Nobody's Business But Ours

Heath Ledger, Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal
Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the busiest actors in Hollywood, so when you get some face time with him — it doesn’t matter who you are — you take it.

***

We had only another 10 minutes, and there were some things I needed to talk to him about. For starters, Jake has rarely talked publicly about Heath Ledger’s death. I wasn’t sure if I’d get anything out of him, but I had to ask.

“A year ago, Entertainment Weekly spoke to a lot of people for a piece about Heath Ledger. The screenwriter, producer and cinematographer of Brokeback Mountain all talked. You were conspicuously absent. Are you uncomfortable remembering him in public?”

“Yes,” he said, pausing. “Brokeback was painful. Any time you go into pain, I don’t think you necessarily want to go back. But the results of that film, and how the public responded to it so hugely, were worth it. Walking through any kind of pain is usually worth it. As close as we all became making that movie, for all those other people, it didn’t extend much farther than [the movie itself], so that experience of work could be easily talked about for publications. The experience Heath and I had was also shared publicly with all the press and publicity we did. But what we shared as friends, though I respect the interest that so many people have in the mourning and grieving process and how it feels to other people, I feel like — and I don’t mean this in an unkind way — but I don’t think it’s anybody’s business but his and mine. So in that sense, to really respect him — and also the way he felt about his life and his private life and what he cared about, because he was a deeply caring and loving human being — every time anybody asks me any question about him, it would be like he was sitting next to me, and I know he would roll his eyes, because that’s the way he was. It was between us.”

If we didn’t talk about anything else, I knew I had something of consequence. And I was confident that what Jake had just said was as far and as deep and as sincere as he could go with this — you could feel the anguish in his words. So I moved on.

I knew that Jake named his production company after the J.D. Salinger book Nine Stories, and with Salinger’s death earlier this year, I asked him when he first read Catcher in the Rye.

“When I was 13,” he said. “My sister gave it to me. I subsequently became Salinger-obsessed. I had never been engaged in reading before. It was primarily the style and the pace of it, and the simplicity of his writing. Of his Nine Stories, my favorite is ‘Teddy.’ It’s an amazing story. Searching for Bobby Fischer is one of my favorite movies. There are themes running through both. Children are very often asked to do more than they should be asked to do at a very young age.”

“Let’s talk about that, only with your own family,” I said. “Your parents are creative people; there must have been a lot of emotion and passion growing up.”

“I saw a lot of conflicts, definitely. I witnessed that. Conflict, competition, people pushing each other — it’s all healthy. Jealousy is healthy; envy is dangerous. My sister and I, strangely and beautifully, have worked really, really hard at getting rid of whatever the junk is.”

“Your sister had a good story to tell about you making her lousy pancakes on the morning she heard she was nominated for an Oscar for Crazy Heart.”

“You heard that?!” Jake exclaimed with his first big laugh of the morning. “They were the worst pancakes I ever made. It was weird. She was staying at my house, and the phone rang at 5 a.m. There are two things it can be at that time: an emergency, or, if you’re in the movie business, you’ve been nominated for some kind of award. I, of course, thought it was an emergency and totally got freaked out. She comes out of her room and I hear her gasp, and I thought, ‘Oh, God, something really bad has happened.’ I came out to the hallway and asked her what was going on. She said, ‘I was nominated!’ And we ran to each other and hugged each other.”

Keram is back, and he has news that will send both Toothy Tile fanbois and a certain group of dykes into a major tizzy: Austin Nichols is fucking his "One Tree Hill" co-star Daphne Zuniga. Just casual sex, to be sure -- Daphne is more interested in her work helping the environment than committing to any long-term relationship, and Austin's pickings are slim in Bumfucke North Carolina where they spend most of the year shooting (and dating townie girls is a bad idea altogether) -- but it's happening. Austin has had the hots for her ever since watching MP as a kid and isn't minding the 20-year age difference. Daphne doesn't typically "do" younger guys but finds this "cougar" thing bemusing, at least for now. The fling's on hold while they're on hiatus, however, and no one seems to know if it'll get going again when shooting starts later this summer.

Keram was expecting to hear that Brandon Routh-rhymes-with-south hooked up with hunky Chris Evans on the set of their new movie, but was borderline shocked to hear the object of his affection was instead Kieran Culkin, whom Keram was previously sure was straight. Guess those chiseled cheekbones and 6'4" muscles can do a number on an open-minded indie actor. Evans appears to be comfortably straight and entirely comfortable with having an openly gay actor brother, though Keram does wonder if Scott Evans' open sexual orientation has kept him from getting out of the soap ghetto.

Keram knows that Orlando Bloom turned down the fourth "Pirates" film to star with Logan Lerman (a long-time crush) in the yet-another-remake of "The Three Musketeers." Filming, and fucking, has not yet commenced, but given Logan's frankly slutty nature, Keram anticipates zero likelihood Orlando won't succeed.

Dear Ted:
Who is raising Baby Tile? I'm guessing if both his dads are so attached to their respective closets, they wouldn't both be living with Baby Tile full-time. And the beard for Daddy Grey Goose, does she know Baby Tile exists? If so, does she spend quality time with Baby? I'm so curious about how this unusual family works/doesn't work. Betsy and Tacy, my two rescue kitties, are also curious about this whole sitch. Details, please!

Dear Family Matters:
Darling, this was all arranged ages ago—by professionals. And it largely continues to remain so (to the knowledge of everyone involved, of course), with the exception of Toothy himself.

Dear Ted:
I love the fact that Bono is all about helping others (AIDS, Third World debt reduction, civil rights, etc.). Glad to hear he's on the mend from back surgery. Has my favorite singer and do-gooder ever been a Blind Vice?
—Viking

Dear Wrong Rocker:
Nope, you must be thinking of Sting.

Dear Ted:
As a fellow cat lover, I was just wondering; as Crescent Kumquat is just getting into the closet, is he taking any pointers on how to behave from the more experienced inhabitants, for example good old Toothy?
—Ida

Dear Role Model:
Not so much Toothy. More Topher Hairy-Tuchas with his Internet hook ups and whatnot.

Dear Come To Hollywood:
Sure, I'd see it. Maybe a caveman romance so we can get Rob in a loin cloth? Just a suggestion. But could you imagine the tabloid headlines? "Scarlet Johansson Leaving Hubby For R.Pattz!" No thanks, Reese rumors are stupid enough for me.

Ted said..."this was all arranged ages ago—by professionals. And it largely continues to remain so (to the knowledge of everyone involved, of course), with the exception of Toothy himself."

I think this reply connects Toothy with the Shafterella blind item yesterday. It means that at the moment everything continues according to the original plan designed by Toothy’s management/PR team (bearding and keeping the baby away from the public eye), except Toothy, because the Reeke bearding failed to last longer as it was the initial plan.

Another clue is that this Toothy question is followed by another question with a mention of Reese (Shafterella).

Anonymous said...

"Darling, this was all arranged ages ago—by professionals.

Professionals = Toothy's management and PR team. They arranged the bearding and keeping BT away from the public eye.

"And it largely continues to remain so (to the knowledge of everyone involved, of course), with the exception of Toothy himself.

Exception to the original plan because Reeke ended before its expected time.

So, is Ted saying that Jake doesn't know that BT exists?

I thought he's saying that BT is taken care of by professionals (nannies etc.) and Toothy (Toothy's the father, not a professional baby caretaker). Interesting that Goose isn't mentioned; it implies that Toothy is the main parent and has BT more than Goose.

Anonymous said...

It makes sense to me - Austin can't afford secret kid.

Anonymous said...

"^^3:04PM, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the questions, which were about who is caring for the alleged BT."

It has several questions, not one:

1) Who is raising Baby Tile?
2) And the beard for Daddy Grey Goose, does she know Baby Tile exists?
3)If so, does she spend quality time with Baby?
4) how this unusual family works/doesn't work.
5) Details, please!

Ted is answering about the situation in general.

Not sure if this has already been asked, but first question is: Do Toothy and Grey Goose actively raise Baby Tile, or was this a "sire" situation? I LOVE Daphne Zuniga. I think she's uber cool--and I like the choices she has made (I'm also her age so I can relate to her far more than Sophia Bush). I think it's FANTASTIC if she is doing Austin and if she is, I can't imagine someone as smart as Daphne thinking it might have long term possibilities but...I don't believe it for one bit. And when would Austin even have TIME for Daphne with the beard constantly shadowing him?

Sorry--total fiction. And I love Daphne. But this I don't believe one bit.

Daphne and Austin I'd put in the same category as Henry and Jake - nice fantasy pairing, but don't beieve it. That said, it's pretty swoon-worthy. :)

Anonymous said...

Reeke bearding failed to last longer - if that was the case - doesn't change anything.
If anything, Reeke made BT situation even worse because bearding and hiding baby is worse PR than just hiding baby, and because BT has to stay in the closet much longer.

Anonymous said...

If there is BT, then the nanny/nannies are the main caretakers of the kid, cause Jake still works normally and goes out with pals etc...like he used to as a single.

True, major reason to believe that BT doesn't exist.

Anonymous said...

Do you mean 'previous professional BEARDING arrangements'?

I guess that too. But what I mean is maybe he's getting tired of the arrangements and hassle of hiding BT and not being able to take him out in public like a normal parent. It's a lot of work and it takes a lot of time to hide a little white lie, much less a baby. Of course if a person is getting paid to keep quiet and cover it up, like being the nanny or getting hush money, it makes it a lot easier - it's their job and their detachment is obvious. But to Jake BT is more than that. Maybe Jake is planning something like a "Oops I didn't realize a pap was there" non-PR-sanctioned unofficial photo op.

As time goes on, is harder to believe in BT. Sandy's baby was very young, and after three months she stopped keeping it a secret. I don't think Jake as a parent would do that to a child. There comes a time when it can't be hidden - Ricky Martin, Clay Aiken, Sandra Bullock, and others.

Anonymous said...

How could I forget about Jake's second toddler? ;)

Anonymous said...

After finding out about Sandy's baby, I'm more convinced than ever that toddler Tile is real.

What's wrong with this argument:

1. adoption process was a secret only because Sandy wanted privacy

2. Sandy did't adopt a baby with the intention to hide him X years

3. the point isn't hiding BT, the point is RAISING BT in the closet. Kids don't just need doctors and dentists, kids need other kids as playmates and opportunities to learn about the world, nature and people.

LOL most parents also work normally and go out with friends. What, you think children are attached to their parent's hip and upon becoming a parent a person's life is over?! No socialization ever again unless it's with other families, no outside activities during the week after 9:00 pm, curfew on weekends is midnight, and definitely nothing like concerts, bars or drinking. You're a parent now: stay home and get a 9-5 job preferably in an insurance office pushing paper (no risky jobs for you) but only if you really need to work. No work-related travel or stints overseas.

like he used to as a single. Of course. He has to look single doesn't he. And straight.

LOL most parents also work normally and go out with friends.

A lot of couples, if they can afford it, have one parent stay home to raise the kids. A couple I am acquained with, they made the decision that the wife would be the breadwinner and the husband stays home with the kids. Her job is more secure and makes more $$$. Obviously, your life changes when you have children, you don't usually keep the same work and social pace, and why would you want to. Why have children if you don't want to/cant' be with them if you had a choice in the matter? Having children as accessories to your life makes no sense and isn't fair to them.

Ted's BI is very cryptic this time. My first impression is that the entire thing was made up by PR, and that there is no BT.

Has it ever been confirmed (well...) from who's genes Baby Tile actually derives, Toothy's or Grey Goose's? Who's his or her biological father?
Just curious.

Anonymous said...

That's one reason. Another is, I'm sure you've heard the expression "I don't care what you write about me as long as you spell my name right." Keeping your name in the news. Having babies is trendy; people reading about love children. This is what jumped out at me when I read that it was all arranged by professionals with the exception of TT.

Anonymous said...

I do believe what Ted initially said re. TT/FF and I definitely don't believe Jake is straight. But BT is such BS. Maybe Jake's PR fed him BS on purpose to make him less credible? It's very possible.

Anonymous said...

Of course Jake has to go out to look single. Only married men with children never go out.

People with kids go out, espcially if they can afford full-time care.

Four years ago I would have never expected Jake to beard, let alone with a fame-whoring bitch.

So would Jake hide his own child and leave it to nannys to take out? Sadly yes.

And if Sandra can hide one while being chased by paps because of oscar and scandal, then why not Toothy. It's not like he gets papped at home.

Anonymous said...

^^I understand it as everything else is BS, except that Jake = TT.

It's now becoming too complicated of a plot to be real for me. Jake may very well be gay; the big deal for me is that such a drop-dead gorgeous man doesn't have women all over him. What makes you think that Jake's outings are spontaneous? There are 24 hours in a day. Babies sleep a lot. If there is a BT it is about four months shy of being 3 years old. Toddlers that age need as much as 12 hours of sleep per day. Yes, I think Jake could live a healthy adult lifestyle with the assistance of a nanny/caregiver with no problem at all. Just like any other parent.

Anonymous said...

Just like any other parent.

What other parent? Gay parents like Clay and Ricky who used their money to stay with kids and watch them grow?

Anonymous said...

I have two girlfriends, both married with a child. One never goes out with friends ever since she got married, let alone now that she has a little child. The other goes out with friends every once in a while (at least), her hubby too. It depends on the person. Some value their own private life too, others are just all about the spouse and child(ren). It's a personal choice, but it also depends on the partner and culture and maybe education.

Anonymous said...

What other parent? Gay parents like Clay and Ricky who used their money to stay with kids and watch them grow?

Lots of parents live active adult lives after having children. No one knows how often Jake might be at home. He doesn't wear a tracking or GPS device, you know. Just because you see him out on a Thursday night or having some breakfast/coffee in the morning, leaves lots of room for more domesticated activities.

Anonymous said...

Jake going out a lot is just ONE reason to believe there is no BT. What about time when BT was just a baby? Jake filmed Brothers, Nailed and PoP during BT's first year. Jake wanted a baby so other people could raise BT?

Anonymous said...

No one knows how often Jake might be at home.

We know that Jake filmed 5 movies since BT was born. We know that Jake couldn't keep BT and nanny in the trailers. It is easy to see that Jake didn't have time to raise BT properly or that he's a lousy father.

Anonymous said...

Baby might have been on location with him and a nanny in New Mexico. Or maybe with Austin? Or maybe, being only a few months old, more than likely surrounded by loving caregivers in Los Angeles. Remember a three month old needs 15-16 hours of sleep per day.

For you, it might be an easier answer, but I wouldn't be so judgmental about the "proper" raising of a baby. Any ideas when will Jake introduce BT to the world? When BT is 16?

Anonymous said...

Well, yes, there would be no other reason other than to discredit the TT saga

3 years after Ted still didn't find out that BT doesn't exist?

Anonymous said...

You believe that raising kids in the closet is good for them?,

I frankly dont' have enough information to know what that means. So I'm reserving judgment, for now.

Anonymous said...

I have a strong feeling that he'd be a 100% commited father. He loves children so much, imagine how much he'd love his own (if he ever has one), he'd be absolutely crazy about him/her.

Not just a feeling, Jake seemed crazy about Boo.

Anonymous said...

I frankly dont' have enough information to know what that means. So I'm reserving judgment, for now.

We do have more than enough information about what babies and kids need to be happy and healthy, hiding in the closet is not on the list.

6:04 PM # 2 - they were just fucking with Ted. And Ted probably knows that by now.

Okay, fucking with Ted, whatever. You still wouldn't do it unless there was some truth to TT.

Anonymous said...

Who's to say that Jake and Austin aren't excellent fathers and that, for now, their child is both happy and healthy. As they grow older, that's another thing. But, at such a young toddler age, love and nurturing is what is most required and I just have a feeling that BT has plenty of that. Just an opinion, just like yours.

Anonymous said...

I frankly dont' have enough information to know what that means.

It means, among other things, that Jake can't take BT to public places like restaurants, airports, parks, ZOOs, medical buildings, amusement centres, foodshops, cinemas, theatres, museums, schools, ...

Anonymous said...

Okay, fucking with Ted, whatever. You still wouldn't do it unless there was some truth to TT.

I have no problem with TT, I have a problem with BT. If Ted knows that BT doesn't exist, why is he silent about it? If he doesn't know, how come he didn't find out the truth after 4 years?

You are ignoring all FACTS that can be used to indicate that Jake and Austin prefered their work over taking care of BT or BTs.

I have two girlfriends, both married with a child. One never goes out with friends ever since she got married, let alone now that she has a little child. The other goes out with friends every once in a while (at least), her hubby too.

Which movies have your girlfriends been in? Did they get paid $5 million or $10 million? I sure hope it wasn't a measly $2 million - they're probably barely scraping by and can't afford nannies anymore. The economy is horrible these days.

Please don't play dumb. People don't have kids via surrogate and in secret so they could dump them with nannies.

Anonymous said...

6:56, there's no doubt Jake can afford nannies. But the guy did Brothers, Nailed, PoP and reeking, all in the first months of BT's life. So, why have a baby at such an inappropriate time? From the looks of it he barely spent time with the kid.

Anonymous said...

Nonsense. How do you get love and nurturing if the parents aren't with them? Nannies aren't the anwser to everything. This child is what, two going on three? They don't call it the terrible twos for nothing. It's a very active age.

Even, today many folks don't even think that gays should have children because it isn't proper.

So how does projecting a child onto Jake and/or Austin make a difference with this?

How does not believing Jake has a child enter into this? What you have mentioned is a separate issue. When you say poster child for a cause, you really mean it literally don't you.

Jake Gyllenhaal has no hidden toddlers in his L.A. mansion. This is too ridiculous. I bet Jake would laugh his ass of if he knew that some people actually believe this shit.

That's what some have said to me when I talk about this. No matter what kind of spin some try to put on it, the prospect of this working has gotten way too complicated to follow now.

It's [how to properly raise children] a personal choice.

Now this I believe. I don't know why some think leaving a child with a nanny for extended periods is the right way to raise a child.

Anonymous said...

Jake must be a very convincing actor to pretend to Lorraine Kelly (?) that he isn't a father already.
Either he is a damn good actor or he simply really isn't father yet.
You choose!

Well, he is Oscar-nominated and he won a BAFTA :) Having said that, I don't believe there is a BT.

Has it ever been confirmed (well...) from who's genes Baby Tile actually derives, Toothy's or Grey Goose's? Who's his or her biological father?

LOL.
Part of Jake's job is to be seen, in movies, at functions and for PR/pap shoots.

With the exception of POP it took only weeks to film each project.

Actors have a lot of power in their list of demands for housing while filming.

Actors have access to corporate jets.

Making movies is a major "hurry up and wait" environment - there's a massive amount of downtime involved on set.

Just because people plan their family - use surrogates, use birth control, adopt - doesn't mean they won't hire a nanny or spend time, little or big, away from the child.

We do not see Jake's life 24/7.

Anonymous said...

Ricky and Clay have both stated that they have taken some time off to raise and be with their kids, which is what any good father would do. I can't imagine Jake not doing that either if he does have a child.

Anonymous said...

^^They can also afford nannies.

Anonymous said...

We do not see Jake's life 24/7.

No, but we do have common sense when it comes to these things.

Anonymous said...

...doesn't mean they won't hire a nanny or spend time, little or big, away from the child.

It means that they will most likely try to limit any long-term separations, and rearrange their schedules/films so that it won't affect their family life. I don't see Jake doing that.

Anonymous said...

Making movies is a major "hurry up and wait" environment - there's a massive amount of downtime involved on set.

So what? Jake didn't drive to the hotel / London house to see BT every time he had a break on the PoP movie set and PoP filming lasted almost 6 months.

Anonymous said...

With the exception of POP it took only weeks to film each project.

Please, no need for obvious lies like that.

Anonymous said...

Six months is a long time in a child's life. I still say why have one if you are going to have to leave the child in another's care. And trucking him or her all around the globe isn't a good idea either.

It's getting way too conspiritorial now - hush money, cover-up relationships, professional arrangers. Money will run out at some time, won't it? This rumor has run its course.

Anonymous said...

This is too ridiculous.

So the stroller unpacked from the car in Paris, the lady who matches Evelyn's/Jake's assistant from a few years ago walking with a baby, the wet baby footprint on Jake's shorts, the HW guy who tweeted he saw "Jake and his kid" at the Getty, the mystery baby #2 in the van with Reeke, Paul Rudd and Rudd's kid, is what - just a whole bunch of coincidences?

Each one of these alone would mean very little but when put together, wow. It paints a different story, one about "baby makes three." Or in typical wealthy terms "baby and nanny makes four."

Anonymous said...

With the exception of POP it took only weeks to film each project.

Many weeks. Jake made at least three films last year, didn't he? Plus all the promotion and appearances that go with them. Austin also had his fair share of activities. Who's minding the store while they are gone? SuperNanny I guess. :(

Anonymous said...

Being wealthy enough to have a nanny doesn't mean the child will be raised any better. I knew that was going to be the rationale. Some of the most poorly adjusted children are the ones with little parental involvement. You need more than wealth alone. Substituting money and material things doesn't make up for the lack of it.

Anonymous said...

Please, no need for obvious lies like that.

Please, no accusations and insults like yours. All those movies took several weeks to make and you know it. Actors also fly back and forth from locations to wherever, and they aren't needed on set all the time. If you think moviemaking for an actor means 8-5 Monday thru Friday, well you need to wake up.

Anonymous said...

So the stroller unpacked from the car in Paris ... - just a whole bunch of coincidences?

All those things can be used to argue that there is BT, but aren't proof that BT exist.

Anonymous said...

Sometimes the hours are worse, from what I have heard. It takes hours in makeup and costume alone, depending on the film of course. Some need to wake up and realize they've been had. There is no baby tile.

Anonymous said...

Here's a question: why would Jake be going through all of these tremendously complicated machinations to conceal his child? Why not just do what Ricky and Clay have done and announce it? There will always be his films.

Anonymous said...

Please, no accusations and insults like yours. All those movies took several weeks to make and you know it.

Sorry, none of those movies took only several weeks to make.

I agree with what you say. However where in the world is it assumed that Jake would be the perfect attentive parent?! Just because he might be a lousy absent parent means there's no BT? Pulease. The only thing he had to be there for was the sperm donation.

Stroller could have been for Deacon. The Paris woman and the assistant don't look like the same woman to me. The stain on Jake's shirt could be anything. @ Getty... could have been a friend's kid.
I guess I missed the Reeke and Rudd story. Could you fill me in?

Anonymous said...

The wet baby footprint could have been photoshopped. You could drive a truck through the rest of the so-called coincidences. Who knows who's stroller it was.

7:55, since he consciously made a decision to have a child, and it wasn't an accident, I would assume he would really want one and be an attentive father, as caring about them as he appears to be with children he is seen with.

I thought it was determined that the stroller in the van and the stroller in the Paris garden pic/video was not the same kind of stroller.

The easiest thing he could do was say he adopted a child. If he wanted to keep his personal life out of it, he wouldn't even have to mention a partner involved.

I know you're going to say I'm a liar blah blah but truth is I used to work in HW. Believe me there is a lot of hurry up and wait and odd hours. For the actors it's not hard constant labor without any breaks and no allowances for amenities. They have a lot of free time in the trailer.

Anonymous said...

The easiest thing he could do was say he adopted a child.

On his own? That would be like coming out without saying 'I'm gay'.

The stroller is not a proof that BT exist, you can't change facts.

Adopting a child on your own is not an automatic statement that you are gay. I remember reading about an actor who has done it recently, and I think he is straight. Many single people adopt. People love children, no matter what their sexuality. He wouldn't have to address the rumors any more than he does now.

It is if you adopt a child when you're handsome, rich and 27.

8:19, I don't think there's a BT. That was my reason for Jake not having kids, until he can give the attention the child deserves. I agree, it's not a healthy environment, the typical celebrity lifestyle.

A celebrity couple who seem like great parents are Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. Always seen with their kids doing family things, I don't ever see nannies. I'm sure they must have one for help, the the major parenting they seem to do.

Projecting much?

Desperate much? Closeted gay actors don't rent surrogate mothers because they are bored, they do it because they really, really want to have kids. And when you want kids you want to give them good life.

Sorry to burst your bubble but people have kids for many different reasons: because everyone else is doing it, status symbol, boredom, loneliness, to save a relationship, because they think it's expected of them, their parents want to be grandparents. And guess what: the road to hell was paved with good intentions. Just because a baby is present doesn't mean a parent's boredom and selfishness isn't. Especially when dealing with creative types like actors who are children themselves and want to be the center of attention. They aren't like the rest of the world. I'm not saying that all actor's kids aren't well adjusted adults, but face it - damn few are.

8:33, I think Jake is fairly well adjusted for one who has practically grown up in Hollywood. If he makes a decision to have a child, I think it would be for the right reasons. That's why I think he's not ready yet, but will when the time is right. For two men having children, it's a more thought-out decision, I would think. It's too complicated of a process to do it for the reasons you mention.

If you believe that Jake is Toothy then you have to believe in Baby Tile or Tiles. Ted has stated several times there is a Baby Tile. A real live human one. Seems like Jake and Austin vary their schedules enough so that one of them is home while the other is away. There are grandmas and nannies to help out too. In reality the chances of it staying hidden
are going to decline exponentially with time no matter how well they planned.

Todays Toothy mention is confusing but most of the AT was devoted to twilight and its stars. The Toothy mention seems like more of an afterthought. The attention getter was yesterdays shafterella.

IMO it is possible to hide someone/something for an amount of time but one day someone will talk, a picture will emerge.
On a filmset like PoP hundreds of people are involved and nobody will make me believe a child/nanny in a trailer are not discussed among the extras, assistants or temporary stuff - just one example.

You think Ted Casablanca's track record is flawless? There are contradictions and he's been wrong on info in vices and on gossip items in the past. Ted is the best at cleverly mixing truth and fiction but only a fool would swallow everything he says.

BT rumor was a poison pill to discredit JIG scenario. Ted went for it because it was juicy and he needed to ramp up the TT story. He's still milking BT because to back down now would throw TT into question. Which was the original intention of the poison pill. So Ted's in a corner, especially with poor BTBelievers from OMG emailing him about it all the time.

BT does more to discredit the Jake-is-gay meme than anything else, and you people who keep pushing it must know that.

It still does not convince me though that he avoided the issue for any other reason other than Disney and PoP. His answer was worded perfectly. I can finally put this issue behind. I am sure Jake was very saddened that Heath passed.

A lot of talk about BT and it seems that many here on WFT2 dont believe there is a BT. I understand that. None of us have proof. Shit none of us have proof that Jake is Gay. I very much think he is. reeke convinced me 100%. As far as BT who knows. I do think it is possible they could pull it off. But damn the days have to numbered that they will be able to continue. "The thing" is the movie. "Up with the kid" is probably one of the movie kids and irl he played with Ramona. He compared his interactions with Ramona (in real life) and one of the kids in the movie. That's my interpretation.
