hey, P-Bitch! I live in LA to and I've heard LOTS of stuff about Jake-y and being gay (but really bisexual, as if theirs a diff).
A guy friend of mine that's str8 does valet parking for xtra $ sometimes, and he SWEARS ON HIS LIFE AND ON HIS MAMMA'S GRAVE that about 2 years ago he saw Jake kissing this older dude when the stopped the car and didn't think anyone had come up yet to get his keys. Hours later when they came out Jake signed an autograph for my friend but said no when he asked if he could take a picture with his cell. My friend kept saying that if he had had his cell out and could have gotten a pic of that man and Jake he wouldn't ever probably have to work again 'cause he would sell it. I told him that was wrong, but he would have done it anyway.
I totally believe my friend cause he doesn't have a problem with gay people and he didn't have a reason to make it up. He' isn't the kind to do that.

I agree with you. It's Jake's life and should be his decision, no-one else's. I also think that if it is true Jake wanted to come out but that he was told he wouldn't be hired again hollywood that it is the system that is ultimately to blame. I do think he has gone overboard with Reese and that this may end up hurting him more than helping in the end, but he probably did this because he was scared.

I went to all of Jake's movies. Not my fault he made movies nobody wanted to see. Rendition? Every movie about the war, torture, etc. was a huge failure. And while the crowds didn't turn out for Zodiac, it got a lot of critical praise. Jake is not an actor that, to date, can bring people into the theaters just because of who he is. Do you get that 1:15? And seems to me the bearding started with Rendition, so by your reasoning Rendition should have been one of the biggest hits of the year. Meanwhile BBM, when Jake was being very ambiguous about his sexuality, did just fine at the box office.

2:17, Jake was almost finished filming Zodiac when BBM was released. BBM was complete before he film Jarhead or Proof although they were released before BBM. I think he worked occasionally on Zodiac movie, but wrapping up during the 06 Oscars.

During the past week, I’ve used some of my longtime contacts in the publishing business to find out if the rumors I was hearing from a publishing business friend about a supposed upcoming book about Toothy Tile were true. In the end, I got more than I bargained for.
In an exclusive interview with two high up editors at NYC’s major publishing houses, IUC has learned at least two books are in the works about the epic saga of Toothy Tile, including one by the star himself - Jake Gyllenhaal. According to the first editor, Gyllenhaal is currently at work on a tell all autobiography, in which he’ll use as an opportunity to reveal to the world he is indeed Toothy Tile. “It seems he wants to write his life story and let the world know he’s dabbled in same sex relationships,” the editor said. “He’ll use the book to clear up all the longstanding rumors about his sexuality. The book will definitely go to auction and end up with a seven figure advance. There’s huge interest in this.”

The editor said he became privy to this information when it was leaked to him from a representative in Gyllenhaal’s camp. “It was a heads up call, which happens all the time in our industry,” the editor said. “Celebs who want to write books often have their reps and literary agents phone publishers to gauge their interest before going out with a proposal. In this particular case, I have no doubt the book can be a no.1 bestseller. First thought I have here is it’s perfect for Oprah. Just imagine Jake on Oprah’s couch in tears telling her he would have come out sooner if he could of but he was worried about his friends, family and career. Meanwhile, IUC has learned Gyllenhaal is not the only person at work revealing the truth about Toothy Tile. An editor at Random House confirmed to IUC last week he received a proposal recently from a L.A. based author about Toothy. The editor confirmed the writer was represented by a major New York literary agent. He refused to reveal the name of the writer because of confidentiality purposes. ”It’s a solid proposal, a very compelling story, something that could make waves,” the editor said. The other horribly insulting thing is putting a subliminal PoP poster in a movie - I would never go see that if my life depended on it because it's so obviously manipulative.
I'm skeptical because to be honest I don't expect Jake to be truthful. I have come to expect wheeler dealing from him so I think this is probably more of the same.
Maybe Halperin's being played too. And I think the idea of a "tell-all" but "now I am saved!" with Reese Witherspoon is probably where it's at. Becuase anything else is going to severely embarrass her and the film studio trying to promote this film right now. Unless everyone's cool with it.

Suppose, in this economic meltdown nobody bothers with it, it's a victim of credit crunch times and it belly flops to the depths of the ocean after a week or two? And let's face it, Jake's nearly pushing 30 soon, it's a bit late to be building hordes of new screaming fans (although it worked for Viggo but he was less exposed, more mysterious). Matthew Frost has been a longtime friend of both Jake and Kirsten. I wouldn't read too much into his appearance. He has hung out with Jake on and off over the years and is obviosly in the closer circle of friends.

The Gala premiere of Lukas Moodysson's Mammoth took place in Stockholm yesterday.
I'm writing on a review but I have to tell you right now that Mammoth was one of the most touching and heartbreaking movie experiences I've had the last 15 years (if I exclude another Swedish movie: "Let the Right One In", which will be almost impossible to beat).
Where do we put focus? What choices do we take in our lives? This film asks so many profound questions about how we live and how we take care of each other. Thought-provoking, without ever being condemning or simplistic.
The enthralling key, why Mammoth succeds so well, is the outstanding performances from the cast. All of them (and I really mean all of them) are extremely natural and convincing, due to a fantastic script and brilliant directing of course, but still. Most impressive is how fantastic Lukas succeds with all female actors, from little Sophie Nyweide, Marife Necesito etc to the most brilliant of them all, Michelle Williams, who is just mesmerising.
Lukas Moodysson has crafted almost a mastepiece and one of his best movies ever.

This gossip is not only the latest attempt, on the part of CAA and now Disney, to pollute the Toothy Tile story, simultaneously undermining the credibility of one of the few gossip columnists prepared to out Jake, but it is also the clearest indication that Disney has given up. Bruckheimer has seemed nervous for the past few weeks, and now I know why.
I think they've decided that constant Reeking (ie. staged pics) will not be enough to sell PoP to the gullible masses. The gay rumors persist in spite of 15 months of a staged fauxmance, and in this market, every bad rumor makes a difference. They also know that Jake is a slightly unstable, walking Freudian slip who not only has to be monitored and controlled constantly, but also seems to have a hard time securing other movie roles. They are not going to let him ruin this $100 million franchise, and they can't squash the rumors permanently, so it's time to pull out the old adage : if you can't beat them, join them.

I don't think that there's a shred of truth to this nonsense, but the rumor itself is suggests that Disney/CAA want to acknowledge Jake's gay past, and then claim that he's reformed. I don't think the pictures were originally meant to address the Ian chatter, although I think the added baby bump watch was. I think they were a reaction to Hilarie's comment about Austin disappearing on the weekends.
That's why they had to label them as happening on Saturday, despite the weather. They thought we'd be too dumb to notice and/or it was already in the works and they didn't count on the bad weather.
And that's why we got Matthew in them. I mean, Matthew is such a good friend of Austin's, surely he wouldn't visit L.A. and hang out with Jake without Austin along, now would he? Ergo Austin couldn't possibly be disappearing to L.A. on weekends.
As for the book, if Jake had already signed up a deal with a publisher, we probably would have already heard about it. Publishers like to get that news out there because it's pr for them, and lets other people they may be pursuing know whom they've signed up. But they wouldn't say anything about the details of the book, indeed because you never know what is going to end up in it. I kind of wonder if this isn't old news, that Jake was maybe thinking about that when we got all that chatter from Ted about his coming out, being on a cover, etc.
No, my argument makes sense even if there's no definitive proof (video or testimonial) that Jake is gay.
There are a lot of people and fangirls who don't believe gay rumors. Official media reports only about straight Jake.
How would letting everyone know that Jake indeed had gay sex help stop the rumors? Jake would also admit that he's a liar and isn't straight.

I'm sure Jake hangs out with Matt, but this is the first photo we've had of them together in years, and it just happens to be when Reese is along? Right. I think what OMG poster is saying is that this is being used as "proof" that Austin is not hanging out with Jake in L.A. on weekend breaks from filming One Tree HIll, because if he was, he'd have gone along on this outing since he's friends with Matt.
My guess is that none of the Reeking pictures we get are actually taken on the weekends, even though they always seem to come out on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings. Photo opps are probably all done during normal, Monday-Friday 9-5 working hours.

4:51 the Matt Reeke pics were definately NOT taken on Friday 02/6 or Sat 02/7 because it was raining cats and dogs all over SoCal especially in LA. Freeways and cities got flooded it was that bad. Look at the planters in the pics, the dirt is dry and no water on the sidewalks or streets. The shopping pics of just Reeke are harder to tell because it doesn't show them outside but I highly doubt Jake was in the pouring rain in shorts and if you notice none of the other cars in the parking garage have rain droplets on them. So there you go. Those 2 are so fake about everything I'm starting to wonder if Jake isn't a real human being but is just a bunch of pixels and an artist's rendering.
Random thought: anybody noticed how Frosst, Fisher & Levine (all friends of Jake) look alike?
Even if that book story is true and Jake professes his undying straightening by Reese, I highly doubt this will put an end to OMG and WFT2, quite the opposite!
