Going Down the Rabbit Hole (Once Again) with Jake Gyllenhaal
Imagine the surprise of many Jake Gyllenhaal fans when news broke on Thursday, October 5 that he was joining up with Calvin Klein for their Eternity fragrance line [see previous post: Love, Family, Intimacy for Jake Gyllenhaal - That Sounds About Right ].
But now upon further perusing, noseying, and poking around as we at Narnia are prone to do, it's amazing what comes up. So let's get right to it because there are signs there very well could be a bit more catch to this "cologne" campaign than a mere stray dryer sheet between Jake and his Calvin Klein's.

Not only that - but look at the title of Bossip's story. Is that a type-o or a sexually charged subliminal message, "Is Jake Gyllenhaal Getting It In With..." instead of "getting it on"? " Can you do the math?
When you factor in that the new ETERNITY campaign is designed to focus on romance, love, intimacy and commitment, there is certainly more than just suggestive subtext being communicated here. Never mind the personal touch of Jake's admission that he personally collaborated on this project.
• And then to wrap this up, let's take another look at what now turns out to be a suspiciously cryptic "comment" made on Oct 5 by a blogger named "Diana", which I had posted on Narnia on Thursday morning not even realizing just how foreshadowing everything was:

Going off the performances we’ve seen, it looks like Gary Oldman (The Darkest Hour) could finally win that overdue Oscar. Surprisingly, his only nomination came in 2012 in Best Actor for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy — he lost to Jean Dujardin (The Artist). And he has a lot going for him. He’s playing a real-life, high profile person — Winston Churchill — who is British — the Oscars love movies about British royalty and government — Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, and Colin Firth are recent examples. It’s also set during World War II, which the Oscars have historically liked. However, there are two issues that he may have. First of all, voters might think he already won and second, voters might not see him as overdue. We just have to see how the campaign is shaped.
However, one actor who is certainly going to get an “overdue” campaign is Jake Gyllenhaal (Stronger). Like Oldman, he has only received one nomination for Brokeback Mountain. However, he came thisclose to a nomination in Best Actor for Nightcrawler. Gyllenhaal certainly has the industry behind him to win an Oscar. Plus, if early reviews of his film and performance are any indication, then he also has the role to back a campaign. Often, actors at this point in their career get that lifetime achievement Oscar for a one of nomination — their nomination is the film’s only nom. Think Julianne Moore winning for Still Alice. I can see him taking the same path.

The Calvin Klein campaign should be starting soon - supposed to start in October and we'll see what the first looks like. As I watched all the robot tweet headlines, I have no doubt there were a couple of goals, #1 to keep emphasizing how Jake is posing as a dad and he's not a dad yet, but just imagine how he would look if he WERE a dad and #2, no doubt he and Austin can use all the income they can get.
It's not just all the kids. It's their lifestyle. I think these guys are traveling a lot, they stay overseas now a lot or else up in Canada as well. Not sure what they do - timeshares, rentals, whatever, but all this traveling costs a lot of money. Home schooling. And as all these kids continue to grow, the clothes, the cars each one is going to need, the insurance, holy toledo.
They eat at the finest restaurants, stay at the nicest resorts/hotels (not all can be company paid, surely), I mean....I don't know what it's like because I'm just an admin, but I am familiar with financial planning & whatnot. I can't imagine having to keep up the kind of income they must need.

As the sun set over the Hudson River, hundreds of guests took their seats within New York City’s Pier 60 to hear stories of triumph from veterans who’ve benefitted from the services of the Headstrong Project. Much rests on the night, as its silent auction and Kenny Polcari–led fund-a-need raises about half the organization’s yearly resources and provides cost-free (and stigma-free) mental health coverage for veterans. After Tony Award–winner Ruthie Ann Miles sang the national anthem and master of ceremonies Seth Meyers took the stage, few in attendance could have predicted just how powerful the evening would be.
Zach Iscol, cofounder and executive director of Headstrong (and also a veteran) brought sheer passion to his speech. “There’s something remarkable about the veterans we treat,” he explained. “When most people go through counseling, rehab, or mental health treatment, they want to get on with their lives and forget about it. The folks we treat are the exact opposite. As soon as they are better, they want to tell everyone about their experience because it can help others. It’s another act of service. It takes courage.”
Iscol, who developed Headstrong’s unique top-tier private network of clinicians, noted that the night was about stories. Not only would they address mental health, they’d also make clear that treatment works. This is what brought Meyers onboard. “The first year I did it was due to the personal connection—knowing Zach,” he said. “To be here once and hear vets tell their stories about how much this means to them, that signed me on for any year following that they’d have me. Storytelling is the best way to explain any issue. This is a night of storytelling.”
Jake Gyllenhaal returned to Headstrong’s benefit for the fifth year, this time to read a letter penned by a veteran who could not be present. It was an empowered testimonial of a man who’d journeyed from mental breakdown to the role of an attentive, loving father. Others on hand included benefit committee member Chelsea Clinton, model Carolyn Murphy, interior designer Ariel Ashe, CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Chloe Gosselin, performer Joseph Morales, and Meredith Melling.
Orange Is the New Black star Jackie Cruz attended to support veteran Carol Garlick, who wrote a film about the military that Cruz will soon direct. “Mental health is an issue that people don’t always think is a real problem,” Cruz said. “It is, and dealing with your mind, thoughts, and feelings—and their invisible wounds—it’s important.” Garlick, retired Brig. Gen. Donald C. Bolduc (who served for 32 years and was present to deliver awards on moral courage), and veteran Matt Wilson all made clear that with Headstrong, there is hope.

In June 2009, my former twitter mutual Patrick saw Jake & Austin at Coogies Beach Cafe in Malibu having brunch together.
And in 2013, both men were seen late at night at In n Out Burger.
And let's not forget Jake and his daughter having brunch in the end of May 2013 at the Ritz Club Lounge.
In 2015, Special's friend saw them together having dinner on Aug 23, a Sunday night and it was around 8 in the evening. In Koreatown.
