It was the final confirmation that Austin wasn't gay and that J/A = slash fiction.
“Deadpool 2” director David Leitch has set his sights on his next project, signing on to helm Ubisoft’s “The Division” movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain.
The news comes just months after it was announced that he’s also on board to direct the “Fast and Furious” spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Sources stress that the Universal spinoff will shoot first, as that film is already set to go into production this fall, and the hope is that Leitch would move on to prep “The Division” some time in 2019.
“Gold” director Stephen Gaghan was previously attached to helm the video game adaptation, but has since left the project.
Leitch’s producing partner, Kelly McCormick, will produce along with Leitch through their 8711 banner, as well as Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker of Nine Stories and Chastain and Kelly Carmichael of Freckle Films alongside Ubisoft Motion Pictures.

Jake Gyllenhaal and James McAvoy look like the protagonists in the only "man realizes he's gay late in life and sleeps with his new neighbor who turns out to be a psychopath" film I ever want to see, tbh.
Serving mid-tier banking executive who spends his weekends on a recently renovated farm in Connecticut and whose wife has recently moved out of their split-level not because she suspects he's gay but because she wants some space to decide what she wants in life.
And James is out here giving us early morning jogs on the cold asphalt and black coffee. Rough trade with a soft spot, but then, 1/3 into the movie, he reveals he's ex-CIA and has a lot of fucked up trauma, which results in a bit of sexy choking that almost goes horribly wrong.
I imagine there's lots of brooding. Lots of pondering the nature of bourgeois life. Lots of swimming pools. Lots of staring out of windows as Jake grapples with both the material concerns of comfort and how one goes about living a good life. Also, chokey hot neighbor.
And James McAvoy just serving a series of beautiful lewks in his ridiculously beautiful home. As their sex games grow more aggressive and the line between what is the game and real danger grows finer and finer.
We can call it something ridiculous like Object Lesson.
In my head, Jake is married to Mia Wasikowska, and she's living on the other side of town enjoying an array of accent colored sweaters on pale, cool spring mornings. She studied geothermal engineering at Yale, and she's wondering how she ended up an afterthought in her own life.
Anyway, she shops at a used book store in town and begins and extended, charged interaction with owner's granddaughter who is fresh in town to dry out and sober up after going on a grief-fueled bender following the death of her mother from illness.
Tbh, they don't so much fall in love as come up for air together. Neither of them dies or has to explain to anyone why they're doing what they're doing, and they get to make out, talk about books and rocks, and Tessa gets to make fun of Mia for dressing like a nun on vacation.

Wildlife is powerful. Paul Dano makes one of the more fully formed directorial debuts by an actor in some time. His script with @zoeinthecities is a piece of mood art. A career best turn by Carey Mulligan and reliably good work from Jake Gyllenhaal makes for one of 2018’s best.

Take for instance this latest round. Neither Jake nor Austin had bearded since last July (2017). That was when Austin gave ol' Chlo her be-gone papers. The PR/social media team floated "hints" that he was with some unknown celebrity, but Austin didn't even bother taking a picture with her.
But come birthday time? The Dollar Tree Beard is being given a bit of air time. Textbook circa 2000 bearding. I'm not mentioning her name because her expiration date is likely near due already, that's how low key the whole thing is.
