman's body so God supposes I should love singers like Lady GaGa."
So Austin was back in LA just to do a photo op with Sophia? Or Austin and Jake are in LA all the time and PR is arranging Jake's MV tweets and photo(s)?
LOL. Or maybe they hired look-alikes and fake Austin was posing with Sophia while the real Austin was in MV (but hiding inside since there are no sightings of him there). Or maybe the fake Jake has been in MV all this time while the real Jake stayed at home while Austin ran around town with Sophia. Or maybe the real J&A are off on a deserted island somewhere with BT and the fake J&A are in MV and L.A.
Hired look-alikes? Good thinking! :)
