I'm not sure what 12:24 pm/ 12:38 is talking about. EOW was quite embraced by film distributors worldwide, especially compared to films like BBM for example. Much better than expected IMO, unless you expected blockbuster treatment for a $7 mil movie, which would be delusional.
EOW may be an indie but it was a wide released from day one domestically (over 2700 theaters) and it opened on a lot of markets internationally. In comparison BBM, with stellar reviews and massive Oscar buzz opened to only 15 theaters and later widest release was a little over 2000 theaters. Plenty of theater owners refused to play it in the US and it was banned in other countries. EOW didn't have any of that to deal with. Obviously Hollywood studios and theatre owners go for macho cop movies and EOW was no exception.
Jake is either a political wimp or he's just a lot more apathetic than his sister is.
That said, it kills me how so many so-called 'liberals' are 'breaking up' with Obama.
