Gayer Than Ever

Back and Ballsier Than Ever
Our beloved mystery closet job, Toothy Tile, is back, dancing the out-me dance yet again in Blind Vice Friday.

Blind Vice, Don't Tempt Me:
Toothy Tile makes it perfectly clear he's 100 percent certain this very column will never reveal his identity. Hmmm. That one is so funny, Toothy. Reminds me I forgot to tell you all that once my divorce comes through, I'll be engaged to the remaining unmarried Bush daughter!

One Fruit-of-the-Doom Blind Vice

OK, was going to do the Blind Vice story on the Academy Award-friendly actress who thinks her cats can read, which is why she has their names written on their separate litter boxes, but that tale simply pales in comparison to Toothy Tile, who’s back and gayer than, like, ever! Dude’s losin’ his recent, overly prissy, shy shit and gettin’ his non-Nellie nerve back on (much to everyone’s surprise, just not mine).

See, ol’ Tooth, our fave partner in sex-in-public crime is being just as brazen, only with words, not his crotch. The pretty boy (man, on occasion) is gleefully telling more than a few gossipy girls—which means boys, natch, in highly exaggerated fagola speak, but then, I’m sure you already knew that, hon-cakes—that he’s quite aware the hunt for his identity is on. And has been for sometime. Says he enjoys it, even. Who wouldn’t, really? Especially if you’re dead certain your identity will never be revealed. Yep, that’s right.

T2 says he’s havin’ such a fab gay ol’ experience of it all because he’s “sure,” as it’s been relayed to this columnist, that the true identity of Mr. Tile will never, ever be discussed by yours truly. Oh, really? Is that so?

Just don’t count on it, bud. What with the myriad lies to the public (I mean, really, you’re as bad about your true sexual persuasion as Cathy Douglas is with her age), you're on thin vice, babe, so watch it.

And it ain't: Matthew Broderick, Ricky Martin, Wentworth Miller

  1. I thought you had to be in serious denial, or living under a rock to NOT know Toothy is Jake Gyllenhaal by now! His boyfriend, who Ted has named Gray Goose, is non other than Austin Nichols. Think about it, Gray Goose, Wild Turkey, Austin Nichols! There are some pretty cute photos of them at a Lakers game a few years back, looking quite chummy, if I say so myself. He's currently bearding with Reese Witherspoon, Ted has given some clues to that as well, seeing as how Toothy went M.I.A for a minute, after getting what seem's to have been a hefty reality check from his handlers. Not long after that, Jake re-appears as Rees' arm candy, during their pr trip to Rome to showcase their new movie rendition, and some good ol' hetero PDA. And he think his secret is safe and sound? Well, well! I guess Jake is way more naive than I ever thought possible.

Your comments are refreshing, but anyone who's been following the celeb gossip for awhile knows that TT is most definitely Jake Gyllenhall.

Just take our word for it and try not to hurt yourselves :)

Perez was probably brought into the fold to discredit the Toothy saga. He fed JJ a load of bull, JJ published it, and the fact that it was totally false made many people doubt the TT BI entirely. Just look back at all the times this is brought up as evidence that the whole thing is BS.

Constantly there are posts berating The "Tedheads" who are the only ones who believe the TT saga which is complete fiction (insert Baby Tile argument here) blah blah blah.

Brilliant PR move IMO. Perez was the perfect insider to have do the deed and he'll continue to shill for Reeke, call Ryan and Abbie whores and everyone will assume that he is just expressing his own independant thoughts.

Did someone ask how these people get paid? "Ad space" is the answer you'll get if you ask but ad space doesn't get you real estate in LA. It would barely pay the rent their parents use to charge them to live in their basements.

Seems to me that keeping Jake staight is making a lot of hands dirty.

Really, there's no new info. Just a recap and TT kind of, sort of double-daring Ted to spill it. Whatever.

  8. Everyone in HW knows Jake is gay. Until he says the word and is on record to the public he is perceived as straight.

    DL comment:

"Most of them aren't even closeted in the usual way; their family, friends, agents, colleagues and the world around them all know the score. It's just that without the magic words 'I'm gay', no major media outlet will call them. Even if an actual story runs (like the chauffeur dish on Matt LeBlanc), the rest of the press just ignores it.

Even a minnow like Chad Allen was given the option of having the story ignored/buried, but bravely took a deep breath and officially came out; similarly Neil Patrick Harris chose to contradict the normal PR denials."

  10. Even a minnow like Chad Allen was given the option of having the story ignored/buried...

"Allen grew up in Hollywood, where almost anything goes, and he was able to explore his sexuality within the close-knit gay community. But his lifestyle was kept entirely hidden from the public. With the teen magazines still fresh in his memory, he fudged his way through interviews, like a sleazy 1995 Playgirl article that questioned how many women this "good-looking young buck" had slept with ("Over 10, fewer than 1,500.").

He was "outed" in 1996, when the Globe ran a photo of Allen kissing another guy in a hot tub. "A guy that I was with sold photos of us together." Ouch. Just 20 years old, Allen faced a major threat to his career. "The general response was 'If you come out, your career will be over. But if you want to, then you can.' Like that's a hell of a choice. But they were presenting options like 'We can get you a girlfriend!'" He chose to keep mum about the whole situation. "I didn't come out right away, and I'm glad I didn't then, because I wasn't ready to deal with talking about it publicly. It would have been a disaster."

Early on, one piece of advice that he took to heart was "Don't come out until it's good news." "Had I opened my mouth about it when I was 20, I would have been so easily convinced it was bad. I don't want anybody advocating civil rights that doesn't feel like it's good news about themselves." Six years passed after the Globe outing before he felt the climate was accepting enough for his official coming out, by appearing on the cover of the Advocate in 2002."

  11. Probing Gay Batman

Batman wasn’t always as butch as Christian Bale and others portray. Jokes about the hero’s relationship with Robin abound, but, as Tyrion Lannister notes, the gay rumors were once no laughing matter:

The accusation that Batman was a homo, as strange as it might sound to our own ears, was taken quite seriously by government and public alike. It wasn’t leveled by a marginal nut or crank, but by a world-renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Frederic Wertham.

Batman and Robin, Wertham charged, inhabited “a wish dream of two homosexuals living together.” They lived in “sumptuous quarters,” unencumbered by wives and girlfriends, with only an aged butler for company.

“Only someone ignorant of the fundamentals of psychiatry and psychopathology of sex can fail to realize the subtle atmosphere of homoeroticism which pervades the adventures,” wrote Wertham. “The Batman type of story may stimulate children to homosexual fantasies.”

Oh, please! Even straight Batman could inspire fantasies. Anyway, as you can guess, a concerted effort to make Batman more manly began - and thus the dark hero we know and lust today…

Right now i don't know who is in denial but saying jake is naive well it's really being in denial.
The kid perfectly know what he does!

The coments on ent lawyer are mixed, the "reese" question remain an issue , i guess she is a strong friend or a strong money lover because even for a big check i wouldn't take the risk to be humiliated if the "elephant" is found out.

  14. The comments on ent lawyer although mixed, do mainly come down to Jake being TT. Regarding the "reese" question, maybe I'm being naive but I think she probabaly didn't realise fully what she was getting into. Things don't always go as planned and the Gyllenspoon farce is one of them. Now she's in it, she has to carry on with it or look more ridiculous than she already does.

  16. The Reese question? Reese not knowing what she's getting into? Are you both serious?

The public perceptions that matter to TPTB aren't the opinions of bloggers. The magazines sell a love story (in photographs) to the mass of unaffiliated celeb fans and theirs are the only views that matter. People over-complicate all of this in looking for motive or applying character traits to the situation. The only motive is to pair Jake with a woman and to have Reese look accompanied by a man.

  17. Speaking of Batman did anyone sense an undercurrent of sexual tension between the Joker and Batman in the interrogation scene? Yowza, that was hot!

A year ago they looked a little more comfortable hand holding or with their arms around each other. Now it's looks even more awkward. Also, the public that Reeke is so concerned about isn't concerned about them. Their latest magazine cover is sitting on the selves and all the entertainment shows-Access Hollywood, etc-didn't mention their lovefest vacation pics or even mention them when they talk about Hollywood couples. Wonder at what point does Reeke decide they want to move on with their lives and stop living a lie.

  25. John Barrowman may be the next star in a long line of stars to bring a comic book superhero to the big screen. In addition to all the sex jokes made during the Torchwood panel at Comic-Con, the actor was apparently asked about playing Captain America. "He smiled and gave the stock answer that he'd love to play the character and that Captain America has always been his favorite comic book superhero," a fan reported.

Superherohype.com is reporting that the subject didn't seem to take Barrowman by surprise -- and that he admitted there have already been meetings with his agents about the film. Barrowman in spandex fighting to save America from whatever evil forces happen to be threatening our pursuit of life, liberty, and gas below $11 a gallon (which means he'll have to kick off his crime busting crusade in Washington D.C.)? Yes, please.

  28. Dark Bite

Christian Bale has always been pretty much close to crackers, and I’ve known this fact for some time. But let’s back up: As ya’ll know, Dark Knight hasn’t been the only thing making headlines; the man behind the utterly doable Batsuit has been, too. And as I’m a mucho big fan of Bale, even when he is fully clothed, I went back into my archives to dig up an interview from 2006 with C.B. to see if it could possibly shed some light on what to make of this ugly family squabble, which I’m told by sources close to the infighting clan, has merits on both sides. Though the reportedly near-extorting mom and sis to C.B. ultimately love, I'd say.

Still, whether it’s dropping myriad pounds for flicks like The Machinist or Rescue Dawn, it’s pretty damn obvs Christian gets into his characters big-time. Could his demonic roles, like that of a man who attaches jumper cables to women’s breasts in American Psycho, indeed have started to intertwine with his personal life? When asking C.B. about how he prepares for certain roles, par-tick the badass ones, C told me: “It’s just allowing that person to sit in your head, and you come up with ideas over time.” Well, letting folks as loony as these twisted outsiders, Batman included, rent space inside your noggin can’t be healthy for anyone.

Interestingly, Bale blabbed to moi that his mom, the one who’s accusing Bale (along with one of his sisters) of assault, “was crying with laughter” when she watched American Psycho. Fascinating, eh? Also, I find it pretty suspicious that Mama Bale’s supposedly shopping around mag-rags for cash to talk about the recent “assault,” while her son’s shattering box-office records. If she’s truly concerned about getting her side across then she'd do it for free. Supposedly, Mama Bale is jealous, said my Bale hangers-on, of her son and her late husband, Christian’s father. In the interview, when I asked about heroes and major influences in his life, Christian made a point to directly talk about his dad, nada mamacita. He said, “My biggest influences would have to be my father and my family. We moved around an awful lot, so I found you had to form a tight unit or you'd be incredibly lonely.”

Other than guffawing, rather inappropriately, at Psycho, no other mention of mommy was ever made. Indeed, this notion of being “lonely” had a habit of resurfacing during our interview. When talking about being an actor he said, “It is nomadic, and you have to get accustomed to some sort of isolation, which is often important in preparing for a role. But I've always been a bit of a loner.” Don't forget, C.B was devastated over fellow loner and BFF Heath Ledger’s premature death, secluding himself for weeks after. Now that the movie is finally released, it’s like opening an old wound. Apparently, like Heath, Bale lost a lot of sleep during the filming of Dark Knight, which could also be responsible for his recent outbursts.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t call up Ashley Olsen’s masseuse to help him unwind. More on this nasty sitch Monday.

Lance Armstrong Hints at a Run for Political Office

Between spearheading the cancer-education and fundraising Lance Armstrong Foundation and dating Kate Hudson, Lance Armstrong has his hands full.

But the cancer survivor and cyclist hinted Thursday night that he may be interested in expanding his empire to include something more: public service. "There might come a time when you feel like you've reached a wall and you need to step into public office and try to make change through that channel or those ends," Armstrong, 36, told reporters at the Foundation's Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio – which was attended by presumptive Republican Presidential candidate John McCain.

In an interview from the summit with CNN's Campbell Brown, Armstrong noted that both McCain and Democratic contender Barack Obama support cancer research. "Both candidates I believe care about this issue," said Armstrong. "Senator McCain is a cancer survivor himself. Senator Obama, I know, is committed after having lost his mother to this disease." At the summit, McCain told attendees, "Lance Armstrong is making all the difference in the world, and I'm honored to be in his company."

Still, Armstrong remained coy with reporters in one regard – which of the two politicians would make the better exercise partner. "I don't have an answer for you on who I would workout with," said Armstrong. "Probably best just to do a little triathlon. You know, we could hike one day with Senator McCain and play basketball one day with Senator Obama and then the other day they have to go ride with me, and then we’ll figure it out."

"Regarding the "reese" question, maybe I'm being naive but I think she probabaly didn't realise fully what she was getting into."

    Reese's motivations disturbe me.
Associated with jake , she knew from the start about all the gay rumours around him. the fact she risks to ruin her reputation is surprising , even for money or "to be seen with a pretty boy". It's not her style, she wants to control everything.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Can you imagine what this kind of sick person feels/thinks about Ryan, the one who dumped her and her Oscar:

    2006

    Reese is bitter

Reese Witherspoon wins best actress, and she can't think of anything better to do than harp on her ex-boyfriends. The actress, who is now married to heartthrob actor Ryan Philippe, said: "Every time I got dumped, I always fantasised that one day he would be sorry - and I would go on stage and tell him what I thought. "So for all the boys who ever dumped me, this is for you."

She's a rich and famous actress at the top of her career. She has two kids and super-hot husband, and she's still hung up on her exes! Reese, there are some things in life you just can't control so let go.

Men don't like women who try to run their lives, and most of the guys who dated you are probably grateful you moved on.

  36. Reese's PR team started Reeke in November 2006 - divorce was really bad PR news for her. "Left for another woman" was even worse - not an option for "every time I got dumped, I always fantasised that one day he would be sorry" Reese.

  37. Don't forget, C.B was devastated over fellow loner and BFF Heath Ledger’s premature death, secluding himself for weeks after.

Heath did attend Christian's Rescue Dawn premiere and sat across from him in the restaurant afterward. It was sweet. (I guess Jake might do that for RDJ.)

Bale is a real loner, so I think his developing friendship with Heath meant more to him than you might expect. They worked together on 2 movies and seem to have bonded as much as time would allow. Both are that rare commodity - good-looking guys who take risks as actors and are able to disappear into the characters they played.

Christian on Heath: “Personally, I find it to be a complete lack of understanding of acting,” Bale told Today's Matt Lauer [the theory that playing the Joker killed Heath]. “I also found it very rude to try to create some kind of a sound bite for such a tragedy. The man was a complex man, he’s a good man. I saw him as having nothing but the best time playing the Joker. He was somebody who immersed himself completely in his role — absolutely, as do I,” he added. “But at the end of the day, he was having a wonderful time making this movie.”

  38. There are no pictures. That is why Jake is cocky and Reese felt comfortable enough to do Reeke.

Maybe, but Hollywood PR games are not that simple and straightforward.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is as straightforward as it gets. Jake is gay. Jake is bearding because he wants fame and fortune. I don't think his talent will allow him to have a long career. The parts just won't be there. He said it. He is doing movies to make money.

  40. "So for all the boys who ever dumped me, this is for you."

    Perez Hilton's Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit

A woman from Ohio and her husband are suing online gossip Perez Hilton for a whopping $25 million. Why, you ask?

According to The Smoking Gun, the woman blames Perez for getting her fired. Her husband, Joel Wargo, obviously does, too, because his name is also on the lawsuit. The whole mess began when Diane sent Perez a rather angry email containing anti-gay slurs in response to an item he had posted about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spending Christmas in New Orleans with their kids.

Always one to share with the world, Perez posted Diane's email on his site along with her email address. Diane, who worked in a senior living center called Menorah Park at the time, fired off her email from her work address. Stupid! Her supervisors at the old folks home were not so thrilled with Diane when a public backlash and tons of negative publicity ensued, and Diane lost her job. In addition to getting fired, Diane claims that she received hundreds of threatening emails and phone calls in the wake of the incident.

Curious as to what Diane wrote to inspire such anger among PerezHilton.com readers? Short and not so sweet, the email Diane sent to Perez read:

Perez you are a FAT GAY PIG! Angelina is an ugly whore! You love her because she is a fag lover! Her brother is a gay little jerk just like your fat ugly ass! MANGELINA is a disgusting gross skank!

Hmm, I wonder if Diane has issues with gay people? What do you think of her email outburst? And while we're on the subject, do you think Perez, who usually goes after celebrities, went too far in exposing this ordinary citizen's rant to the public, or was Perez perfectly within his rights to post Diane's email along with her email address?

"Then someone pointed out that I can't hide. If I'm an actress and here's a project with an incredible director and actors, I have to do it."

Maggie, 30, also deliberately tried not to copy Katie's interpretation of Rachel from the previous movie 'Batman Begins'.

  80. A light that never goes out

'The Dark Knight' has been dogged with a run of shocking events -- but Maggie Gyllenhaal shines brightly on and off screen. By Nick Kelly

I've just walked out of The Dorchester after interviewing Maggie Gyllenhaal. I make my way past the assorted TV crews, hovering news reporters and expectant star-gazers gathered outside the posh Park Lane hotel in central London. On the street, a girl hands me a local free-sheet: 'Holy cow! Cops Quiz Batman!' screams the headline.

Initially, I think it's just part of the military-style publicity machine surrounding the promotion of Christopher Nolan's new film. Seconds earlier I'd been handed a goodie bag by the PR people, complete with Batman T-shirt, Batman CD soundtrack, Batman diary and Batman pen ... A mock Batman newspaper was almost to be expected. But eventually I realise the story is no tongue-in-cheek ruse: the caped crusader Christian Bale has been accused of assaulting his mother and sister in his suite at this very hotel two days earlier. It's a strange, surreal twist to the story of a film that already contains more than its fair share of shocking events. A stuntman, Conway Wickliffe, was killed during filming, while the death from an accidental prescription drugs overdose of Heath Ledger -- whose nihilistic, psychopathic Joker is essentially the main character in The Dark Knight, upstaging Bale's Batman every time he's on screen -- has ratcheted up the interest in this movie to fever pitch. So instead of it being just another summer blockbuster, there's a deep fascination, verging on the macabre, in seeing the ill-starred Australian actor's searing swansong.

The tricky part is: I know that Maggie Gyllenhaal has no desire to answer any questions about her late co-star. She practically ran out of the building during one recent interview when the subject was broached. But any discussion about The Dark Knight that omits any mention of Heath Ledger would be like staging Hamlet without the prince. So I decide to leave that sticky question till the end ...

When I enter her hotel suite, she is sitting with one leg up on the couch, and eyeing a strawberry on her plate of fruit salad longingly, before moving in for the kill with her fork. She is wearing a classy black dress, on which run a few arty vertical stripes of dark red and green, and a pair of black open-toed flat shoes that I hesitate to call sandals. But these are not the first things you notice -- the first things competing for your attention are those dreamy eyes and lips painted an even brighter red than that now departed strawberry. She looks every bit as beguiling in person as she did in the photos taken of her on the red carpet the night before, where she was the belle of the ball at the European premiere of The Dark Knight in Leicester Square.

In the film, the follow-up to Batman Begins, she plays Rachel Dawes, the crusading lawyer at the centre of a tug-of-love between Batman and Gotham's crusading District Attorney, Harvey Dent (played by Aaron Eckhart). "I tried to make the role as complex as possible," she says. "I tried to make her as full as I could. I wanted her to be a real woman with a mind, and to be as passionate about making the world a better place as the men around her."

The Dark Knight is Gyllenhaal's first superhero movie -- previous roles have included star turns as an S&M-loving office temp (Secretary) and a heroin-addicted single mother out on parole (SherryBaby). How did she find making her first big-budget film? "I realised how big a deal it was when we shot some stuff in Coddington (south London) where they had built Gotham inside of a Zeppelin hangar. When I went in there, I thought, "Wow!"

"The other thing that's different is that something shifted in me at some point. When I was younger I didn't care who saw my movies -- and now I do. I don't want to make movies for the 10 people who feel exactly the same way about the world as I do." A lot more than 10 people have seen The Dark Knight: it took a record-breaking $158m in the US on its opening weekend -- eight times more than its nearest rival. But if superstardom now awaits her, she is unlikely to let it go to her head.

For a start, she grew up inside the industry: her father is a director, her mother is a screenwriter, and her brother Jake has, of course, become a star himself since since he played opposite his sister in Donnie Darko. Secondly, the 30-year-old actress has a family of her own now to look after: she lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn, with her fiancé, the actor Peter Skarsgaard (a close friend of Jake's, as it happens) and their two-year-old daughter Ramona. So how difficult does Maggie find it balancing her family life with her career?

"I made this movie when my daughter was seven months old," she answers. "I wasn't looking to work when Chris (Nolan, the director) approached me. But it ended up being a great job for a new mom because I had lots of time off. I don't think I could have done a film where I was carrying the movie -- appearing in every second of it and totally absorbed in my complicated character." Like in SherryBaby? "Exactly. Only now, when my daughter is almost two, do I feel like I could walk back into something like that."

Would you like to play a mothering role now that you are one? "It's interesting how since I became a mother -- and a public mother, even though I've tried very hard to keep my family out of the press -- I've been offered so many more roles as a mother. I think something changes in you, certainly, once you birth a child, once you've been through that first year, which is exhausting and incredible, but really changes you. "When I made SherryBaby, I wasn't a mother. But I was playing someone who wasn't really a mother until the very end, so it kinda worked. I was playing a mother in World Trade Center -- and I think I probably would have been better if I'd actually had a kid. I didn't have one then."

I wonder does it help that her fiancé is also an actor? "Yes," she answers, "especially in terms of raising a child together. We both believe that parenting should be equal, although I have realised that there is something in me, in being a mom, where the baby's just gotta have you." Did she name her daughter after the Bob Dylan song, To Ramona? "You know, we didn't, but we both really like that song. In fact, that's one of my father's favourite songs. There were a lot of things that went into her name: I'm half-Jewish, and in the Jewish religion there is a tradition of naming a child after the first letter of a relative who's died."

There have been reports that, as her fame spirals, Maggie is getting increasingly plagued by the paparazzi. How bad is it? "It first started to get bad when I was pregnant," she says, "and they're just crazy for pregnant people. I do think of leaving the city altogether and going to live in the country. They're much better to me in the UK. They say, 'of course we won't shoot your daughter'. It's not that way in New York -- they'll tell you that ... and then shoot your daughter."

Next up for Gyllenhaal is a low-budget film called Crazy Heart alongside Jeff Bridges and Robert Duvall. But first we'll see her in a romantic comedy called Farlanders, starring Maya Rudolph and John Krasinki (Jim from the US version of The Office). It's scripted by New York literary scenester Dave Eggers and his wife. "I play a hippy mother who's still nursing her four-year-old and is super into 'attachment parenting'," laughs Maggie, "and everyone sleeps in one big bed, and they make love in front of their children ... It was so much fun to do."

The PR girl appears to tells me I have one last question ... Delicately, I bring the subject around to Heath, and his amazing performance. As she registers the question, her eyes visibly droop, and for the first time her natural perkiness leaves her. There is a pause. Clearly, she's already been asked this question 1,000 times. And I feel bad for being number 1,001. But at least she doesn't storm off out of the room ...

"Yeah. He was absolutely free, and really thrilling to work with. I knew he was great. But I didn't know he was SO great until I saw the movie. There's that one scene where's he upside down that I think is kind of blinding."

I mention the coincidence that both she and Jake worked opposite Heath in the two roles he'll probably be best remembered for (The Dark Knight and Brokeback Mountain). "You know, it's a pretty small community of people, you know, of our age, making movies," she says. "I don't think it's that unusual, I guess. It's unusual that both my brother and I do it. It's also funny that my brother and my fiancé have worked together a couple of times."

With that, my time is up. She's back to her old friendly self as we say goodbye. All that's left for me to do is to pick up my Batman diary, and Batman pen, and Batman T-shirt ...

  84. 6:25, that's true - I thought it was obvious and went without saying so I didn't add that to my post. Of course we all have a choice to be selfish and do nothing with our lives. I was responding to the poster who was saying it wasn't healthy to give your life over to something you believe in or want to do, whether it's art, music, medicine or changing laws to help people - you are absolutley right we have a choice to do that, or do nothing. You can either do something on a large scale, or simply help the kid next door. It's disappointing that you would defend doing nothing with your life and only caring about you and yours, because to me that is as bad as those who do harm - it's passive harm in my book, because it allows negativity to move ahead unfettered. It's a shame that the majority of people feel as you do, and we can see the results of it in the world.

George Michael talks about losing his partner to AIDS, the death of his mother, getting caught cruising in a bathroom in a park in Beverly Hills, and his drug arrests.

Said the singer: "I lost my partner to HIV then it took about three years to grieve; then after that I lost my mother. I felt almost like I was cursed. The only thing that got me through it was my music. It survived. I wrote very, very little, but the little I wrote did well and kept my head above water...It was depression and shock which just went on for years."

Why do you think it is that women love you so much? It's so obvious you're gay and always have been." I think silently of all the men who must have whispered slowly into the ears of their lady friends, "If you're gonna do it, do it right. Do it with me. Now listen... I'll be your boy, I'll be your man, I'll be the one that understands..." So I say to George: "Why do you think a lot a men dislike you so much?" He looks at me completely stony faced, 100 per cent dry. "Because they feel cheated." ... Now I realise why women adore George Michael so much. He simply has an incredible voice and the fact that he's gay makes him even more lovable.

The mega dick bag known as Shia LaDouche was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI this morning in Hollywood. This wasn't just your regular DUI either. This dumb douche could have killed someone.

According to TMZ, Shia made an illegal left turn in front of a car at the intersection of La Brea and Fountain. This caused the other car to hit Shia at which point his car rolled. Or as Brit Brit would say "roled." Apparently, Shia was clearly drunk at the scene. The victim and Shia were both taken to the hospital. Shia seriously injured his hand and will need surgery. Hopefully, he didn't fuck up his jack off hand. Actually, it doesn't matter. He's not going to need his jack off hand in jail.

Shia's passenger suffered a minor head injury. The victim is currently being treated for minor injuries as well. Right now, the police are deciding whether or not to book him on felony DUI or misdemeanor DUI. Either way, he should be charged with being a first class FUCKTARD. Shia was arrested last year for being a drunken mess at a Walgreen's in Chicago. So Shia getting a DUI isn't much of a surprise. The thing is, I am trying to like Shia, but he's letting the gene known as "doucheness" take over.

UPDATE: Shia is one lucky douche. TMZ reports that he won't be charged with felony DUI, but he will be charged with misdemeanor DUI. He's currently in surgery having his left hand fixed. His female passenger and the male victim had minor injuries including bruises and shit.

Also, you can be sure that when Jake does promos for Brothers, his handlers will give the press the list of items Jake will not discuss-questions about Reese was not allowed on the Rendition promo tour and it probably won't be allowed on Brothers promo tour. If Jake answers questions about Reese he'd be pinned down. This way, no questions, no way to pin him down.
7:19PM, how did you hear that Ted & Lisa thought Jake was gay? What led them to that assumption?

    ReplyDelete
  126. It seems to me that many of you are disappointed in Jake. What could he do to change your opinion of him?

Nothing. I was stupid enough to believe Jake before but that isn't his fault.

  127. I find it difficult to categorize fans who would spend that kind of money just to have lunch with Jake as objective. Obsessive is a more accurate term for them imo.

  128. Jake didn't bring up any thing personal, the only time anything personal was bought up was when T & L bought up Heath ad when T mentioneed ACLU and his mother's participation in it, that's it. And i'm sure they were given a list of things that were off limits , Heath wasn't because he had a "answer" for them: yes he wen't to the memorial service, and yes when asked if he was Matilda's godfather, that's it.

Why would anyone around him bring up Reese during a 1 hour lunch anyway? They had lunch with him in late April, a few days later Reese made a on set visit, I suppose she would have come up if they were there during or after the visit.

Jake's reaction to ACLU was flippant, after Ted suggesting that he was involved because of his mother, which he agreed and he said that's why he is into acting.

Isn't he able to form opinions on his own?

T&L took 2 months to write their report, i'm familiar with T through BBM fandom and he didn't come away thinking he was gay, he had no opinion one way or another.

My feelings, and they are mine is that they were initially disappointed in the set visit and spent that time writing a specutalive report to ease and make some fans happy. They may have doen a disservice

  130. No matter what my personal feelings, I wouldn't ever ask Jake personal questions about Reese, Heath, his sexuality, ever. If he chose to bring it up, maybe, but as a stranger I wouldn't ever. I'd keep it strictly related to his work and myself as a fan of his work, and consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to meet him. There's plenty to talk about, I'm sure. If he decided to be flippant or a little less than serious in some of his answers, that's his prerogative. He did sound nice, and someone who isn't always entirely serious with some of his answers, but that's to be expected. You can't expect him to react the way he would with someone he's known for years, a fan is still a stranger to him, no matter how nice they appear. He'd have some reserve, and be a bit defensive probably, and that is to be expected.

He doesn't need to do anything to change my opinion of him. I adore him, as I always have. Personally, if I felt any disappointment, I realize now that it wasn't because of him, what he did or didn't do, it was because of the tragic loss of Heath, and nothing that could be done about it, except to lash out. I can't speak for anyone else, if I appeared to be judgemental, it was unfair of me, and unreasonable to expect him to talk about something that for him may be a private matter. :)

  131. IMO Jake's "activism" stems from his parents, any thoughts/opinions he expressed were just echoing his parents. I also think he said/says things to please them or to make him look good. Not surprised that he didn't bring up ACLU during the lunch, what would he say about it? That it gave his mother an award 4 years ago? He never bothered to go further than say yes or no when talking about Heath leaving T&L to fill in the "gaps".

When talking about his upcoming projects he mentions the Namath bio, only because T bought it up even though at that time the whole set was buzzing about Pop because he told theNailed set he would be doing that next, T was surprised to hear he said yes to Pop after. Didn't bring up the Moon project either but he managed to mention another organization: J-Date: Jewish dating network.

Sorry, he came off as silly, and a bit of an airhead. Yes funny and kind and well mannered but he didn't add any thing interesting despite the spinning.

  132. Jake did not bring up Reese either. The woman he is madly in love with, spends every minute with and never stops thinking about. Or at least that is what babblers and rags claim. Of course it's really because he does not think much about her at all, unless ordered to his PR photoshoot. Dont get me wrong, I still like the guy. I think he bit off more than he can chew and is in so deep now he cant get out, even if he wants to.

It may not have been intentional, but somehow my opinion about him changed. I still wish him the best of luck for his career though, but a die hard fan I'm not anymore. As if he'd care. LOL.

  135. Topics are off limits, like all throughout the Rendition PR, do you think his PR would let 2 fans ask when they won't let the press? And don't say he was in a different setting, and relaxed or something therefore free to talk. I read the acount, and it came across like a regular interview to me, go back and look at his other interviews and compare, he was prepped and ready, he knew what was coming just like interviews with the press. Even though they weren't there to interview him it came off that way.

And you shouldn't believe what you read in the rags about Jake or any celebrity, you are too old for that nonsense. Thee was no new insights in that encounter, just another performance from Jake and 2 members of the BBM fandom padding a 1 hour lunch into a 9 part fic, embellished. Odd you keep bringing up the babblers, i have to admit i lurk there on occasion and they linked to the LJ, many already read it and loved the account the day it was posted, some also know Ted and Lisa

9:54: I don't think he cares, the fans hated Kiki even worse.

People, please take Ted and Lisa for what it is: a non-objective blog report about a publicity-driven lunch meeting. Written by amateur writers and hard-core fans. Until they release the tape transcripts -LOL- their report is only valid as their personal "impressions."

  137. I remember that every time I heard someone say something about Heath, like DDL, Christian Bale, Shekhar Kapur, Chris Nolan, etc. I felt so much better, and I had wished I would hear something from Jake, but I can't know how it affected him. He might have felt so emotional about Heath's death, he couldn't discuss it publicly and have it broadcast all over the world to the nth degree like it would have been. There's no way to know. :'(

  140. It reaffirms my usually shaky faith in human nature that people like Depp, Law, Farrell (and DDL, Bale, and others in statements) would support "druggie" Heath like this. Especially Depp & co, who actually gave time and effort. Respect.

And it truly saddens me that Jake is not, and will not be, part of this equation. You obsessed fans can excuse him all you want, but the fact remains that he let a colleague (I no longer say "friend") get trashed and never raised a hand to help.

So while I still enjoy following TT's escapades for the sheer silliness of it, it's not the same. Heath's death made parts of the story less than a farce, and I can't laugh about his tragic end. Jake could give a hundred "interviews" (snort) to nutty fans in which he answers leading questions about Heath as diplomatically as possible, and I still wouldn't see it as anything more than damage control.

To still enjoy Waiting for Toothy, I have to disconnect Jake "TT" Gyllenhaal from departed Heath. That's what Jake wants anyhow: no public connection. And in a way, he's right. The sad reality of Heath has no place in the hilarious closet case saga (ongoing) of Toothy Tile.

As for T&L they are fans, maybe they reported objectively, maybe they didn't but when you know that what comes out of Jake mouth is PR BS, does it really matter?

Terry Gilliam calls Johnny, Jude and Colin "totally heroic" for finishing Heath's film free

Director Terry Gilliam, now in post-production on THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS, Heath Ledger's final film, was interviewed recently at the Ischia Film Festival. Gilliam had high praise for Ledger, calling him "a genius." He also complimented the three actors--Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell--who stepped in to complete Ledger's role in PARNASSUS after his untimely death last January. The interview was done a few days ago. Included are rare pictures of Heath taken 3 days before is death.

TERRY GILLIAM: The great thing about it is that when Heath died, and we have a character that wasn't finished in the movie, those three actors [Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell] came along and saved the day. And so the character is now basically four actors creating one character. And that's . . . it's very interesting, and maybe even more interesting than it would have been with one actor going all the way through. I'm still not the best judge, because I have in my head what the film was going to be with Heath all the way through, and now there's a different film there. But all I know is, it's very funny.

Gilliam sounded proud of his film and genuinely awed by the generosity of the actors who came forward to save the picture and ensure its completion. Despite their high profiles, Depp, Law, and Farrell took no compensation for their work; instead, they donated their salaries to Heath Ledger's two-year-old daughter, Matilda:

TERRY GILLIAM: The three actors were totally heroic coming in. This doesn't happen very often . . . where there's a tragedy like this, and very famous, very successful actors suddenly say, "Okay, we'll do whatever it takes to help." They came; they did the work; they allowed the movie to be finished; they didn't take money--the money goes to Heath's daughter. That's extraordinary! And wonderful . . . and when you're part of that, you think, "Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies, in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people. And in our case, we've got a movie full of wonderful people, who did extraordinary things to help.

  160. Can't speak for anybody else, but I don't dislike Jake. I think it's more disappointment. I always thought Jake was an easy going, friendly, family oriented, loyal friend and slightly geeky (which made him even more adorable)guy. Ever since hooking up with Reese, he seems to have lost all these traits. It's like he's stopped socializing with everybody else, just Reese all the time. Don't know if Jake's gay, but his body language with Reese screams not lovers. I think he's bearding with her and it's sad that he feels he can't be himself-he has to pretend a relationship with a woman. I hold the hope that someday, he'll come clean about himself.

I think people really believe that Jake is Jack and just can't get past it. No wonder Jake doesn't care if he loses some of these fans. It's creepy in a way. No way he would ever share anything personal about himself with these people. The guy's an actor and his best act is being Mr. nice guy and the boy next door. That's one act he has down pat.

The *luncheon* sounds like just more obvious PR tactics. He 's lied so much , it's too hard to beleive anything Jake says anymore. Bearding in itself is a lie and he's living it. No one likes or trusts a liar.

Stop trying to insult our intelligence by making excuses for him. Everything's one big secret with this guy. Choosing to let his life become tabloid fodder, does he really expect fans or the general public to take him seriously as an actor?
He's so in love with Reese? Ive yet to hear him say it., attended a Heath memorial? I still doubt it., which one? yet I'm interested to know how this whole mess will play out. Mr. Jake "photo-op" Gyllenhaal. Walkin the walk, but not talkin the talk.

Ted C. sounds like he's daring Jakey with a threat with proof to back it up. I think Ted has pics or some hard evidence that "bud" is'nt what he appears to be. Something to hang over *phoneyspoon's* head that will blow this thing sky high.

Even if Ted had any proof I'm sure it would get the same treatment as the Travolta and the Kevin Spacey pics. It'd make some waves on a few blogs and forums and that’s it. Ted is too small to be a real threat to Reeke, that’s why Jake is not afraid of him and even uses him to keep his gay fanbase interested.

Look, there's no doubt in my mind that Jake's gay but you give Ted way too much credit, his TT BI aren’t what they used to be, he lost a lot of credibility. People don’t care much anymore about TT except us, OMG and the babblers.

Well, take out your guns and kill me, but I think they're a couple. People are saying him and Reese are faking it. Was Kirsten a "beard" too? For more than two years? It's been years of rumours and there's no evidence at all. Don't start me with Austin pictures.

But, whatever. I just want to point out that Jake's grown up. There comes a moment when being goofy, geeky and adorable is just not enough anymore.I know, I'm a couple of days younger than him. Eventually, you start thinking about family, kids, settling down, responsibilities. It's a natural process. It's not Reese's fault. It's Jake. Although I am concerned a little that there have been no pistures of him with friends and family for a really long time. He used to hang out with a lot of people. But I think it's been his choice. I can't imagine everyone turning away from him for some reason. I also can't imagine Reese wanting him to end all his relationships with other people. It's ridiculous. Why? I think he's been going through "I'm madly in love, I need only you" phase and it's going to end soon. But if children come along he'll be busy again.

Lisa and Ted's encounter, however very nice, wasn't the type of encounter I would have enjoyed with Jake. They basically bought his time. He also had every right not to be completely honest with them, because they were complete strangers. Do you bare your soul to the people you met 30 minutes ago? His sexuality, his relationship with Heath (which some people totally mistaken for Jack and Ennis relationship), his choices in life- how can anyone find the answers to these questions in an hour? These are deeply intimate things. Of course, he was nice, being nice is his job. He's paid for being nice and flashing professional smiles. He's mastered this to perfection.

To sum up: I hate that everyone claims to have taken a look right into his soul. The ongoing war between Reese-haters and Reese-lovers (believe me, I don't read Gyllenbabble),the arguments, the whole "his reaction after Heath's death" debate- and no one knows the truth. We just can't.

This so-called *romance* has been going on for some time now. Reese has givin interviews in Marie Claire, and other cover stories in mags and not mentioned Jake at all. This is so weird. If they're as hot and heavy as these people profess them to be, then what's with the being hesitant about speaking about their *romance*? Why allow someone else to tell your story? If they want to be believed as a "couple" for real then Reese or Jake themselves have to set the record straight. As it looks now, he seems clingy, dependent and wimpy. She seems controlling and insecure.following him from movie set to movie set etc.. Their *committment* seems fake and orchestrated and both are showing wear and tear.. On the other hand, Jake is channeling Tom Cruise by being involved in the most incredibly blatant SET-UP PR photo ops to show his True Love. Rome and Paris have even the pap agencies themselves laughing.

    It's all so funny!

  187. Brothers is a family drama (serious, mature), Nailed sounds like a crazy political comedy, PoP is a CGI action-adventure.

Very different movies and roles, it will be interesting to see how good Jake's going to be.

In all 3 of them, he will play a sincere, conflicted, good-looking young man with a semi-dark side.

It's a role he knows very well.

  188. Ted&Lisa are slash fantasists. 'Nuff said.

Huh? Sorry, you are not making any sense.

  189. Ted writes "Brokeback Mountain Fanfic."

    What is not clear?

  190. Ted writes "Brokeback Mountain Fanfic."

    Exactly.

That is easy to understand reason why Ted "asked about Heath and not about Reese".

  191. Their time with Jake was precious, no reason to waste it on Reese.

  192. From first encounter, Ted strangely puts on a false voice. . .

He lost me at "hello" . . .

"Ted walked one step towards him and said, “Hello, Jake,” in a rather put on deep, relaxed voice and Jake responded, “Hello, Ted,” and then the normal greetings ensued. . . "

  193. "Jake Gyllenhaal starring as serial killer Earl in "Massacre"."

Jake will play a sincere, conflicted, good-looking young man with a semi-dark side.

  194. I think they could change writing modes to more factual reporting without too much trouble, they must made it into something more readable. I think I'd be lost at hello too. I'd plan the questions I would ask, write them down, just in case I got nervous and my mind went blank, which would be entirely possible! I'm sure Jake would be careful with what was asked of him, that would be natural, doesn't make him insincere. I wouldn't ask him personal questions, unless he brought them up himself, and would check with him if I planned to publish his responses on a LJ. What's wrong with that?

  195. Well you had me from "Hello"
I felt love start to grow
The moment that I looked into your eyes, you won me
It was over from the start
    You completely stole my heart
And now you won't let go
I never even had a chance you know
    You had me from "Hello"

  196. What's wrong with that?

    Nothing.

There is nothing wrong with Ted and Lisa, there is nothing wrong with their report.

  197. "Never heard of "Prince of Persia" video game."

The one Jake is filming is called The Sands of Time and it's the older version. But still, I love it.
