One Boyishly Bothered Blind Vice
Isn't it interesting Lloyd Boy-Toyed is undertaking his latest media campaign to fight off rumors about everything under the tabloid sun—every topic save the one he wants to get out: that he sometimes likes young dudes in bed. Not Michael Jackson-style, mind you, but he sometimes likes 'em young. And to keep quiet. And you know what that means, doncha girlfriends? Occasionally Mr. Boy-Toyed's gotta give 'em the green. What a cold, hard, cashed-out town this can be, huh?
Let's see, Lloyd's busy mouthing off about his nasty battles with most everybody in the Biz, not to mention his more cherished (and known) companions and relatives. He appears to be a total crank-a-thon, really, but don't believe it for a sec. Oh, some of it's real, that's fer sure, but it's mostly for show, I assure you.
I have firsthand knowledge of Lloyd's more cunning agendas—not to mention the ones he prefers to get underway under the covers. Don't ask me how. I can't tell! I'm a married man now! I would never embark on something as nasty as tattling 'tween the sheets when I've got a superhoney at home. Quite the opposite of how Lloyd goes about things, trust.
Really, though, as sloppy as Lloyd's getting in the attempting-to-score department, he's gonna be out long before our beloved Toothy Tile, I assure you. Oh, and Lloyd-baby, I don't care, really. But, your blind-as-merde fans sure will. I say screw it, already! (Like you have so many guys.)

Seriously: Jake said to one interviewer that David F really wanted him bad and it was kind of weird, in Jake's view, and he'd discuss that one day.

Gyllenbobbleheads resent Heath because he is a threat to their fantasy that Jake is more than a handsome guy and talented actor. They can't stand it that Heath is perceived in the film industry, especially among directors, as being not just "talented," but transcendent at times.
If they had more confidence in Jake, they could be more gracious about Heath.

If you were a fan of Heath, you'd know HL Central doesn't exist anymore.
When the first pictures of Jake pop up and when he starts promoting his new film, he'll be the center and focus again. I think this Heath talk is mainly because of his recent movie. It'll die down.
It is also the lack of fansites for Heath that forces fans of both to talk about him on here. The best would be if a place only for Heath's fans would be created.

Exactly. And Zodiac was a study in post-production mismanagement. It was too long, too expensive and released at absolutely the worst time of the year : March. Why do you put a film as complex as The Parallax View, All The President's Men or Three Days of the Condor again spring-break dreck like Norbit and 300? Fincher was an idiot for taking so long and spending so much just to release the film at the wrong time. There was so much Zodiac-related tension among the actors, director and producers, even now, that it's almost painful to watch them talk about it.
And the tragic thing is that the film really brilliant, but the post-production was so spectacularly incompetent that no one saw the film.

But if I were to have a child right now, I wouldn’t be upset by it because I think I am in a place where I could continue to work and learn and take care of another human being. But, like marriage, it’s not a choice I would make for myself at this moment…’
Today, wearing a black dress she ‘thinks’ is by Fendi (‘the people here gave it to me’), Anne looks waif-like and younger than 25. While she loves dressing up, she is happier dressing down and has never worried about extreme diets or exercise. Except, that is, when filming The Devil Wears Prada when the roles she and Emily played required them to lose weight (‘We would clutch each other and cry with hunger’).
Naturally slim but not skinny, she sees a preoccupation with body-image as immature. ‘When I was younger,
I thought I’d be happier skinnier. But then you turn 14 and you think, well, maybe not.’ What does she think of the ‘size zero’ issue and the influence very thin celebrities have on young girls? ‘Do I think it’s dangerous? Yes, but I think the real danger in life is if you allow yourself to be swayed by the mob. We all have the power to assert our individuality and say, “If that works for you, great, but it doesn’t work for me.” I’ve always been an independent person – which sometimes might have made me look a bit arrogant – but I’m trying to live my life as my own,’ she says.
Anne, who has admitted to suffering from depression and anxiety as a teenager, believes that we all have a responsibility for our own happiness and that the best role models for the young are those who lead, rather than follow, the mob. ‘You know who I think is the perfect role model for girls right now? Agyness Deyn. I love her and I hear she is just wonderful. She is happy and healthy and dancing to her own music, and that’s the sort of person girls need to look up to. Other than their mothers and families.’
Family is very important to Anne. Her brother Michael, with whom she has been riding round Paris on the city’s free ‘Vélib’ bicycles, and her mother Kate, who will be her ‘date’ for tonight’s dinner, are supporting her on this trip. ‘Daddy had to stay home and work and Thomas is studying – he has just been accepted at Oxford, which is so brilliant,’ she says.

which was released maybe a month or 2 before Fincher's movie "Zodiac". Two friends liked "The Zodiac" better, But after watching Jake's Zodiac over on DVD, I appreciated it more this time although a 2 hour plus movie now became over 3 hours due to my constant bouts of falling asleep on the damn thing. did I just say that? I should have help Fincher edit that thing.

700 TIFF-goers packed in to see Kelly Reichardt's heartbreaking Wendy and Lucy. Reichardt made the sublime Old Joy, and this is another shambling Pacific Northwest tale, but a sadder one: Michelle Williams as a neo-hobo, sleeping in her car, shoplifting for food, with only her golden brown mutt, Lucy, for company. Williams is amazing, totally convincing, as Wendy's world falls apart: her car breaks down and she loses her dog, stuck in a small, busted-down Oregon town. Jeez, I need a good comedy.

Gazillions of people care about trainwrecks like Britney, even though she hardly deserves much praise.
Not nearly as many care about Jake, but to me he represents (represented?) something - hope, I guess. I appreciate his good work (when it happens) but dislike the bullshit, and the ambiguous posturing. That means I don't look at him as a fanclub fan. Same goes for Heath. I wouldn't praise his drug use, but his acting, yes, and since he didn't spew too much bullshit, not much to criticize there. I guess that makes it uneven.
Jake has done some iconic movies and given outstanding performances. In Brokeback Mountain, his best of all, he lays his heart out for all to see in a way that no male actor playing a romantic lead ever has. With the smallest look he communicates jaw-aching emotional truth. That curled-lip glance he gives Ennis just before he says "that's more words than you've spoke in the past two weeks" expresses more than entire books and should go down as the lynchpin of one of the great exchanges on film. I could go on about all his fine moments, but then I'd just be another Jake fan, wouldn't I? I'm actually a Toothy fan.
More than enough people here make posts that basically say nothing at all except "Jake is dreamy." If 90% of this blog has to be about praising Jake, it's not what I thought it was, and, sorry to say, it promises to be nothing more than boring.
I get it, though, that you and others simply want to talk about Jake in a positive way. Still don't understand why you are not on Wet Dark Wild or IHJ, though.

Crist Not Campaigning On Gay Marriage
Charlie Crist's not looking to shore up anti-gay sentiment this election season. Florida's governor said yesterday that while he'll vote for Proposition 2, which would amend the state's constitution and ban gay marriage, he won't actively campaign on the issue. Instead, he's looking to help out Republican presidential hopeful John McCain.

Regarding criticizing Heath. I had so many conversations with other people about him and most people feel sorry for him and think he commited suicide (which is an unpopular opinion within Heath's online fandom).
I'm not saying he didn't do illegal drugs, he probably did like most of Hollywood, but that's not what killed him.
You don't take 6 different types of pills and expect nothing will happen. How naive must he have been to think that?
A day or two before he died, he was seen in a bar in N.Y. wearing a skimask, sitting there all alone.
I think this guy had severe psychological problems. He ended his life with so much ahead of him. I don't see the point of criticizing him anymore. He already punished himself.
I had to get this off my chest. Now I'll move on.
I don't think he committed suicide because I don't think he wanted to do that to his family--particularly Matilda. He LOVED that little girl. I do think he was depressed, tired, insomniac, jet-lagged and had built up a large tolerance to drugs (prescription or otherwise) due to years of abuse. I don't think those six pills in his system were a rarity but because he was physically sick at the time (flu or pneumonia), that compromised his immunity and his body could no longer take it and he died.
It was definitely not suicide but he didn't take care of himself and apparently, the people around him didn't take care of him either.

I think is great that you can express yourself and move on,really.But first let me tell you what i think:
I believe after Heath's horrible death the media and the fans created a character about him, making him look like a "tortured" artist who suffered because he was to much sensitive for this world.
I think he liked drugs,plain and simple (cocaine and pills) but i don't think it was really an issue for him considering he never had problems with the achievements of his work and he was never caught DUI or something like that.People who knew him said great things about him after and BEFORE his passing. Anyway,i think he was upset because of the split with MW, not because he wanted to come back with her but because a separation is always difficult no matter if there is still love or not, but i don't believe for a moment the stories about him sitting alone in a bar drinking and moaning as if he was Bukowski or some shit like that.He had worries like everybody else and i bet he was mature and strong enough to face his problems, i'm tired of people talking about him like if he was a sad and vulnerable little lost boy because he certainly wasn't, besides If he wanted to kill himself off he woulda take the entire bottle of pills at the same time and at least he woulda let a letter for his family and a testament in favor to his daughter.

Generally Heath boards are less active now. I doubt that even when Parnassus comes out they'll get much more active. The movie can't find a distributor, because most of Gilliams films are crap, many think Parnassus won't be an exception.

I adore Heath, and I don't care if we talk about him forever and a day. As far as Health becoming legend and myth, he'll take care of that just fine on his own because of his amazing talent and performances - whatever we as fans say or do won't make that much difference. When I was growing up, homosexuality was like a curse. This was midwest America in the Eighties, so I couldn't exactly make it a known thing. But I never doubted my sexuality. Even as a child, I knew I was different. I would look at a dirty magazine and I would feel drawn to the guy rather than the girl. His bits were more interesting than hers. It would make me feel warm and tingly. After gym class, I'd secretly peek at the other boys in the shower when I knew that I shouldn't. I was nine or 10 and I didn't know what being gay meant.
Later, I made sure I was good at sports and I worked out so they couldn't call me a wimp. I had to copy the others to fit in and avoid being bullied; I'd date girls, dance with them, go for dinner but I used to panic when I was on her doorstop and I'd have to kiss her and feel her up.
I moved to the UK in 1990. Scott, my civil partner, is British. I think I prefer British men to American men. British men have changed over the past few years. They are beginning to take care of themselves and hell, nothing beats a foreskin. A lot of Americans are snipped at birth, Jewish or not.
I go through phases and right now, I'm going through a builders' phase. I don't know why, but they are so hot. I think it's OK to be in a relationship and still look. It doesn't mean you are going to do anything. Anyway, personality is a big thing for me. Of course I look at their physique, body and face but a hot body is nothing if their personality's bad. The first time I saw Scott I knew he was the one. We saw each other casually for about year but before it got serious, I had my fair share of wham-bam. One can never have enough wham-bam. When a guy strays and ends up with someone else, it's not a big deal. Sex for men is external. I think it's hard for women to realise this.
I would love to lecture to women on men. I'd tell them everything about men: gay, straight, bi, how we're all the same, how we're all bastards. Men know what men want. In and out of bed. Some women are afraid to go to regions that are especially sensitive to men because they think it's dirty. I'd love to be able to tell women this. I think it would open up their sex lives. Experimentation is incredibly healthy. Men love it when their partner dresses up. My mother even advocates it. Unless you are going to get physically hurt, you should give it a go. Before you start, you need a panic word in case you feel uncomfortable. Ours changes depending on the situation but you can't shout 'stop' because it might fit into the role-play situation a little too well.
I get loads of letters from soldiers in Iraq. Mostly they say thanks for making their sexuality acceptable but a lot tell me when they come home they are going to come out. I'm proud to represent my community and help these guys if I can.
Some celebrities do cash in on being gay. I have and I haven't. Part of my success is down to my honesty in that department but I also like cars, mechanical things, and sports. I exist on that end of the gay community. Gay men aren't all the same. I can be camp but that's just me acting.
The biggest homophobes in Hollywood are the gay guys themselves. I reckon loads of Hollywood actors are gay, we don't know which ones. I guess the industry should be easier for gay men to succeed in, but I honestly don't know. When a straight gay man plays a gay man they get an Oscar. I just play me. If I am looked upon as a role model for young, gay men and women then so be it. I will never be negative about my sexuality.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Matt Damon doesn't hold back when talking about Sarah Palin. Matt called the Palin pick a "disaster," and that there's a good chance she will become President which is a "scary thing." Matt also doesn't understand why more people aren't talking about it. Um...does he ever go on the internet?
Matt went on to say that the whole thing is a really bad Disney movie. He said, "The hockey mom, you know, 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom'... and she's facing down Vladimir Putin... It's totally absurd... It's a really terrifying possibility."
Come on, Matt! What do you take Disney for? It's probably already in development under the working title "President Mommy." Megan Mullally already passed on it, so they are talking to Geena Davis. I can already see the poster. Geena Davis is holding a soccer ball in front of the White House while her kids are pulling at her skirt and her husband (played by Rick Moranis) is rolls his eyes at her. Vladimir Putin can play himself. It'll be a hit!

Not true. I dont ever hang out with babblers and I think Heath is one of the greatest actors of our times, and also love his greatness of spirit and lovely intellect. I wept for weeks after his death and continue to love and admire him.
However! seems to me the continued conversations about the circumstnaces of his death after seven months is unseemly, maudlin and depressing. And how fortunate we are that he has left so much of himself behind.
