Well, amazing how a few speculative comments can prompt reaction on the social media front with Jake and Austin. While Austin and his Beard Chlo Bennet put on their Esther Williams puppet show yesterday afternoon, his better half Jake remained hidden from public view with the word being that he's been in London for awhile filming. Or has he? From an LA-area based tweeter, came this sighting on the 11th, quite early in the morning:

Not really, when you remember that he and Austin have a bunch of little ones. Little ones wake up early. And with Austin being at home as well, Jake can go off and leave the kids with Austin while he goes off to tend to his bulging biceps. Jake's arms aren't always as "developed" as they were in those Okja pics, so it makes me wonder if Life filming is going to require him to be rather fit. And that could be why he needs to hit a gym which is going to have a more extensive selection of machines.

Well, Jewish custom dictates that a bris for a health baby is done on the eighth day of life (counting the day of birth). If a baby was born by Caesarean section, the Bris is not performed on Shabbos or on a festival, but on the day following. Basically, this means that Jake and Austin could very well have been hiding another birth. The pattern was for all the family to convene in LA when a baby was being born. Maggie was there. Ramona was there. Stephen showed up the next day in a photo op with Jake having lunch. I'm sure Mommie Dearest Naomi was somewhere nearby as well.

The story was planted that Jake would be in MV all summer (because he had Atticus with him, after all!), which was why it was "ok" for Austin to be in LA.
But when Jake got caught at that store in LA, that is what blew their plans. So Mgmnt planted Austin in NC and he was a no-show at the Breakthrough Awards. In reality, he was in LA all along.

Sometimes with all of the "extracurricular" social media activity surrounding deeply closeted couples or individuals, it can become easy to forget the nice stuff, the good stuff. So I wanted to spend a moment reflecting on something that I really enjoy and like about Jake and it's his much publicized love for cooking and also for cookbooks.
Excerpted from an interview quoted on many sites, Jake said:
“I’ve always loved cooking, probably because my father and mother always cooked,” he said. Gyllenhaal also collects old cookbooks, to inspire new dishes. “I have a massive section in my library at home of beautiful old cook books. I really have a strange obsession with them.”
“If I’m making a romantic dinner. I like to go to a farmers market first, buy things fresh and come up with my own dish based on whatever I’ve bought,” said Gyllenhaal. “I grow my own vegetables at home because I love fresh food.” - DietsinReview.com
Now, who knows how he would be able to grow vegetables at home now, but perhaps something that grows quickly so the kids could participate. I'm curious as to what kind of cookbooks Jake collects. All kinds? Baking? Italian? Mexican, surely. Aaah, how about soups, stews and chowders?? Any canning? Breakfast and Brunch? Stratas and fritatas? Pressure cooker involvement? Kabobs?
Anyway, it's a great talent and love to have. It's too bad we don't hear more about these pieces of Jake as a person anymore. Bon appetit, buddy!

I really like him.” Maggie says that she and the actor are “in the middle of shooting” the show and that it’s “been amazing.” The new drama, which has no official airdate at this time, is set in the 1970’s and explores a number of rising issues during that time. “He actually directed the third episode, which was really a pleasure,” she said about James. “I loved working with him as a director.” Aw! We’re looking forward to see these two in the upcoming drama!
After discussing her show, Maggie laughed and told us that she probably sounded like she was talking in a “1970’s Queens accent” due to her new HBO role. Getting on to the topic of acting and women’s roles in Hollywood, she shared her thoughts on how females are taking on bigger parts and breaking barriers in the acting world. “I think there are many interesting, fascinating roles for women right now — Of course, I wish there were more,” Maggie candidly admitted. “But, I think it’s an exciting time to be an actress, I feel excited anyway.”
She went on to express her own thoughts on the projects she’s had a chance to be a part of, saying, “I feel like I’ve been working with some really interesting writers and directors to tell stories that feel like they’re really about women, that we recognize, and that we relate to.” We have to say, we’re loving the girl power behind her inspiring thoughts!
Speaking of working with “interesting writers and directors” Maggie has been busy with a partnership of her own with some very talented individuals! She is the star of three short films from the finalists of Jameson’s ‘First Shot’ competition. In case you didn’t know, this amazing competition gives three writers and directors a chance to bring their passion for film and their brilliant scripts to life, by choosing finalists out of a pool of applicants that Maggie tells us is “3,000 or 5,000” people!
She got involved with the competition, which involves Kevin Spacey, 57, Dana Brunetti, 43, and Trigger Street Productions, after she was showed the top 20 finalists. “They asked me to do it and they showed me some of the films they had made in the previous years with other actors that I admire — Kevin Spacey and Willem Dafoe. I thought the movies were really good, and I thought it was a great idea,” she said. “They showed me the top 20. So I chose which three films I wanted to make” with “characters that were interesting to me.”
Maggie stars in the short films, Beauty Mark, The New Express, and Home, where she also offered the young film fanatics her expert guidance. You can watch the films and learn all about the opportunity that gives emerging talent the chance to pursue their dreams right here!

Getting a kick out of Jake's people planting a few tweets today of Jake in London. Somehow we just don't have any photo ops or fan pics since that planted Instagram Crazy Quilt Picnic. And who knows where or when that was taken.
Jake's as resistant to the camera as Danneel Harris-Ackles since the potato pictures. It's going to be a bumpy ride for sure from here on out on the gestation period for the twins. There has already been drama and social media "outbursts" and rumors of crying and I don't know what all.
In a way, Jake & Austin never had to worry about anyone speculating on baby bumps or who was the biological mother of their kids because their surrogates were never known. But Jensen married his beard so now they have to go through months of pretense. And it's already off to a pretty hinky start.
