Nightcrawler is the most important movie I've seen this year. The message is powerful, and Gyllenhaal is so good that you forget it's him.
I used to follow the Gyllenspoon tragedy. My BF and I worked in LA for about five years and finally bit the bullet and moved back East and got grown up jobs. I KNOW JG doesn't have a half a dozen children with his gay lover. But the OMG four horsemen of the crazy train apocalypse are sticking to their guns. If the hypothesis is that they are married with kids then the hypothesis has to be proven. Let's look at that shall we?
1. there are NO facts or evidence to support that they are married with kids. The evidence that OMG hangs their hats on is ridiculous.
2. common sense refutes the hypothesis. if you apply any critical thinking or occam's razor at all, the hypothesis falls apart right away.
3. the hypothesis is dependent on now thousands of individuals outside the core conspirators (non celebrity individuals) going along with the conspiracy on social media. this is frankly beyond comprehension and anyone who believes that thousands of random people have been paid to tweet fake sightings and photos and nothing has ever leaked is utterly insane.
That is why the idea of the marriage and kids gets pounced on.

There are a lot of strong performances from actors this year. Were you surprised to be included in today's nominations?
There have been — particularly from peers this year, some extraordinary performances. I would hear that in rumblings in almost every interview I've done. I knew there were a lot of great performances in the mix, so it was a huge surprise. But I also was really excited about AFI supporting the movie the other day.
And I also am kind of super-psyched that my sister was nominated too [for "The Honorable Woman"]. I love her more than a million awards times infinity. I think she did the best work I've ever seen her do.

Ouch! I haven't seen the film nor do I intend to, but from what I've seen on twitter it appears that Jake's character is one dimensional in nature. He starts out as a creep and gets creepier throughout the film. I don't consider that kind of performance relatable or transformative. I agree Jake obviously has the backing of some big time players. I'm sure Austin hooking up with "The Poopster" helped his chances as well.

PG and SK pretend they are "connecting dots" but they are just pulling crap out of their asses in desperation LOL. They pretend they have some basis for their fiction, but there is nothing besides their arrogant refusal to admit they could be wrong to support J/A married with five (or is it six) kids. Still haven't explained how those kids are getting on that school bus every morning in LA.
