The images are countless, breathtaking: Four editors-in-chief, 16 years online, piles of exclusives, plenty of gossip, invented languages, maddeningly fascinating celebrities (dead and alive) and most importantly — you. The reader.
We did this for two decades, folks! When The Awful Truth, which I founded at Premiere magazine 20 years ago, ends this week, it's not the deliciously decadent Blind Vices I will miss the most...
It's you barking types who always made me feel gloriously alive, with all you had to say and scream and be so real about.
That community is my life's (professional) work up until now. It has meant more to me than each of you will ever know.
But it really is time to move on.
If you don't agree, just keep in mind that when I first took this job at E!—in 1996, when the network founded E! Online—I was working at the established and respected Premiere magazine. Scores of people told me, "Online just isn't the place to go."
Everybody told me to pass on the job, and so I did. Then I called back the next day and an amazing man named Lew Harris said, yes, of course, I could change my mind. And I did.
So that's what I'd like my last words to be: Always do what you're not supposed to do.

Friday was a scorcher, and Jake Gyllenhaal (sporting a Toronto Blue Jays cap) and Sarah Gadon beat the heat by taking to the Summerhill area for an ice cream cone and a walk in the summer sun. We’re impressed that Jakey G was able to keep the melting cone from getting all over his full beard. This isn’t his first time at the rodeo.

Now more new claims about the The Rolling Stones frontman's outrageous love life have emerged.
In a controversial new biography 'Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger', author Christopher Andersen alleges that the now 68-year-old rocker had a longterm love affair with fellow musical genius David Bowie.
A relationship between the two stars has long been rumoured, and now friends and family members of the pair have seemingly confirmed the pair's sexual antics with Andersen.
After meeting in the early Seventies, Andersen says both stars became fascinated with one another, attending each other's concerts and sending gifts to one another. Not long after their first encounter in 1973, when Mick visited Bowie backstage at one of his concerts, Andersen claims that their relationship quickly turned physical.
'It was the glitter era, and everybody wanted to be part of the bisexual revolution,' singer Chuckie Starr tells the author in the book.
'Mick was no different. He was wearing rhinestones, blue eye shadow, and platform shoes.'

Goodbye, Awful Truth
So sad. Yesterday Ted Casablanca wrote this Thank You article on his column. We've seen for the past few weeks now that there were less columns and no new Blind Vices for the past few weeks. So we saw it coming but am still upset. We will miss you so much, Ted! Us four sisters have been reading this column for so long... for me it's been since at least 2003.
We'll not only miss the witty Blind Vices, but also Ted's viewpoint on everything! I always trusted that Ted knew what was going on and loved reading his opinions on things. We will miss you Ted and the Awful Truth. Good luck on your new endeavors!

Comic-Con: WTF Moments, Past & Potential

Still, Open Road’s End of Watch may be the most poorly chosen for a panel. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena in a South Central L.A. cop drama from David Ayer, writer of Training Day. It may well be fine for what it is, but people want escapism at this show, and a brutally realistic look at the mean streets of anywhere doesn’t fit the bill.

Jake Gyllenhaal has been in Toronto shooting a movie with Denis Villeneuve. But what does he do during down time? Summer dating! He picked up a girl at the hotel for a drink a couple of weeks ago. And there’s a server from a popular Italian restaurant in town - with several locations - who went shopping the other day because she said she had a date with Jake. Can you imagine being that girl? You’re, I dunno, 25 years old. You go to work one day. He’s at your table. And smiling leads to laughing leads to talking leads to Jake f-cking Gyllenhaal asking what you’re doing tomorrow night and whether or not you want to get together...? Then you wonder - is it just me? Is there someone else from the Mexican restaurant and the Chinese one too? I keep hoping he hooks up with his co-star Sarah Gadon. She’s so sweet and pretty.

As for these photos - I searched his name on the photo database just now hoping to find new pictures to use and for some reason, these old ones with Kirsten Dunst turned up that I don’t remember seeing before. It was February 2004. They were at Staples Centre for the NBA All-Star Game trying to catch t-shirts that were being thrown into the crowd. I find this really endearing. She was a horrible bitch to him - and Sarah from Cinesnark can fill you on those details another time - but for a while there I loved them so much.
