Luke Evans: Well it was something I'd spoken to a lot of people about, including my boyfriend at the time - we've broken up now - but at the time when I just got Taboo, I knew that even though my part was a straight character, everybody knew me as a gay man and, in my life in London, I never tried to hide it. I knew I was going to have to do interviews with gay magazines, so I thought, ‘Well, I’m going to have to be open’. It’s who I am. And if people don’t like it, then I don’t want their jobs. I've never been a very good liar, which is another thing...

Luke Evans: Well, it's not nice. Look at George Michael, let's say. I mean, he hid it for so many years, and then he gets found out in a really awful way... Y'know, you start a slippery slope downward, and I don't want to start that at 22. If that means I'm going to be a poor man at 60, then at least I've lived a happy, open, gay life and not had to hide from anybody.

Luke Evans: Well, it depends on how big you are. It's not a big issue, and it's never going to be a big issue for me; whether I'm successful or if I weren't successful, at least I'll never have that skeleton in the closet they can rattle out. Y'know what I mean?

People in HW are not normal. If they were you wouldn't have all those people bearding in this day and age.
You wouldn't have people leaving their children for weeks and months on end to make films, and rarely seeing them, the way Jeff Daniels has talked about doing and regretting.
I've also known plenty of kids that got shipped off to boarding school at a young age, and who only came home for the holidays and a few weeks during the summer.
You can chose to believe that there is no BT, but to say no "normal" person would do something like Jake is doing is to not understand reality, something that posters on OMG are always accused of.

I think there is plenty of evidence of one BT, although I'd put my belief in a BT at more like 90% than 100%.
I do think it is entirely possible to hide a child, and I think someone who would beard and turn himself into tabloid fodder the way Jake did with Reese and Taylor, and making out in front of his mother in Italy, would have no problem with hiding a child. Jake would do anything to be a big A list star.

I think there was a brief time when Jake thought he could at least live in glass closet and still be a big A list star. I think if there is a BT he planned to have the child before he decided to go screaming back into the deepest closet he could find. I think one of the reasons he did that was to get POP, and possibly because he was generally having trouble getting work--or at least the kind of work he thought he should be getting after BBM.
It has become pretty clear that you can't get a potential franchise like POP without showing the world you are really 100% straight. Look at all the stars that magically get girlfriends when they get certain films--like Luke Evans--or even fiances, like Caville, the minute he was cast in Superman. Others are already bearded up or married.
I think Jake really wanted to do POP, so he bearded up with Reese, and the rest is history.

I'm not so sure the first hint of Reeking wasn't just the usual tabloid nonsense of hooking up movie co-stars and/or came from Reese's camp to make her look good after the divorce news came out.
2006 we had plenty of pictures of jake with Austin or sightings of the two of them together. Not the behavior of someone who I would expect to turn around and start bearding and run deep into the closet.
I don't think there's anything incompatible between having a kid and having your career take off. If people didn't have a kid because they're going to be busy working long hours on films or television then nobody in HW would have children--and if anything, it seems like you can't turn around without reading about someone else having a baby.

I never disagreed that there wasn't an early story about Jake and Reese. Once again you are reading what you want, and ignoring the rest of my post. If you're going to slam me at least get your facts straight.
What I said is that it is possible it was just coming from Reese, or the tabloids were making it up the way they do many times withe co-stars on a movie. You don't know any more than I do when a contract was signed. It would have been before Reese got divorced, making my guess wrong, or it could have been the summer of 2007 when the whole stupid little game of people catching glimpses of them together but oooh, those paps just couldn't catch them together.

One of the posts just deleted by Jackie was also from UV.

I assumed a lot of the recent comments were from Jack, but looking back at them, they are too grammatically correct to be Jack. So my guess is the school marm.
I doubt it's a fake account. Sounds like UV's agenda. She thinks Jake is straight. Would make sense that she would hang around here to get everyone fighting with one another. She would like nothing more than to bring down OMG and WFT2 because Jake Gyllenhaal is a perfectly "normal" heterosexual.
Whether it's UV or not, I'm sure she posts here regularly just to stir the pot.

Jackie is deleting all troll posts, including those from the loons.
I thought that it was exposed that someone had a fake UV account and was posting here, I doubt that it's her.
Most likely it's someone from OMG like PG and M, I especially recognize m's style.
Also, they are using one of their talking points: the troll is Jack or UV even though it was exposed that they set up a fake UV account, how childish.
I think Jackie knows it was a fake account.
I also think I know who did it, they did it with UV before and I think FL when the figured out that in some cases you can use the same blogger ID with google, a google glitch.
Why they would do that is a mystery but anytime they are made fun of on here they try and accuse someone else for their juvenile behavior.
