One Fabulous Fagola Run-in Blind Vice!
It was so delicious. Better than Angie getting her gal-flirt on at the Globes. Far better than whatever Mickey Rourke did with all those easy chicks at the after-parties. Call it showdown of the down-low dudes!
(You do know what down-low means, right? Uh, it's when superficially macho guys, often in the black and Latino cultures, but not always, like to screw with guys on the side while they've got the babes out in front.)
So here we go: Like the good little showman he is, Toothy Tile went to the Golden Globes this past weekend. And where was a camera when you needed one 'cause boyfriend ran into Lloyd Boy-Toyed, one of our other closeted Hollywood actors, just not as famous.
Jeez, wanna hear what happened?
They met. For the first time, I do not know, but I'm pretty sure it was. And even though both stars live to get their boy-flirt on, big-time, these guys are nearly a generation apart, so I highly doubt they mingle at the same gay gatherings.
But what's really interesting is how very sad Lloyd acted with Toothy, almost as if he saw before him the chance he'll never have: the possibility to come out of the closet and still have a career. Boy-Toyed never will out himself (although others sure as hell keep trying), not just because of his age, but because of his family, trust me on that one. But Toothy? Everybody knows he could still have it both ways; he's sure young enough. So what did Lloyd and Tooth discuss?
"The awards, the show, politics — it was a total come-on," insists my Toothy/Lloyd interloper. Am I quoting myself here, I wonder, and being very sneaky? Hmm. "It's how Lloyd operates. It's all in the eyes." Yes, that much is true. Very true. I know firsthand.
But let's get the point, already: Did Lloyd and Toothy hook up? Not there, they didn't, although I do believe digital info was exchanged, a dynamic that never would have gone down had T.T.'s standard chick date been around, which she wasn't, at least not then. Where could she have been? Stitching up Kate Beckinsale's dress in the ladies room?
Oh, and Lloyd. You might as well throw that number away. Toothy so is not calling. Sorry. (He's taken, a few times over.)

What's queer about Sundance '09? Plenty.

Can Wayne cope with the spectre of substance abuse and sexuality issues so that he can finally figure out what he really wants?
Humpday: Hetero best pals Ben (Mark Duplass) and Andrew (Joshua Leonard, The Blair Witch Project) reunite a decade after college and resume their ever-escalating competition, which finally leads to the ultimate dare — They're making an amateur sex movie. Together. With each other. Who's going to tell Ben's wife?
I Love You, Phillip Morris: Gay audiences have been holding their collective breath on this one, which looks like it could be either outrageously hilarious or dreadfully wrong-headed, with not much wiggle room in between. Jim Carrey stars as a larcenous accountant who finds true love behind bars with his cellmate, Ewan McGregor, and then does everything he can to be reunited with his one and only. It's from the Bad Santa guys; let's keep our fingers crossed.
The Informers: It's a Bret Easton Ellis story set in 1980s Los Angeles, so of course it's polymorphously perverse. Also of interest is the eclectic ensemble, which includes Mickey Rourke, Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Winona Ryder and the late Brad Renfro.
La Mission: Benjamin Bratt stars as a volatile ex-con who reacts violently when he learns that his beloved teenage son is gay. With the help of friends, the father tries to repair his relationship with his child. Bratt's brother Peter (Follow Me Home) directs.
Mary and Max: Directed by Oscar-winning queer Australian filmmaker Adam Elliot and featuring narration by Barry Humphries (aka Dame Edna), this animated feature chronicles the unlikely pen-pal relationship between an obese 44-year-old Jewish New Yorker with Asperger's syndrome (voiced by Philip Seymour Hoffman) and an 8-year-old Melbourne girl (Toni Collette) with a crush on her Boy-George-fan neighbor.
One Day in a Life (Un altro pianeta): An Italian man's visit to a gay beach gets him involved in the dramas of his fellow beachgoers and also summons painful memories of his own past. (Which is why I never go to gay beaches.)
Push: Based on the novel by Sapphire: (i.e., "Not to be confused with that dopey-looking Jumper wannabe starring Chris Evans that opens next month") Gay African-American director Lee Daniels (Shadowboxer, Tennessee) tells the story of a troubled teenage girl whose life is turned around by a devoted teacher (who also happens to be a lesbian).
The September Issue: Documentarian R.J. Cutler takes you behind the scenes of the nine-month creative process behind the September issue of Vogue, considered by many to be the fashion bible for the following year. And André Leon Talley is there.
Shouting Fire: Stories from the Edge of Free Speech: This documentary explores various contemporary First Amendment cases, including a student's lawsuit to allow him to wear anti-gay Bible scripture on T-shirts at school.
There's also tons of queer-themed shorts, including 575 Castro St. from filmmaker and archivist Jenni Olson (The Joy of Life). Filmed in Harvey Milk's old camera store — while the space was being used as a set for the movie Milk — the film features audio of the tape-recording Milk made to be played in the event of his assassination.
If you're going to Sundance, stay warm, drink lots of water, and pop by the Queer Lounge — it's the epicenter of everything gay happening at the festival.

Christiane Amanpour was just on CNN and is the first reporter to speak accurately about the whole Rick Warren fiasco. She correctly said it was about his opposition to gay rights NOT about gay marriage. Then she went on to say how Rick Warren damaged the AIDS work in Africa by pushing his abstinence only crap and not condoms. Thank you so much Christiane for speaking the truth. I hope someone puts that up on YouTube.

Rodrigo Prieto, cinematographer, Brokeback Mountain: Heath was definitely moody compared to Jake, who is very bubbly and jokes around. I remember the scene where he's in the Greyhound station and the girl he'd been seeing comes in and starts crying. Each take, she cried very easily. She had no problem finding that emotion. Heath just looked at me and said, ''Oh, how I envy her.''
Heath was very modest and humble about his craft -- in fact, in the greyhound station scene as Ennis he's perfect.

7:19 PM, I saw the interview where he said it. He took his roles very seriously, he wanted to get his characters. I always thought he understood Ennis really well. For the Joker he locked himself up in a hotel room for about 4 weeks to get into character.

Their friendship was very obvious during promotion. Ang Lee commented how watching Heath and Jake interact off screen moved him. It was a radio interview. I think there was a tenderness between them, which I personally found beautiful.
Obama has certainly not hesitated to offend the gay community in sutile ways since he has been elected. I feel he is very much trying to move to the center in order to not look to Liberal.

The first thing the guy has to address is the economy which is a complete and absolute disaster. He's got quite a job ahead of him.
Hillary did not support gay marriage either, but civil unions, and didn't promise to repeal DOMA, which her husband Bill signed into law, and which Obama has promised to do. This does much, much more for the furthering of gay rights than who gets the most television coverage. At least the Bishop was invited to speak. This could be Obama's way of bringing everyone to the table, remaining at odds isn't the answer. Try to keep things in perspective. The economy is in a shambles, and that will take first priority, as well as some other issues like the war, energy, healtcare, homeland security, environment, etc. Obama is the best chance you've got, and we should give him at least one day on the job before finding him wanting.
I like Obama, but he is being very disappointing regarding gay rights so far, and asking someone who believes gay are like pedophiles and incestuous to give the invocation is NOT FUCKING BRINGING EVERYONE TO THE TABLE.
It is asking a bigot to a prime place at the table, while turning a fucking cold shoulder to all LBGT people, including a decision not to televise Bishop Robinson's gracious speech.
P.S. Civil Rights are always a priority, and just because they're for gay people doesn't make them any less of a priority.

They have to be worked with for change, as well as those who listen to them. All I'm saying is that this is what may be Obama's reasoning. Nobody said civil rights were not for all, of course they are, but real change means working with people you don't agree with or even like, for the greater good. In the hopes of making them see people as real people, on both sides. If people remain on opposing sides, nothing will change, and misunderstanding and the bigotry will continue. Let's give Obama a chance.

"I don't know where to begin. Well my Mom and Peter are getting paid to be extras in Jake Gylenthingy's new movie which is being shot in Columbia. Not only that, apparently Jake hangs out with my cousin's friends and they were driving around the other day and Jake heard a song he liked and bimbamboom one of my friends is now making Jake Gyllenhaal a mix, mad world indeed. I believe that Ted saw Jake and Austin, since I think they had a fling. But I also think he's with Reese, he probably thought he scored it big to land an Oscar winning actress. Kirsten, when he was dating her, was a much bigger star then Jake too. I think Jake's a bit pathetic and I think the Reese thing is gonna bite him in the ass.

You see that her priority seems to be her daughter.
I know you'll say these are all planned photo ops, I do think some are organized (since I believe both use their "ship" for promo) but others are not. When Jake was working you saw quite a few with her kiddies. I guess I wanna say, I don't like this couple and I don't think she's that good a mom like so many claim.

I honestly don't know - if they marry, and certainly if they have a child together, that's my cue to give up on it. Whatever we think of them, she's his choice. I'm happy that the kids no longer seem to be in the spotlight tho. They don't need to prove that Jake is co-parenting material, I'm sure he's fine. Whether he had a fling with Austin or not, it's entirely possible, I think that happens in HW more than we think.

It's not that I entirely don't believe in TT. As I've said, I believe Ted saw them and I believe Jake and Austin were together. But I also believe that Ted exaggerates and makes things up about TT. I don't believe in BT at all though. It's just too ridiculous.
For people who believe in TT and BT a marriage or break up won't change their opinion that it's/was a fauxmance, for me my opinion won't change that they are/were (if they break) dating for real.

Heath Ledger videotape suit settled
A reporter and a photo agency have settled a lawsuit that alleged two of the company's employees tricked her into allowing them into her hotel room to videotape Heath Ledger using cocaine.
The terms of the settlement of the suit filed by the woman, identified in her court papers only as Jane Doe, were not divulged.
"All I can say is that the matter has been resolved," said the woman's attorney, Neville L. Johnson. A hearing in the case had been scheduled today in Los Angeles Superior Court. The woman's invasion of privacy suit was filed last April 11 against Splash News; Kevin Smith and Gary Morgan, two of the agency's managing partners; reporter/videographer Munn; and photographer Darren Banks. An amended version was lodged Sept. 18 after a judge found problems with all but one cause of action.
According to the plaintiff's court papers, she was dating Banks and working for People magazine on a freelance basis the night that Ledger was a contender for a Screen Actors Guild award on Jan. 29, 2006, for his lead role in the 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain."
She and Banks were at the Chateau Marmont and were later joined by Munn later that evening at the hotel, which was the site of a SAG party where Ledger showed up after losing out to "Capote" star Philip Seymour Hoffman, according to her suit.
After having a smoke with Ledger on the outside patio of the hotel lounge, Munn and Banks later persuaded the woman to let the three men go up to her room, according to her suit. OK..........about RW & TT. While I think it is fairly obvious that this is strictly a publicity act the reasons are far more interesting. RW is a very manipulative person, and as someone here mentioned, is obsessed with her public image. There is no way in hell that she wants to come across as the victim, a la JA, so this bearding puts her in a positive and strong light with the public. A woman who was cheated on and moved on QUICKLY. "I am woman hear me roar". TT, on the other hand, desperately needs a female love interest. Between the rag mags, gossip sites and bloggers indicating he is gayer than a goose, he needs to convince Joe Public he is a family man. This is the image he needs to sell if he wants to continue working as a leading man. However, he has desperately wanted to come out even before BB and has been advised against it by the suits time and time again. In the meantime, RW & TT are just good platonic friends while TT enjoys spending time with her kids. I have heard second hand he has recently been contemplating a change in his professional and personal life, so who knows?

Heath didn't die of a smack OD. He mixed the wrong tablets. He didn't have any illegal drugs or alcohol in his system. Why should they cover anything up?
