It is not threatening at all, and when Jake and Austin are together (rare the past several years) they make no move to hide it. There is no reason to hide friendship. It seems that Austin and Jake have drifted apart in recent years which makes sense because they no longer live in the same city and their lives have gone in different directions. Jake is a brooding depressive, and Austin chases teenage girls on twitter.

Yes, good luck. Like any conspiracy theory when something presents itself as obviously contradictory to the theory the theorists must bend and twist their story to fit the new facts or evidence. This one is challenging for OMG but it can always be done. Anything can be bent to fit. I think their new story is that all of this (Chloe, Sarah, all of it) is a fake setup to make Austin appear super heterosexual. How they relate that to Jake is really confusing though because there are only a handful of people on earth (10? 12?) who believe Austin and Jake are a married couple. That's quite a charade to set up for 12 people. The reality is those 12 people (like all conspiracy theorists) aren't persuaded by any amount of fact or logic so typically, they are never a target of persuasion because it is a lost cause. That's one of the things that is so dumb about them thinking MNGMT is doing this for their benefit. Even if their theory were true (Jake and Austin are married with kids) MNGMT would not even waste time trying to convince OMGers of anything. The easy, safe way to hide Jake and Austin's relationship would be for both of them to do photo ops with beards every once in awhile and call it a day. This is not rocket science. Closeting actors is really quite easy. No need to pretend to move them to other cities. No need to pretend one of them is a pedophile. No need to pay hundreds of people to tweet fake sightings, or pay paps to photoshop fake photos. No need for red arrows. No need for a conspiracy at all. But that's so very boring, isn't it? Because that would mean no need for OMG, either.

The divorce of his parents, director Stephen Gyllenhaal and writer Naomi Foner in 2009, was a blow to him, but not unexpected.
After his father remarried and his mother moved to New York to be near his sister Maggie (Gyllenhaal) and her children, he too made that move putting his US$3.5mil (RM11.4mil) Hollywood Hills home on the market and readying himself for his Broadway debut opposite Ruth Wilson in Constellations which opens in December.
Although close to his mother, over the years they’ve had their petty disagreements
As he once jokingly told me, with his mother in the room: “I don’t listen to my mother very well. And my father likes to talk a lot. I do listen to my sister.” But he does respect her traditions.
“My family’s really intense. When you sit at a dinner table with us, it’s kinda hard to get away from talking about current events and movies.”
At the time I asked him if it bothered him that he was more successful than his parents?
“At first it was hard to contemplate, but my family is very supportive of each other. It was awkward at first, but now it’s just great. Our success helps each other. We’ve all discussed it. It’s something we deal with. What’s most important is that we all get along, and we like spending time with each other.”
And then almost as an afterthought he alluded to his parents’ contentious marriage.
“I think all of us at one time or another have been though a lot, as every family has. When both my parents decided to kind of grow up and get along, that to me was a really courageous move, something different than I was used to.”
Unfortunately it didn’t last.
But Gyllenhaal is reconciled.
“My family is so strong right now, In a way, that’s given me the strength to say, ‘Trust yourself’.”
Which means making movies that challenge him.

Jake Gyllenhaal is dedicated to his craft.
The actor, 33, dropped 30 pounds for his most recent movie, “Nightcrawler,” reports Entertainment Weekly.
“I made a lot of choices physically,” the actor, who ran 15 miles a day just going between his house and the set, told the magazine.
In the film, Gyllenhaal plays Lou Bloom, a wild-eyed paparazzo who stalks the moonlit streets of Los Angeles in search of sordid and shocking news. Although no one would call him beefy, the “Donnie Darko” star wanted to look gaunt as his on-screen alter ego, which meant subsisting on a diet of kale salad and chewing gum while filming the role.
According to the actor, this diet, along with all the running, took a toll on his body and his personal life.
“The running thing, you’re pretty hungry because you’re not eating a lot of food,” Gyllenhaal said. “You’re lonely because you’re not meeting your friends for dinner. People go, ‘Hey, you want to meet for dinner after work?’ I go, ‘Well, I’m shooting all night.’ ‘All right, you want to meet for lunch?’ I’m like, ‘I can’t!’ So I’m gonna go run.”
It was also a transformation that Gyllenhaal didn’t notice until well after the fact, when the movie was in post-production.
“I don’t think I was aware,” he said. “I don’t think I was aware until a few months ago and we were going through all the cuts, and you start to separate from the character and go, ‘Wow,’ you know?”
“Nightcrawler” will be released in theaters on Oct. 31.
