So I still do not think that was Jake in the Greece video, I know it has been said that the girl in the play photograph is that Belgium model and that may well be. I know Mowat follows her but he does follow a lot of random accounts, even crazy Jake fans he will follow them. I do not think he is very social media savvy. I also noticed the sweatshirt she is wearing that is Nike and Jake was wearing one just like it but it is either he does know her and she borrowed the sweatshirt or Nike in a crazy attempt to make money made more than one of those and she has one too. But what tells me it isn’t Jake in Greece when she is are the dates. Now I asked @jakeovereverything about where Jake has been because that is really the only Jake account that tries to put dates and locations of the posts. I didn’t say what it was for but I asked where he’s been and on 8-5 when she posts that she is in Greece Jake is definitely in London. That video was actually taken on 8-11 and Jake was in London that morning, Jake was also on set of Spider-Man on 8-15. I am not saying he doesn’t know her, that could be her at the play but I am saying he wasn’t in Greece with her because the dates do not match. There are pictures and sightings of him in London while she is there. I did see on her page that at least two of her friends also made insta stories of being in Greece at that same time. I would also like to say that any Jake fans should not post comments to her because then she will make her account private and no one will be able to confirm anything in the future. Be smart people!
Not 100% sure if Jake was or wasn't in that Greece video but there is no reason to assume that Jake was on romantic vacation with some woman, during filming an important movie, just because Jake walked next to her. Jake spending a few days in Greece with UK friends is more likely - if he was in Greece.
There are tons of comments on Instagram about Greta Caruso being Jake's girlfriend. Nothing can stop fans from wanting or presuming that Jake has a girlfriend, even when it's clear that woman is just a friend.

Exactly a year ago this week, like this week, I was prepping for TIFF, screening films every day. I love this annual tradition, it’s one of the best bonuses of the job – as everything slows down before the Labour Day long weekend, to get away from the heat in an air conditioned theatre and watch movies back to back to back. In 2017, one of the first films I saw during this time was Stronger, starring Tatiana Maslany and Jake Gyllenhaal as Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman. As usual where Jake is concerned, it was an outstanding performance and he promoted the film enthusiastically through the fall, primarily committed to raising awareness for Jeff’s story and also, secondarily, for a possible Best Actor nomination, as he was on the long list for consideration. (That didn’t happen but one day, for sure one day. He’s simply too good.)
Since then, though, it’s been pretty quiet. Back in May, Sarah posted the news that Jake was in talks to take on the role of the villain in the new (new, new) Spider-Man sequel as Mysterio. At the time, “talks” is all that was reported. I don’t remember there being any follow-up that it was locked or an official confirmation that Mysterio is indeed what Jake is playing. But Spider-Man: Far From Home has been in production in London all summer. And Jake has been in London all summer. So…he’s in it. They just not ready to tell us any more than we need to know. We’ll have to wait a while still before we see Jake in character with a fish bowl on his head. As Sarah told us, that’s Mysterio - some goofy dude who walks around with a fish bowl on his head. Does he wear a cape too? Because when there’s already a fish bowl… why limit the ridiculousness, you know?
What’s Jake been up to when he’s not shooting with a fish bowl on his head? As always, he keeps a lowwww profile. There have been some sightings of him in London though. Apparently he had dinner with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of, among other things, the acclaimed series Fleabag and Killing Eve (for which Sandra Oh has been nominated for an Emmy).
I can’t say for sure that it’s her but if it is, well, this is exciting – for Jake. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is just getting started. That’s potentially an excellent collaboration, whether it’s personal or professional.
But, as a reader called Sally (thanks Sally!) just pointed out to me this morning, Jake’s fans have been buzzing online about him spending time with someone else too. Here’s a page from Heat Magazine showing Jake at the Young Vic sitting beside an attractive woman.
Is it the same woman he was seen with in Greece a couple of weeks ago, as posted here on Instagram by another tourist?
He’s walking here like he’s had a fish bowl on his head for the last couple of months. That’s basically all the confirmation I need that he is, indeed, Mysterio.
Next: Jake stars in The Sisters Brothers and Wildlife, both of which are scheduled to be on the festival circuit at Venice and Toronto. So he’s heading back to work soon. We should be seeing him on carpets and at press junkets soon. Good. I miss him. You?

Jeanne is definitely the same girl he was with at the young vic. She has the same blue bag if you look at the photos of her lying in the boat saying 'caught ya'. It's the same bag the girl is carrying where they are standing on the street. There's too many coincidences now for it not to be her.

The Sisters Brothers is one of those movies that you finish watching, and your first reaction is “huh.” Now, in print, “huh,” can be read a few ways but is usually read as “huh?,” with a question mark. Like, “I don’t get that at all.” That’s not what I mean. This is more the realization form of “huh.” Like, the one you say while nodding a few times. The one you use when you just learned something new that makes sense. After The Sisters Brothers, that’s how I felt. Like I just learned something new about an entire movie genre.
After a movie screening, people often ask, “What did you think?” I usually try to make something up that sounds halfway smart, but the truth is I usually never know until a bit later. Movies are weird in that once we see them, we kind of live with them our whole lives. And our relationship changes with them as time goes on. It’s like meeting a human being, then being asked after knowing that human for two hours, “So, what do you think?” But this time I said, “I think this is a movie I will like more tomorrow, then even more the day after that.”
You see, The Sisters Brothers (based on the novel by Patrick deWitt) isn’t the slam-bam, kind of hilarious looking Western that the marketing might lead one to believe. The Sisters Brothers is a much more introspective movie than it leads on to be, but isn’t that surprising when you factor in that it’s directed by Jacques Audiard, making his first film in English.
John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix play Eli and Charlie Sisters – two Old West hitmen who are hired by their boss, the Commodore, to find a man named Hermann Kermit Warm (Riz Ahmed), a chemist who has developed an advanced technique for finding gold.
Set in the Pacific Northwest, the first thing you will notice about The Sisters Brothers is that every gunshot is incredibly loud – just this booming noise that almost knocks you back with each round that contrasts sharply with the cinematography of the sweeping landscapes. John C. Reilly’s Eli is the more level-headed of the two brothers and this is more his movie than anyone’s – as he travels further west with his brother, Charlie, who is volatile, erratic, often drunk and, even more often, getting the two in trouble.
The brothers are actually chasing two men, the aforementioned Hermann, but also Jake Gyllenhaal’s John Morris. Gyllenhaal plays John Morris – a more refined, mysterious version of the Sisters Brothers – with a delicate voice that I wish he’d use to record audiobooks. John Morris had found Hermann and captured him, but decides Hermann’s plan for finding gold is just too good to pass up, so that pair heads to California with the Sisters Brothers on their tail.
There are times The Sisters Brothers feels like a really introspective version of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Here are all these marauders – a motley cast of characters – all in a chase for the prospect of finding precious treasure. And there are times when the movie really is funny, but these moments don’t come quite as often as you might think they do. The brothers aren’t quite as “zany” as the trailer might leave you to believe.
But the heart of the story are the brothers. Their relationship is complicated by the fact their old man abused them – which damaged Charlie the worst. They talk a lot, mostly about why they do what they do and if they even want to do it anymore. At one point they consider betraying the Commodore and Eli takes us through what the rest of their life will be like, constantly being wanted men, before they’d eventually have to kill the Commodore, then taking over for the Commodore. And not to mention just having to spread the word around about the legacy of the Sisters Brothers and what it even means to be a couple of gunslingers who are good at killing people. It all sounds so tiring to be a Sisters Brother. The Sisters Brothers doesn’t have the same vibe as, say, Unforgiven, but it has the same quality of making us look at things from a different perspective.
Joaquin Phoenix plays Charlie with that usual Phoenix flair that just makes a person anxious to watch – in that this guy can go from nice to deadly in a heartbeat. Which is to say it’s a performance we expect from Phoenix at this point. But it’s John C. Reilly’s Eli who becomes the heart and soul of this movie and reminds us of what a great dramatic actor Reilly is now that he’s best known for comedies. (It’s strange that Reilly is now best known for comedies when of Reilly’s first 26 film roles, only one, a small part in the Sean Penn film We’re No Angels, would be considered a full comedy. The first time we saw Reilly in a true comedic role was a cameo in the Adam Sandler movie, Anger Management. Then in 2006 after Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby, Reilly’s whole career changed. It’s kind of remarkable.) But, here, we are reminded, if not blatantly informed that, yes, John C. Reilly can carry a (mostly) drama.
And my prediction came true. As every day has gone by since I’ve seen The Sisters Brothers I think about it more and more. The Western can still have a place in contemporary cinema; it just looks a little different. We just learn new things about it. It makes us nod our head and say, “huh.”

THE SISTERS BROTHERS is proof that Jake Gyllenhaal and Riz Ahmed, reunited from NIGHTCRAWLER, need to make tons of movies together. Jake is the head, Riz is the heart, and when they share scenes, they're never better.

jake gyllenhaal has a big career and his filmography it's so good like truly masterpiece (except for prince of persia) but i feel he didn't get the recognised he deserves and i am so SO pissed about it.
