Jake loves to have fun and stay active. Although he may come across a bit ADD when it comes down to relationships, at the heart of it, he is an idealist that is always up for an adventure. To him, love is about having someone to pal around with, discover the world and keep him entertained with philosophical conversations, physical challenges and never ending curiosities that inspire him, yet also can offer him a sense of structure. While he might be dreamier about his approach to relationships than realistic, what he does offer is a never-ending source of positive energy and enthusiasm. It has to do with partying and making Reese and her PR stories look bad or it has to do with Disney and the charity origization.

PoP is about money and HW status,nothing more. After that, he will be standing stronger in the business and can be more selective towards his projects. Look at Viggo Mortensen or Johnny Depp.Their acting credibility wasn't damaged because of their blockbusters. A franchise is not a bad choise for a young actor still trying to assure his place in the industry (and so much easier and joyful than bearding)

Anyway, they did a press release for one of their clients, Ad.ly, and they interviewed the co-founder. Well, Ad.ly is known for bringing advertisers and celebrity Twitter posters together. He let it slip in the interview that Kim Kardashian gets $10,000 per Tweet and that she does one ad Tweet a day. Seriously? That many people want to buy what she buys? She does have 2M followers, but $50K a week? For just saying stupid crap like go buy a pair of shoes at such and such a place. So lets see 140 characters times 5 is what? 700 characters a week and she makes more than 90% of teachers do in a year. Why? Because she made a sex tape.
While I admit she is attractive, she has no discernible talent. She doesn't sing or act or do anything that contributes positively to society. She has no athletic prowess. She has not invented anything. Yet, she makes over $2M a year just by posting one Tweet a day. I really need to f**k Ray J.

Robert Pattinson Replaces Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 4
The news dropped like a bombshell early this morning that Sony Pictures has signed Robert Pattinson (Twilight) to replace Tobey Maguire in the titular role in Spider-Man 4.
In the official press release, Amy Pascal, Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures and Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, announced that Pattinson would not only be assuming the role of Peter Parker and his alter-ego, Spider-Man, in Spider-Man 4, but also in Spider-Man 5 and in a spin-off film to be announced at a later date. It is no secret that Pascal has been shopping around for an actor to fill the red-and-blue tights for some time. Only a few months ago, negotiations between Sony and Maguire nearly broke down because of the actor's reluctance to return to what he described as a "worn-out concept."
Sam Raimi, the cult film director and mastermind behind the multi-billion dollar Spider-Man franchise, recently blamed the failure of Spider-Man 3 to meet expectations on corporate control interfering with his creative process. Is the Sony Pictures press release another example of the type of control Raimi was referring to or a step toward realizing the director's vision for the franchise?
When asked to comment on the press release, Raimi said: "Decisions like these are always difficult. I know the fans liked Tobey -- and I greatly enjoyed working with him - but Robert is the future of the franchise."
The press release did not indicate what the spin-off film might be, but recent speculation has focused on Morbius, a mainstay in the Spider-Man comic book mythology. In the comics, Morbius is a "living vampire," a victim of an ill-fated experimental treatment involving vampire bats and shock therapy.
There has been no word from Tobey Maguire's representatives.

Gay entertainment websites are buzzing over the exclusion of a gay pairing in the trailer of the upcoming feature film Valentine's Day.
The romantic comedy, set for a February 12 nationwide release, pairs five couples as they celebrate Valentine's Day in Los Angeles. Included in the mix is Bradley Cooper, whose gay character is reportedly in love with a closeted football player, performed by Eric Dane, dreamy Doctor McSteamy from ABC's Grey's Anatomy.
But the movie's trailer released Monday omits the film's inclusion of a gay storyline.
“Is it really impossible to market an ensemble romantic comedy to the masses with a gay couple in it?,” Ed Kennedy wrote at AfterElton.com, a website devoted to male gay entertainment. “Could that really be considered a bad marketing move in Hollywood now?”
Kennedy compared the film's marketing to that of A Single Man, whose director, Tom Ford, and star, Colin Firth, have called a “universal” film, not a gay film. “First, a gay director [Tom Ford] takes a movie about a gay man based on a book by a gay man [Christopher Isherwood] and degays the marketing for that movie, and now this?”

Jake Gyllenhaal braved the snowy New York City weather for a guys' night out at the Smyth Tribeca hotel, where Justin Theroux, Mark Ronson and Scott Campbell were throwing a bash to benefit God's Love We Deliver, an HIV/AIDS charity. The single actor chatted the night away with Matt Dillon and they seemed like they were having a great time, a source says. Ronson, meanwhile, provided the evening's soundtrack and guests like Josh Hartnett and Mary-Louise Parker danced the night away.

I've been heartbroken (who doesn't..) and I remeber my friends dragging me to parties and reunions full of people to make me "not to think about it". IF Jake was at that party, then it could be that he just wanted to distract himself a little from the ache. (i'm talking about the media image Jake,not the one we believe he is). Jake was at that party, only 4 days after we found out that he's supposed to be "heartbroken and devastated". There is only one person on the planet who might not like that - Reese Witherspoon - and I'm sure NY party gossip denial was about Jake having a great time.
4:26pm ITA. Reese must have been livid when she read that tidbit. Here she has her PR giving out stories about how she's brave and carrying on after her tough decision to dump Jake and that Jake is devasted because he proposed for the millionth time and out comes a story that Jake is out at a party in NYC dancing and having a good time. The question is why would Jake allow his PR to make the denial and bow down to Reese? Either he's afraid of Reese or he hopes to rekindle Reeke and doesn't want to make waves. I still think Reese pulled the plug on Reeke. After the People story broke, Jake's rep denied the story less than a hour later. Jake dropping the girlfriend was Jake trying to keep Reeke going and placate Reese by finally talking about her to the press. Wonder why she ended Reeke so abruptly. Wasn't there a tweet about a Reese set visit about 3 weeks before?

Why did his rep lie about himbeing there, reps work on the behalf of their clients: He made sure his rep denied the break-up first before hers and then days later he makes her deny the party, he's nuts.
Reese used People magazine to spoil Jake's Brothers promotion spotlight, that was the only thing she could do to spite Jake after he refused to continue the fauxmance.
Seeing what seems like hundreds of posts on JJ about couples and the holidays, I have a hard time believing Reese would not have preferred to wait a month or so to end it, so I do think it was Jake, and that Reese may be doing things to get back at him.
Still puzzled over the party denial, when have you ever seen a celeb do that with something that is good pr for them? Makes it seem like the problem is the charity.
The fact Disney is okay with a children's aids charity is not the same thing as supporting one associated with gay men/gay sex.

You may think that I am a cruel man. For weeks I have been holding the interests of our male heterosexual readers and our female homosexual ones by focusing on female celebrities. Jake doesn’t appear interested in being a character actor anymore, he’s after popcorn flicks now (POP franchise) and romcoms("Nailed", LAOD ). I'd like to see him on "best" lists for his acting rather than his looks with the likes of Efron, Pattinson, Sienna Miller, Chace Crawford.

ReplyDeleteDo you know PRNewser? They are a company that is paid to talk about other companies. Put out press releases and that kind of thing. Anyway, they did a press release for one of their clients, Ad.ly, and they interviewed the co-founder. Well, Ad.ly is known for bringing advertisers and celebrity Twitter posters together. He let it slip in the interview that Kim Kardashian gets $10,000 per Tweet and that she does one ad Tweet a day. Seriously? That many people want to buy what she buys? She does have 2M followers, but $50K a week? For just saying stupid crap like go buy a pair of shoes at such and such a place. So lets see 140 characters times 5 is what? 700 characters a week and she makes more than 90% of teachers do in a year. Why? Because she made a sex tape.
While I admit she is attractive, she has no discernible talent. She doesn't sing or act or do anything that contributes positively to society. She has no athletic prowess. She has not invented anything. Yet, she makes over $2M a year just by posting one Tweet a day. I really need to f**k Ray J.

ReplyDeleteThe news dropped like a bombshell early this morning that Sony Pictures has signed Robert Pattinson (Twilight) to replace Tobey Maguire in the titular role in Spider-Man 4.
In the official press release, Amy Pascal, Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures and Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, announced that Pattinson would not only be assuming the role of Peter Parker and his alter-ego, Spider-Man, in Spider-Man 4, but also in Spider-Man 5 and in a spin-off film to be announced at a later date. It is no secret that Pascal has been shopping around for an actor to fill the red-and-blue tights for some time. Only a few months ago, negotiations between Sony and Maguire nearly broke down because of the actor's reluctance to return to what he described as a "worn-out concept."
Sam Raimi, the cult film director and mastermind behind the multi-billion dollar Spider-Man franchise, recently blamed the failure of Spider-Man 3 to meet expectations on corporate control interfering with his creative process. Is the Sony Pictures press release another example of the type of control Raimi was referring to or a step toward realizing the director's vision for the franchise?
When asked to comment on the press release, Raimi said: "Decisions like these are always difficult. I know the fans liked Tobey -- and I greatly enjoyed working with him - but Robert is the future of the franchise."
The press release did not indicate what the spin-off film might be, but recent speculation has focused on Morbius, a mainstay in the Spider-Man comic book mythology. In the comics, Morbius is a "living vampire," a victim of an ill-fated experimental treatment involving vampire bats and shock therapy.
There has been no word from Tobey Maguire's representatives.

But the movie's trailer released Monday omits the film's inclusion of a gay storyline.

The single actor chatted the night away with Matt Dillon and they seemed like they were having a great time, a source says. Here she has her PR giving out stories about how she's brave and carrying on after her tough decision to dump Jake and that Jake is devasted because he proposed for the millionth time and out comes a story that Jake is out at a party in NYC dancing and having a good time. The question is why would Jake allow his PR to make the denial and bow down to Reese? Either he's afraid of Reese or he hopes to rekindle Reeke and doesn't want to make waves. I still think Reese pulled the plug on Reeke. After the People story broke, Jake's rep denied the story less than a hour later. Jake dropping the girlfriend was Jake trying to keep Reeke going and placate Reese by finally talking about her to the press. Wonder why she ended Reeke so abruptly. Seeing what seems like hundreds of posts on JJ about couples and the holidays, I have a hard time believing Reese would not have preferred to wait a month or so to end it, so I do think it was Jake, and that Reese may be doing things to get back at him.

The fact Disney is okay with a children's aids charity is not the same thing as supporting one associated with gay men/gay sex.

ReplyDeleteHead of Disney Studios is a gay man and I'm sure no one has a problem with charity that provides meals for seriously ill people.
