As Jake himself said in an interview, Heath carried BBM, if he didn't do such a great job the movie wouldn't have become what it became. Though everyone involved did a great job, Heath carried it obviously. This film was a career boost for Jake, he really should have acknowledged Heath.

It's so painfully obvious that noone could be that insensitive, and that the entire thing was a contractual setup of some kind.
Well, maybe so, I hope that's it, but I've got to wonder about the sensitivity of Ms. R now too. Big area or not, they both knew that's where Heath was, and the short time frame after someone has passed away, I'm sure - and that courting photographers would be in poor taste. The only people I know of who have zero sensitivity for things like that are corporate types, where money is concerned.

Q: I am wondering about the actors Michael Ontkean (I love this actor!) and Mitchell Lichtenstein. Why aren't they more on TV/in movies? Has their gay role in a past movie been detrimental to their career? I am also curious about Ryan Bittle (who played gay Eric in Dawson's Creek - very fine performance if you ask me!). He's back it seems, but he hadn't acted much since 2003. Any particular reason for that? – j.U.d.E., Brussels, Belgium

So what does it mean that Ontkean, Litchenstein, and Bittle all played gay roles, but then watched their careers slow down? Is it homophobia at work or just the inevitable waning of opportunity that happens to almost all actors?
It’s impossible to say. For every Laura Dern or Ellen Degeneres, who both claim their careers stalled after Ellen’s celebrated “Puppy Episode,” there’s a Tom Hanks, William Hurt, or Heath Ledger who rode a gay role to new heights of success.

It already happened, and how is pimping yet another B&J ice cream flavor using by recreating hte bed in supporting world peace?Are the proceeds going to some organization? It's just another PR stunt to pimp a product and it has noting to do with world peace. At least when they hooked up with the Dave Matthews band, they had them create a limited flavor and a % went to charity, I see nothing here that this flavor was created by Maggie and it's going to charity.

Famously closeted stars included Rock Hudson, Merv Griffin and Paul Lynde. Ahhh, Kirsten Dunst. I have a love hate relationship with you, and this one really tests the limits. I really wanted to talk about this yesterday, but just didn't have the chance. According to an interview Kirsten gave to E!, she sought treatment at Cirque because she was depressed. This of course comes just a few days after reports drifted out of the atmosphere that Eva Mendes was at Cirque to research a role. No one would ever go there for substance abuse except for Lindsay Lohan.
To make matters worse, Kirsten said that anyone who makes fun of depression or talks about her depression is a really bad person. So, basically she gives an interview to talk about her depression, but no one else can ever talk about the fact she is depressed or we are really bad people. I think she lost me at what the hell is she depressed about anyway? The fact that for some roll of the dice somewhere she has made somewhere close to $40M from acting?
Perhaps she is depressed because she can't decide if she should vacation in Hawaii again or perhaps try Europe. The thing is, that when she says crap like this, it makes light of people who really are depressed.
Kirsten says that reports of her being at Cirque for drug or alcohol abuse are wrong. "I didn't go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression. It was a good six months before I decided to go away.
"I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it."

If you missed it in theaters and haven't seen in on here! TV, now is your chance to rent or buy "Shelter," one of the best LGBT movies of this year or any year. I've seen it about a dozen times since I was given a screener of it last summer and it gets better with each viewing and my admiration for the work of stars Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe and director-writer Jonah Markowitz.
While this has been labeled as "a gay surfing flick," surfing is really just a sexy backdrop for the story of Zach (Wright), a young man working a dead-end job and helping his needy sister care for her young son. When Zach becomes involved with the older brother of his best friend (Rowe), the relationship calls into question all of his assumptions about family, self-identity and the future.

George Clooney and his girlfriend Sarah Larson have split up after a year of dating, a source tells PEOPLE.
The actor's rep, Stan Rosenfield, would only say: "We do not comment on George's personal life."
The pair initially met in Las Vegas nearly four years ago, when Larson, a onetime Fear Factor winner, was a cocktail server at The Whiskey Bar. But it wasn't until the pair met for the second time in June 2007 in Las Vegas that sparks flew.
Larson, 29, and Clooney, 47, made their public debut together at the Venice and Deauville film festivals last September. Later that month, the twosome were injured in a motorcycle accident. Earlier this year, Larsen accompanied Clooney to the Oscars – the first girlfriend ever to go with him to the event. Though there was speculation that Clooney would end his longtime bachelorhood, in March the actor shot down rumors of an engagement.
Next up for Clooney is the Coen brothers movie Burn After Reading, co-starring Brad Pitt, due out in September.

Honestly why is it so hard to believe that famous people suffer depression too? Mental illness can hit anyone, it doesn't matter if you are rich or poor. I think Kiki's depression (probably true and that led to increased alcohol/drug intake which led to the stay at the rehab facility earlier this year) was clearly triggered by Heath's death.
I'm curious, if Reese is allowing her PR to plant all these "Jake to propose" "Jake wants kids" and the infamous "Reese won't live with Jake until after marriage-she's to traditional" (barf), I wonder if they would actually carry the phonymance far enough to really get married and these stories are the testing board.
