Well, this movie in particular ... it's a smaller-budget film. And we're shooting this movie in 28 days, which is a short amount of time to make a film. The only shorter film I've made is 22 days, which was this film called End of Watch ... [where] we spent most of our waking and non-waking time making the movie. You know, it was sort of like a bender the whole time.
This movie's very similar. So we push as the week goes on. We start at 6 a.m. on Monday. [Now it's] a Thursday night, and we'll probably go until 3 or 4 a.m. to finish it off.

Cross Creek Pictures has swooped in to save the deadly mountain-climbing film Everest.
Universal and Working Title scrambled to find a partner after financiers Randall Emmett and George Furla exited the film in October. But when the Nov. 6 production start passed, the Everest prognosis was grim, much like the true story in Jon Krakauer's Into Thin Air, one of several accounts of an expedition that left eight dead. Jake Gyllenhaal was sent to the emergency room after punching a mirror on the Los Angeles set of his new film Nightcrawler Wednesday morning.
"Jake flipped out," a Nightcrawler source tells PEOPLE. "His character was looking into a mirror during the scene and punched the mirror in anger and broke it, cutting himself so bad he had to be taken to a hospital."
And while a source close to Gyllenhaal, 32, confirms the actor received stitches in the emergency room, the source says the reason for the incident was nothing more than a moment in character during an intense scene after an 18-hour day.
"The scene was emotionally charged and his character was talking into a mirror and he got so into it, he banged his hands against the mirror and it broke and cut him," the source close to Gyllenhaal says. "It was all the scene and not because he was mad about anything else."
Another source says the traditionally buff star has also been "intensely focused" on losing approximately 20 lbs. for his role as a crime-scene reporter in the upcoming drama.
Regardless of the reason for the hospital visit, Gyllenhaal returned to set later that day.

Jake Gyllenhaal was hospitalized on Wednesday morning (November 13) after punching a mirror and injuring his hand on the set of his latest movie Nightcrawler.
“Jake flipped out,” a source told People about the 32-year-old actor’s incident. “His character was looking into a mirror during the scene and punched the mirror in anger and broke it, cutting himself so bad he had to be taken to a hospital.”
“The scene was emotionally charged and his character was talking into a mirror and he got so into it, he banged his hands against the mirror and it broke and cut him,” another source said about the event, which caused Jake to get some stitches. “It was all the scene and not because he was mad about anything else.”
“Jake was indeed filming Nightcrawler when during the shooting of the scene his character (purposefully) banged his hand into the mirror,” his rep confirmed to ET Canada. “Unfortunately the mirror broke and Jake’s hand was badly cut up. He got numerous stitches at the ER and was released. He already returned to set for work.”

JG: The hundreds and hundreds of radio towers on Mount Wilson. That to me is what this movie is. Those radio towers are pretty far out into the wild on top of the mountains and they are these beacons of civilization and communication but they’re surrounded by the wild, coyotes and other animals, and how they interact with each other. That vision is "Nightcrawler."

I firmly believe Jake's been done filming for a couple of weeks and all the recent, sudden Jake news has been to help cover the Gyllenichols trip away to celebrate another BT Offspring Birthday. Not sure which member of the GN Clan but it was one of the latter born.

No one would think that Jake traveling somewhere and taking short vacation is suspicious in any way, especially after working long hours and weight loss. Because there is nothing suspicious about doing what most people, including celebrities, do all the time.
Lying about filming a movie when filming is done makes no sense because there is no need for that and ALL people involved in making it would know that something is off, that Jake and/or his management have some reason to do that. THAT would be suspicious and the last thing "Jake with x hidden kids" would want.
Conclusion: OMGers are still fucking morons.

Everest update
Since the news that Everest had run into some financial problems (the movei not the mountain), there has been an update from Deadline. Financial backing is now in place and filming will start on 13 January in Italy before moving on to Nepal and Iceland. This might be the one Christmas when Jake does hope for some extra thick woolly socks.

There was plenty to talk about at Saturday night’s Governors Awards in L.A. Angelina Jolie thanked her family as she accepted a humanitarian award. Jennifer Garner, Amy Adams and more turned up the high-wattage glamour in gorgeous gowns. Maddox Jolie-Pitt wore a tux and it was adorable. But for our money, the most buzzworthy moments were happening on the heads of three of Hollywood’s hottest men: Jared Leto, Brad Pitt and Jake Gyllenhaal.
We’ve long known that Leto’s hair is magnificent (we even thought it might rival Connie Britton’s) but the Dallas Buyer’s Club star appeared to have been sampling a new hair product at the black-tie event — his ombré mane appeared thicker, shinier and more luxurious than ever before. A nicely trimmed beard completed the glam-rock effect.
Pitt, on the other hand, managed to out-hipster Leto with his new look, an old-timey rockabilly style that was extra-short on the sides and super-long and slicked-back on top. Shine was added via hair cream or pomade — and if it weren’t for the tux, he would have fit right in in N.Y.C.’s Williamsburg or L.A.’s hip Silver Lake neighborhoods.
And finally, whatever hair product Pitt left in the jar, Gyllenhaal scooped up for his newly long mane. Fortunately, he left the bun behind (it doesn’t really go with a nice suit), but all that extra hair had to go somewhere — and in this case, it was right into a curly ducktail at the nape of his neck. If his newest film doesn’t work out, he may consider auditioning for Grease 3.
