Bale was GIVEN a career because of Batman, and now he pisses and moans about doing another one. Well SCREW YOU DUDE! You guys know what? Jake Gyllenhaal was the runner-up to play Bats anyway. I wish he had gotten the role cause I think he wouldn't be a bitch. Ironically I used to HATE Gyllenhaal for no good reason really. I was polled about that movie "The Day After Tomorrow" and would I go to see it (This was back in'04 in a shopping mall) and I said "No, because I don't like Gyllenhaal." But y'know what, he doesn't seem like a bitch anymore, and Christian Bale, who I thought was so cool, actually does!
This guys no Johnny Depp fellas, and even if he was, Depp actually stoops to do low brow entertainment that Bale probably thinks is below him. Jack Sparrow? The sexually ambiguous pirate? Yep, Depp cranks those movies out, because he doesn't take himself that seriously. I think someone needs to come along and say "Hey Christian *smack* if you're not too busy yelling at your mother and sister, or cursing some poor bastard out on the set of "Terminator" maybe you could climb down from your Ivory Tower and show some love to the fans who GAVE you a career?"
And this applies to ANY actor who thinks they're too good for fans. I mean, even Michael Keaton probably could have steered Batman Forever in another direction! You have people LINING UP to play superheroes (and I'm not talkin about those phony sons of bitches who SAY they're fans but in relatity always PICKED on the kids who read comicbooks). Guys like Nicholas Cage and Freddy Prinze Jr. At least those guys have some heart. And then of course, Hugh Jackman, God Bless that guy. He not only COMMITS to the character of Wolvie, he is ENTHUSIASTIC about it too!!
How hard is it to make one effin trilogy? It's not Shakespeare, it's Batman, relax Baley. Oh and Chris Nolan...you're being a bit of a bitch too. Fans came out in droves for you, and now you're talkin about punking out on us? Unacceptable Noley. I feel bad as hell that Ledger's death had to mar TDK, and my heart goes out to his family and friends, but LEDGER didn't even take this stuff that seriously, so why should Nolan?! At some point, these people have to think a LITTLE BIT about their fans and think "Well maybe I'm acting more like a pretentious douche bag than a 'professional' so I guess I can stoop so low as to finish a series of movies that gave me a career."
"Maybe he doesn't in the Dutch original, or in either script, or even in the last audience test runs, but until the movie comes out in December we won't know if it happens or not in the final 2009 version. So maybe he does, don't be so sure he doesn't."
Are you hawking the film? The entire plot assumption and denouement would be threatened if he did, and the brief confrontation with the daughter in the trailer illustrates this for anyone who's read the script or seen the film.
Hm... a lot of people mentioned that scenes from Brothers trailer look like a copy from the Dutch original, it doesn't make sense to change something so important from the original script.
I dunno if any of you remember a little bitch named Tobey Maguire, who looked kinda like a girl and cried a lot in his movies? ... Then, [Spiderman] number two comes around and suddenly, his ovaries begin to hurt...oh wait, I mean his "back" begins to hurt.
"Ted is talking about two boring and bored fauxmance couples."
The mention Ted gave was Jake and Hayden's "significant others" NOT their gfs or their HW gfs or by name, Reese Witherspoon and Rachel Bilson. I take it as Ted meaning their REAL SOs not the faked, public, tabloid ones. That Ted means the 2 couples Jake/Austin, Hayden/bf, are like boring old married people.
Why Chin's PR keep using JJ site to promote her? 80/95% of the comments there always have a mocking tone, even the ones that aren't about Jake's gayness, they laugh about her uglyness or the expensive but unflattering clothes instead.
I know there are a good quantity of "Reeke friendly" sites out there. Why insisting with the other ones?? Is this some kind of PR strategy or what?
finally met Reese last night and Jake.. She was absolutely adorable, so friendly and so very very TINY..She was with Jake at a low key wine bar out here in LA..She said she had a bruise on her eye from that softball movie shes filming, she got hit in the eye and so she said the picture might not be that great haha....
Maybe because they know on that it's only a handful of posters, the same posting over and over. Easy to get the ISP addresses from JJ. You noticed then when Perez does bother to post anything about them or her, the comments are 90% positive, that's because you need to register to post on Perez now, not so on JJ and they know it, I think they are testing him to see if he will have posters register now, not just Jake and Reese PR but all the others that use JJ to pimp their clients.
Ent Lawyer and MK when they do post about them it's snarky/he's gay posts but you need to register to comment and if you notice the comments tend to go off topic due to boredom. There are a few other sites/blogs that post about her/them but not so much due to boredom.
JJ pimps out clients even w/o iimput from PR so he can score points.
10:43: BUSTED!!!! You got that from GB, and don't say you found it on google or on your own because that didn't pop up on google, you have to register for that site, LOL!!
You are obsessed with Reese even more so then Jake, come on admit it , LOL!!!
And Biel and Timberlake had far fewer people thinking they were gay, more like 10% than 45%, and they haven't been on tabloid covers the way Reeke has.
Hmm, I just checked that poll 11:04 It has JT at 40% and he is listed higher than Jake wh as of today is about 39%. Jessica is around 19% n that silly poll.
The person who addressed the question about "significant others" to Ted may, or may not, have been referring to the public girlfriends, or the private boyfriends, but Ted, by referring to those tedious coffee outings was definately taking about the public girlfriends. Ted was talking about the boring fake public showmances of these two boring fake public couples.

Batman Trilogy - Never thought I'd say this, and there's absolutely no replacing Heath as Joker, the guy won a freakin' Oscar for the role, but the next best thing, and the only other actor in whose hands I'd trust the role, is Johnny Depp. After seeing him as John Dillinger in Public Enemies this weekend, it seems to me Joker is based on a gangster-era character like this, and Johnny played him tough, and played him hot, complete with a scar on his face, and a snappy dresser to boot. Or maybe he'll play The Riddler? He'd be great. :)
I think Johnny is more of a wacky type of loony. I think he could be a great Riddler. The Jocker is darker and more impossing, maybe Sean Penn would be good for the part, but i think the public is already bored of him.
Jake has the potential to be that kind of actor, I see parallels with Edward Scissorhands and Bubble Boy, they are similar to me, able to express emotion well. I think Jake will go far too. :)
No offense, Johnny Depp is in a different league than Jake. He already proved himself to be a serious, very good actor. Jake has not. Also Jonhhy Depp is much more talented.
Johnny Depp achieves a connection between his character and the public taht is amazing.I don't know how he does it but people love to see him in the movies! But his acting skills are not the best of the world,IMO
Johnny Depp achieves a connection between his character and the public that is amazing.
He really does! He's very charismatic, and his dark smoldering good looks, and he's a great actor. Getting viewers to really see him as the character is a big thing. :)
He really does! He's very charismatic, and his dark smoldering good looks, and he's a great actor
^^
He is very beautiful and he has no problems with wearing odd clothes or put some ugly makeup. But his tone of voice is horrible and he always overact.
I think his skill is more about traspassing the screen and make a connection with the audience, which is not a small thing considering the number of actors who can't provoke an emotion in any movie
Now I love his voice, and his way with an accent. If I were Billie to his Johnny, when he was telling her about his hard-knock life, I'd have melted into a puddle at his feet. He was hot!
I don't think Johnny is a good performer. I do think, however, that he became a star not thanks only to PR and lobby but because people think he is cool and they CHOSE him to be their favourite actor. I respect him for that, but his acting as Willy Wonka and Sparrow are painful to watch. I never understood why people think he is so great...
I never saw any of the Pirates movies, nor Willy Wonka. I first thought he had that certain something when I saw him in Edward Scissorhands, that Jack Twist expression of emotion in his face. I loved him in Ed Wood, he just seemed to capture that zeal in his eyes of EW's reported pure love of filmmaking and movies. He was a knockout in Public Enemies. I wonder if he's at his best in drama?
I also love it that actors like Depp and DiCaprio looking more mature and are just coming into their prime - any character lines and furrowed brows in their faces only adds to their appeal and believability onscreen - less boyish looking.
^^And Martin Landau made the best Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood. :) I love Tim Burton, can't wait to see his Alice in Wonderland. Anne H. looked great as the White Queen in the pic I saw of her.
Johnny Depp is amazing in certain types of roles, but he is not great in everything. He was in the film version of Sweeny Todd and nobody went to see that. People forget his bombs.
And I don't see him taking over the Joker role in this cycle. Heath put an indelible stamp on that, and I think we may have to wait many years before someone else attempts to take on that role.

ITA and I think Johnny Depp respects Heath too much to reprise his Joker role. He even named a part of his island after Heath.
I wanted to see ST, but for some reason wasn't able. I'll have to rent it. I think JD got decent reviews for it, even for his singing. It's always been an interesting to me, ST.

You've got to ask, does it matter, anyhow, never heard of the expression why keep a dog and bark yourself. Remember, this is rather mindless celebrity gossip being dicussed, hardly state secrets.
Dear Ted: Already sent my guess on Toothy Tile, now it's Nevis Divine's turn. He has to be James Franco. I don't know why, but I feel so sure (on both guesses). —Wanda
Dear Let's Be Franco: J.F. has his own vices to worry about. He's just as delicious as Nevis, tho!
Madea Actor Terrell Carter Outed … By His Ex-Boyfriend
said...
An actor in some of the highest grossing black film series — produced by a man many suspect is gay — is outed as gay. Horror!
You know Tyler Perry as being the effeminate entertainment powerhouse who seems to be the only producer who can keep a black cast on television. But aside from House of Payne and Meet the Browns, Perry is also behind the moneymaking Madea films, including Madea's Family Reunion, Madea's Class Reunion, and Madea Goes to Jail, which cost little to produce and make box office killings. (These films also feature Perry in minstrel-y drag, upsetting many in the black community, while pleasing others.)
But this post is not about Tyler Perry! It is about Terrell Carter, one of Perry's actors and, as of This Week On The Internet, the newest famous homosexual to be outed. It all comes courtesy of lovey-dovey photos that leaked of Carter and his then-boyfriend Alex Cortez. And how did the photos get out? None other than Cortez published them.
The Internet is not being kind to Terrell, as Rod 2.0 notes. MediaTakeOut.com, the most popular black gossip blog (and also the black gossip blog most inclined to make up the majority of its "exclusives"), is playing host to rampant homophobia.
The rumors aren't new. Last year Carter was tied to Noah's Arc actor Christian Vincent.
But this is an official outing. Where gossips were once keen on playing it safe with Carter's sexuality, the photos now offer carte blanche to brand him as gay. Which, it appears, he is. What we'd be interested to know is whether there's any career advice conversation down the road between Carter and producer Perry — who might know a thing or two about the glass closet.
Who Says Anna Nicole Smith Didn't Enjoy Watching 2 Men Get It On?

In his never-ending quest to prove he is not A Homosexual, former Anna Nicole Smith attorney Howard K. Stern sued former MSNBC host Rita Cosby over her book's allegations that Stern and Larry Birkhead (father of Smith's daughter) were gay lovers. It's a $60 million libel suit that involves dialogue about videotaped gay sex, which should make anyone erect.
Among the allegations Cosby makes in Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death about Stern's not-so-straightness is a claim that Smith actually watched a tape of Stern and Birkhead getting it on.
That account just doesn't fly with Judge Denny Chin, who's hearing arguments on whether the case should be dismissed. Says Chin: "One point that I find troubling is that Anna Nicole Smith would entertain herself by watching this videotape."
Silly Chin. Doesn't he know that women — from the female half of Will & Grace to the gals of Sex and the City — watch gay porn for sport?
You know what, I think I got it. Jake used to be charismatic, that's what he had. He was full of it, just walking down the street or presenting in front of an audience or at a premiere or at a park with Atticus. But then Reeke came along and killed it. He's empty now. How do you get charisma back? It's almost impossible IMO, once it's gone.
1. dump the beard 2. spend more time with friends 3. spend more time doing sports 4. take Atti to the beach 5. find good indie project and do it for peanuts 6. dance!
1. let Atti bite the beard's ugly face off and run her pathetic ass away 2. spend more time with Atti 3. spend more time doing Atti whoops no how about 3. spend more time doing Austin and letting Atti watch and give commentary 4. take Atti to the beach 5. find good indie project and do it for dog food treats 6. dance with Atti! 7. take Atti to the vet and get his balls put back on 8. take Atti to his bitches so he make lots of baby Attis 9. let Atti make love to boy and girl dogs all day long 10. Let Atti do what he wants so Daddy can get his charisma back
What barely hanging onto A list married movie actor who is always Mr. Macho was seen, umm, how can I put this, getting serviced by a male assistant director on his latest movie. The trailer for the actor was unlocked and a production assistant walked in and now everyone knows. I was shocked when I heard it because I had never heard a peep that he leaned that way. Ever.

"Jake used to be charismatic, that's what he had. "
Didn't Ted mention recently that Toothy was cowering in fear? How can you be charismatic when you're afraid all the time? Exactly why would Jake be so afraid now, hmmm?
Anytime twitters or sightings mention how cute, tiny or nice Reese is, you can bet they are a PR plant. Just Jared is pretty much all PR generated now. Notice how they credit dress designers, shoes, purses etc. I think Reese's PR moved there after burning though the rags with no measurable results.
One person I've been thinkin about alot is Dustin Lance Black. Now that guy has it going. The ex-bf sex pics actually made him sexier not sleazy, and the way he handled the leaked photos was very well done. Go Dusty!
"Notice how they credit dress designers, shoes, purses etc."
Reese is probably getting a percentage, either by sales or a discount. That witch needs her own country to run. Why don't we send her to South America and rename her Revita?
Did you know a gyllenhaal is a type of bug? Some long winged obscure flying things discovered iirc in the early 1800's. I'd be surprised if it didn't have leech-like qualities.

Massachusetts sues federal government over marriage law
Massachusetts sued the U.S. government on Wednesday, challenging the constitutionality of a federal law that defines marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
Massachusetts sued the U.S. government on Wednesday, challenging the constitutionality of a federal law that defines marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
(CNN) -- Massachusetts sued the U.S. government on Wednesday, challenging the constitutionality of a federal law that defines marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
"We're taking this action today because, first, we believe that [the Defense of Marriage Act] directly interferes with Massachusetts' long-standing sovereign authority to define and regulate the marital status of its residents," Attorney General Martha Coakley said Wednesday afternoon.
"Massachusetts has a single category of married persons, and we view all married persons equally and identically," she said.
"DOMA divides that category into two distinct and unequal classes of marriage."
The lawsuit argues that the act, which became law in 1996, denies same-sex couples essential rights and protections, including federal income tax credits, employment and retirement benefits, health insurance coverage and Social Security payments.
"In enacting DOMA, Congress overstepped its authority, undermined states' efforts to recognize marriages between same-sex couples, and codified an animus towards gay and lesbian people," the state wrote in the lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday in federal court.
Massachusetts, the first state to legalize gay marriage, said that about 16,000 same-sex couples have been married there since 2004, when it began issuing marriage licenses. Since that time, the lawsuit said, "the security and stability of families has been strengthened in important ways throughout the state. "
The state is challenging Section 3 of the law, which defines marriage as "a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife" and a spouse as "a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or a wife."
Before the act, the lawsuit argues, defining marital status was the prerogative of the states.
The law "eviscerated more than 200 years of federal government deference to the states with respect to defining marriage," it said.
The lawsuit also argues that the law forces Massachusetts to treat same-sex married couples differently from heterosexual married couples, particularly through determining who qualifies for the state's Medicaid program, known as MassHealth, and whether a same-sex spouse of a veteran can be buried in a veteran cemetery.
"But for DOMA, married individuals in same-sex relationships in the commonwealth would receive the same status, obligations, responsibilities, rights, and protections as married individuals in different-sex relationships under local, state, and federal laws," the lawsuit said.
The defendants named in the lawsuit include the Department of Health and Human Services, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki and the United States itself.
Charles Miller, a spokesman for the Department of Justice, said the department will review the case but noted that President Obama supports the legislative repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act.
In March, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders -- the same Boston-based group that successfully argued in 2003 for same-sex marriage rights in Massachusetts -- also sued the federal government over Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act.
Besides Massachusetts, three other states recognize same-sex marriages: Connecticut, Maine, and Iowa. Vermont and New Hampshire will join their company when same-sex marriages become legal later this year and early next year.

Blogimonde: PopMuse and Bloghungry Become Bloggy Baby Daddies
Los Angeles blogger husbands Popmuse and Bloghungry announced today the birth of their first child.
We join the two longtime-friends of Towleroad in welcoming Lily to the village, and congratulate the couple on their recent anniversary celebration of 5 years together. There was also an official marriage ceremony in the last days before last November's election, and the couple has supported No on 8 and other efforts to overturn Proposition 8, which took away the right of Californians to marry legally.
Clearly, Lily is unlikely to want for love, strength, delicious food, the latest remixes, and companionship (there is, of course canine, Carrie Fisher), but rest assured of the support and love that's out there for the whole family.
So I just learned that one of my favorite games of all times, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, is being made into a movie. Now one thing I'm skeptical of is how well the movie will be compared to how much I love the video game. Here's the "premise" from the film's wikipedia page:
Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a street urchin in 6th century Persia. After showing valor in battle, he is adopted by the king as his heir, so the king's two sons will not fight over the throne. He teams up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to rescue the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that controls time, from the hands of the villainous nobleman, Nizam (Sir Ben Kingsley).
Now from the look of it, it's definitely not going to follow the video game which is already losing huge points in my book. The prince is not originally a prince. The prince isn't on his way to take over some Indian maharajah. Farah is no longer named Farah or an exotic and hot Indian beauty (no offense to Gemma, she's just not really Persian princess material).
Although I gotta give it to Ben Kingsley. He looks evil. He can stay.
After looking at the footage for the movie online I found that maybe this could be a pretty decent movie. I'm a little scared to see it but I'm such a huge fan of the series that I just don't think it will make a difference to my experience of the games just because the movie might end up being pretty bad. What do you think? Will this be a huge blockbuster hit? Or will it just fade away like the Persian empire?
Tom Cruise-David Beckham friendship explored in book about soccer star
said...
David Beckham and Tom Cruise are going to be besties for life.
In "The Beckham Experiment," Sports Illustrated writer Grant Wahl devotes nearly an entire chapter to the bromance between the soccer stud and A-list actor. To hear Becks tell it, Cruise has influenced every major decision he has made since the two met in 2003.
Both David and his wife, Victoria, who celebrated their 10th anniversary on Saturday, shared the "Mission: Impossible" actor's rep, Creative Artists Agency, and at Cruise's urging, also hired his L.A.-based PR firm, Rogers & Cowan.
When the couple relocated to L.A., they moved - where else? - just five minutes from Cruise's home with Katie Holmes on San Ysidro Drive in Beverly Hills. TomKat even hosted the Beckhams' "Welcome to L.A." party, with Cruise making the haul from Germany, where he had been filming "Valkyrie."
In addition, Beckham says he talks to his best mate most days of the week and takes his advice on nearly everything. Tom was influential in Becks' decision to take a job with the L.A. Galaxy. He also recommended Beckham's physical therapist and introduced him to another superstar pal, Will Smith.
The Cruise/Beckham families have hung out at Tom's home in Telluride, Colo., spent Thanksgiving together in NYC and drank loads of wine in Napa while celebrating Victoria's 34th birthday last year.
Cruise even influenced Beckham's decision in naming his third son, Cruz. "I must admit, when [Victoria and I] met Tom, I remember turning around to Victoria and saying, 'Cruise is a great name, but we could spell it different,'" Beckham told Wahl for the book, due from Crown Publishing on Tuesday. "And also, living in Spain, Cruz is spelled the way it is in Spanish. So that's why we got it."
One thing the brothers from another mother don't share, however, is a love of Scientology. Beckham is adamant that he has no interest in his pal's faith. "It's something I respect, because Tom's explained to me and Victoria what it's all about. But he's never turned around and said, 'That is what you should be doing,' because he would never do that. He and Katie have their beliefs ... but me and Victoria have also got our own."
Brothers Trailer aka Natalie Portman is working again
said...
HOLY CROW!
That was my reaction the first time I saw the trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman's new movie Brothers.
At first, I thought this film was going to be about a war widow, grieving the loss of her husband and trying to figure out how to pick up the pieces and raise their two daughters and her brother-in-law's help with this. I figured it was going to be one of those sappy, "I fell in love with the best friend/brother because my real husband died" kind of films-while in the back of my mind asking how Tobey Maguire is getting top billing as the dead hubby.
Then, Natalie gets a phone call informing her that her beloved husband is in fact still alive. So now the film is feeling a little While You Were Sleeping with a dash of Pearl Harbor and you get the feeling this film is going to be about Natalie deciding between these two men in her life.
Then Tobey Maguire goes postal. And you get the feeling this is going to be one of those thriller, "what is going to happen now?" kind of movies. And I am really excited about it.
The lead actors always have been strong, even if they have had their share of unfortunate mis-steps, and I am hoping this movie doesn't disappoint. But if the movie is as confused to its genre as the trailer is, it is doomed to fail to lie up to expectations.
Anyone else see the trailer...and crack up the entire time Tobey Maguire was on screen?
I mean... Tobey Maguire playing an ANGRY SOLDIER? Hilarious! This is going to be one of the best worst movies ever! I'm definitely going to see this when I need a laugh! ----- Daffy, do you have any appreciation for actors who go beyond the roles they are usually typecasted into? Think Will Ferrel in Stranger Than Fiction & Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Both critically acclaimed films. Both not up your alley, I'm sure. ---- I love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! That was a great movie, but not because Jim Carrey went against type; because he was actually good at playing against type.
Certain actors should rarely, if ever, try to play against type. Tobey Maguire is one of those. Ever seen Spider-Man 3? There's a reason many people find the black suit parts of that to be laughable; it's because Tobey Maguire can't play angry; he just comes off as silly... it works in that movie because they never take it too seriously. This however... is a drama. Like I said, it's going to be hilarious!
Tobey is capable of great drama and emotional depth - Seabiscuit and The Cider House Rules come to mind. The Spiderman movies were an entirely different genre. He's multi-dimensional as an actor. I don't see the trailer as being confused to it's genre, and even if it was, is that a crime? Does everything have to be put away in neat little boxes? I also do not get the Pearl Harbor references, at all. Wars unfortunately share many things in common.
I also do not get the Pearl Harbor references, at all.
Pearl Harbor plot summary:
Rafe is an energetic young pilot who is selected to fly with the British in Europe while America is still not at war. After Rafe is shot down and presumed killed, however, Danny comforts Rafe's former lover, Evelyn, and the two draw closer. But, when Rafe turns up alive, the two former friends become enemies, and it is through the turmoil of Pearl Harbor that the two may reconcile their differences.
I also know some history, and WWII Pearl Harbor is quite different than the war in Afghanistan. I'm sure there's a lot more to Brothers, and Pearl Harbor, than that condensed summary. I'm sure they'll be quite different films. You can't categorize and judge a film just by seeing the trailer, just because there's a complicated love relationship in both of them, and in countless other films, some about war and others not. Ridiculous.
Are they the only two films in the history of filmdom that contain a love triangle? It's still not the same; a different time, different place, different war, different culture, different people, different circumstances . . . you could go on and on. It's not "the" love triange from Pearl Harbor. I wonder why actors go into making films at all when I read some of these ignorant comments, I really do.
"Rafe is an energetic young pilot who is selected to fly with the British in Europe while America is still not at war. After Rafe is shot down and presumed killed, however, Danny comforts Rafe's former lover, Evelyn, and the two draw closer. But, when Rafe turns up alive, the two former friends become enemies, and it is through the turmoil of Pearl Harbor that the two may reconcile their differences."
Pearl Harbor and Brothers love stories are similar. Not identical, but very similar.
I just think it's unfair to write off (or not) or generalize about an entire film based on its having similarities with another film (I got that from the tone of some of the comments, that they felt it wasn't a good thing). There's an entire world of other things in that film.
"Which television star called off her wedding the night before the nuptials? She changed her mind after having a sexy fling with the best man." [NY Daily News]
Alias and Hangover star Bradley Cooper, who's made memorable appearances in Nip/Tuck and starred in the short-lived Kitchen Confidential (and also is rumored to be the favorite for the title role in the big-screen Green Lantern) will co-star in the Garry Marshall-directed ensemble romantic comedy [currently filming] Valentine's Day:
Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher are in final negotiations to star in the movie, which has five slightly interconnecting stories playing out during a Valentine's Day in Los Angeles.
Roberts is an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to L.A. Cooper, on the same flight, is a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player [Eric Dane].
How can they be filming if they are in "final negotiations" with all the stars??? Ann is in the play through the end of this week, so I doubt she is currently filming.
You know what's funny about the Brothers love triangle, about 1 being dead and then not-dead, is that plot was done a lot in the old Rock Hudson/Doris Day movies, lol.
Ok sorry I was wrong, the mind is fuzzy but "Move Over Darling" was pretty funny (it was with James Garner). Hey what can I say I was a child whos parents played these vids over and over for to keep me out of trouble!
How can they be filming if they are in "final negotiations" with all the stars???
That info is from 2009-05-12.
July 8, 2009 We've heard a fair amount about the upcoming film 'Valentine's Day'; now they've started shooting. Here are two members of the ensemble cast, Bradley Cooper and Julia Roberts, shooting a scene at LAX.
^^^ If you don't remember, in this film Julia's character is an army officer on leave from Iraq who's on a flight to LA. Bradley's character is on the same flight; his character is a gay man whose lover is a "closeted football player."

With word that the studio may be going for a reboot of the franchise, with a new actor it would appear, who might be able to step into the red boots of the iconic DC hero? Considering the fact that a relative unknown was cast as the Man of Steel last time, with Routh’s most well-known work coming from his time on the soap One Life to Live, here are some actors hovering on the outside of major fame, and a couple of more household names, who might make Clark Kent proud!
* Joseph Gordon-Levitt: For your consideration, an actor who has been working since he was a child, but is just now getting wide recognition. Getting his major break on the TV series Third Rock From the Sun, he’s set to star as Cobra Commander in the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. With a fresh face, strong profile and a frame that muscle could be packed onto for the Superman parts of filming, Levitt has a great canvas on which to paint the persona of DC’s flagship hero. Image courtesy of hitflix.com.
* Emile Hirsch: Another budding young star, Hirsch is no stranger to work with special effects and the world of comics and animation. Starring in 2008’s Speed Racer, Hirsch has some experience in an action film, and has also proven his dramatic ability in films such as Milk and Into the Wild. He lost quite a bit of weight for his role in Wild, proving that he’s able to mold and change his body for a role. With lots of critical acclaim for his performances in those two noted films, Hirsch would add credible acting talent to a reboot.
* Ryan Gosling: Not a typical Hollywood actor, Gosling has made a name, and a solid critical reputation, playing quirky and unique characters in films such as Lars and the Real Girl and Half Nelson. Choosing Gosling could add some “new branding” on the classic hero. Warner Bros.’ risk with a different direction would certainly stoke interest from those who have seen every film in the Superman series as well as those who are curious. Gosling is also approaching thirty, and using an actor who has a few years on someone such as Routh would also be part of a new approach.
* Jake Gyllenhaal: Someone who certainly is no stranger to the silver screen, Gyllenhaal would add a huge boost in star power and name recognition to a Superman project. Gyllenhaal wouldn’t need much work to be physically ready for the film; consider his work in the film Jarhead, and he can certainly handle a demanding role, physically or emotionally, as seen in both The Day After Tomorrow and Brokeback Mountain. Imagine the buildup and anticipation with an actor of Gyllenhaal’s stature attached to a project with this much behind it!
* James Marsden: A little old, at thirty-six, to play the boy in blue? Maybe. But audiences, especially comic book audiences, already know his work as Cyclops in the X-Men franchise as well as his appearance in Superman Returns! Would it be interesting to cast someone who already made an appearance in the film series before as a different character? Maybe so, but an angle exploring a little bit older superman could prove interesting as a reboot or continuation of the storyline from the last film. Marsden could certainly pull it off!
So who else should be on this list? Are there other actors, perhaps on TV, with small parts in films, or at your local playhouse who should wear the cape and symbolic S? If so, let us, and more importantly Warner Bros., know! Should they quickly resign Brandon Routh? Tell us your thoughts!
Disney Announces an Exciting Comic-Con 2009 Line-Up
Walt Disney Studios has announced their very exciting line-up for the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con today that starts on July 23rd in only a few more weeks. We've heard tidbits and details about what to expect, but we now finally have confirmation on everything, and this looks like it'll be some the best stuff we'll see. ... Oddly missing from their line-up is anything on Mike Newell's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie. Although you can be certain that Disney has got a few surprises in store for fans attending both of these presentations. Maybe we'll get to at least see the trailer for Prince of Persia during one of these panels at some point, I hope? I'm definitely very excited for both of these - Disney has a fantastic line-up for the next year and they're showcasing the cream of the crop here. Word is that we'll get to see the first official trailer for Tron and I have a feeling this is where we'll see the first footage from Alice in Wonderland as well!
Gyllenhaal wouldn’t need much work to be physically ready for the film; consider his work in the film Jarhead, and he can certainly handle a demanding role, physically or emotionally, as seen in both The Day After Tomorrow and Brokeback Mountain.
Oddly missing Prince of Persia bulked-up body mention.
Gyllenhaal would add a huge boost in star power and name recognition to a Superman project...Imagine the buildup and anticipation with an actor of Gyllenhaal’s stature attached to a project with this much behind it!

POP not at Comic-Con? Did that awful sexist LA Times feature about females at Comic-Con, about doing Jake's washboard abs/laundry have anything to do with it, since that was the most repeated and reviled quote of the story? Or is POP so wonderful they're saving it for an explosive debut? Yeah right. Even TDK had PR/press/event buzz way in advance. Who knows, maybe POP won't be in theatres at all or even dvd, it's so bad.
Another thing, everyone criticized Jake for not looking Persian. WTH does Gemma look like, lol. Not exactly Persian herself. And maybe she's in love/engaged but seems like she's doing exactly what Ted C said, the smart ones go behind the scenes to find the straight men, and man she's only 23? And isn't she in a hurry to get hitched to the last remaining straight men and quick! Bearding with Reese did one good thing for Jake, it relieved him of having to fauxmance his female costars, Gemma, Jessica, Natalie, whoever else in the future like Anne, and it lets them live their lives and not have to revolve around his.
"Bearding with Reese did one good thing for Jake, it relieved him of having to fauxmance his female costars, Gemma, Jessica, Natalie, whoever else in the future like Anne"
I bet they're relieved too! They don't have to fake an on-set "whilst filming" tabloid romance with Toothy the Obvious!
What barely hanging onto A list married movie actor who is always Mr. Macho was seen, umm, how can I put this, getting serviced by a male assistant director on his latest movie. A lot of different guesses, Russell Crowe is mentioned quite often.
"I think I am just by the sheer fact of my existence. I know that I personally would have loved to have me around when I was a gay teenager. Because when I was a gay teenager there weren't that many openly gay celebrities. And I would have loved to have been like, ‘Wow look at that dude. He's gay. He's REALLY gay. And he's successful and he's not apologizing for that and he seems really happy.' So I hope that though they may not agree with everything I say that I inspire gay youth to be themselves and to say what they think and to be proud of who they are."
— Perez Hilton on why he is good for gay America. [EW]
Dammit Jake! I told you not to plug that rotating vibrating purple butt dildo I gave you for my Fourth of July present into just any old outlet.
LOL!
FilmDrunk "Brothers" trailer comment:
When Tobey returns does he actually catch his broha and wife together? How awkward would that be? Walking in to see your brother getting plowed in the cornhole by a 12 inch black death-cock worn by the woman you married?!?!
OT: guess what I had a birthday last week and I noticed this afternoon at 4:30 when I had to show ID that my driver license expired when I had that birthday, but of course the DMV never sent me any notice and how often do I look at my license, like hardly ever. So I just looked online for the nearest DMV offices to make an appointment (without one you end up waiting 2 or 3 hours), turns out they aren't taking appointments (wth?) but since I shouldn't wait too long for an appointment date anyway I figured I better go tomorrow and just get it done, right? Well no..there's a notice saying since California is in a fiscal crunch all DMV offices are closed on Fridays and no select ones are open on Saturdays either anymore. Great. Grrrr. OK rant over!
Thanks 8:10. Now I have to look up online what happens if you get caught driving with an expired license..I'm also worried that getting me into the DMV is really a sting operation for towels I've stolen at hotels. Yikes.
A few minutes ago: Big 6.0 earthquake in China, 10,000 homes destroyed. No reports of deaths yet, 300 people injured so far. Expect tragedies. ((China))
If someone left me in the dust like that, I'd stick the crutch in their face too. No problem and certainly no guilt. Maybe Jake is back on crutches again and she did the same damn thing, if he got pissed and stuck the crutch in her face she would deserve it IMO. Run Jake run! Hobble if you have to! Just get the hell out!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 1038 Newer› Newest»Bale was GIVEN a career because of Batman, and now he pisses and moans about doing another one.
Comic Book Movie
Jake Gyllenhaal was the runner-up to play Bats anyway. I wish he had gotten the role cause I think he wouldn't be a bitch.
They love me, they really love me!
"This male Celebrity Musician has an addiction. He loves celeb gossip"
So whoever it is, he probably keeps up with all the Jake/Toothy Tile news! And if you're reading this, give us everything you know!
Yes, do spill and kick Jake's ass for us if you get a chance! lol
The bad brother does NOT eff his bro's wife. Sorry to disappoint y'all. actually the trailer suggests he does.
Suggesting that there will be sex - I believe they did that on purpose.
Jake Gyllenhaal was the runner-up to play Bats anyway. I wish he had gotten the role cause I think he wouldn't be a bitch.
Awww! :)
Atticus said... And so do I! I nap, eat and poop 18 hours a day, what else do you think I do?!
We need more slashy details! Don't worry, we won't tell anyone.
Yup, this guy is worse than me. lol
Two+ years of reeking, and 45 percent still think Jake is gay.
Lipstick on a pig.
So what, they still think Jessica Biel and Justin are still gay after 2 years plus, double bearding, LOL!!
"Jake/Austin, Hayden/bf, are like boring old married people"
Is that a good thing?
Depends.
"Depends"
As in "depends on something" or Depends as in adult diaper?
Hey Austin people at WFT2 are saying you're so old, married and senile you need to wear Depends!
Jake no, they're saying you so loose cuz of my goose you need Depends so STFU.
My husband, he's so annoying.
Go back working on your embroidery, sewing, needlepoint whatever it is. I'll be in the bathroom busy with my new Surfer magazine.
I have an existencial doubt:
Why Chin's PR keep using JJ site to promote her?
80/95% of the comments there always have a mocking tone, even the ones that aren't about Jake's gayness, they laugh about her uglyness or the expensive but unflattering clothes instead.
I know there are a good quantity of "Reeke friendly" sites out there.
Why insisting with the other ones??
Is this some kind of PR strategy or what?
finally met Reese last night and Jake.. She was absolutely adorable, so friendly and so very very TINY..She was with Jake at a low key wine bar out here in LA..She said she had a bruise on her eye from that softball movie shes filming, she got hit in the eye and so she said the picture might not be that great haha....
... but she was just beautiful and so nice..
encounter
10:43 probably is a babbler.
And Biel and Timberlake had far fewer people thinking they were gay, more like 10% than 45%, and they haven't been on tabloid covers the way Reeke has.
Thanks for the answer,10:48
Hmm, I just checked that poll 11:04
It has JT at 40% and he is listed higher than Jake wh as of today is about 39%. Jessica is around 19% n that silly poll.
JT & Jess=59%!
10:43 probably is a babbler.
Of course he is a babbler. LOL!
The person who addressed the question about "significant others" to Ted may, or may not, have been referring to the public girlfriends, or the private boyfriends
That person should ask more precise questions :)
Why Chin's PR keep using JJ site to promote her?
JJ is PR friendly and has a lot of visitors (same as Popsugar).
And he looks good with Christian Bale. :)
I think Johnny is more of a wacky type of loony. I think he could be a great Riddler. The Jocker is darker and more impossing, maybe Sean Penn would be good for the part, but i think the public is already bored of him.
All I can say is after seeing him this weekend, Johnny's still got it. More please! :)
Johnny Depp this, Johnny Depp that, someone might think Depp is the only actor in Hollywood. What about hot, young bucks like Jake?
Jake has the potential to be that kind of actor, I see parallels with Edward Scissorhands and Bubble Boy, they are similar to me, able to express emotion well. I think Jake will go far too. :)
Johnny Depp will eat my dust!
Johnny Depp is also charismatic, Jake isn’t.
He was hot!
Johnny Depp achieves a connection between his character and the public taht is amazing.
Boys want to be him, girls want to be with him magic?
Yes.
I can do better - boys want to be him or with him, girls want to be with him magic!
True. :)
Johnny Depp is also charismatic, Jake isn’t.
The "it" factor - confidence, presence, looks, ...?
I also think Johnny took the place that River Phoenix left vacant
It has JT at 40% and he is listed higher than Jake wh as of today is about 39%.
Jake is gay - 46%
JT is gay - 28%
Ed Wood, the man reputed to be the worst filmmaker of all time, fancied wearing skirts and angora sweaters when directing :)
I love it! :)
11:11, you clearly did not check that "silly" poll.
28% think Justin is gay
18% think Jessica is gay
But keep sticking your head in the sand and telling yourself Reeke is working.
46% think Jake is gay
^^And Martin Landau made the best Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood. :) I love Tim Burton, can't wait to see his Alice in Wonderland. Anne H. looked great as the White Queen in the pic I saw of her.
Oops, you beat me 1:26. :-)
I also love it that actors like Depp and DiCaprio looking more mature and are just coming into their prime
Deep is 46, Leo is 34. Deep was blessed with a great face, Leo not so much - he often looks like an aged baby-face.
^^Probably so - I almost hate to see anyone else as Joker, but I got that Joker vibe from Public Enemies. Indelible stamp is right. :(
Johnny Depp
IMDb
14 projects in development, 3 movies in post-production
And I don't see him taking over the Joker role in this cycle. Heath put an indelible stamp on that, and I think we may have to wait many years before someone else attempts to take on that role.
ITA and I think Johnny Depp respects Heath too much to reprise his Joker role. He even named a part of his island after Heath.
He was in the film version of Sweeny Todd and nobody went to see that.
Sweeny Todd did OK:
Production Budget: $50 million
Domestic: $52 million
Foreign: $99 million
Worldwide: $152 million
I wanted to see ST, but for some reason wasn't able. I'll have to rent it. I think JD got decent reviews for it, even for his singing. It's always been an interesting to me, ST.
10:51 said "10:43: BUSTED!!!! You got that from GB, and don't say you found it on google or on your own because that didn't pop up on google, you have to register for that site, LOL!!"
You've got to ask, does it matter, anyhow, never heard of the expression why keep a dog and bark yourself. Remember, this is rather mindless celebrity gossip being dicussed, hardly state secrets.
Babblers are mindless, too. lol
I think JD got decent reviews for it, even for his singing.
More than decent reviews - Golden Globe for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.
I stand corrected! :)
Dear Ted:
Already sent my guess on Toothy Tile, now it's Nevis Divine's turn. He has to be James Franco. I don't know why, but I feel so sure (on both guesses).

Dear Let's Be Franco:
J.F. has his own vices to worry about. He's just as delicious as Nevis, tho!

Queerty
James Franco like to take it up the ass???
Maybe Franco is a top?
According to blind item guesses, Franco is a top or versatile.
I'm sure 2:52 PM feels better now. lol
Madea Actor Terrell Carter Outed… By His Ex-Boyfriend
Son of a bitch ex-boyfriend.
I love taking photographs.

Actor’s Magic Wand Swings the Other Way
DailyMirror - Which magical actor is a hit with the ladies but keeps joking that they’re wasting his time as his wand swings the other way?
blind gossip
Silly Chin!
Sophia turns 27 today! Happy Birthday, Sophia!
Speaking Of Richard Gere And Furry Animals.....
1. dump the beard
2. spend more time with friends
3. spend more time doing sports
4. take Atti to the beach
5. find good indie project and do it for peanuts
6. dance!
"4. take Atti to the beach"
You mean
1. let Atti bite the beard's ugly face off and run her pathetic ass away
2. spend more time with Atti
3. spend more time doing Atti whoops no how about
3. spend more time doing Austin and letting Atti watch and give commentary
4. take Atti to the beach
5. find good indie project and do it for dog food treats
6. dance with Atti!
7. take Atti to the vet and get his balls put back on
8. take Atti to his bitches so he make lots of baby Attis
9. let Atti make love to boy and girl dogs all day long
10. Let Atti do what he wants so Daddy can get his charisma back

That's going to be kinky sex tape: two actors and a German Shepherd :)

Ever.
"That's going to be kinky sex tape: two actors and a German Shepherd"
Better than two dead guys, a pig and a gun!
"getting serviced by a male assistant director"
So I was wondering, if a straight dude gets a bj from a gay dude, because maybe he heard gay dudes give better head, does it make him gay?
Like if a girl gets head from a lesbian, because girls know how to do it better to each other, does it make her gay?
Seriously, I was wondering, if neither the gay or the girl reciprocates, that is, does receiving it make them gay? I'm not sure. What do y'all think?
"if neither the gay"
^^ Sorry I meant "if neither the guy or the girl reciprocates"
Go Dusty!

Did you know a gyllenhaal is a type of bug? Some long winged obscure flying things discovered iirc in the early 1800's. I'd be surprised if it didn't have leech-like qualities.

Massive Power Outage Hits West Los Angeles
KCAL9 reported that Santa Monica Boulevard in particular was suffering horrendous traffic problems. Meanwhile, police say traffic lights are out, snarling traffic across Brentwood, Westwood and other neighborhoods in the area.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the transformer near Nebraska and Cotner avenues at 7:47 p.m., the department's Lauren deRosier said.
Next time Austin give me a gift that can be plugged in anywhere. By the way, you owe me a new one. This one burnt up and I had to leave it there.

Love it!
So I was wondering, if a straight dude gets a bj from a gay dude, because maybe he heard gay dudes give better head, does it make him gay?
That's not enough to make him gay, but it does make him not straight.
Told ya living on a farm in Martha's Vineyard is better than Hollywood Hills in LA California.
So why no pics of Jake at the White House, was he making cow eyes at Paul Rudd?
No, not Paul Rudd, it was a very cute WH Security Officer, so pictures had to be classified.

we had to keep it short and sweet, but I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time!

Sometimes it does take a village, people.

The Sands of Time: A Jerry Bruckheimer Production

What?! I bet he's gay, too.

Awwwww, very sweet, Anon. 7:44. :)
Random Thoughts
while in the back of my mind asking how Tobey Maguire is getting top billing as the dead hubby
Tobey didn't deserve top billing as the live hubby, either!
IMDb comment trashing Tobey:
Anyone else see the trailer...and crack up the entire time Tobey Maguire was on screen?
I mean... Tobey Maguire playing an ANGRY SOLDIER? Hilarious! This is going to be one of the best worst movies ever! I'm definitely going to see this when I need a laugh!
-----
Daffy, do you have any appreciation for actors who go beyond the roles they are usually typecasted into? Think Will Ferrel in Stranger Than Fiction & Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Both critically acclaimed films. Both not up your alley, I'm sure.
----
I love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind!
Tobey won't be amused.
Ryan Gosling and his friend Zach Shields will release their debut album in October under the name Dead Man's Bones.
Yes, I saw Pearl Harbor. Lots of films have a love triangle in their story. So what?
I also know some history, and WWII Pearl Harbor is quite different than the war in Afghanistan. I'm sure there's a lot more to Brothers, and Pearl Harbor, than that condensed summary. I'm sure they'll be quite different films. You can't categorize and judge a film just by seeing the trailer, just because there's a complicated love relationship in both of them, and in countless other films, some about war and others not. Ridiculous.
Lots of films have a love triangle in their story. So what?
Nothing, just a lot of people recognising Pearl Harbor love triangle from the Brothers trailer.

Pearl Harbor and Brothers love stories are similar. Not identical, but very similar.
So what? Why should anyone care about that? We haven't seen Brothers yet to make a determination if they are similar in reality.
In Brothers they are family, not friends - so they could never become enemies. It's a different dynamic right there.
Details. They did look like enemies in the last part of the trailer.
So what? Why should anyone care about that?
People noticed and commented, ergo people care on some level. I don't think it's a bad thing.
You must have a very low-key family 12:24, in the next frame they could be embracing and apologizing, who knows? :)
I just think it's unfair to write off (or not) or generalize about an entire film based on its having similarities with another film (I got that from the tone of some of the comments, that they felt it wasn't a good thing). There's an entire world of other things in that film.
I just think it's unfair to write off an entire film based on its having similarities with another film
I agree, but you can't fix it.
Agreed. :)

So nice of them to have a gay love story and to hire a gay actor for the role :)

Anne will be free in September for "Love and Other Drugs" filming.

With recent news that Brandon Routh’s contract with Warner Bros. has been allowed the lapse, the star of the recent Superman Returns finds himself on the outside looking in.

First Showing
A New Superman? Consider the Possibilities

Emile Hirsch - no

And maybe she's in love/engaged but seems like she's doing exactly what Ted C said, the smart ones go behind the scenes to find the straight men
Good thinking, Gemma! :)
WTH does Gemma look like, lol. Not exactly Persian herself.
Gemma has dark hair and eyes, she's pretty and has a nice body - good enough for a Persian Princess!
What barely hanging onto A list married movie actor who is always Mr. Macho was seen, umm, how can I put this, getting serviced by a male assistant director on his latest movie.

Happy Belated Birthday! :)
"Walking in to see your brother getting plowed in the cornhole by a 12 inch black death-cock worn by the woman you married?!?!"
Yeah, how did my sweet innocent young wife learn to ram and thrust that big dildo like that anyway?
Thanks 8:10. Now I have to look up online what happens if you get caught driving with an expired license..I'm also worried that getting me into the DMV is really a sting operation for towels I've stolen at hotels. Yikes.

Wow, not one post about Reese's eye and the fug pictures at TMZ?
We were waiting for you, 12.09.
So 12.09, do you think Toothy hit his beard?
Or if you're a babbler, that it was an elbow to the eye during tender loving sex?
Or if you're a JIB believer, that Jake hit his beard that he's dating during rough sex?
I dunno, Reese's injury to her face looks a lot like the bottom of what Jake is holding to me!
