Since it's Blind Friday, thought I'd also give you the latest on Toothy Tile. Hear he's not really planning on adopting a kiddo, as I previously broke a few weeks ago. Nope. I was—gasp!—wrong.
Turns out T2, so blab our mutual amigos, plans on swirling up his love juice, right alongside his boyfriend's procreating protein, ya know, putting it in some kinda beaker or toaster, or something, and mixing it around with a donor's eggs, then putting the results into yet another donor to carry the resulting embryo.
The plan is, Boyfriend Tile will then, legally (and far, far away from pokin' press types like yours truly) be listed as papa—when, in fact, our beloved Tooth just may be the correct daddio.

Jake Gyllenhaal’s career has never been better. After ending 2014 with a wave of critical acclaim for his portrayal as Lou Bloom in Nightcrawler, he looks set to build upon this recognition in 2015 with a number of interesting projects. And it now turns out that Jake Gyllenhaal is looking even further afield than that with The Man Who Made It Snow.
ReplyDeleteJake Gyllenhaal had signed up to star in Antoine Fuqua’s Colombian crime-biopic several months back, but now the film has taken a huge leap forward thanks to Harvey Weinstein. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it was announced by the Weinsten Co. at the Berlin Film Festival that they have struck a co-financing deal with IM Global. In fact things are already steamrolling ahead quite nicely as foreign buyers are starting to invest in The Man Who Made It Snow. The film has reportedly progressed to such an extent that a decision has been made to start shooting by the end of this year, which we can assume should lead to it being released in 2016.
Jake Gyllenhaal is taking a hands-on approach with The Man Who Made It Snow, and, just like he was on Nightcrawler, he will work as the film’s producer. This comes after he worked as the executive producer on the hugely impressive 2012 police drama, End Of Watch. And from the sound of things, The Man Who Made It Snow could be an awards contender when it’s finally released. Gyllenhaal will take the main role of Max Mermelstein, who was allegedly the only American who was in the inner circle of the Colombian drug cartels during the 1980s.
Mermelstein is believed to have smuggled around $12.5 billion of cocaine into the USA. That’s despite the fact that his attorney insists he was simply a "nice Jewish guy who got into the wrong industry." Max worked as a drug smuggler for the Medellin Cartel during the late 1970s and early 1980s, but when he was eventually caught he turned into one of the most valuable government witness’ in US history. The Man Who Made It Snow is based on Max Mermelstein’s autobiography, which Brett Tabor and Michael Kingston have adapted.
Antoine Fuqua was quick to announce that he is thrilled to be working alongside Jake Gyllenhaal once again, having recently directed the actor in the upcoming Southpaw.
I am thrilled to bring this compelling and true story to the screen with Jake. One of the most talented and transformative actors I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
Impressive words from Fuqua. Weinstein himself was quick to add to them too, stating that he can’t wait to see what the paring of Fuqua and Gyllenhaal brings, before labelling Jake as "an actor who time and time again wows us with his fearlessness."
Jake Gyllenhaal is certainly in the acting form of his life right now. And with the likes of Southpaw, Everest, Demolition and now The Man Who Made It Snow on the horizon, things only look to be getting better for him too.

Notice how PG ignores the present and must keep going back in time in order to "make her case" that J/A are married with 5 (or is it 6?) BTs. She is obsessed with the past and the Ted years because there is nothing in the recent past or present to indicate J/A are a couple. She can't accept the passage of time and the evolution of people's lives. If J/A had a relationship beyond friendship in the past, why must that be her gospel in 2015? Could it have anything to do with not wanting to admit being wrong and not wanting to believe the fantasy of the happy couple and kids is just not true? Seems like it. It's hard to let go when you have so much emotional investment. It's not 2006 or even 2010 anymore and it's actually kind of sad that she stubbornly refuses to open her mind to the present where Jake lives in NY and is busy with his stage and film career and is receiving well-deserved praise for both, and instead she is bitter and resentful of his success.

Tribeca Film Festival will be April 15-26 this year and Austin tweeted his short will be shown there. I have to laugh because you guys called it. ITALY VIA TEXAS
I got my heels back in Texas dirt on Thursday.
It feels good to be back on my native soil.
The homeland.
The Mother-Country.
Humid as all get-out. Curly hair. Incredibly gracious people.
Almost as nice as Canadians. God I love Canadians.
As soon as I landed I saw the most beautiful image.
I pulled into a gas station to fill up and a little black
sedan swept up to the pump across from me.
A gorgeous young blond lass jumped out of her car with a
colorful summer dress on. She was tan and beautiful.
And as she trotted over to the store I spied her bare feet
and as she walked away from me and her feet kicked up in
my direction, I was charmed by her dirty, oil-stained soles.
I was in my home-town and homesick all at once.
I have never seen a barefoot woman walking around a dirty
gas station in Los Angeles.
God Bless Texas.

Yes, I believe that's a little girl, too, Tom. That's why I think the toddler is BT2 who we think was born in early January 2009. The child's coat sighting in the London restaurant was in 2008 so it would have to be BT1.

I saw Jake Gyllenhaal's play Constellations. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it was amazing. Seriously, it was incredible. I felt weird crying because the whole theater was silent - not that I cry loudly, but it was awkward. I tried holding my breath while trying not to cry loudly and my giant head almost exploded. Anyway, the play was so amazing.
It's the second time I've seen Jake live on stage. He's my favorite actor. So underrated. So versatile. So hot. My seat was so close to the stage I could touch it with my foot. Yes, I stared at Jake's crotch most of the time.
Things I didn't expect - SPOILERS - to see Jake cry IN PERSON (heartbreaking, which totally made me cry) and seeing him slap a woman (!!!). Speaking of that woman, Ruth Wilson is SO UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING!!!! Seeing them on stage was like two titans doing what actors do best.
Jake Gyllenhaal is THE best. I'm sorry - it's not negotiable. He's simply a gift from God. A work of art in skin. He's that good. Anyway, after the play he signed autographs for and took pictures with fans. I struck out again (struck out in 2012 as well), but I ain't mad at him. I had dinner with Shawn Ashmore. It's pretty much downhill from there. lol So... Another great night. I love New York. Until next time, Jake. And there WILL be a next time.

"All of the scenes inside Lou’s apartment were funneled down to one day. We had to shoot everything there in just one day. Actually, it was less that one day because our schedule got tightened up. So Jake, our director of photographer Robert Elswit and I knew that we had a shoot quite a few things in the apartment, but it wasn’t scripted fully. We knew we needed him watching the TV, but we needed him watering the plants, going to the kitchen, going to the bathroom, that sort of thing.
So when we got the bathroom, it was very late at night, and we’d been shooting at that point for 14 hours. Jake was in the bathroom, and his character at that point in the story was upset because Nina (Rene Russo) had just yelled at him and Lou was going to react to that to some degree. So breaking the mirror was not planned – Jake just slammed the mirror, and I didn’t think anything was wrong, but he came out and he’d sliced the ball of the thumb on his left hand, cutting off some skin, maybe an inch and a half long and an inch across. It was extremely bloody.
"It was now 6am, and we were heading to Cedars-Sinai hospital. The neurosurgeon took 44 stitches to sew up Jake’s hand, and seven hours later we were back shooting the last night of the whole shoot. The last two scenes that we shot, with his hand in a cast, were the scenes in the salvage yard, and if you notice he has his hands behind his back.
