Can Hollywood "cure" gayness?

Luke Evans
Luke Evans

The Advocate, September 3, 2002

The Advocate: How did you decide you were going to be open about your sexuality?

Luke Evans: Well it was something I'd spoken to a lot of people about, including my boyfriend at the time - we've broken up now - but at the time when I just got Taboo, I knew that even though my part was a straight character, everybody knew me as a gay man and, in my life in London, I never tried to hide it. I knew I was going to have to do interviews with gay magazines, so I thought, ‘Well, I’m going to have to be open’. It’s who I am. And if people don’t like it, then I don’t want their jobs. I've never been a very good liar, which is another thing...

The Advocate: Aren't actors all good liars?

Luke Evans: Well, it's not nice. Look at George Michael, let's say. I mean, he hid it for so many years, and then he gets found out in a really awful way... Y'know, you start a slippery slope downward, and I don't want to start that at 22. If that means I'm going to be a poor man at 60, then at least I've lived a happy, open, gay life and not had to hide from anybody.

The Advocate: Do you think it might be different in the UK than in America?

Luke Evans: Well, it depends on how big you are. It's not a big issue, and it's never going to be a big issue for me; whether I'm successful or if I weren't successful, at least I'll never have that skeleton in the closet they can rattle out. Y'know what I mean?

RISING actor Luke Evans is rapidly gaining star status after landing yet another major Hollywood role and romancing Charlotte Church’s ex – ex-PA, that is.

Fresh from playing breastplate-baring Zeus in Immortals and Apollo in Clash Of The Titans, 31-year-old Evans is sword fighting once again in a re-make of The Three Musketeers.

And Evans, from Aberbargoed, is described as “top farmer totty” for his role in Brit-com Tamara Drewe, has a special reason to be careful with his blade now he is dating stunning fashion industry marketing expert Holly Goodchild.

Miss Goodchild, 27, former personal assistant to Welsh singing superstar Church, said at the Tamara Drewe movie premiere: “Luke’s lovely – we’re really old friends and it just sort of happened.”

She added: “We are nowhere near engaged but things are really good.”

some here don't want to hear this or believe this

Don't want to believe what exactly? That Jake's career would stay the same / would have the same prospects if he decided to come out tomorrow? Something else?

Anonymous said...

but based on homophobic and hateful comments about openly gay celebrities I know that some people would refuse to watch or refuse to pay to watch Jake's movies.

What the hell are you talking about? There are rumors of Jake being gay. Rumors! Do you know that a rumor can be real or NOT? And, mostly gay gossip bloggers and gay fans talk about this. Nobody else!!! I know of many gay people who saw BBM and loved H/J in it, but don't give a rats ass if they were truly gay or not. They don't care about the Jake rumors.

Now talking about someone who is OUT but won't talk about being gay that's another story. You are accusing Jake of being gay and in the closet. Well, it's your word against his. Besides being his business, he has said he is not gay.

You would look really stupid boycotting his movies because he won't come out.

I'm talking about Jake's coming out and what would happen to his career.

Pathetic? You did not have to look at the photos of his friendship with her. We know one thing, it "was" a friendship.
You nor I know what went on behind closed doors. YOU don't!
And, there's nothing to get mad or upset about. Nothing.
Don't like what you think he's doing, don't be a fan and don't go see his movies. It's really Simple! Really!

There was no friendship with Taylor Swift.
Check out their twitter photos - they are both bored to tears.
Remember how "Us Weekly" lied about Jake attending her birthday party?

Does Sophia Bush Take Styling Help From Austin Nichols?

Fashionista Sophia Bush dresses for herself, but she still gets the seal of approval on her style from her boyfriend Austin Nichols.

"I dress for me," the One Tree Hill starlet told me backstage Thursday at the BCBG Max Azria show. "I don't dress for men and I don't dress for other women. But there's a certain head nod [that he does] and I'm like 'OK, I nailed it!"

The actress jetted to NYC sans her costar beau straight from the show's set in North Carolina and managed to look very fresh-faced despite the fact that she'd just landed in the city at 5:30 a.m.

Her Fashion Week trip will be a short one, as she also shared that she's off to a weekend wedding...

Sophia said she has a wedding to attend before she's due back on set. Hmmm, could she be referring to her friend Amy Smart, who's set to tie the knot this Saturday?

The jet-setting starlet says the key to surviving Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is to remember that this is all fun.

"I think the biggest must have for fashion week is being a little carefree about it," she told me. "It's fun. It's a party. It's an exceptional thing to be a part of. I'm already coveting things that I'm seeing on people already. It's fun! If you take it too seriously, I think we'd all crumble under pressure."

The main reason that Hollywood executives are giving Ryan Reynolds so many chances to become a major star is because most of the current crop of actors in their late 20s and early 30s are even more bland and non-descript than Ryan. Ryan Reynolds *seems* relatable and "All-American" even though he is Canadian.

Reynolds may not be the greatest actor, but he takes risks. He's starred in romantic comedies, dramas, frat-boy, and action films.

Main Competitors for A-List Leading Man Status:

Sam Worthington - Bland; AVATAR, CLASH OF THE TITANS, TERMINATOR SALVATION, and most people still don't care about him

Chris Evans - attractive and CAPTAIN AMERICA and FANTASIC FOUR did well, but he lacks the IT factor

Chris Pine - very handsome, but what else is there?

Chris Hemsworth - THOR did well, and he's a good actor. Hot but still unproven

James Franco - pretentious and annoying as hell

Ryan Gosling - very good actor, but like Ryan Reynolds, he has not proven that he is a box-office draw

Bradley Cooper - LIMITLESS made a tidy profit, but he radiates "douchebag" on screen

Channing Tatum - Cute?

Josh Duhamel - Pretty

Ashton Kutcher - Annoying

Justin Timberlake - Um...

Jake Gyllenhaal - still trying to star in a high-grossing film

Jospeh Gordon-Levitt - very good actor but still has to prove that he is a box-office draw

Anonymous said...

Luke Evans and Michael Fassbender might soon be on that list.

As if we didn't know it went on but worth a recap:

"Of course, the dirty secret of Hollywood studios and the most powerful PR agencies is that they often love a good leak. While stars may rail against the paparazzi, the fact remains that many PRs – and some of their more desperate clients – will happily tip off a photographer. There is a reason why celebrities return to the same restaurants and clubs night after night, and it is not out of a desire for secrecy. Indeed little has changed since the old days. Nothing creates more publicity – especially with a romantic comedy – than the rumour that the leading stars may have had an on-set romance. Such leaks, often sanctioned by the studio and frequently not true, are good for business. "There is no activity that Hollywood marketing executives will not do," said Laermer.

"So leaks themselves are not always bad. But what is terrifying for movie executives, PR agents, celebrities and studio heads is the lack of control that Hollywood Leaks is suddenly bringing into the process. Injecting an anarchic hacker philosophy into one of the most carefully managed industries in the world is a nightmare come true. "That is going to drive the studios insane," said Murphy.

"Wow, I try not to envy, but I have to say Jake's got a damn good-looking head," Damon, 40, told PEOPLE at Wednesday's New York premiere of his new movie about a killer virus, Contagion. "He sure does have a beautiful round head."

"Normally you say, 'That's a beautiful head of hair, but that's a beautiful head he's got,' " Damon says laughing. "Gyllenhaal definitely gets the blue ribbon for the best bald head over me."

Tom Hardy: I've Never Had Sex with a Man, 'Doesn't Do It For Me' said...

Warrior star Tom Hardy graphically denies the gay rumors, but would rather they exist than nobody talks about him.

From an interview in UK Marie Claire:

This much candour makes you wonder whether Hardy ever regrets being, well, quite frank. 'I don't regret anything I've ever said It's just a shame things are misconstrued and I don't get the opportunity to explain.' Not even the time he said he'd enjoyed relationships with men in his twenties?

'I have never put my p-nis in a man,' is Hardy's characteristically direct response. 'Ive never had a c--k in my arse, and I have no f--king desire for it. If that's what you like, cool. But it doesn't do it for me.' He's irritated his words were taken out of context but concedes, 'one thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about'.

Discussion of Hardy's sexual past sprang to life last summer when the actor, then starring in Inception, was quoted by the Daily Mail:

"The 32-year-old Inception star, who is engaged to British actress Charlotte Riley, 28, and also has a two-year-old son with a former girlfriend. But asked if he'd ever had any sexual relations with other men, the broody actor said: 'As a boy? Of course I have. I'm an actor for ****'s sake. 'I've played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I'm in my thirties, it doesn't do it for me. I'm done experimenting but there's plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life. A lot of gay men get my thing for shoes. I have definite feminine qualities and a lot of gay men are incredibly masculine.'"

Hysteria: Toronto Review said...

The Bottom Line
Not nearly as outrageous or unconventional as its premise might suggest, but saucy and enjoyable all the same.

...
Much of the humor in the Dyers' screenplay is more droll than genuinely witty, and the prurient sexual stuff occasionally gets strained. But while Wexler's pacing can become a little stodgy at times, the film has a sweetness that keeps you watching. This is helped by the relaxed charms of Dancy, who wears his mutton-chop sideburns and dapper period garb well, and the luminous Gyllenhaal, whose boisterous, vaguely contemporary energy here fits with her character's hunger for emancipation.

Everett turns the dial way up on his blase, upper-crust mannerisms, but enjoyably so, and Pryce brings an agreeable hint of eccentricity to the earnest doctor, though it's questionable whether his refusal to consider the value in Charlotte's work is entirely in-character.

The well-upholstered production delivers a solid period look on what's doubtless not a huge budget, thanks to resourceful work from set designer Sophie Becher and costumer Nic Ede.

Michelle Williams Becomes Marilyn Monroe

Since her days on "Dawson's Creek," Michelle Williams, 30, has transformed into a serious actress who's been nominated for two Oscars. And like most serious actresses, she's fiercely private, rarely talking about her family, which is centered around her daughter Matilda, who will turn 6 in October. She speaks publicly even less frequently about her relationship with Matilda's late father, Heath Ledger, who died suddenly and tragically at age 28 in 2008. But in the October issue of Vogue, she gives a particularly candid interview about her life today and about the role of a lifetime, Marilyn Monroe, which she tackles in her next movie.

Michelle admits that she struggled after Heath's death. Although she's finally moved on, the experience definitely affected her. "Three years ago, it felt like we didn't have anything, and now my life -- our life -- has kind of repaired itself," she reveals to the magazine. "[But] it's changed how I see the world and how I interact on a daily basis. It's changed the parent I am. It's changed the friend I am. It's changed the kind of work that I really want to do. It's become the lens through which I see life -- that it's all impermanent."

But the "Blue Valentine" star also says she's in a good place -- especially since reaching a milestone birthday on September 9. "I feel like something has changed for me, but it's a new change, so it's going to be hard for me to describe," Williams notes. "Maybe it has something to do with turning 30. I don't feel as shy or nervous or self-conscious. I have more confidence that I can handle what life brings me. I don't feel scared to have an idea and express it."

M said...

Over the years, Williams has obviously gained confidence in her acting, too. She takes on one of the most famous women in pop culture -- and a woman whose picture was plastered all over Michelle's walls when she was growing up in San Diego -- in the upcoming film "My Week With Marilyn." The movie is about the tumultuous filming of the 1957 flick "The Prince and the Showgirl" starring Monroe and leading man/director Sir Laurence Olivier. Williams says she felt drawn to the role immediately, and spent six months preparing for it.

"I'd go to bed every night with a stack of books next to me," she says. "And I'd fall asleep to movies of her. It was like when you were a kid and you'd put a book under your pillow hoping you'd get it by osmosis."

Williams even worked with a choreographer to perfect Marilyn's walk, and gained weight so she could flaunt her signature curves. At one point, she says, she even caught a glimpse of what it was like to feel like Marilyn. "The expectation to be beautiful always makes me feel ugly because I feel like I can't live up to it," she explains. "But I do remember one moment of being all suited up as Marilyn and walking from my dressing room onto the soundstage practicing my wiggle. There were three or four men gathered around a truck, and I remember seeing that they were watching me come and feeling that they were watching me go -- and for the very first time I glimpsed some idea of the pleasure I could take in that kind of attention; not their pleasure but my pleasure. And I thought, 'Oh, maybe Marilyn felt that....'"

Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood on Gay Issues, 'J Edgar'

In the new issue of GQ, Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio discuss the gay element in J Edgar, Eastwood's forthcoming biopic of FBI director J Edgar Hoover.

Dicaprio First, a little talk about same-sex marriage.

Says Eastwood to GQ:

"These people who are making a big deal about gay marriage?" I don’t give a fuck about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! We’re making a big deal out of things we shouldn’t be making a deal out of ... Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want."

DiCaprio: "That's the most infuriating thing--watching people focus on these things. Meanwhile, there's the onset of global warming and these incredibly scary and menacing things with the future of our economy."

As for the gay element in the film (via USA Today), Eastwood says:

"I'd heard all the various controversies and gossip—that he wore dresses at parties. Everybody was saying, maybe he's gay because he'd never gotten married. But that's the way they did it back in the '40s. If a guy didn't get married, they always thought, Oh, there's something wrong with him....[Associate FBI director Clyde Tolson and he] were inseparable pals. Now, whether he was gay or not is gonna be for the audience to interpret. It could have been just a great love story between two guys. Or it could have been a great love story that was also a sexual story...It's not a movie about two gay guys. It's a movie about how this guy manipulated everybody around him and managed to stay on through nine presidents. I mean, I don't give a crap if he was gay or not.""

Says DiCaprio:

"What we're saying is that he definitely had a relationship with Tolson that lasted for nearly fifty years. Neither of them married. They lived close to one another. They worked together every day. They vacationed together. And there was rumored to be more. There are definite insinuations of—well, I'm not going to get into where it goes, but…If I were a betting man, I actually don't know what I would bet [regarding his sexuality]."

"J Edgar" script SPOILERS:

In the shooting script there are 2 gay references and one scene about cross-dressing. Of course, things can be shot and then edited out, but they were definitely shot.

First: there is a fight between Tolson and Hoover while the two are staying at a hotel near the Del Mar racetrack. It culminates in the two sharing a violent/passionate kiss. Scene ends with no indication that things progress to sex.

Second: Near the end of Hoover's life, there is a scene in Hoover's home. Hoover kisses Tolan on the forehead. But it is a passionate kiss on the forehead, if that makes sense? Full of longing and many unsaid things.

Crossdressing: Hoover's mother, with whom he has a very intense relationship, dies. Distraught, Hoover goes into her bedroom and touches her things, smells her perfume, strokes her dresses, hugs them. This leads to him actually putting the dress and pearls on.

My bet is that the crossdressing scene gets cut. It seemed silly even on the page. DiCaprio would have had to act the hell out of it, and I'm not sure he's capable of doing a scene like that.

The implication, clear to me anyway, is that Hoover is gay and loves Tolan, but the relationship is never consummated.

Because two can play at that game. ;) Plus, it really says nothing.

Anonymous said...

Nothing? I really didn't expect that Leo and Clint would pretend not knowing about J Edgar being gay and pretending how that part of his life isn't important. Pathetic.

Anonymous said...

In the scheme of things, it is only one aspect of a complex and controversial historical figure - and his possibly being a gay man isn't what makes him controversial. I don't think there's a definitive word on JEH's sexuality, but lots of rumor. Didn't Dustin Lance Black write the script?

Leo just stops short of quoting his opinion that JEH may have been gay, IMO. Clint says he doesn't care.

Anonymous said...

Didn't Dustin Lance Black write the script?

Yes, but he's not making the movie, he's not an actor or director, doesn't make choices how to play the role. I guess Leo will play asexual J Edgar since he "can't make up his mind".

Anonymous said...

We'll see...in the meantime, try not predict the future. I'm sure if there are 'artistic differences' we will hear about it.

Anonymous said...

The script is pretty much the canon everyone goes by. If you had the director, the writer, and the actors going off in three interpretive directions, you'd have chaos. I tend to think they are all in sync.

Anonymous said...

Leo and Clint are in sync - "let's ignore gayness" sync.

JEH ruled the FBI - he had so much power that when retirement age came and he didn't want to retire, Congress passed a law exempting him from retirement! So it should be interesting. I remember Oliver Stone's addressing it in JFK too.

Maybe Eastwood took the film to ensure that there would be a benigh "treatment" of the gay rumors surrounding Hoover. Wouldn't want a paranoid fascist, obsessively secretive, blackmailing, cold-war warrior to be mistreated by the big bad Hollywood bleeding heart liberal commies, would you?

5:38 PM - J Edgar Hoover seems like a fascinating person, I would love to see a movie that would do him justice - with as little fiction as possible.

Hoover was fascinating, in an abuse of power kind of way. It's not like we don't have tons of historical biographies and primary/secondary sourced documentation on this guy. Still, movies can be powerful mechanisms to capture the essence of an individual and their impact on history. It will be interesting to see what Eastwood does with the material available to him.

The Eight Creepiest Things Found in Muammar Gaddafi's Palace
...

6. A Massive Jake Gyllenhaal Poster From Prince of Persia

Some dictators have an unhealthy obsession with fantasy and pop culture, like North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il, who loved films so much that he kidnapped a famous film director dubbed "the Orson Welles of South Korea" and his actress wife and forced them to produce an epic film for him.

Gaddafi seemed to have an obsession or, at least, a very intense interest in either the latest Prince of Persia movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal or the actor in the lead role, as evidenced by the very large movie poster plastered on the wall of one of his grand halls. I'm guessing it's the movie since they haven't found a similar poster for Brokeback Mountain...yet.

1. A Scrapbook of Pictures of Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice

It's no secret that American leaders on both sides of the political aisle cozied up to and had their picture taken with the now fallen dictator. It seems, however, that Gaddafi may have had a crush on one of them.

Rebels found a book containing hundreds of pictures of Condoleezza Rice in one of his offices. The two met during one of Rice's many overseas trips with foreign ministers and heads of state and Gaddafi seemed to take a shine to her after a visit in 2007 when he told Al Jazeera, "Leezza, Leezza, Leezza, I love her very much" and called her his "darling black African woman." Still no word if the rebels found a notebook with the words "Mr. and Mrs. Muammar Rice" scribbled in hearts on the inside cover.

And I've thought he's a gentleman...

"Brad Pitt is now saying that some of the comments he made in the new Parade magazine were misinterpreted, especially those in relation to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

The Moneyball star made a point of noting in the interview that he’s “satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.”

But it wasn’t always that way, said Pitt.

He told Parade, “I spent the ’90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”

That’s exactly what he said in the magazine.

Now, however, Pitt says, ”It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for.”

Silly Brad forgot that he was 50% of that marriage and that intelligent adults don't need spouses to make their life interesting.

Source Code TV Series Planned said...

When watching Source Code, it's difficult not to think there's potential there for a TV series. Now it look like that's exactly what may happen, as THR reports that producer Mark Gordon has made a deal with CBS to bring Source Code to out television screens.

The series will takes the basic idea of the film - a secret programme that allows someone to relive the last eight minutes of someone who's died in a tragic event - and turn it into a procedural following three former federal agents who in each episode will investigate a different tragedy, jumping into the last minutes of the victims. So it's basically CSI meets Quantum Leap.

However, what's really intriguing is whether the TV show will continue with some of the things that are revealed towards the end of the Source Code film, both about the reality of those who are jumping into other people's lives and the quauntum physics possibilities of what going back means (and I hope that was as un-spoilery as possible, while being clear to those who've seen the movie). If it does, it could make for a very intriguing and interesting show.

The TV pilot will be penned by Steven Maeda (Lie to Me, Lost). Mark Gordon produced Source Code, but also has a lot of experience in TV, acting as an exec producer on the likes of Reaper, Grey's Anatomy and Criminal Minds, so he certainly has the background to turn Source Code into successful show.

Groundhog Day :)

Source Code: A Sci-Fi Groundhog Day, with Bombs
...
Colter's actual detective work isn't riveting (the bomber is easy to identify), but watching Colter's evolving reactions to his commuting companions is great fun, like Groundhog Day with bombs. In contrast to the chill of the cockpit, the train is warm and lively, filled with entertaining characters, including a stand-up comic (Russell Peters), a cocky college kid (Kyle Gatehouse) and a guy who is far too wired in for his own good (James A. Woods). Monaghan is charming, and we sense the growing connection between her and Sean/Colter. Gyllenhaal, whose youthful cuteness is now the slick handsomeness of a grownup movie star, clearly savors the wit in Ben Ripley's screenplay. On his fifth or so unpleasant encounter with the wired-in guy, Colter cuts him off with a quick quip: "Stay out of this tough guy, it doesn't end well for you." The role is all tension, but he's relaxed within it, and his pleasure is contagious.

Thus it is a tremendous downer when the second half of the movie shirks logic, defies its own established principles and raises more questions than it answers.

Brad Pitt Blames Marriage Inequality on "Blatant, Ugly Bigotry"

Brad Pitt says "blatant, ugly bigotry" is the reason the U.S. doesn't have federal marriage equality, according to an interview with this weekend's Parade magazine.

Pitt, who as far back as 2006 has insisted that he and longtime partner Angelina Jolie won't get married until same-sex couples are legally allowed to, again expresses his disbelief that the struggle for marriage equality in America is ongoing. "To be against marriage for everyone is utter discrimination," he says, while promoting his latest film Moneyball. "I feel strongly about that because if equality of marriage doesn’t happen now, the next generation will have to deal with it."

The actor reveals he finds it amazing that New York legalized same-sex marriage. "But the real problem is that the federal government hides behind states on this issue," Pitt says. "It is blatant, ugly bigotry, and the federal government shouldn’t be doing that. You’re denying some Americans the right that all Americans have, to live their lives as they choose."

Pitt then continues to question the motive for people who don't support full equality for all citizens and wonders about the role religion plays in the decision. “What are you so afraid of?" he asks. "That’s my question. Gay people getting married? What is so scary about that? It’s complicated. You grow up in a religion like that and you try to pray the gay away. I feel sadness for people like that. This is where people start short-circuiting — instead of being brave and questioning their beliefs, they are afraid and feel that they have to defend them."

Can These People Really Pray The Gay Away?

Again - "the religion"? What religion? Which religions? Another generalizing stereotype.

Anonymous said...

ALL religions are against homosexuality

Talk about stereotyping, there's a big difference between the church administration and the people who actually comprise the structures.

^^^ said...

Which part of the word "religion" you don't understand?

Anonymous said...

Talk about stereotyping, there's a big difference between the church administration and the people who actually comprise the structures.

So you're saying that the 'people who comprise the structures' ignore what their religion teaches (and by extension, do the right thing?) Bullshit and damn few. Or the pick and choose from al a la carte menu which tenets suit them, and which don't? (Come to think of it, some do that very thing!)

The vast majority believe and follow what they are taught, without question, and from a very young age. And when human nature, as it often does with greed, desire for power and selfishness, is at odds with religion, they behave very hypocritcally.

I would rephrase what you wrote, to that there's a vast difference between loving and good religious teachings as they were meant to be, and the way church administrations and the 'people who comprise the structures' interpret them to their own ends.

Anonymous said...

^^Also, people have every right to believe what they want to, but not to impose those beliefs on others who may see things differently. They don't have to like it personally, but they do have to respect other people in practice, other peoples' freedom to live as they wish, whether worshipping a higher power their own way, or to love who they want.

Obviously not. No.

Is it hard dating in the spotlight with new rumors cropping up all the time?
I just don’t talk about it. So, that sort of ends it.

Have you learned anything from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart about dealing with the media attention?
I have no idea how they stay sane with all that kind of attention. I know, knock wood, I’ve been able to avoid that kind of thing. I’m just in awe of their ability to handle that stuff.

Have you ever had a crazy run-in with a fan?
A girl came up to me in Vancouver once while I was shopping and said, “Are you in the Twilight movies?” And I said yes. And she had this package with her, and she said, “Are you going to see Taylor Lautner soon? Because you have to give this to him.” And I just lied and said, “I don’t know when I’m going to see him.” Because what kind of crazy person carries something around in case she runs into a Twilight cast member? I didn’t know if it was a dead animal. It could have been anything.

Oh please 6:21, you have not a leg to stand on. How quickly it is forgotten that Jake was caught with his wedding band on just over a week ago. Ignorance is bliss, isn't it.

Anonymous said...

What you are ignorant about is that Anna had on a wedding band too and last I heard she isn't married, they were in bwtween filming a scene. Jake's people said they were filming a scene, I don't know why Anna doesn't say the same but I assume it's because the director called the paps for some PR.

Why else would the paps hang around there for several hours (according to the timestamps on the photos) to takes pics of them?

Jake's ring was more visible , not Anna's. Jake looked right at the paps several times and yet he made no attempt to hide it.

Also I don't recall Jake wearing thos army fatigue type clothes before, I think his character was in the army.

Your buddy Ted never mentioned the filming when you sent him the e-mail because he and his interns are too damn lazy to find out.

There are plenty of candid pics of Jake and he isn't wearing that ring.

The idea that he would be wearing a weding band for several hours at a gas station while paps took pics is absurd.

And please explain why Anna was wearing a ring, and why the director was tere.

You Jaustaloons are so pissed and desperate that you will spin anything, you are worst than the Tea party freaks.

Anonymous said...

How quickly it is forgotten that Jake was caught with his wedding band on just over a week ago.

LOL, "End of Watch" wedding band. You didn't notice an actress with wedding band next to him? With his arm around her?

prop rings said...

My take on the pics is that they weren't taken by paps but by some one involved with EOW and then "leaked".

That woulds explain why there are 2 sets of dates on the pics according to IHJ, one set was taken at 1:30 and the second set was taken at 4:30. I can't believe that paps would hang around all that time to take pics of those 2.

So why would the director to that? Publicity. There were daily shots almost of filming of this movie, that was probably the last scenes to be shot and they knew the paps weren't going to follow them to NV, so they did it themselves.

Up to that point, with the exception of that bit ON E with Lyons, no one saw any footage of Jake and Anna together, hence the photos.

If you notice they are all aware of being filmed or at least pretend to be.

I guess would be embarrassing to Anna to admit that that it was staged.

prop rings said...

Also that would expain why the IHJ pics are steamed "Jake and Anna hang out at some gas station". The paps would have said that they were filming even if they saw the director filming from a hand held camera in a car which I assume he did.

They "leaked" the pics to an agency and they tagged them, Popsugar got it partially right when they said that they were on their way to NV to film they just got the day wrong, I bet the delay in the pics had to do with the fact that the EOW crew that took them didn't "leak" them until after they returned from LV.

Anonymous said...

I guess would be embarrassing to Anna to admit that that it was staged.
