This is the first time that the 38-year-old actor has walked a red carpet with Hassie!

More than just being a compelling performer, The Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln clearly had a heavy emotional impact on many of his co-stars, including Andrew Nichols. The actor debuted in the fifth season of the series and, while he might not have been featured as regularly on the show as other performers, still had some touching thoughts about the time he shared with Lincoln. Following the confirmation that Lincoln would be leaving the show in the upcoming season, Nichols took to Twitter to share a lengthy message to his former co-star.
Nichols' character Spencer might not have always seen eye-to-eye with Lincoln's Rick, yet the behind-the-scenes anecdotes and experiences of the actor's letter prove how powerful a bond the performers shared. “My humble time in Alexandria spanned just two years, but in that time I found a hero. Andy became the example that I have since tried to model myself after. As a man. As an actor. As a friend. And hopefully someday soon, as a husband and father,” Nichols wrote.
Lincoln was the main cast member of the series from the first episode, yet Nichols noted how the actor's integral role in the drama never impacted how he treated others.
“From Andy, I saw selflessness. I saw grace. I saw kindness. I saw a man lift his fellow actors up when they were struggling. I saw him give other actors the spotlight when he could have easily kept it for himself," Nichols recalled. "It can be 105 degrees in Atlanta and wet and slimy with humidity. Andy is often covered in blood and mud and zombie guts. He is often asked to perform heavy heavy emotion. This is a world where the stakes are always life and death. And I never once saw Andy lose sight of those stakes. And if anyone else ever briefly got distracted, Andy was always over there crouching in the grass, reminding us what was important.”
One of the major reasons for Lincoln leaving the show is that, after playing the character for nearly a decade, he hopes to spend more time with his family, a decision which Nichols encouraged.
“Well Andy, I want your kids to know that they have the most impressive man for a father," Nichols praised. "They will grow up to be strong, compassionate, loyal, upstanding humans just like their dad. And they will be proud to know that their dad gave us Rick Grimes.”

We’ve always loved Jake Gyllenhaal, for obvious reasons. I mean just examine Exhibit A below. This darkly handsome gent has been making some of our favorite movies for over two decades now. They haven’t all been winners, but the audience always wins when Jake is involved.
As he’s matured he’s started taking on much darker roles. Donnie Darko kind of started the trend back in ’01, but lately it’s been more and more frequent. So we decided to check up on some of these movies to see just how good this dude is at brooding in a shower. Turns out…he’s pretty great at it! We checked out Enemy, about a man who discovers another version (a doppleganger) of himself; Prisoners, in which he plays a detective trying to find two kidnapped girls; and Zodiac, where he plays a cartoonist wrapped up in the investigation of the Zodiac killer.
The first two are directed by Denis Villeneuve, who you’ll know more recently as the director of Arrival and Blade Runner 2049, and Zodiac was made by the incomparable David Fincher. Each movie is great in their own way, and Jake shines in each role without them all feeling the same. We joked earlier about his handsomeness, but his talent really can’t be overstated.
So buckle up, take some happy pills, and get ready for a dark dive into the world of Jake Gyllenhaal in this episode of So… I’m Watching This Show!

Jake Gyllenhaal is preparing to make his MCU debut. The A-list actor has been spotted in London where he will begin filming for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
An Instagram user came across the image of Gyllenhaal in London where filming for the next Spider-Man film is currently taking place. The veteran actor is taking on the role of Mysterio, who will be the main antagonist of the film. Check out the image below:
If you’re unfamiliar with Mysterio, in most iterations of the character he is a failed magician or effects man. His failures lead him down a path of crime which causes frequent run-ins with one Spider-Man.
Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as the Vulture, meaning Peter Parker is going to have his hands full with a familiar face as he travels across Europe. Homeland actor Numan Acar has also signed onto the film as another Marvel villain, The Chameleon. These two, along with Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, will likely pave the way for an MCU version of the Sinister Six.
Peter won’t be without help on his adventure, however. Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders are rumored to appear in the film, reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill. Their involvement could mean that SHIELD has a presence in the cinematic universe post-Avengers 4.

He's been hotly-tipped to play the role of Marvel villain Mysterio in the new Spider-Man sequel for several months. And Jake Gyllenhaal fuelled the feverish speculation that he has joined the Spider-Man: Far From Home cast when he was spotted in London where the flick is being filmed.
The 37-year-old Oscar-nominated actor cut a casual figure in a simple T-shirt and chinos as he stepped out for a solo shopping trip in the British capital on Tuesday (July 31). The Donnie Darko actor completed his relaxed outfit with a pair of adidas Stan Smith trainers and shielded his eyes behind some round-eye shades.
Jake was 'in talks' with Marvel bosses to star in the new film in May, according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige told ComicBook.com that the actor hasn't officially been cast, casting doubt over his role in the film. The character of Mysterio, aka Quentin Beck, was introduced into the comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1964. He is a special effects expert who uses his talents to create elaborate illusions to commit crime and to fight Spider-Man.
Tom Holland, 21, stars as Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe. The young Brit is the third Spider-man in the rebooted film franchise. Meanwhile, busy Jake has three movies in various states of production this year and six lined up for 2019.

Originally announced as a movie re-teaming, post “Southpaw,” Antoine Fuqua and Jake Gyllenhaal’s “The Man Who Made It Snow” is now set up at Epix as a limited TV series, Fuqua said Saturday at Locarno Festival, where he will present Denzel Washington-starrer “The Equalizer 2” at the 8,000 seat Piazza Grande, one of the biggest open-air cinemas in Europe.
Inspired by the true story of Max Mermelstein, a Jewish hotel engineer who becomes embroiled unwittingly and then unwillingly in the building billion-dollar U.S. drug trade of Pablo Escobar’s Medellin Cartel, “The Man Who Made It Snow” was originally written by Michael Kingston and Brett Tabor. A new screenwriter is now being brought in to transform the movie into a drama series. Gyllenhaal may or may not be involved, according to his schedule, said Fuqua.
Fuqua will produce “The Man” and maybe direct the first and last episode. The now-series forms part of a building slate of film and TV work which makes him not only one of the most prominent, but also busiest black film and TV directors in Hollywood.
