Speculation has surfaced that Jake Gyllenhaal and Minka Kelly recently hooked up, albeit temporarily.

The peak of Mount Everest is 8,848 meters high, and if you think that walking nearly nine kilometers sounds tiring then try to imagine climbing that distance vertically, in temperatures as low as -35ºC. Over 200 people have died attempting to climb Everest, and Baltasar Kormákur’s true-life adventure epic Everest will tell the story of just a few of them.
Everest will star Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) as Rob Hall, the leader of an ill-fated expedition during the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, and Michael Kelly (Man of Steel) as Jon Krakauer, another mountaineer present during the disaster who survived to tell the tale in his book “Into Thin Air”.
Universal Pictures announced today that principal photography on Everest has begun. The filming locations will include the foothills of Everest in Nepal, the Italian Alps, Cinecittá Studios in Rome and Pinewood Studios in London. Starring as other members of the expedition are Josh Brolin (Oldboy), John Hawkes (Lincoln), Jake Gyllenhaal (Prisoners), Martin Henderson (Smokin’ Aces), Emily Watson (The Book Thief) and Naoko Mori (Suspension of Disbelief). Universal has also released the first image from Everest, showing Clarke and co. struggling through the snow.
Without spoiling things too much for those unfamiliar with the disaster, let’s just say that some of the mountaineers depicted in Everest made it back down the mountain, while others did not. The shocking story of tragedy and survival was first adapted for the screen in the 1997 TV movie Into Thin Air: Death on Everest, which was based on Krakauer’s book and starred Peter Horton, Nathaniel Parker and Richard Jenkins.
Kormákur is experienced in the thriller and action genres, having recently directed Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington in crime comedy 2 Guns. The script was co-written by Oscar winner Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) and Oscar nominee Mark Medoff (Children of a Lesser God).
Disaster movies, especially those based on true stories, can make for gripping cinema and Everest‘s excellent cast has definitely piqued our interest. We’ll hopefully be able to bring you more on-set images as filming continues.

Overall, I think he is guilty of what prosecutors call "attempting to convince when only asked to convey." Think Jodi Arias here. Not only was it morning on day XYZ that her deceased boyfriend first hit her, it was 10:07 AM, there was roadwork on the highway that she drove on (at precisely 45 mph because her gas was almost gone and she had only $2.52 in her red coin purse). The theory is that "if I am really specific about something, then I must be recalling real events and am not lying."
