  17. I want to share with you some joyful news. On Monday, I became a father. This is Wyatt Cooper. He is three days old. He is named after my father, who died when I was ten. I hope I can be as good a dad as he was. My son's middle name is Morgan. It's a family name on my mom's side. I know my mom and dad liked the name morgan because I recently found a list they made 52 years ago when they were trying to think of names for me. Wyatt Morgan Cooper. My son. He was 7.2 lbs at birth, and he is sweet, and soft, and healthy and I am beyond happy. ...

  18. Though it may not come as a surprise to many, we have been forced to postpone Sunday in The Park with George at the Savoy this summer. London is like a second home to me and I was so excited to be spending the season in that beautiful city finally bringing our production to the West End. But, in accordance with science, we’re going to have to wait.

We will find another Sunday to bring our Sunday to you before too long. Thank you to everyone who already bought tickets (all that will be handled, not to worry) and I hope to see you all in the theater when this moment has passed. Until then, please stay safe and don’t worry: the beard will be back. Bigger and burlier than Broadway.

STOP DEFENDING JAKE GYLLENHAAL HE LITERALLY JUST SAID HE’S PRO C*P. HE SAID SOMETHING WRONG AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

He didn’t say he was pro cop, he shared a collage of cops showing sympathy, acting human, DOING WHAT THEY SHOULD. In an ideal world that would be the norm all the time. I’ve seen a lot of people sharing videos of cops joining protests or showing empathy and everybody 1/2

And everybody seems to eat it up and praise, yes even black people. I’m ACAB, but I WISH cops would all show sympathy and be good people and do their job right, I want more of that. Hope he’s doing more besides posting tho, he’s always such an advocate

  57. Thriller magnet Jake Gyllenhaal, so good in darker films like Nightcrawler and Prisoners, is set to star in and produce the thriller Snow Blind, based on the graphic novel of the same name.

Director Gustav Möller (The Guilty) will make his English-language debut with the film, which reteams him with Gyllenhaal, who is also attached to star in the American remake of The Guilty.

Patrick Ness, the author of Chaos Walking and A Monster Calls, will write the script. Created by Ollie Masters and Tyler Jenkins, the graphic novel follows a boy who discovers that his family is in the witness protection program. It’s described as a cross between Prisoners and the 1988 Sidney Lumet drama Running on Empty, which starred River Phoenix as a young man whose parents are fugitives.

Gyllenhaal will produce alongside his Nine Stories partner Riva Marker, as well as Ross Richie, Stephen Christy and Adam Yoelin of BOOM! Studios. Gyllenhaal and Möller recorded a video pitch for Snow Blind and granted interested parties follow-up meetings on Zoom. Multiple studios and streamers have already submitted bids on the project, so expect a distributor to come aboard soon.

Deadline broke the news about Snow Blind, and while it’s unclear whether it will be Gyllenhaal’s next project in front of the camera, the only other starring vehicle he’s developing that seems greenlight-ready is The Division, which will pair him with Jessica Chastain under the direction of David Leitch. Gyllenhaal is also a producer on the true crime movie Gilded Rage, and you can click here for more on that project.

  58. "What happens when you discover your parents aren’t the people you thought they were? For high school student Teddy, life in a sleepy suburb in Alaska turns upside down when he innocently posts a photo of his dad online, only to learn he and his family are in the Witness Protection Program. A man seeking revenge invades their town, followed soon after by pursuing FBI agents . . . but what if his dad’s reasons for going into the program aren’t as innocent as he says?"

If the film is staying true to the comic, I’m assuming Gyllenhaal is playing the father. Unless he’s playing the high school student, which would be both weird and hilarious. I also want to point out that this premise – a man in a small town who turns out to have a criminal past is discovered and then bad people come calling – is very similar to another graphic novel adaptation, David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Gyllenhaal has a busy slate of projects ahead of him. In addition to “Snow Blind,” he’s attached to star in the action-thriller, “The Division,” as well as “Rio” and the TV series, “Lake Success” for HBO. He’s also supposedly starring in a film titled “Helicopter Heist” from the directors of “Free Solo.” IN addition, Gyllenhaal’s production company has a number of projects, including the adaptation of “Fun Home.” Busy guy, right?

1D fans are wondering out loud why they are not hearing from their faves even tho someone like Louis Tomlinson has had a new album out. But yet he doesn’t get the promo for his work like the other members. Many are blaming the wrong party. Look in @sonymusic‘s direction

    ToothyTile&GGoose @GoosesTile · 5h
Louis is getting punished, it’s clear as day when you look at Sony’s history w/ how they have punished and destroyed the images of those who challenge with too much influence, success or power. It’s about control.

    ToothyTile&GGoose @GoosesTile · 5h
Freedom cannot come soon enough for 1D. Father’s Day yesterday was a cruel joke for three band members who have been choked by the albatross of fake baby narratives. How many intern accounts were used to pummel those guys w/ reminders of that which is false?

    ToothyTile&GGoose @GoosesTile · 5h
But that’s how Sony works. Just look at how they destroyed Michael Jackson. They’re trying to do the same to One Direction before their hold comes to an end. Whenever in the hell that is.
